What are we? Are we demons? Are we imaginary? Are we protectors of this small planet? We know about as much as ourselves as others do, which is practically nothing.

We do know, however, that we are shape-shifters. We are vampires. We are immortal. And we are, supposedly, demons. But, we know nothing.

We've been killed by others for science, but what does that do? This trait doesn't go into our blood. So, then where does it go?

We're an elite group, not much survive when we bite them, but the few that do don't know what they are. But, this is what we are.

We are Jun-Kin. We cannot escape this fact. But, what exactly is a Jun-Kin?

And....

Jason tossed and turned under the covers. The phone by the bed rang. It rang once more, then split in half and fell apart. He got up, looked at it, and groaned.

"Maybe I should just stop asking for wake up calls," he said, "I can't help but attack anything that wakes me up so early."

He looked at his watch and realized how late it was. He laughed a little.

"Maybe I attack anything that wakes me up at all," he said, "I hope I don't get into any trouble today."

He got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. He avoided looking at the mirror and took a quick shower. Which, to him, meant an hour. He got out and got dressed. He liked to be thorough with his clothes styles. He was always travelling, so he had to be sure that what he wore was fashionably acceptable by the people in whatever city he was in. It got annoying sometimes, but most of the time he enjoyed copying the locals. He watched as his hair became purple and his eyes became an almost pinkish color. He was curious about how it worked, but never had a chance to really think about it. He learned a lot of things in his travels, but no one seemed to know anything about hair and eye colors changing so suddenly. He never showed anyone that he could do it, but he had asked. People always said something about dyeing, old age, or contact lenses. He knew what those things were and they definetly didn't have anything to do with his ability.

He sighed and left the bathroom. He always travelled light, leaving anything he bought in a city behind and renewing his wardrobe when he got somewhere new. He left the hotel with only the clothes he was wearing, his wallet, and his katana.

He was always asked about his parents, but all he had to do is claim that they were at home and he'd be left alone. He knew what orphans were and knew that he was one, but if he ever went to an orphanage, they'd notice that he didn't age. He even thought about attending school to learn more, but once again the matter of his parents would come up and not aging would raise a lot of questions. He wasn't even a legal citizen, but no one ever asked him for his I.D. and he stays out of the way of the police. He walked the streets looking for something to do.

Jason walked the streets and observed everything that was going on. He was as cheery as ever and showed it visibly. He loved greeting almost everyone he saw. It helped him learn more about the language and slang used in the area. It also occasionally supplied him with information on world events.

He was aware of all of the chaos in the world, but used the thought of it to drive his cheerful attitude. He hated being down and felt sad when other people were depressed. He had one goal in life and that was to make as many people happy as possible.

He greeted several people on his walk today. One particular conversation went a little longer than he'd expected and he ended up forgetting where he was even going. He decided to find someone to befriend and learn from. He saw two people standing at what looked like a bus stop.

"Hey!" he said as cheerful as ever, "I'm Jason, what's your name?"

In his mind, he felt something strange about these two. He hadn't noticed it until he got close enough to speak to them. He almost felt compelled to say his real name, but was able to hold back from actually doing it.

Sh asta woke up as the sun rose above her face.She sniffed the air once and stretched happily."MM such a nice day."She said as she simply got out of bed and headed for her closet.She smiled and decided to wake up her adopted sister shayshay.She smiled and went into her room and started waking her up."Shayshay wake up time for school."

Shayshay woke up gently and stretching."Ok ok im up im up."She said yawning as she got up and got changed for school.

Shasta went down stairs andsat on the couch and watced shayshay leave on the bus."Bye!"

"bye!" shayshay said back.

Jason looked up at Hirumu. He was familiar with his type. He usually didn't talk to people like him, because they tended to look down on him. He didn't waste time talking to them.

"Ik ben niet dom," he said, "I don't need school. I've learned more from my travels than a school could ever teach me. Although, I may rethink that. Perhaps going to school here would be kinda fun."

He smiled and looked at Yukiko. The strange feeling wasn't going away. He made up his mind to stick around these two until he found out what was bothering him.

Jason just smiled. He wasn't sure what it was.

"I learned it in Netherland," he said, "But I'm not too familiar with German, though I'm sure the language has a name of it's own."

He looked at the bus. He wasn't sure how he'd enroll into a school. He'd have to give up his lifestyle and let people know that his family was dead.
