TGI Thaidays wasn't exactly the quietest place in town, especially during the busy hours: if it wasn't the loud chattering noise of people wanting to talk over one another, it was the tinny sound effects of the variety of Three Kingdoms-inspired arcade games that people were button-mashing the hell out of. This was casual dining, not a fancy restaurant -- it wasn't a place you take a girl out to eat in order to propose to, that much was for certain.
However, as noisy as the place got, it was still very unexpected to hear people screaming.
But there it was, the gasps and shouts as the thing -- some awful, oversized roach-man-roach as it scuttled out of the kitchen door, brushing against the leg of a pretty pink-eyed redhead and making her drop all of Table 7's entrees all over the floor. Nora normally had a pleasant voice, a caring one that sometimes earned her an extra dollar in the tip department; however, when she screamed it was far from pretty. The girl screamed like a banshee at a boy band concert. This did nothing to stop the bug-thing, but it did bring people's attention to it.
Some were equally horrified and disgusted. Others were taking cell phone pics and bemusedly dreaming of the health violation scandal stories that would be happening on the news soon.

The restaurant was a sit-down place, but barely, which was good for Andrea, because it meant he could work eight to twelve hours a week as a host. He did not mind the job because his friend Nora was usually there, and even when they did not work the same shifts, he could at least share stories with her and she understood perfectly. Tonight was one of the nights they worked together, but so far, things had been busy enough that the boy figured he would have to wait until his break time to talk to her.
... Or perhaps not, he thought worriedly as Nora's shriek pierced the air. Andrea had been about to seat a family of five, but he held up one finger to indicate that he needed a moment; the concerned looks on the faces of the parents indicated that they had gathered there was something wrong, though. The sophomore grabbed the walkie-talkie that sat up at the host's table, and pressed the button down to ask the obvious question to the bunch in the kitchens.
"Hey, uh, what's going on?"

Ilie followed her monster out of the kitchen, looking very green-skinned and bemused. The people she'd found hadn't exactly been forthcoming about the importance of 'love', instead choosing to focus on the fact that she had green skin. This had not exactly been conducive to Ilie not unleashing, um, a <******** enormous cockroach on the restaurant.
She was fiddling with the little handheld device she'd taken from one of the men in the kitchen when it crackled to life; in a very un-Ilie move, she fumbled it in her shock. This was not a cell phone! She had seen cell phones! Frowning, she dropped the walkie-talkie and then stepped on it with a crunch. There. That was that.
"Rotch, I find myself irritated," she said, "by the preponderance of humans in this room. Get rid of some of them."

The kitchen had been splendid for Rotch, the inviting smell of energy rising with the commotion of a busy night of cooking. The cooks, who were probably thinking they were relieving their worst nightmare, scrambled about themselves, but not before shortly hearing a hissing blast that caused them all to crouch down in pain. Falling to the ground to run on his many hands and legs, Rotch rushed by, letting his antenna smack about before finding victims to pull into his multi-armed embrace and suck dry. It was delicious, and he salivated on a good many of the cooks and a few bus boys before rushing out of the kitchen.
More. More. There were more people all rushing, expending energy in their haste to get away. “Rrrroootttccchhh”, the man hissed, letting the wings against his back rise up and flicker before going back to rest on his sleek, multi-sectioned body. In the mad rush, he raced between legs, tripping people over to quickly grab the fallen and while they streamed and kicked, latched his mouth over theses to muffle them before he sapped out there energy. Once done, he left a slimy drool over their mouths and left them worn as he went about finding others.

Bell had simply been walking past the establishment when she heard screaming. She knew the place to normally just be plain loud, but these screams were not those of fun and games, but of terror. With a furrowed brow the Crystal girl peeked in curiously. Now a days since she was taking the senshi deal more seriously, she had become alert and curious of any sound of alarm. She didn't sense any youma-like energy, but what she saw was like something out of a bad bug commercial. Pale eye widened at the sight of the giant roach. Her mouth dropped open as the roach drained the energy from a pitiful innocent.
As the giant roach went about looking for his next victim, Bell removed herself from the doorway and looked for a secluded place in which to transform. Whatever this was, it was harming citizens, and these people seemed to have gone dumb with their terror.
Finding a place, she made her transformation in to Bellatrix, and burst into the building in what she hoped seemed like a dynamically heroic fashion; "Anyone call for an exterminator?" Bellatrix said with a confident almost-smile. ....Okay that was cheesy, but she had to confess that she really couldn't resist.

Nora couldn't believe her eyes as the man-monster scuttled across the restaurant, this was just plain awful! She'd heard of the monster sightings around the city, knew some people who had seen them -- knew of some people who'd wound up in the hospital because of them -- but until this point, she'd been lucky enough to have never seen one herself. And now the most disgusting monster anyone could dream up was here at her workplace, doing harm.
She had no idea what to do -- there the monster went, sucking the life out of her customers at table 7 -- she really didn't know what to do.
"Andy, there's - there's some kind of... bug thing in here!" she answered her friend, who had probably noticed it already by this point. There was always the option of smashing it with a rolled-up newspaper, but the thing seemed far too big for that to be effective. The cups in the restaurant were also too small to catch it in one.
Nora panicked around the tables of the store trying to reach her coworkers, unsure of how she should behave around what looked very much like dead bodies -- and then a uniform familiar to anyone paying attention to the local news burst into the store, and the girl breathed a small sigh of relief. If the sailor senshi were as good as they were seeming lately, this one would certainly be able to do something!

"Hello?" Andrea clicked the button and twisted the volume knob on the walkie-talkie, but received static as his only reply.
Fortunately or unfortunately, the screaming had convinced the party of five that there would be at least a short wait, and they backed away from Andrea's host's podium as he flashed them a quick but lame smile and turned to go back into the restaurant proper to see just what the hell was going on.
... And stopped dead as he saw a few frantic cooks and dishwashers pouring out of the kitchen ... followed by an enormous cockroach. He had heard things about monsters on the news, and, well. He would ordinarily dismiss such tales as hoaxes or figments of people's imaginations, but knowing Robin long enough had instilled enough of a willingness to believe in such things. This thing in front of him could not be denied, though. No way a regular human could even fit into a costume and be able to move like that.
Which meant that this was a very real danger, he realized as the initial shock wore off. There were a couple people lying on the floor already - a sight that made the hairs on Andrea's arms stand on end.
The boy darted to the sushi bar; Mister Yamada was on duty there tonight, and Andrea knew that he possessed a set of extremely sharp knives back there. He would not have to pass too near the roach, fortunately, but if the thing was quick enough, it might be able to cut him off and trap him behind the glass that kept customers' hands off of the fresh fish on ice at the bar.
"Nora, are you alright?" he shouted over the general sounds of chaos.
He thought for a moment that he had caught a glimpse of the school girl-looking terrorists who had been all over the news, as well, but Andrea did not fully register what that meant as he grabbed one of the knives from where they were kept on a magnet strip behind the sushi bar.

Primly, she locked her hands behind her back. There was a reason why this was one of her best Cardians--gross enough to make some of them run, but skilled enough to catch them. Heheh.
She scowled at the senshi. "Ugh, no, no one called you." Hadn't Ilie stomped on the squawking thing? She had! So why was this senshi here now--how annoying. How disgusting. Oh well--the Cardian could take care of the senshi. Ilie had bigger fish to... um... Well, she could do something different!
So she followed the pink-haired girl, reached out to snag an arm. "Come here," she ordered--if she got enough leverage, she was going to use it to pull Nora back towards her.

Rotch was doing its job and doing it well. As people scattered, the exits started to jam and people raced about, knocking over tables and tripping over themselves. As each one fell, Rotch rushed out and grabbed them, letting its limbs clutch them tightly before latching it's wide, dripping mouth over theres and sucking the energy right out. The place as powerful with energy as more and more people panicked to the point they forgot where he was, and tripped over him often. To further their hysteria, Rotch rose up and opened it's mouth wise to let out a powerful hiss that sent customers and workers around him to clutch their ears and sink to the ground. Satisfied, the Cardian continued it's work, racing to pick off the people who had fallen from it's scream and started to collect more energy with a merry "rotch" as it moved along.

When Ilie spoke, Bellatrix looked and saw a umm,...rather green girl. Her first thought was 'wtf, Elphaba fail?' but seeing as this was a restaurant and NOT the arts center, Bell was willing to bet the chick was most certainly with the giant roach.
Bellatrix's attention, though, was soon reclaimed by the Cardigan as it let out a hiss. She winced, the noise paining her ears. Seeing that the creature was once more on the prowl, Bellatrix knew she couldn't let it harm any more of these people. She knew her attack wouldn't kill it (hell, what COULD kill a roach?) but maybe she'd be able to tick it off and have it come after her instead...lure it away and phone someone who could take care of it.
Resolved, Bellatrix's face took on a look of determination and she held her hands out beside her as swirling rings of energy began to form. Bellatrix knew she had to be focused and determined or else her attack would fail. Couldn't have that happening now!
"Amazon Chakram"
Bellatrix tossed the rings at the Cardigan. With any luck, her aim was hopefully improved, along with her new found...fortitude.

As Andrea brandished the knife and moved back to the end of the sushi bar to get into the restaurant proper again, part of his mind inquired firmly, what the ******** do you think you're doing!? The knife was obvious for self-defense, but now that he held it, the boy was not wholly sure what to do with it. Try to escape the building? Attack the monstrous cockroach? How would he do either? It moved about unpredictably, and Andrea knew from experience how difficult it was to properly place a jar to scoop up a scurrying roach of regular size, let alone how to evade a man-sized one.
His green eyes went as round and large as the Emperor's Seal Dumplings as it gave a sucking kiss to one of the patrons, leaving the poor man limp on the oriental-patterned carpet. Then it let out a hiss that brought Andrea's frantic attempts to form a plan to an abrupt halt. Taking care not to cut himself by mistake, he clamped his hands over his ears, though it did little to stop the piercing sound.
Escape was rapidly taking up the majority of votes in his mind as a course of action, but he was still loathe to leave Nora behind. Still clutching the knife, he moved around in front of the bar and tried to get towards Nora so they could, with any luck, slip out the emergency exit in the back of the kitchen. His gaze remained glued to the roach, though, and his steps slow and steady - with any luck, it would not notice him at all, and if it did attack him, well, then the boy would just stab as well as he could.
He found some relief when he saw a ring fly through the air at the roach, and stopped for a moment while his gaze left the monstrous insect long enough to find the source of it. ... Right, the "terrorist" who had shown up. Well, as far as he had seen, this looked like an attempt to help him and the other people there, and the bug looked far more terrifying than a girl in a skirt. There would be time for judgment later - for now, Andrea had to make sure he and Nora got out alright.

Having obtained her grip on the pink-haired girl's arm, she was not impressed at the girl's choice not to answer her question. Well, that was alright; there was more than one way to skin a member of the feline genus.
Or to suck a human's energy dry. Ilie had such problems remembering which was which. "Rotch," she called commandingly, and she gave Nora a shove towards the monster. A woman behind it was pulling her child away, running for the door, past the senshi. Was that love?
Hm. Rings of... light flew from the senshi towards her Cardian, and Ilie scowled. "Surely you could take this time to properly style your hair," she snapped, more out of habit since the restaurant--almost empty by now--was still full of the cacophonous screaming. "Perhaps braid it entirely?"

Rotch had found an elderly man who had been shoved down and while not the one with the most energy, it had been a easy pick. As he quickly dinned on the man, he turned his attention to the latest arrival. Her energy signature was a giant spotlight, brimming with energy that made the Cardian dribble drool down it’s chin. The few people that still remained in the restaurant, a few suffering from fainting spells or couldn’t decide what exit to take, were barely appealing in front of the senshi, and Rotch darting towards her. As much as Bellatrix had aim, Rotch was fast, and the ring flew by.
“ROTCCCCHHH!!” A high-pitched yell rang out as one of it’s limbs was severed from it’s body, flying across the room to land on someone’s dinner plate, bug guts flinging itself on the wall and floor. The creature had stopped, jerking as it worked through the pain, now an amputee with only 5 limbs. Gritting it’s teeth, it turned when it’s master called, and turned it’s attention away to go after the pink-haired girl, grabbing with it’s remaining limbs to take her energy.

As Nora was tugged and passed around like some sort of human bargaining chip, she struggled against Ilie's grip, but for a moment she was stuck in the dreaded Princess Grab and could only squirm and writhe while she watched Andrea try to make his way towards her. In the meanwhile, over the senshi's battle cry, the distressed waitress was doing the only thing someone in her position could do: give the strange green-haired person a stern talking-to.
"I can't believe you're doing something like this, and in a family restaurant, of all places! You should be ashamed of yourself, you... you-- whatever you are! That pet of yours is making a complete mess and there. Are. CHILDREN in here! I can't believe the nerve you have, that you'd be hurting all these people in front of their families! Didn't anyone ever teach you people that violence doesn't solve anything? I never--"
And then she was ungracefully thrown to the ground in front of the man-roach-alien-thing -- her uniform was an absolute mess now -- but the important thing was now her eyes were on her.
"Oh, dear."
Giving a small yelp, she scuttled backward as fast as the creature was scuttling forward, until she was backed into the tablecloth of Table 9, where the Three Springdom Rolls that had been recently brought to it were still steaming hot and smelling delicious.
"Please, whatever you think you're trying to do -- killing people isn't going to do it!" Nora stammered, drawing her legs up close to her chest.

The one who appeared to be commanding the giant roach shoved Nora to its mercy, but the insect had its attention for the moment on the senshi who had treid to attack it. Andrea took this opportunity to dash to Nora's side ... except it took a couple seconds longer than it should have to get there, since people had upset tables in chairs in their panicked attempts to escape.
This meant that, by the time he was within arm's reach of Nora, the oversized cockroach was already closing in on her.
Nora pleaded with the monster and Andrea stumbled over the last chair, trying to regain his balance even as he attempted to position himself between the bug and his friend, unsteadily brandishing the sushi knife. This was an utterly stupid idea and the nasty drooling bug was probably going to kill him next now, but ... if Andrea had fled and left Nora there, he never would have been able to live with himself.
"Yeah, get out!" he shouted. What else was there to say, really? Maybe the senshi would be able to attack the roach now that its back was turned. Or ... go for Nora instead of him, and he could stab it before it got to her. Andrea could hope, because he certainly could not plan, not fast enough.
