( Loosely translated: Den of King(s) ) When turmoil strikes home, lives are often left in ruins. When a war breaks out like a festering wound, those same lives are inevitably lost...Dust begins to gather on the hundreds of misshapen bodies. Roots grow over the parts of brothers and sisters that splay wildly against the earth...over those who gave up so much, and who deserved so much more.
…and those responsible; the Kings and Queens who watch their castles burn to the ground trudged on, as if all the lives of their people could be replaced with new ones just.like.that.
That is how their story begins...

Story_______________________________
Before Telk, and before all the plotting and experimenting; there was a pecking order unlike any other, within a pack that upheld a very unique tradition. Three dominant males ruled over the congregation of wolves, none of them brothers by blood, but much closer then many brothers could ever claim to be. The oldest was like a father to the latter two, both a similar and very youthful age especially to be considered for a position such as alpha. They led with pride, vigilance, spontaneity and blood-shod paws each more willing to gnarl the maw of a traitor than the next. For several years their kingdom remained intact, the solidity of its existence kept by the surefire leadership of an experienced wolf, and the strength each of his wingmen had.
Despite their combined power, nothing would last forever. With one of the leaders indulging in a controversial mating triangle, and another choosing to take no mates at all, ties between the higher powers began to break down. Then, after years of friendship and a consistent ruling, a widespread illness overwhelmed the eldest leader and as quickly as it had come about, it took his life. The famine was so sudden and so strong that as the pack mourned over their lost leader, his body continued to spread the festering sores and hazardous coughs until a large chunk of its members were infected. The numbers of this once ruthless pack dropped dramatically as Mother Nature began its cleansing process, ridding the tainted forest of its tainted rulers...
Then, an opposing pack took advantage of what mess had been caused by the deaths, and the building tension between the two groups exploded on one hopeless evening.
...they had always been there; waiting for the right moment to strike...all it took was one night.
When the war broke out, the two young wolves that remained on top had already lost tolerance for one another and simultaneously realized their ability to control the pack on their own lacked confidence. Out came the enemy warriors from all sides and down went the kingdom; knocking every wolf who belonged with the two, wet-behind-the-ear leaders onto their backs sputtering blood. Both alphas vanished, one after their mate was slaughtered before them while the other leaving without a word.
Marley arrived in Telk first it is believed, and although he suffered an emotional blow from the battle his blackened heart and relentless memory continued to remind him of what joys running a pack could, and had brought. It would be within this forest that he and Dunn reunite and begin anew; using what methods failed then, to jumpstart a life branded by the same strength and terror, only better.
But what troubles await them here? Or, perhaps a better question, what troubles have followed them like the black plague of their home land, and expect something in return for the misfortunes each alpha allowed to happen.
Welcome to [Tana de Gamberoni], located far west of the other packs. Marley and Dunn have matured since the initial war with the ‘Other’ pack and are no longer tolerant of wasted time, wasted efforts, or wasted blood..or at least, that is what they will lead others to believe. They join forces again in the present day Telk not only for the power and infamy, but for the ‘father’ that brought them to the point they are today. More so for the power and infamy though to be honest. The pack values wisdom, blood and its bonds, as well as strengths; certainly some wolves are better at hunting than others, while those who lack the talent of the hunt can outwit the brutes who fetch their meals. Dunn and Marley do not expect every wolf that joins to have a specific trade they are best at; a jack of all would be welcomed just as a jack of none. However, Marley and Dunn make it a habit to be contradicting, thus they also expect the members to fight regardless of the ability to. Invalid or not every wolf will sacrifice their lives for the betterment and longevity of the pack...perhaps in more ways then one. No questions asked. Land * NOT the actual map, just used to show where the pack will be located in the future!* Two rivers, one that sort of trickles through the jungle/forest while the other cuts through the small portion of flatland to the northeast edge of their territory. The flatlands which are, in retrospect, a thinner forest then their jungle. Trees are spaced far enough apart for hunting purposes, and the majority of prey can be found here. 'Jungle' like forest consisting of brightly colored flowers, varying shades of green moss, other unknown plant life, a small lagoon in which the river pours into, and in the 'off-center' of the jungle, a dip in the land that is obscured by the surrounding foliage; a ravine. The hidden ravine, which has several entrances and is either known about or fallen into, is wide spreading and equipped with a couple of boulders. The soft, grassy bedding adds to comfort, while the break in the foliage canopy that acts as a roof allows bits of sun to seep through and light the area. A place for meetings and ceremonial rituals. The ocean and the flat savannah-like land that spreads in front of it, some tall standing trees scattered about for protection and shade.

Two Trees__________________________
The pack will run a bit differently compared to how things used to be for Dunn and Marley. Each alpha will have a bit more leverage over two, varying 'trees': the Commoners and the Military, each specializing in different types of war strategies/hunting techniques/survival methods. There will be ONE subforum bought, and each side has the liberty to mingle with the other.
Note: There can be a ranking system amongst the pack, such as Military members may belive they have more power over certain commoner members and decide to bully them about, but all wolves obey Marley and Dunn.
The Commoners
Although some might perceive them as being the "poverish" or "boring" crowd, the reality is that the few who are accepted here are wise and crafty beyond compare. Marley heads this group with a light paw but a heavy mind; he learned quite a bit more from his deceased friend then Dunn had, thusly he knows how to outsmart before ever having to use tooth or nail to get what he wants. The commoners are split into the 'common' hierarchy:
.::. Alpha .::. Beta .::. Gamma .::. Omega .::. Seers & Shamans
The Military Wardens
Those accepted into the packs military 'sector' are some of the finest fairing combat canines of the forest. Dunn has the strongest sense of leadership between the two brothers, a trait he is very proud of and he alone has the biggest pull over what goes on within the Wardens. Although his tactics may seem harsh at first, the outcomes are almost always what he expects them to be; casualties or not, a job will get done his way. The right way. Ranks differ slightly from the Commoners, in that there are not as many to claim entitlement over:
.::. General of the Army .::. Captain .::. Lieutenant(s) .::. Soldiers
__________________________Sacrifice
It is a sport the two have talked on about for quite some time.
What is a sacrifice? Religious in nature, usually, this outrageous act is said to be done for the sake of the sacrificing people. For Dunn and Marley, the sacrifice is out of sport or protection of themselves. No member of the pack means more to them than themselves, and when one wolf tests the leadership or prowess of either alpha; well a sacrifice seems a fitting way to get rid of the problem.
Their reasoning: A lie: Sacrificing a wolf, particularly a virgin, will rid their land of anything that might be ailing it and ensure the safety of the pack in wars or spreading illnesses.
Real Reason: It is a problem solver, as stated before and a game. Not always will there be a real reason, although there will always be a fake one given out to the members for justification.
How often will this occur?: Only when it is convenient for the alphas. The concept of sacrificing will be made clear for the pack as a whole, but it will only happen whenever/if ever there is need for it.
Past Time Activities__________________________
When all is said and done, what is there to do within the pack? Here, we will list some fuuun activities.
.::. Duel/Spar: Mock fights which prep wolves for war, these duels or spars are meant for training purposes only...or, at least on a regular day they are. Marley and Dunn enjoy watching wolves beat up on each other just as much as they enjoy being brothers, so at times a lone or an omega might be thrown into the ring for a fight to the death. [This is occasionally used to get rid of Sacrifices as well.] As an additional note, winning a duel or spar will often put you in the good graces of Marley; who can, in turn, offer you many perks that have yet to be determined within the pack.
.::. Hunting: Individual hunts are acceptable. Small prey is prefered, since it is not nearly enough to feed Marley nor Dunn, however large game caught and killed must be brought to the alphas first. Whether or not they eat a portion is up to them. Usually these roleplays should be marked as [HRP], so either the alphas or their mates can come across the group who brought down the kill and take their share.
.::. Scouting/Spying: Scouting is an everyday job, but those who are more into the sport of spying can make the task fun. In any case, wolves who are caught on the territory and are not a member of the pack, are to be brought before Marley and Dunn immediately. These intruders will either be released after a quick beating, forced to join the pack, or sacrificed. Occasionally, and in the case of a war-geared plot, Marley and Dunn will assign wolves to spy on the activities of others. Only the most cunning will be assigned this 'rank'.
Beliefs__________________________
Despite their implementing of sacrifices, Marley and Dunn do value the life of the pack.
.::. Gods/Goddesses: Although it is in Marley and Dunn's nature to have others praise no one but themselves, both alphas have relied heavily on the figure 'Mother Nature', who they claim every sacrifice is for. No actual name is given for the entity, usually referred to as "She" or "It", and outside of sacrificing it is rarely ever mentioned.
.::. Slavery: Marley and Dunn favor slavery as a form of empowerment. If it betters the members confidence and strength by having a lackey, then it will better the chances of survival during times of war. It also adds to their numbers in the end; however, in order to have a slave one must approach the leaders first. Slaves join the pack without having joined at all, so their presence must be approved before it can become official. Marley and Dunn would rather not put the pack be at risk of destruction if, by chance, one of its members chooses wrongly.

Ranks__________________________
With two alphas and two very different schools of thought, there are bound to be unique rolls each member of the pack may be subjected to. Here, we'll give a description of each rank and how many of each will be needed.
The Commoners Rank
.::. Alpha: Marley's place in all of this is here. Although Dunn has a small say in what should happen amongst the commoners, it is Marley who will have the final word on all events/rulings. [0] .::. Beta: A right hand to Marley, but this wolf can NOT and does NOT step over Dunn in any way. This wolf is, in essence, Marleys mate. [0] .::. Gamma: The majority of the wolves within the commoners. Intelligence is a must, as well as humor and being a bit of a conniving jerk. The pack must have some understanding and be able to tolerate the majority of what the alphas say and decide to do. This includes all of the 'ritualistic' activities, as well as any random mauling, attacks, ect. [Unlimited] .::. Omega: The weakest link, but a necessity nonetheless. Not always as smart as the rest of the pack, shy, obedient, slave-like in use, and more commonly a virgin, they ARE the scapegoats which give purpose to the ritualistic sacrificing Marley and Dunn host. That being said, sometimes the 'omega' rank will be given to gamma's who have shown too much potential and strike the alphas as too much of a risk. [1-3] .::. Seers & Shamans: Marley has some knowledge of seerdom and shamanism and respects them for their ability to do otherworldly things, especially if it will benefit him however his overall liking of them is extremely low. They possess a strength that he does not, and although he won't let it be known throughout their land and across Telk, secretly he will loath the wolves who claim the powers. This isn't so much of a rank as it is a special note. [1-2]
The Military Wardens Rank
.::. General of the Army: (Alpha) Head to all things military, Dunn runs the roost as GA in a chaotic blend of power and menace. His sense of strategy and savagery go beyond the abilities praised in Marley...which is why he is up for the job and not his weak hippie-of-a-brother. Although Marley has some say in what wars the pack becomes a part of, there isn't much that can be done when Dunn sets his mind on something. [0] .::. Captain: (Beta) A Captain has as much liberty over the military as the General allows. Being second in command, this rank is usually taken on by those who can be trusted and are eager to please. [1] .::. Lieutenant(s): These wolves act as 'leads' in the pack, meant to communicate with the 'sector' and relay any information to the Captain that the General does not have time to gather himself. They are also responsible for settling the 'sectors' members and making sure they do not rise up against their leaders. [1-2] .::. Soldiers: (Gamma) Everyone else who decides to fight for Dunn. [Unlimited]
A shared Rank
.::. The Sacrifice: Rare as it may turn out being, The Sacrifice is a part of the pack and its traditions just as the ways set by the third deceased alpha seem to be. A crafty way to rid of problems, both Marley and Dunn choose a wolf that is offered to, in most cases, a 'higher power'. The pack is given the liberty to shred The Sacrifice during a 'sermon' of sorts, held in a ritualistic manner only as often as a Sacrifice is needed. It can be male or female, young or old, and even friend or foe; usually the pack is made to believe that the wolf offered is a bad seed, destined to spawn offspring that will destroy everything...a virgin. It eases the doubt on most of the members mind as to how just the sacrificing is. [Undecided]

Members__________________________
.
.::. Dunn: He is a rather vicious wolf, as one could probably tell from his scars. He's been in plenty of fights, and won, and doesn't hesitate to kill. Bloodthirsty and ambitious, he wants nothing more than to claim highest rank possible, with numerous pawns and soldiers at his disposal. He'll use anyone and anything to get what he wants, and he doesn't care if it completely shatters them. He kills those in his way, and rarely makes friends; Marley is perhaps his only true friend and ally. Although cold and vicious, Dunn can be clever and play the good guy when the situation calls for it. He's a good actor and has a subtle way of making others do things while convincing them that it's their own desire. Normally, though, it's all a ruse to get what he wants. .::. Rank: Alpha
.::. Marley: His past co-mingles with Dunn’s almost to the birthing process. He is a master of manipulation and quite the conniving fellow, known for his silver tongue that can either get him into or out of trouble; which ever he decides is fitting. Dunn is his brother at heart and for him; Marley will burn down the world. As for others, his devotion is limited by how much they have and how willing they are to cooperate. He has an outstanding patience record when it comes down to getting what he wants, but outside of that he can not tolerate waiting around for others to join the bandwagon. His brain has gotten him where he is today, one of the wisest wolves to have been taken in by his father figure and their original ‘third alpha’. Secretly he believes he is smarter then Dunn, and although he appreciates a lot of things in life; the bonds he forms and friendships that come about may, at times, seem like loose ends which need quick snipping and without much thought they may be snipped. Pumpkin, who is the newest edition to his brood, has managed to take the most control of him. What he believes is only a mutual bond may certainly be more then that, if he only allowed it to be. .::. Rank: Alpha
.::. Pumpkin: She is an odd character, her past is unknown to most but it's obvious something happened to her long ago to make her untrustworthy. Despite being an odd looking female her fighting prowess and hunting skill are well honed. She is snappish and hard with males unaccepting of them in general, but oddly willing to take her cues from Dunn and Marley. She champions other females and will go out of her way to ensure their safety and comfort. While being cold and calculating Pumpkin is not cruel at heart, but she does believe in following orders, and won't hesitate to carry out even the most heinous acts if given good reason. .::. Rank: Beta of some sort/first lieutenant.
.::. Accalia: Quick tempered, sharp, and somewhat arrogant and a little delusional in the strength of her abilities... she's Lera's daughter, afterall. Her history is known, but her upbringing was traditional. .::. Rank: Solider
.::. Harlequin: Harle has become opportunistic over the years, not losing the old 'self' she once knew but certainly taking on a new one. Her swift senses are attuned to greatness, her wide eyes always watching, always waiting for some movement within the foliage. She is curious, friendly when the situation calls, strong willed and certainly a strong minded female. She was part of Phibs pack as the runner, so to speak, relaying messages to him or spying on the land. With the fall of his kingdom, it has left her a bit on edge. She always knew nothing lasted forever, but Phib and his mate always made her feel as if that would. .::. Rank: Gamma
.::. Jaci: Jaci has a profound desire to please others, so much so in fact that she stands ten times more loyal then her mother could ever claim to be. She is kind hearted, appreciative, yet the humble trait she chooses to portray does not take away from her other (more sinister) qualities. Often she is quick to distrust, vengeful, tends to punish herself violently when she can not keep up to the standards her leader sets, and is prone to cast judgment before coming to understand a situation/individual completely. .::. Rank: Pup
.::. Malachi: Smart, cunning, yet wise enough to know not to ask too many questions or to be too ambitious. Survival is the key, in his mind, and any others will not win his pity, regardless of how hard they might try. He is a large bully, when it comes down to it. He is a large, brawny, forceful wolf that is eager to please and even more eager to survive and make a name for himself. A creature who has spent most of his life struggling to survive, he believes that all should fight, regardless of strengths or limitations, else they are not worth being fed or protected. He's also quick to assert and make his dominance clear over those he considers lesser than himself. .::. Rank: ???
