Ok well..
There are ghosts in my house, my sister is terrifide (sp?) and she wont calm down unless their gone. Their mostly in my room. I'v tried salt, lavendar, and dragons blood. None of them worked. So I was wondering if you guys had a solution to get rid of these specters in a non-pagan way so my sister can help.

Those might be it.. Iv seen 4 for sure. Right around the picture area, and my parents room.

Please help if you can..

Looks like specks of dust to me. I cannot really tell, but most orbs i have encountered have somekind of aura around them and are diffrent colors.

But hey, its just my opinion.

There's nothing in them that can't be explained by tricks of light, but that doesn't mean there isn't something out of the ordinary going on here. I'm just not convinced by the photos. whee

The best thing I have to suggest for the girl is for her to ignore them and pretend they don't exist. Make a shield, of sorts. While I don't know why they might be there, if you don't acknowledge them, they stop having power over you whether they truly exist or not.

My house is a little ghosty, too. Mine apparently loves my cats and dislikes the dogs, but has nothing to do with humans.

Well, if you really believe that you have ghosts, the best thing to do I think is just make peace with that fact. If you do have ghosts, it's more likely then not that they were there first. If you accept it you'll find eventually it'll stop bothering you, reacting too much can just make it seem like more is happening.

Hey, you might even appreciate the company sometimes.

Ghosts aren't all bad. If they arent doing you any harm the best thing to do is just to leave them be. You're sister will get used to them eventually.

Ghosts are there whether you like to think so or not. If they want to stay, they're going to stay. You can always try things for them, but it doesn't always work. I'd just explain to your sister that it's nothing to worry about. They won't hurt you. If you're seeing them, you're lucky. The chances of any real danger, are extremely slim. I'd be more excited about having a ghost in my house than scared.

My friend has a ghost in her house, and it's completely benign. Most of them are just lonely, they're not trying to scare you. Just explain to your little sister that if they haven't hurt you by now, then they're not going to, that's what my friend did and her sister might not like it, but she's come to terms with the ghost now and mostly just ignores it.

When I lived in England, There were ghosts that lingered about in my room and in my hallway. Methinks that you shouldn't drive them away but began to ignore their presence? At first the ghosts just appeared and did no harm but then I tried to drive them away, it failed and I suppose it increased their sightings. Things fells but harm came to none. I beleive we should all just except them as they are unless they harm someone

hey you know i go to reading this thread and i was like wow its like something i seen somewhere... anyway about the ghost thing, kinda investigate what happened at the place you live before you lived there...example when i was about 12 we lived in a 2 story house that was haunted, and on my 13th birthday it was a friday so i was having a sleep over, it was about midnight and we heard footsteps coming down the stairsand about half way they stopped then we heard "daddy stop!!!!!!!!!!" and then we heard like a body fall down the stairs hit the bottom and we heard a loud crack and seen a teddy bear roll across the floor scared the s**t out of me and my friends....
anyway as i was saying investigate and see what happened and you might be able to help them....

I have a small theory against ghosts but with paranormal activity (hope no one minds me going a bit off topic for the sake of voicing my opinion and hearing some feedback). Although I could make a thread for this, I didn't feel it was too big of a topic since it is more of a hypothesis or a hunch rather than a theory since I have yet to test it (thank god I haven't. You'll see why).

First of all, mostly everyone will agree that the mind is a powerful thing. Now some are also familiar with some term about things going out in a flicker with a last boost of energy before dying rather than dying out. Well, I view death from the "victim's" point of view where they might be struggling to keep alive or have an extremely powerful tie with this world that keeps them fighting to stay alive while being scared shitless of the possibilities at the same time. All these emotions that could happen to someone who knows their dying might be enough to kill the person, wouldn't you agree? But still, if you think about it, if you were them, on the brink of death and doing anything to stay alive or do something, fighting to do one last thing for the sake of your own life, wouldn't that be enough of a push for powerful metaphysical actions such telekenisis or the fabelled illusionary mind over matter concepts? What if people do die and have no choice but to leave this plane of existance without the anchor of their body but their struggling mind exerts one final blast of life, one final moment of thought, that would explode and hang over the place of death for a very long time or even forever.

Now why I would imagine this is because I believe it would be too horrible of a fate for nature to allow a soul to remain on this plane of existance, wandering and wandering for answers or haunting because they have no other way. It is insufficient and just doesn't make sense as to why such a thing would happen. The mind, however, generates electrical charges much later after death and maybe during that initial moment of death, a large electromagnetic impulse is set off from the brain, like a bomb, to hang over the place for a while, causing illusions and paranormal activity that is very similar to the fabeled telekenetic and illusionary skills of super-human people who claim to have "mastered" the power and will of the mind. Couldn't that explain the strange things we see that could only be left behind by a dead man, the strange occurances of moving objects or spontaneous haunting noises that may have lingered in the "victim's" mind before dying, or even the typical electromagnetic disturbances in the haunted place in question?

Is that too far fetched or does anyone else think I'm going somewhere with this? As someone who loves and studies nature and science (major in bio) I only see Nature doing sufficient things with a reason, and I just don't see any reason why a "soul" would be left to wander for eternity. It isn't just sad or amusing, it is just inconcievable in my honest opinion.

Yes, sorry for going off topic. As for the pictures, I believe they might be dust particles floating in front of the flash. It has happened before in many cases but then again, orbs have also been present during paranormal activities as you say. Even if they are not made of dust or anything of that sorts, I cannot claim it to be a ghost. Even if you feel the presence or hear things that are too human not to be, I still believe it would be the final thoughts of a person who has passed away in that house or has had an attachment with someone or something in that house. Hey, I could be wrong, but that's just how I feel about the topic of ghosts.

In my opinion, a person is never truely dead until their spirit resides in wherever spirits go after death. "Ghosts" are imprints left behind by people who wree afraid of death and chose half-living to leaving this world. What we see are those imprints on reality and the presence of their spirit, still attatched to a favourite childhood place or memory. That is just my opinion. You may discredit it if you must, but you can't say i am wrong because it is an opinion.
