Initiate Roll -lets see who goes first!-
Ro'arks eyes glowed softly, leaning himself gingerly against a felled tree as his gaze ran across the grassy mostly barren area. The ember glow flaring brightly as he caught sight of a dark figure not far off in the distance. Nostrils flaring, his thin lips quirking into a sharp, but brief smile.

Having gotten separated from Azra'iel as well as Kiru, Rylia found herself walking along. The area was mostly barren, some patches of grass here and there, but that wasn't important. Rather, what was important was that along the path she was walking, just up ahead she caught sight of something red. Neither staggering or coming to a pause in her walk, she continued, the object or rather...moonfolk in question becoming clearer. For some reason however, she did not like the feeling she was getting as she approached him.

Rylia wasn't about to wait to see if this twilef was going to attack. She didn't like the feeling she was getting and found it was enough to say she could attack. Dark smoke quickly appeared beneath her where she stood, stopping as the Dark energy pulled upwards, crafting itself into a bow. She quickly fired.

The dark shape not simply some intangible shadow, but another twilif like himself, so pitch black in color that had it been night out he might not have seen her at all. Eyes narrowing curiously as he watched her move, wielding some sort of dark force. Widening a moment later as he found himself darting aside from a deadly arrow, watching the thing thunk firmly into the tree behind him.
"A presumptuous thing aren't you? Attacking before even exchanging greetings...I don't take kindly to rude creatures" Ro'ark barked at the female, eyes seeming to glow all the more fiercely, summoning up a pair of fireballs and arcing them out at the dangerous female.

Rylia quickly frowned when her attacked missed. She had hoped that it had missed to see whether the twilef would attack back or try to request talking it over. She had hoped it would have been the type to talk it over, but found that perhaps she might have been right if she hadn't attacked first.
However, her missed attack was enough to rile the twilef up enough to attack back. She didn't hear his words, merely brushing them off when they had been spoken, paying more attention to the pain she now felt. She skipped back a few feet, a burning sensation on her chest, quickly shaking it off. Not taking much more then a moment afterwards, she readied another attack, once again firing yet another barrage of dark arrows. She still hadn't spoken a word.

Ro'ark stifled a grin as he watched the dark female reel away in pain, served her right for attacking him! The burning color of his eyes seeming to fade slightly after such a use of power.
Gasping and reflexively darting to the side once more dashing forwards as he dodged yet another volley of annoying arrows. Watching the dark things pelt the ground around him..Quite a good shot the little female was...It would be bad new for him if he ended up impaled by one of those deadly shadow's.
Were he not so worried about being speared, Ro'ark may have stopped and asked her how she conjured the weapons, and more curious specifics to that end. For the moment though he was only worried about taking her down, another much smaller volley of fireballs flying free from his hands towards the female..

Rylia found it was alot easier this time around to dodge the fire twilef's fireballs. She really didn't need to get hit after that first shot. Fire burned and now she knew what that felt like and she didn't want to feel that again. She wondered, just a tiny bit, about what the twilef might be thinking. She might have considered stopping already if he had, but it seemed too late to turn back and it didn't seem like he was going to stop either. So. She retaliated, drawing dark energy from the black smoke that appeared beneath her feet and then fired.

Ro'ark frowned darkly as the attack from the female continued, apparently range was her ally, her attacks seeming distance based. Geared towards keeping her enemy's at bay, and striking from a safe place..He had to wonder if she had other tricks up her sleeve as well. "Is your aim getting better little one?" Ro'ark mocked snippishly, not that he was one to boast..a bit of taunting never hurt though.
Deciding to try and get closer as he dipped beneath another volley of dark energy. Fingertips touching to the ground and grass beneath him, igniting strips of fire that quickly sped towards the female, almost looking like hungry blazing snakes as they burned closer..

Rylia could only frown as her attack once again missed. It was getting rather annoying, her opponent dodging every one of her attacks so far. She wore a frustrated expression as his words this time ringed throughout her ears. ""Mocking me won't do you any good. Your recent attacks having been the best either" she retorted, her eyes narrowing as she watched him all of a sudden decide to draw close sending strips of fire directly at her.
Rather then stand in one spot, she dashed to her left this time, dodging the blasts, but keeping in mind that even she dodged, she felt the heat those fireballs exhibited just by being close enough. She wasn't about to be hit yet, taking the opportunity to gather dark energy to a smaller bow. She stopped abruptly and pulled back on the string of energy, firing smaller, more shots this time hoping to hit.

"A slight bit better then your own!" Ro'ark was tempted to be childish and stick his tongue out at the dark female, that would have been extremely silly though, and he was above such things! Still the females teasingly angry tone irked him some, she was a quick thing, quick enough to avoid his fire as he avoided her dark energy..
He watched her dodge with an abundance of grace, eyes widening slightly in surprise as she attacked him yet again. The many bolts whistling as they flew past, some close enough to make him glad he'd yet to feel their sting. Forced to retreat back further lest he wish to become a porcupine, ro'ark snorted angrily, glaring at the girl as he set the grass ablaze once more.

"we'll see about that" Rylia quickly responded after her attack, yet again decided to miss it's target. It was getting extremely tiring to see her many arrows missing. At least one could have hit! But it seemed she was going to use a different strategy to land an attack...if she missed with her arrows again. She'd try the longer ones this time. She smiled somewhat as she stared at her opponent who stared her down angrily. She let out a small, but short chuckle as she quickly rolled over onto her right away from the line of fire made by the ignited grass. "Let's see who has the better aim!" she said as she pulled back on what seemed like air, dark energy circling and forming quickly, yet again into a bow, firing off less, but faster shots this time.

Ro'ark no longer wished to see, and very quickly wished he could have taken back his mocking little comments. Breath rushing out in a hiss as a bolt zipped over his shoulder with a nasty cold sting. They seemed to crackle with angry dark energy, not hot and fiery like his own but surely more deadly.. Another of the demonic things deciding to graze past his leg, an inch more and he'd be digging it from his flesh. The annoying bolts leaving him with small cuts as he tried to shield himself with his flames, ducking down in some attempt to avoid the rest of the onslaught.
"Oh-ho-ho...Maybe I was a bit quick with my words mnn? It seems someone has quite a bit more luck then I thought she did" Ro'ark found himself smiling, as much as he wished to avoid becoming a pin-cushion, he had to admit the girl was good. A challenge even, and who didn't love a challenge?
"Lets see if your luck holds up!" he scoffed, the fireballs that flew from his hands larger this time, a sloppy attack that might have been better against a large group of enemys..

Finally! An attack finally went through and she couldn't, well, she could, but she was proud of herself! Though she had hit him finally, she couldn't help but feel a little bad for hurting him. She had no idea how her own attacks felt to an opponent, but she was sure it was painful in some fashion. She chuckled, about to walk over when he spoke. That was when she no longer felt bad about injuring the twilef. Still with the smart remarks. She scoffed at his remark. "I wouldn't con- and that was when he fired his flames, rather more of the same fireballs, but a hell of a lot larger this time!
With a frustrated expression, she found herself rolling just inches of getting burned. A close one it had been because of her dropping of her own guard after finally getting in one hit. She stood once the fireballs were clear of her. "We'll see if this just luck then" she whispered taking a similar stance and pulling back on an arrow that formed as she readied an attack. "Tell me if this is merely luck now!" she quickly said, firing a single long shot this time.
