Like an oasis only those that know it's location may find.
A Secret Garden lies amongst the forest.
Eden resides there in that garden, and occasionally she sends more fools to die there, in more ways than one.
A carpet of lush foliage and soft grass coats the floor of the hide-away, and a stone structure sits nestled into the trees. The gentle babbling of a stream flows into a small but very deep lake.
On a solitary island in the center stands an enormous knotted tree with fruits that look like apples the color of rubies shining in the pale moonlight.
Currently the vampire lays leisurely lounging on a large smooth rock staring up at the untouchable heavens above.
Recently Eden had poisoned another soul with her tainted blood and she knew that soon he would come looking for her.

Loki stumbled along, the eerie feeling from before getting to him. He had left the Dome, as he felt unable to continue fighting at full strength. The feeling dragged him into the Garden, leading him on until he came to Eden.

"And it seems you have found me, little one." Eden purred as she floated down from the rock to meet Loki.
"You were cleansed by the dome medics, but yet you felt the pull. Excellent." Her face was alight with smug satisfaction.
Suddenly there was an empty cup in her hand.
"You would embrace my dark gift, Fox?"

Loki thought, but before he could wrap his mind around a decision, his mouth opened, the feeling answering for him. "Yes I will" he answered.

Eden saw the flash of the Hunger in Loki's eyes and her bright smile flashed revealing her fangs ostentatiously.
The way the blood flowed into the cup from the twin holes in her wrist made it look like crimson wine.
As the vampire offered her newest fledgling the glass, she had led them to a flowerbed, filled with beautiful blossoms in hues of pastel.
"Drink the glass and you will become what your blood is begging you ever since your first taste, unfathomable strength and eternal life." Her voice was barely a whisper, more like breath that formed words almost by accident.

Loki took the cup automatically, instinct and feeling ruling out anything the brain was trying to say. He drank it down slowly, somewhere between drinking wine and drinking water.

"Good boy." She praised him genuinely, but it may have sounded condescending considering their recent acquaintance. Eden could almost see the change in him spreading from his chest radially to his limbs.
Eden could no longer recall the last moments of her life. There were many things she remembered about her life, but she slipped from consciousness so quickly she didn't have time to register emotions with her internal experience. She imagined Loki would be in a substantial amount of avoidable pain, but she was not about to be so generous with her abilities this time.
"I would imagine it is starting to get pretty hot here, isn't it?" She teased not waiting for a response before giggling and making her offer.
"I can speed the changes from three days to three hours, and I can do it for you with a relatively painless procedure, but you have to assure me that you will not be running off to that bloody-goody-goody-Exorcist the minute you do something you rather would not have. Otherwise, I can't promise how much fun the next three days is going to feel."
She stood from her throne amongst the flowers and childishly placed her pale hands on her hips.

"I'm not on the best of terms with the Exorcist, and I would rather live, then most likely run to get myself killed" Loki replied, crouching and clutching his knees. "I've done things for others that I would not prefer to, I won't disobey."

Eden's face lit up with surprised pleasure.
"That's excellent news. Perfect, in fact. My how things are aligning in my favor this time. I must remember to pay my tributes to the Dice Deities before my next trip into the Battledome." She drifted off in a flurry of thoughts before nodding in silent agreement.
With a gentle hand she adjusted the Fox into a billow of flowers. His muscles were flexing and twitching beneath his flesh and as she placed her hands upon his head they began to glow a rainbow of colors one after the other.
When all the color had drained from his pallor, Eden withdrew her hands.
Faster than the human eye might perceive the vampire's hand thumped against Loki's chest stopping his heart with the impact.
"Yes, add blood and bring to a boil. Yes, I've done that now I just have to wait until the timer sounds..." She chided giggling and skipping like a school girl, off to procure something for her fledgling to drink when he awoke.

Loki woke up suddenly, feeling odd. He moved himself into a cross-legged position, checking to make sure his tail and ears were still there. He satisfied that his body was mostly the same, except for the vampiric changes to it.

Soon after Loki awoke, Eden arrived dragging a struggling Buck.
It kicked and twisted but Eden's grip was far too severe.
"This should do for now, as there are no mortals within miles of here." She pulled the massive animal onto the ground and offered it to Loki, pointing to the large artery in it's neck.
He seemed a bit distracted, surveying his surroundings and taking personal inventory, but when she saw his ears twitch she smiled, mischievously.
"Or would you prefer to work for it?" She started to allow the beast to it's feet again.

"Wouldn't be much of a challenge, and why give the poor buck a false sense of hope. I personally wouldn't want to get messed around with like that, then again I am, or I was, part beast." He got up and moved over, biting down on its neck and drinking.

Eden understood his reasoning, but did not share his view. Somehow she'd chosen the mercilous route, preferring to return the injustice she felt wronged by.
"I suppose then, it is safe to say there maybe some unexpected changes with your conversion. Since you have fed, you will begin to feel differently, most likely you will have intense urges or outbreaks, but soon you will learn which to prevent and master alike."
The pale faced vampire smiled approvingly.
"Now go and be as vicious as you please, but just do not sire another vampire."

Loki's tail and ears flicked in an agreement motion, draining the buck dry of blood. He wiped his mouth before looking at the corpse. "The bones may be useful, may I use them?" he asked.

With a gentle pat on the Vampire Fox's head, Eden nodded.
"You may do with them whatever you please, but I am curious, what did you have in mind?"
The vampire dipped her finger into the open wound that steadily leaked blood, and then put it to her lips. A distasteful frown manifested and she tried to wash the terrible taste from her mouth.
