Margret was not exactly up for this trip. She and her father were going to a mall to pick out clothes for her. The toddler had plenty of clothes - most of them were pants and t-shirts or that red top thing she'd arrived in, but they were clothes! The freckled girl was not pleased with the idea that she was going to have to wear a dress.
"But I don't waaaaaaanna." she pouted, being nudged towards the girls' section and away from the boys'.
"You're required to, Maggie. I can't help what the rules are for the gala." Vance said with an exasperated sigh.

Llujah immediately gravitated over to the girls' section of the clothes store once he and Belinda entered. This store was a favorite of the little toddler, and he was overjoyed to be back in it once again. He skipped jauntily among the aisles of merchandise while Belinda followed him, making sure he did not get into any trouble, which, knowing Llu, was inevitable.
The toddler walked through the aisles while scanning the wares for a t-shirt and skirt combination he saw the other day. As he perused, he did not pay attention to where he was walking and ran into someone. He backed away, bouncing slightly on his toes, and he saw a little girl not much older than he standing a few feet away. Llujah wagged his tail and walked up to her while Belinda came over to where Llu bumped into the girl. "Llu, sweetie, say you're sorry." Llujah giggled slightly and smiled at the strange girl. "Sorry!"

Maggie blinked, flicking her tail. Was that another little girl? She couldn't really tell but smiled anyway to be nice.
"Hi there." she said cheerily, "I'm Maggie. Who're you?"
Vance, for his own sanity, stayed conveniently out of the way to keep Maggie from feeling too pressured to buy girls clothes or socialize with other children.

Llujah giggled. "Maggie... I like that name! It's real pretty! M'name's Llujah!" The toddler wagged his tail and fluttered his small wings happily. This girl seemed to be a bit older than him. She was weird, but she was really pretty. Llujah's eyes floated down to the girl's feet, which were, to Llujah's surprise, bird feet. He quickly crouched down to the floor to get a better look at the girl's feet.
"Your feet are bird feet! That's so cool! I wan' birdy feet!" Llujah looked up at Maggie and smiled. He stood up and bounced on his toes. "I want ones that match my wingies! See?" The toddler motioned to the twitching wings on his hips.

"Thanks Llujah." she said, blinking a bit. Her name was pretty? Weird.
"Oh yeah they are. Thanks" Maggie agreed before laughing at seeing his hip wingies and thinking about matching feet. "That'd be neat."
"Do you have to buy a dress too?" Maggie asked after a bit, looking nervously around. "Daddy says I have to have one cause I's his daughter and expected to."
