How can our guild help you?
arrow I need help working through writer's block.
~The best way we offer to work through writer's block is FIZZLES! A fizzle is an idea that you randomly choose from a mass of ideas and you simply write your heart out in any direction your imagination takes you after seeing the fizzle.
~Fizzles can be found in the Classroom Subforum. There will be more instructions when you get to the Fizzle thread.
arrow I realy want to get published, but I don't know how to go about doing it.
~First off, you can only get something published if it's polished as much as it can be and then some. Polishing your work takes a combination of editing, feedback, and a firm understanding of basic concepts in story writing.
~Once you have a polished product that is as amazing as it can be, we have publishing experts with up and running threads on how to go about finding a publisher and going through the publishing process in the All Things Publishing Subforum.
arrow My grammar's not the best. I need some help.
~Not to worry, we have an editing sticky in the Classrooms subforum where you can post your work to be checked gramatically.
~We now have a grammar teacher in the Classrooms subforum. She can help you learn, as well.
arrow I'm looking for feedback!
~Our subforums work like the writer's subforum on gaia, with the exception that flammers are not allowed in the guild and are kicked out when found. Members here are requested to find something GOOD an something THAT NEEDS WORK in every piece they read and are asked to SUGGEST IMPROVEMENT.
~We also have monitors who's job is to ensure that you have at least three readers for your work within a week of posting it.
arrow I'm looking to improve my understanding of elements of a good story.
~The Classrooms subforum offers a variety of classes including creative writing classes. If you find you need help focusing your writing and/or making your writing more interesting, there are classes designed to help you work from the bottom up.
~Like the guild, classes are designed to help writers of ALL skill levels. The classes work from the basics often ignored in higher level writing, and work all the way through to a finished product.
