In both games they even use almost identical weapons and fighting stances/moves. I mean, I would kinda expect this if it was the same team on every game, however a different team, producer, and director are on each FF project. That's how you keep a series strong and ever changing so to not get stale. Has anyone else noticed things like this across any of the other games? I'm not counting the reuse of Summons/Guardian Forces/Espers/etc. ninja

lol well of course not summons or espers or whatever the hell square feels like calling them but there is a difference between the 2 soldiers....in final fantasy 7 avalanche the shinra soldiers (normal garb soldiers, not counting the SOLDIER rank like Zack and Sephiroth) wear a helmet with a yellowish visor in front for them to see, also they carry nightsticks instead of blades for melee weapons like galbadia does, shinra troops also use rifles alot, galbadian troops don't use guns that much and most actually use close combat blades or weird types of swords in the game final fantasy avalanche for the PS I have never fought a shrinra soldier that uses a blade or sword of any kind except for the SOLDIER ranking shinra soldiers like SOLDIER first and second class

I don't think that Avalanche: Final Fantasy should really count as an argument here, as it was a fan made game and had no connection to Square Enix. ninja

well nonetheless, Final fantasy VII was a good game but it has become a bit overrated but yeah in crisis core the similarity is too identical so i'm thinking that the team got lazy or something lol

I see similarities but they don't look the same to me. You have to remember Tetsuya Nomura is a bit lazy when you look back on his minor character designs, because a great majority look the same. Some of the major character designs hold similarities as well. I don't think it's Square's fault more so as it is their character designer's.
