Laroawan Ziya watches Seamus from the bushes.Jaxith perches on Ziya's back, "What are you doing Zizi?"Ziya lowers her head. "Shush Jax, I'm hiding."Jaxith tilts his head in confusion. "You're not very good at it..." Necrona Seamus: -sees a movement in the shrubs- Eh? 'ello? Laroawan Ziya sees the stallion look at her. "See Jax you messed it up."Jaxith caws "Uh huh sure its all my fault."Ziya pokes her head out of the bushes and canters over to Seamus. "Hi" Necrona Seamus: -perks- Oh! Hello there, miss! How goes, how goes? Is there a baddie about? Or are you just playing hide-and-seek with some as-of-yet-unseen mates? Laroawan Ziya laughs softly. "How goes what?" She gives him a strange smile "No, no baddies. If there were I'd like to fight them off!" She raises a hoof in the air in a menacing manner towards the unseen baddies. She steps a bit closer. "I was just watching you." She says bluntly, as if this were a normal thing to be doing.Jaxith hops up along Ziya's back until he is clinging to her mane. "Be polite, introduce youreslf!"Ziya turns her head to glare at the little bird on her back. "I can handle this." She turns back to the stallion. "I'm Zi." Necrona Seamus pulls a face, deciding to deal with the "watching you" bit later. "How goes it, I mean. It being, er. Life, your health, the weather. Y'know, it," he chatters. "ANYHOW. It's nice to meet you, Zi! I'm Seamus. I'm afraid you'll find my mouth runs faster than my brain."
He snuffles in the direction of the bird perched upon the mare. "And hello to you, too. I wasn't aware I was speaking to a party! You've heard my name, so might I get yours?" Seamus smiles in what he really hopes is a winning way.
"Aaaaand, if it's not too much to ask, could I maybe possibly inquire into why I of all Soquili warrant my own stake-out?" he laughs. Laroawan Ziya nods in understanding. "Oh life is good, well good for me. Jax here is having a rough time, his wings are broke you know." She nods towards the crow on her back."You don't need to be telling everyone I'm broken, am I just the pity story now?" Jaxith ruffles his feathers and hides down behind Ziya's curly hair, not wanting to be noticed. "I'm Jaxith, and I'm not broken" He mumbles through Ziya's hair.Ziya ignores her little friend and continues to smile at Seamus, maybe trying a little too hard to look friendly "It's nice to meet you Seamus. An interesting mouth you have. Thats kind of why I was watching you. Well not so much your mouth but your nose... yes your nose, or is it your muzzle? Well anyways you have that white mark on your face and those white socks on your legs. I have them too see." She takes a deep breath. "So what I was wondering as I watched you is are we related?" Necrona Seamus: Seamus furrowed his brow and felt his ears come all the way forward--a tell-tale sign he was feeling a bit out of his depth. He really hoped Zi didn't notice. Or, er, didn't know what it meant, at any rate. "Related?" he echoed. "I wouldn't know, to be honest. I never had any brothers or sisters, or any kids, so that rules out immediate link. My parents are long gone, though, so I couldn't tell you about their family relations." He picked up a hoof and set it back down again. "But I wouldn't think to relate us just because of our colors--that's like saying all blue Soquili are related! I'm sure there's lots of Soquili with similar markings that are no relation to either of us! We just have the good fortune to have nice noses and socks, don't you think?" He laughs. "And besides, I don't have a single one of those pretty little hearts on your coat. Shame, though. I think one'd look dashing right...about...here," he said pointing with his nose to a kneecap. Whaddya think, suiting?" Seamus grins.
"As for you, sir," he said, addressing the mostly-hidden Jaxith, "I don't think you're a pity story at all. If it's not too presumptuous, might I ask what happened?" Laroawan Ziya didn't seem to notice the stallions behavior. "I just have a brother, and my parents of course... My dad's family is very big though and I haven't met them yet, so I thought maybe... but you're right. And now that I have a closer look we're different. My mom and dad have hearts like mine." She looks down cross-eyed at her nose. "You think its nice? I hadn't really thought about it. I suppose its good." She eyed his kneecap closely. "A heart mark right there... Yep that would be good. Maybe you could paint one on, I saw the two-leggers painting things once." She paused to think for a moment. Jaxith peeked out through the locks of hair, seeing that the stallion wanted to talk with him, he decided a little attention would be alright. "I was attacked by a monster. It was as tall as a tree and had big fangs" He nodded. "Zizi rescued me, I almost died!" Necrona Seamus was utterly perplexed. He couldn't tell if Zi was joking or not. She seemed so frank that he was having trouble distinguishing if things were said in jest or not.
As for Jaxith's explanation, Seamus was taken aback. "A monster? Zi rescued you? This story I have to hear! How old were you? Did you ever figure out what it was? How did you get away?" Seamus was practically pawing the ground in excitement. There was nothing he liked better than a good story. Laroawan Ziya frowned at Jaxith, she preferred to have the attention on her. "It was a monster, a great big one." She raised her eyes up towards the tree tops. "It was using Jax as a play toy!"Jaxith squawks "It was trying to eat me was what it was doing!" Ziya nodded "Yes it was going to eat him for dinner I'm sure." She stamped her hoof to confirm the point. "It wasn't too long ago. I was smaller then for sure, I'm much more grown up now you see.""Zi swooped in and grabbed me from right under the monsters nose. You have to not panic in these situations you know. It was a scary monster for sure but I was being brave, I knew somehow I'd get out and thats when Zi came." Necrona Seamus listened with rapt attention. "It must've been fate," he said. "To have her come in your time of need. Apparently you weren't supposed to become monster-chow that day. So what happened afterward? For Zi to be smaller..." he whistled. "How frightening! Did you run? Or was it more of a cha-cha-cha--" here he reared up, aiming sharp-hoofed blows at an invisible foe, "--battle for your lives? And your wings? Are they still healing?"
He felt as though he was being a chatterbox, but he was so curious. A little mare and a bird, alone against a monster--he had to know all about it! Something about adventures got his blood flowing, and here were two creatures who'd survived what sounded like a particularly dangerous one. Laroawan Jaxith nods "She was meant to protect me, though I'm the one protecting her now." He chuckles. "She's always getting into trouble. You have to tell her she's gonna be getting hurt but does she listen?" He lets out a little sigh. Ziya took a deep breath before starting in. "Oh hush, you don't need to protect me. I dunno if I was meant to... I mean.. I well.. I like taking care of him anyways." She snorted but then gave a little smile to Jax. "Anyways back to the story! We didn't run, oh no. I had to tell that monster that playing with little birds was not acceptable behavior. I looked it right in the face and told it whats what!" She stood up straighter, looking proud. "We escaped though cause it was only interested in eating little birds and mice and things, I was too much for it." She said with a grin.
"Jax is still healing though. I dunno much bout flying. I'm trying to find Soquili that know stuff bout that. You know, ones with wings and see what we can do to help him fly again."
