A small building deep in the woods near the training grounds, it is made from simple wood and has no windows, and only one door. It appears to be a box of wood nothing more. The walls are very thick and have several layers of wood, the inside of the walls are covered in slits, holes, slots, and other small absences of matter. When a small button on a far wall is pressed a clicking sound commences. After a few clicks objects begin to fly from the holes in the wall at random intervals, slowly picking up the pace that they appear. This is used for training in dodging and grabbing flying objects from the air.

Maikeru had ambled off into the woods in boredom in search of something to do after he recovered from his bout with Kasen when he stumbled across the shack. "Hunh, I wonder what this i...Holy S*** I completely forgot I had this commissioned." He mumbled as he walked around the perimeter of the building, dragging his hand along the wall feeling the smooth grain of the wood. Glad I payed the carpenters well
He finished his circuit of the building and opened the door entering the dim and humid interior. A paper was nailed to the far wall, Maikeru ripped it off and read:
Dear Mr. Moyashi,
We completed the project to the specifications you provided us with, with the exception of a few alterations, which are as follows: A dial concealed behind a hidden panel will allow you to control the difficulty of the training sessions, including the speed, frequency, size, strength, and pattern of the projectiles. We also added shuttered vents so as to allow you to gain more airflow if needed, and the floor will drop and retrieve all of the projectiles at the end of each session. We hope our craftsmanship is up to your expectations, it has been nice working with you.
Project Manager Mr. Moyaji
Hunh well how about that, I think I like this guy. Now about those vents... Maikeru felt along the wall untill he found a small switch he hadn't placed in the original blueprints and flipped it. Immediately cooler air rushed into the building through hidden vents circulating the air and making it much more comfortable.
"Aaaand the...hmmm what shall I call it? I beleive 'The Dial of Difficulty' is sufficient. Now where did he hide 'The Dial of Difficulty?" He chuckled at how rediculous he sounded and once again searched the walls, this time for a small seam indicating a false panel. A few minutes later he found what he was looking for near the door. Pushing on the panel, it clicked lightly and recessed into the wall before falling a few inches to reveal the dial.
I don't have enough time for a full training session today, so I'll just test the system to see how well it works. Setting 'The Dial of Difficulty' to its highest setting, he stepped out of the door leaving it open so as to observe what occured inside.
A few moments later a constant loud clicking commenced, every two seconds.
CLICK
CLICK
CLICK
CLICK
CLICK
and on and on. After a few clicks throwing knives of different sizes, weights, shapes, sharpness, and style started flying from seemingly random holes in the wall at a constant rate.
Approximately ten clicks later other objects were added to the stream of projectiles, anything from a small metallic ball, to a crossbow bolt was flying through the air. The sound was cacophonous, hissing, thunking, sticking, cracking, to many different sounds to hear all of them all from the objects flying through the air from every direction at once.
Maikeru looked on in amazement, he had always had quite good reflexes and been able to see many quick moving things at once, it tended to benefit him greatly in fights. But this was a whole other level, everything was moving so fast it was one giant steel blur or sharp, moving, wickedly fast, possible death. And it was all for him.
Maikeru burst out laughing, he was going to have the time of his life with this training and it would help his combat skill immensely as well. As his laughter subsided he turned around and closed the door. The projectiles still flying every which way inside the building as he jogged back to the squad to resume his duties. He couldn't wait to get back and get started, this was going to be FUN.

A few days later Maikeru finally managed to gain a day free of any worry what-so-ever!
Maikeru was sprinting through the trees with extremely long strides to get to what he decided to call his "Snatch'n'Grab". Heh heh look mom I'm doing little Shunpos! he chuckled for a few minutes as he drew closer to his destination.
The laughter died off...Awwww this sucks, that was a good one and no one heard it! Lame-sauce.
The seemingly ramshackle, but still somehow well-built building rose into his sight, taken slightly by surprise he turned ninety degrees and skidded to a stop directly in front of the entrance. Nice warm up Now for the real fun He thought as he stepped into the building and activated the vents.
He extended his arm to the side and thumped the wall with his fist, opening the panel to access 'The Dial Of Difficulty'. Setting it to the second level of difficulty he walked to the middle of the room and threw a dagger at it, with the correct spin so it would hit with the hilt instead of the point.
Thunk!

Click! Maikeru flinched slightly as he heard another clicking sound accompanied by the sound of a tightly wound mechanism releasing. A knife, remarkably similar to those Maikeru carries sprang from the wall behind him to the right, near the ceiling, aimed directly for his left shoulder. Maikeru whirled around in shock as the knife shot past him, scoring his shoulder with a shallow cut before it imbedded itself in the floor. Damn, way faster than I tho... Click! S***!! This time the knife sprung from the wall directly in front of him, aimed for the middle of his chest! Maikeru smirked, waited until it almost hit him, and pivoted on his left foot back ninety degrees. The knife shot right past his chest as he threw out his arm, catching it before it could leave his reach.
"Heh, see not that hard is it?" Click! This time he managed to pinpoint the location the attack would come from by the sound alone. Spinning the knife in his hand to grip it by the tip of the blade instead of the hilt, he flicked his wrist behind him, sending the knife tumbling end over end to collide with the new projectile just as it exited the slot in the wall sending both flying off in random directions away from Maikeru.Click! "Hunh, I'm getting better at this already" He said to himself as he dropped to the ground and kicked up, diverting the knife that had sprung from near the ceiling BACK to the ceiling.Click! Heh, no problem. Maikeru stood up and straitened his clothing when he heard the next click. Where? Just then the sound of air being cut came from behind him. Maikeru jerked his head to the right, barely avoiding the knife burying itself in the back of his neck. It did leave a small notch in his ear. Maikeru put his hand up to the cut and pulled it away to find blood. "O.K. Then Lets be more careful then, yes? O.K. deal." Crap now I'm talking to myself. Click! A crossbow bolt sped from a hole to his right. Maikeru managed to roll out of the way and avoid getting skewered. Alritey then, it seems crossbow bolts have significantly more speed.
Maikeru centered himself in the room, calmed his breathing and focused, waiting for the next...Click! There it was! Maikeru spun spun on his heel crouching low with one leg out and caught the crossbow bolt, using its momentum to complete his spin and bring him back to a standing position.Click! Another bolt came flying from the wall, this time near the ceiling on the opposite side. Maikeru jumped, inverting his body so his head pointed to the floor as he swiped the bolt he was holding at the one currently flying at his face. The strike broke both bolts in half, cancelling the flying bolt's momentum. Maikeru dropped the fractured bolt as he fell back to the earth, landing on his feet quietly. Well I have those down!
Maikeru had barely settled his weight on the ground when...Click! Click! Jesus Christ!! Two at once? Who am I? Chris Angel? Maikeru glanced up in time to see a heavy dagger flying at him from near the ceiling and noticed movement to the left with his peripheral vision. Quickly thinking of something reasonably cool looking to do, Maikeru kicked his own legs out from under him, dropping himself onto the floor. Flat on his back he reached up and felt a steel ball roughly the size of a baseball smack into his hand. The heavy dagger was now about a foot away from Maikeru and aimed directly at his forehead. Using the ball as a weight to help him, he did a rough reverse-somersault maneuver, catchign the knife between his feet. A combination of its, Maikeru's, and the ball's momentum put him in an interesting pose. Both hands straight up in the air holding the ball over his head, back and legs perfectly in line, and his feet precariously balanced on the hilt of the dagger stabbed over an inch into the wood of the floor. Clack! The sound startled Maikeru from his precarious position causing him to fall. The ball dropped from his hands and rolled to a stop in a corner. He ended with a very dazed look on his face sitting spread legged on the ground. "Hunh, what do you know I AM Chris Angel.". Maikeru walked to the door and pulled his knife out of the floor where it had fallen after activating the contraption. He tapped the wall with his fist closing the compartment holding the dial and beginning the reload/clean-up sequence.
A few steps away from the building he turned around and saluted it with his fore and middle fingers. "See you next week you devil you." Maikeru chuckled as he turned and strode off into the woods.

Maikeru walked into the middle of the building, he'd just had a horrible day, wonderfully embarassed in front of the hot red head who's name he still failed to remember, and she didn't even notice. Life sure can suck sometimes.
On his way throught the door he had uncovered the dial and spun it to a random setting. Maikeru glanced over right as he threw the knife to begin the sequence, and consequently, stress therapy. "Wait six?!?! Nonono that is not," Click!, "F***" Click! "Ohhhhhh I thought that was" THUNK! "Hmmm ok maybe it was."
Maikeru steadied his breathing and focused, hoping he wouldn't get stabbed in the back too many times.
CLICK!CLICK! Two I can handle two...I hope. Two crossbow bolts flew from the wall at the exact same moment. One aimed for the middle of his chest and the other to pin his left leg to the ground through his ankle. Taking note of each bolt's approach and speed, Maikeru drew a knife and spun, sweeping his leg out of the way of the bolt. Mid spin he whipped his arm out and cut the second bolt in half halting it's momentum and rendering it relatively harmless.
CLICKCKCKCK! A throwing knife from behind aimed at his back, a large steel ball aimed for his gut, a japenese shuriken for the left side of his neck, and another knife heading for a bulls-eye between his eyes. I seem to be getting better, I can actually do this! Maikeru moved he quickly slid to the right to give himself a millisecond more to deal with the shuriken and to ensure if he missed the others they wouldn't be fatal. Spinning back ninety degrees and reaching out he redirected the knife that had been aimed for his back midflight to send it spinning wildly at the ball. Sensing the shuriken was about to stab him in the neck, Maikeru jerked his head down and to the right, the bladed weapon grazing his cheekbone and slicing off a good amount of hair. Jacka** Maikeru caught the last dagger half an inch before it struck him full on in the face and whipped it at the shuriken now embedded in the wall, breaking it in half from the force of the throw. "I didn't ask for a hair cut, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"
SNCKCKCKCKCKCKCKCK!! Ahhhhhh Hell nuggets! Small shuriken were flying from every corner and slot in the building, not at the same time luckily, but still all aimed right at him. Maikeru focused just on those about to strike and half-ignored the rest. He dropped to the floor to dodge one aimed for his forehead and rolled to avoid several more aimed at that low level. On his back Maikeru flipped up to his and jumped just as three more whizzed through the air where his sternum and been but a moment ago. He kicked the wall mid-jump to send himself across the room dodging several more potentially fatal strikes at once. As he hit the floor on the opposite side he kept rolling and drew a parrying knife in each hand, anviling them against his forearms. Maikeru whirled through the air, the clanging of blocked shuriken mixed with the solid thunking of dodged blades striking the wood, and the whisper of barely dodged projectiles cutting slits in his clothing. He slowly made his way to the center of the room, sustaining small cuts and scrapes along the way. The last shuriken flew from the ceiling above, rolling his eyes Maikeru stepped to the left and let it collide with the floor.
Maikeru was breathing deeply to recover his breath, Damn I hate shuriken, that wasn't fun at allCLICK! A small but fast moving iron ball sped for his left knee-cap, "Well here goes nothing!" Maikeru spun his body around moving with the ball to catch it from behind and lessen the force with which is struck his palm.CLICK! A dagger came from up near the ceiling while he was still in mid-motion reaching for the ball. CLICK! A large bladed boomerang exited a slot and aimed to decapitate Maikeru. Having succeded in grasping the ball he continued with the momentum of the projectile and sent it up on an intercept course with the dagger.CLICK! A small knife for his kidney. Maikeru ducked the boomerang and reached back catching the small knife.CLICK! A throwing axe for the middle of his back. He threw himself to the side to dodge the axe and simultaneously threw the knife at the boomerang thinking it would halt its deadly flight. The knife embedded itself in the boomerang throwing it off course. It whizzed around the room and somehow ended up on a path headed strait for Maikeru's current position on the ground. Seeing this Maikeru scrambled towards the axe, ripped it from the floor, and swung it at the boomerang, embedding both in the wood flooring with a pleasant ringing sound.
Maikeru grimaced, he was bleeding and starting to get worn out from all this flying about, he prayed it ended soon. Maikeru levered himself off the ground and took the quick respite between attacks to reposition himself in the center of the room. Maikeru closed his eyes took a deep breath and let the tension drain from his body. Please let this one be the end.CLICK! Maikeru strained his senses to the limit, they had been close together but he had most certainly heard six firing sounds. His eyes flashed open has he scanned the part of the room that was visible and spun as quickly as he could to view the rest. The heavy daggers, all identical, were now halfway to their target. The first for his left upper thigh, the second for the back of his right shoulder, the third for his gut, the fourth at his lower back, the fifth for his heart, and the final dagger spinning horizontally (not in the usual vertical spin of most thrown knives) to slash open his windpipe, all of them would strike at almost the same moment. Maikeru sprung into action with one thought in mind while attempting to save his own life, "S******************************T". Maikeru shot out his left hand and caught the knife heading at his throat in the middle of a spin by the blade, slicing open his palm. One. in one motion he bent down at the waste dodging the blade seeking to embed itself in his shoulder and striking the blade heading for his thigh. Meanwhile his other hand had managed to catch the blade targeting his heart, this time by the hilt, and stop it from killing him. Two. Three. Four. Maikeru dropped the dagger he had been holding by the blade and jumped, still bent over, to get himself over the last two knives. They glinted in the sunlight as the passed within inches of eachother. Maikeru slashed with the dagger in his right hand, intercepting both while they were near eachother and sending both into the floor. Maikeru landed on the ground, incurring a few more light cuts across his body from the various bladed weapons laying about. Clack!
Maikeru stood back up and winced in pain before walking out the door and back to his quarters to bandage himself up before he was needed again. Blood dripped down his arm staining the wood flooring of the building and the loam of the forest floor. His last thought as his figure was lost in the shadows of the trees was, "Damn, not so fun that time, at least I can do level seven.....kinda."

Maikeru walked in and looked around, taking in the dark sight of his old training room nostalgicly. "Well no use to me now, Vin has been kicking my A** into shape with her own training. Buh-Bye!"
Maikeru quickly wrote a note for the repair and upkeep crew that came by occasionally, they were to tear down the structure and have all projectiles and possibly usable materials sent to Maikeru's room in trunks.
Maikeru left whistling a happy tune.
