It took a lot of deep breathing for Fifth to do this parenting thing, but he felt like he was at least... starting to get the hang of it. It was early in the afternoon and, given that spring had finally sprung, he was taking the twins to a greenhouse. As per usual, it seemed like only Gabriel, the boy attached to his right hand, was excited about the outing. Damien's only reaction seemed to be the fact that he hated holding his dad's hand.
Gabriel jumped up and down, the little wings on the sides of his head perked straight up while his tail flipped back and forth excitedly, the height that he was able to jump on those legs of his worrying Fifth just a little bit. Finally getting loose from Fifth's grip on his hand, he squeaked happily and grabbed hold of Damien's hand, pulling him away toward the greenhouse, full to the brim with excitement.
Damien yelped when his hand was grabbed and snarled as he was dragged without his consent across the stupid flower place. If it had been up to him, they'd have gone somewhere cool, or gone nowhere at all, but then, it wasn't up to him. That didn't stop him from backpedaling and digging his claws into his brother's hand. "Gabbie! Leggo me!" He hated how his brother was always touching him. Like he deserved attention. Gabriel only whimpered softly at the claws and slowed down a bit, looking over to his brother with a soft pout.
"Amie, is fun! Watch, pwetty, you'ww see," he said with a smile, tail still thrashing back and forth as he pulled his brother forward and then into the greenhouse where he then released his brother's hand, staring upward in awe. "Seeee? Towl'jou."
Damien obediently 'saw', looking at the shining green and glass box with wide eyes. He liked the way the glass reflected the sunlight. The smallest of smiles graced his face. "Yer right. 'S pretty..."

"Why Daddy and Lilewam going?" the raven-haired girl asked, looking down at her guardian from her lofty perch atop his shoulders. She didn't see what was so interesting about plants, especially when they weren't edible. After all, if they were going to go see something yummy like peaches or apples, she'd understand; Daddy liked them. But to her understanding, these plants were not yumyums. So what was the point?
Akheper grunted; this had to be the fifth time the child had asked since they started on their way here. "Plants....magical and pretty." he muttered in explanation, eyes locked straight ahead. This child was driving him insane with the constant chatter! Would he never know the joys of peace and quiet again?
Lera wrinkled her nose. "Pretty?" she said, frowning. "Why Daddygo see plants for pretty when he has Lilewam? Lilewam prettier than ANY 'toopid flower."
The orc sighed, mu ttering to himself in his native tongue. It was moments like this that made him wonder why he ever wanted to be a parent.

Gabriel was positively transfixed by the many different plants, looking all around with wide, red eyes. It only took a short period of time, however, for the wonderment to wear off. Butterfly headwings were tipped back in concentration as he dug around the greenhouse for the prettiest, most glorious plant he could find. He then inspected it nervously, headwings and ears twitching gently.
"Damien...?" he inquired warily in a slightly sing-song voice, tail curling and uncurling worriedly. He turned, tipping his head and quirking his ears and headwings cutely. 'I'm pwettiew dan dha... hey, wookit," he segued, seeing the little girl on the green man's shoulders, head-appendages perking as his tail flicked a bit, jumping with his strong legs to see the girl better and grinning.
"Hey! You gots awms wike my wegs - we'we two ha'ves of one 'howe dinosauw!!"
While Gabriel was enamored with finding the prettiest, most extravagant flower, Damien was bent down by the dirt, amusing himself with the little sentient things growing under there. Small tendrils of grass clung to and were cut by his claws while miniature venus fly traps nibble at his fingertips. A small smile graced the toddler's face, one that persisted when his brother began asking him a question.
However, before he could answer, his brother was gone. With a small gasp, he hurried after his brother, not wanting to be left behind in the scary green place. When he caught up with Gabriel, he half-hid behind him, baring his small teeth threateningly at the tall green man with the green-armed girl.
Fifth, along with his boy's, was just about as excited as they were. Green eyes wide, he stared around the greenhouse in childlike wonder. He'd never seen so many of these things before! All he'd ever been was 'fight! maim! destroy!' and he hadn't looked hard enough to notice such cute little things. As such, while the twins ogled at the girl and her guardian, Fifth flicked his taloned fingers at the friendly little blades of grass.

"That awesome!" Lileram said, giggling as she scrambled down off her fathers shoulders, ignoring the muttered curses the man rattled off in his native tongue. "Wait.....what a dinosaur?" she asked, curious. Since she was apparently half of one, it had to be something epically cool and amazing. She looked over at Gabriel, as if she'd just noticed him, frowning. "You stoppit. Not nice." she said, shaking her finger at the teeth-bearing boy.
Akheper was too busy muttering over his new set of puncture wounds and ripped shirt to pay much attention to the children. Honestly, could he not go one day without that child clawing him to shreds and ruining what few clothes he'd bothered to buy? Ugh.

Gabriel giggled when the girl said that she didn't know what a dinosaur was, tail flicking around behind him as he grinned at the girl happily. "Siwwy! Dinosauws awe big and taww and they gots shawp teef and scawy cwaws(claws) and they wived a wong, wong time ago when Earf was a baby!!" he prattled on happily, ears and headwings both perked up with the joy that he was feeling, talking about looking like something that made him awesome and great and better than everyone else.
When his brother was addressed, he just idly waved his hand in the boy's direction and stuck out his tongue. "Don' wowwy. Stay 'way and he'ww be awwight, he's just awways angwy. He gots poison in his teefs."
As if to further prove his brother's point, Damien growled again, showing off those poisoned teeth. He hated hated hated whenever he used his poison to break someone all the way to the hospital, but maybe he could make an exception for this girl. Something about her rubbed him the wrong way, and he slid a bit more behind Gabriel. His brother was great; he could protect him.

Lileram frowned; she did NOT appreciate being laughed at! "Lilewam not sillies." she huffed, puffing her cheeks as she crossed her little green arms. "Lilewam bets they not that scawwy." She looked over to the boy and, in spite of herself, stepped back. It's not that she was afraid, no, that wasn't it. She just didn't want to get any booboos or anything like that.
"Bein' angwee isn't nice." she chastised, shaking her finger at the meanie boy. "Neiffer is gwowling."

It was when the girl dissed dinosaurs that it was on. Gabriel pouted his lower lip just a little bit, his eyes tearing up in the way that they did when he decided that throwing a fit was the way to prove a point. Watery red eyes glared slightly and he stomped one of his clawed feet, scraping at the ground with those large claws of his. "Yes you awe siwwies if you doesn't know what a dinosauws is!!" he snapped back unhappily, though his voice didn't contain anything but whining, his DNA keeping him from expressing rage towards this enraging female. How could she be so stupid?!
"And they AWE scawy!! Scawier d-dan you c-c-couwd evew be, 'c-cause you'we not even as scawy as DAMINEN!!" he yelled pitifully, tears suddenly breaking the dam as he started crying in the most pitiful, heart-wrenching, fake way, stumbling to the ground and hugging his arms around himself, a way of dealing with things that was infantile, yet he had still not trained himself out of it. And besides, he was so good at it that there was no reason to try to do something else, right?
It was when the girl made his brother cry that it was on. Damien hadn't liked her from the beginning, but now he full-on despised her. He laid a quiet, comforting hand on his bawling brother's head, oblivious to his playacting, and snarled once more towards Lileram. "Yow're vewy silly, 'n' stoopid too. Only stoopid peopwe hurt my bruvver."
Although he would never admit it, Damien's confidence rose just marginally when Gabriel said that he was scarier than this stupid, ugly, fat girl. Even if being scary was a bad thing, it was better than nothing. He chose to live up to his reputation and strode bravely forward, shoving Lileram roughly in the chest. "So you should leave us alone. Now, 'afore I gotta make you bweak." He bared his poisonous fangs a little more menacingly than intended. If they actually managed to get into a fight, she had no idea who she was dealing with.

Lileram look confused a moment; why was the other boy getting upset? He was the one who'd called her silly! He had no reason to cry! And the other was taking his side! That was so unfair! She was the victim here, not him! He was the one who'd verbally attacked her first! Why couldn't they see that? She placed her little green, clawed-hands on her hips, and was about to return the verbal fire when she felt herself being shoved backwards. She flailed her arms, barely able to keep her balance.
Blue eyes widened a moment in shock. Not only had that horrible little boy touched her, he'd shoved her! An act of hostility? Against her?!?! Blue eyes narrowed as an almost inaudible hiss escaped through her gritted teeth and fangs. This. Meant. War. "Lileram not stupid! Boff you stupidheads stupid! Dinosaur stupid too!" Tears of frustration welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill. Stupid boys, not realizing her awesomeness!
A clawed finger pointed to the mock-crying boy, eyes little sapphire slits. "You a sissy. Cry baby. And you-" The claw swung to point at Damien. "You just a meanie. Need a time out." She pulled her hand back, crossing her arms and turning her back on the pair. "Stupidheads!"

An uncharacteristically cruel smile spread across Damien's face when the fat ugly girl wobbled, and he wished really hard that she would fall and hurt herself. That would teach her to make his wonderful brother cry! But, unfortunately, she didn't, and the smirk transformed into a snarl. He hunched down slightly and spread his claws threateningly, adopting a natural fighting stance despite having never been trained. His Wrath blood was flowing strongly now, and was beginning to override his instincts, his virtue, and his better judgment. But of course, none of that mattered if Gabriel was crying. All that mattered was hurting that fat girl. Who was also stupid. And ugly.
A growl broke from his throat when the girl called dinosaurs stupid, which only was going to make Gabriel cry harder, and even her odd insult of a 'time-out' didn't faze Damien's rage. He did, however, take a small moment to wonder what a 'time-out' was. If it was some kind of punishment, he knew he could handle it. He handled Fifth burning all of his cuts closed, after all.
And then, the girl made the mistake of turning her back on them, and the evil smile returned. The advantage was Damien's. Without a word, he rushed forward and unceremoniously tackled the mean girl, snarling fiercely as he tumbled over her. He dug his claws into her without hesitation, pulling at her hair and kicking at any part of her he could reach. His teeth gnashed ferociously at a scary proximity to her ears, but he refrained from using them just yet. It would be a surprise that he would use only if he had to; he always got in trouble for breaking people that badly. His voice was a high-pitched growl as he yelled at her. "No, only stoopid, fat, ug'y giwls who don't gots no bwains turns back on a fight! You'we totally much more stoopid th'n Gabby, or even me!"
