Lily glided across the ice feeling rather tired. She been staying up for a long as she could before she conked out from exhaustion at four to be reawoken at seven. Three hours of sleep was doing her little good, but it was achieving currently what she wished to achieve. No time to dream and that meant no nightmares.
Lily was, however, a teenager and therefore adjusting to the awkward sleep schedule had not been excessively hard, that and it had only been three day, plus she hadn't been sleeping well with the nightmares to begin with.
She wobbled slightly as she went across the ice for a moment before righting her balance once again and pushing forward ignoring her feelings of fatigue.
Oh how she wished Fallon was there. She would have something else to focus on other that skating and a friendly chat as well. She grinned slightly thinking of the teddy bear she had picked out the for hospitalized girl. She really hoped Fallon would like it.
Feeling a little less tired now and a bit happy Lily glided across the ice a little more quickly.

Rose could cook. Rose could surf. Rose could make you cry with her mad DDR skills. Rose could also skate, therefore she thought it was perfectly logical that she would be able to ice skate. As far as she could tell, the main differences were rink material and footwear. How much harder could it be to skate on ice with bladed shoes then on pavement with tiny wheels?
The answer was very different. The redheaded girl looked confident walking towards the ice, and even after taking a few experimental steps. Her confidence soon betrayed her though as she slipped, fell back on her butt, and slid a short distance. Sitting there, she looked confused, irritated, and almost petulant, though it was unlikely that she’d admit it.
With a huff she staggered back to her feet and wobbled towards the rail, reaching it just as she was starting to lose her balance again. Standing there on shaky legs, she couldn’t help but mutter,” I wonder what loon first decided that ice skating was fun.”

Lily smiled when she notice the girl fall on her bottom on the ice, it reminded her of when she met Fallon. It was so ironic and it was the perfect distraction.
Lily skated over stopping off to the side of the girl before gliding over to the wall and hearing the girl's words. She laughed lightly, "it really is a lot of fun once you learn to keep your balance."
Lily skated around to the other side of the girl, "My name is Liliana Jacobs. It's nice to meet you."
She stopped once again placing one hand on the rail and positioning her feet so that they lined up with her shouldered. Her knees where loose, not locked and stood up straight.
"Try to stand like this or you will continue to wobble."

“ I’ll take your word on that.”
Rose eyed Lily’s posture and tried to imitate it, only stopping when she realized that her feet were pointed outwards, something that would probably lead to embarrassing results. Turning her feet forward, she tried again, please when this time she felt steadier. She still refused to let go of the rail though.
“ I’m Rose Sullivan. Pleased to meet you. I take it you skate a lot?”

Lily watched as the girl took a moment to regain her balance, smiling the whole time. Once she had she introduced herself and Lily gave her a bit of a surprised look. The girl's name was Rose.
"My sister's name is Rose," she said giving a small giggle, "My name is Liliana Jacobs. Pleased to meet you too."
She stated around the girl slowly, "Yes, I have spent a good amount of time at the rink since I was six. I skate for fun, though, so I am not as good as some of the others you'll see here."
She stopped for a moment, "You'll have to watch out for some of the more experienced skaters. Sometimes they skate a little to fast for beginners. It can make you lose you balance to have one speed by you."
Across the rink a little girl tripped on what appear to be some slick cracking ice. It shimmered slightly and hissed. The girl frowned down at the ice, before quickly scooting away from it. "Starseeds," it hissed, but the little girl had skated off, so she did not hear the ices words.

“ Another Rose, eh? She must make your life interesting.”
Rose tentatively let go of the rail, and although she was still slow and wobbly, she didn’t fall down. If she could just go a bit faster she would consider this a success. However, ice-skating was not looking like something that was going to end up on her hobby list.
“ Well you’re plenty good to me. I can roller blade, so I thought this would be easy; guess that’s what I get for thinking.”
Rose saw a little girl fall out the corner of her eye, but didn’t pay much attention to it. In fact, she thought about it just long enough to be grateful that she wasn’t the only one falling on the ice. Rose didn’t really look at the little girl, and didn’t hear or see anything odd about the scene.

Lily laughed her hand going up to her curls. She twined her pointer fingers around a loose curl, "Actually, my sister can be a real pain. She use to be really fun, but now we mostly attempt in vain to bite each others heads off."
Lily extended her hand to the girl, "Its not that hard really. Come on I will show you. You just have to go one glide at a time and remember to keep your balance centered until your body remembers it on its own."
Lily thought on Rose's words than realized that she had never gone rollerblading before and had even had a pair of roller skates on her feet. She wondered if she should try it sometime. "If you can rollerblade, than I bet you will be great in no time. I myself have never tried to rollerskate or rollerblade."
The ice shifted and a dorsal-like fin began to grow from the ice, getting bigger very slowly. The hissing was getting a bit more coherent, but as no one was currently near the spot, it went unnoticed. Once form the fin drifted lazily around in a circle gaining strenght.
Another person tripped and fell flat on there face, the fin disappeared beneath the ice ready to attack its fallen victim any second.

Rose very nearly gaped at the girl’s statement.
“ You glide on ice with blades strapped to your feet on a regular basis, but you’ve never been rollerskating?” She shook her head, which made her loose her balance for a second, but she quickly got it back. “ Seems backwards, like scuba diving before learning to swim.”
Rose took the Liliana’s hand and tentatively let go of the rail. Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. It wasn’t pretty, but she hadn’t fallen back on her rear yet, so she’d count it a success. Spying someone else falling down, she commented,“ At least I’m not the only newb out here today. That’s the second person I’ve seen fall recently.”
