Pattern but not Logic
Many people.. or maybe not at all.. Have heard of the ever so famous.. or not so famous.. word game called Pattern but not Logic. My goal is to see how many of you have played Pattern but not Logic, and soon will make this a continous game. (Similair to those like "The Word Game" or "Would you Rather".
Rules: -Simple create a statment by saying ____ but not_____ -The person who follows must then relate the last word with their first word. EXAMPLE:
Person A: Apple but not dog. Person B: Doggies but not sports Person A: Soccer but not dinosaur. etc.
-The first word in your stament must include a double constanent or vowel, but the second word may not.
EXAMPLE: Person A: A pple but not dog. Person B: Doggies but not sports Person A: Soccer but not dinosaur. etc. -Please be kind and no random chit chat.

No, neither Man nor Beast would work.
Another example: Mississippi but not Computers.
(The two word choices do not have to be related in any way.)

Haha.. no. smile lol I showed my sister this and she was like "I want on so I can play!" Hopefully somone will catch on soon.
Examples: lollipop but not reptar aardvarks but not supercalifragilisticexpialidocious tyrannosaurus rex but not onomonopia
and a simple one Kittens but not cats

I think the biggest issue in our not understanding it is the lack of explanation on HOW it is supposed to progress from one phrase to the next.
For example:
Lollipop but not reptar
...okay, sure. But what does THAT have to do with:
Aardvarks but not Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
What is the relation that makes THOSE work but none of the ones we've put so far?
If you can clear that up for us, then we'll get it.

Haha that's the whole point. I was waiting for someone to catch on and then people can just go from there.
But seeing as I don't think that will happen. I will tell you. For example: Pattern but not logic.
It's a pattern.. the first word follows the pattern but the second word doesn't.
The pattern is that the first word will have a double constant or double vowel. (ex: squall, aardvark, door, etc.) but the second word will not.
So then you have Pattern but not Logic smile
