It was nearing morning when Arianrhod tumbled out into the plains beside the river. The sky overhead was slightly overcast, the grayish clouds twisting and curling past the brightness of the sun, blocking out most of the light.
Arianrhod's mother was still sleeping a few yards away, Gale's head tucked beneath her wings. Arianrhod watched her for a few moments, her own small wings fluttering, then trotted back over to the river, dipping her nose into the cool water. She bent her knees, dropping down to lay beside the river, feeling bored. She wanted to do something, wanted to be adventurous, be exciting, yet...there was nothing.
Ari snorted. What a dull day.

It was that time again, not even a good ways in to the start of day and already the young colt wanted to get himself in to a bit of mischief. That would have to wait however, because the young male didn't even have the energy geared up to get started on such a task.
Zaitus let out a short yawn as he spread his wings to try and take in as much warmth as he could get at the moment, which wasn't too much at the moment. He would just have to wait until the sun peaked in to the sky.
"Tch, well this is just stupid then..."
He shook his head, the corner of his eye catching sight of one of his sisters, well..the only one around at the moment anyway. But this isn't...
Grinning, the young colt started his way towards the filly, his movement starting out as a walk, to a sprint, and then a charge.
If one thing would brighten anyone up...it could be cold river water.

Ari did not see her brother until he was seconds away from her. With an indignant squawk, she tried to dart away before he hit her, but it was too late. With a small thud, Zaitus collided with her and they were both thrown into the slow-moving river.
Sputtering, Ari snorted in surprise as the cool water cascaded over her head, soaking her small torso. Her wings fluttered uselessly in the river, wet and dripping, and she kicked her front legs up onto the riverbank, hoisting herself up.
"Zai!" she screeched, shivering. "What are you doing?!"

It was a raging battle within his small body. The coolness of the river, and his need for heat, it was mixing well for him, but what could he do at the moment except lift himself to his feet and try to shake the water from his fur and feathers.
His black mane stuck to his head and shielded his eyes. Such a look only made him seem dumber and goofier that his current grin already did.
"Ah, come on sis, Ari~ Don't be such a spoiled sport. I was only trying to have a little fun. Plus," the colt skipped his way to the river bank and playfully nudged at his sister. "You know you would have done the same thing if you had the chance to!"
With that said, the colt shook his body like a wet dog and fluttered his wings open in an attempt to get them dry. "What were you doing leaving yourself sitting by the river anyway?"
