Donovan sat in a corner of the library, book in one hand, the other hand holding a quilt around himself. In this cold weather, one would think he'd have more than just a quilt, but he was so into his book, that everything around him was muted.

*Anotsu wandered in and went to the window as if to stare out of it. Though he could not see, the lightness of the outside was soothing to him. It was proof he was no prisoner here and he could come and go as he pleased. He heard the soft breath of another creature in here but did not want to draw away from the window just yet. Bob had told him it was snowing and he wondered what that would be like. Maybe later he could go out for a few minutes to experience it. The concept of tiny drops of rain frozen into little lace like flakes was hard to understand.*

Viktor snuggled and melted farther into the blanket he had stolen fromt he dryer. .... he knew Thomas wouldn't be happy that he was being a laundry theif, but it was so worth it. He was so comfortable he wasn't even able to move to say hello. heart

Donovan closed the book he had been reading with a sigh. Not noticing the other in the room before, the sudden sight of Anotsu momentarily startle him. He recovered and finally spoke in as plain english as he was capable of; "Hello?" Accent driped of the word as Donovan spoke.

*Anotsu turned his head toward the one addressing him.* Hello *He spoke in a quiet no nonsense voice. He enjoyed hearing the sound of someone speaking to him. It meant he was not still in that room. Though it had been a while and he did not like to admit it he did still have nightmares about it. The voice sounded friendly enough and had the most delightful accent. *

"I am Donovan,...realatively new here. Might I enquire who you are?" Donovan attempted to make conversation, noting the Medusa's old battlescars. He inwardly shuddered to think what he'd been through.
Even though Donovan's own life was no day in the sun, one could easily say he had been relativly spoiled, living in that old forgotten pyramid, with the luxuries of the weathy dead that had been living there, and his 'adopted parents' that brought him day by day enough food to satisfy him. He had his 'sister' Angel who kept him company through the days,...taught him to read and scribe,....socialized him in a way.
Donovan had a luxurious life, and the thought of what he would be like if his life had been reversed,...he thought of this, and felt bad for his fortune, and the one before him's misfortune. Donovan felt he should offer his friendship to this person.

I am Anotsu, it is nice to meet you. *Anotsu replied. He was not sure what to say next. He couldnt even read braille though Bob was trying to teach him. He had so very much to learn and was a bit ashamed of his ignorance. Maybe if he had a proper mother and father it would have been different but now he had to deal with what was instead of what might have been. Maybe he had been in the darkness for so long that light hurt him. He just was not sure anymore. The only thing he could be sure of is Bob cared and this new voice seemed to want to get to know him. It scared him but he took the advice he was given. "Thinnk of it as a battle and face your worst enemy, your own fear. Stare it in the eye while you move forward. then and only then you have won the fight.*

Donovan leaned back against the wall, "hn,....yeah." He sighed, and debated betting up to take a look outside, but he was warm, and didn't feel like getting cold again, like when her had first entered the room. he continued to converse; "It's quiet here, isn't it? Seems the winter has stolen the life from everyone."

*Helena sat in a chair, sketching out whatever was on her mind. It always relaxed her to hear the familiar sound of pencil to the paper. She knew Bob, her owner couldn't draw at all so to make up for his lack of skill she had tried to draw him as many things as possible. She heard someone humming under their breath and enjoyed the tune. Whatever song it was seemed catchy.*

Holden wandered about. He'd smelled something nice, like a garden...only it was closer. He made his way to it, hearing the faint humming.
He smiled when he saw the purple dragon, "Hello."
