Learn before you say stupid stuff. Lions have a pretty good offense. QB in Stafford is still young, but he might be good. Calvin Johnson is one of the best WRs. They have a good TE they drafted last year. Jones is also turning into a good RB. Can't say they have a bad offense. They have the playmakers.

The line is what's bad.

wrong they made the Playoffs when Favre was playing.

Barry Sanders anyone and Aaron Rodgers is to young to retire.

Three seasons ago the Miami Dolphins went 1-15, then followed up the worst record in the NFL with an 11-5 record the following season. Proving that any team, if they play their cards right can turn things around very quickly.

The Lions have done lots of good things to bolster their team this offseason. Many experts say that to this point the Lions have been one of the better teams in free agency.

Of course with a strong Minnesota and Green Bay team most likely fighting it out for division supremacy, I believe the Lions are still a good 3-4 years away from becoming a legitimate playoff contender... at least. Current prediction, I can see them being a better team next season, get a few more wins under their belt, but still a long ways away from being considered Superbowl Material. at this moment I see them finishing 4-12 or 5-11 next season. Another step in the right direction, but far from perfection.

Maybe in a few years.... Because their offense is pretty good. Maybe work on the line...work on all areas of the defense....but they're close to having a pretty good team.

yea man i know. im just basing it on their record for the past few years. strafford is a good QB, i just think he doesnt have any people to throw to; like tom brady and randy moss, tony romo and miles austin. You get the picture?

Not spell Stafford right, also capitalize names.

Calvin Johnson anyone. He has decent Tight Ends but they aren't the best in the NFL. Anyways what needs to change for them(the Lions) is the O-Line.

More than three, but certainly not the 20 or 30 people are talking about. I'll be bold (or crazy, lol) and say they'll be contenders this decade. ninja

Miami did that on a gimmick and one of the best coaches of all time, they really weren't that good of a team, however the Lions have a lot of young talent, pretty good coaches and there GM seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. I could see them making the playoffs as a wildcard in two years.

The fifty year curse is now expired and they are rebuilding. But it takes at least five years to bounce back from a bad draft let alone being the worst team in football history statistically.

And being one of the oldest teams in the league doesn't mean you are good. Look at the browns, or the forty niners, or the cowboys..or actually look at all the teams that are historically there, not a lot of them are that amazing.
