Name: Kei Norisu
Aliases/ Nicknames: None
Physical Description:
Kei's physical build is slightly daunting standing at 6’2" he possesses a strong, athletic body with a trim and well defined musculature; totaling 190 pounds. His appearance is that of a warrior, rather than a bulk of a man like a body builder. His skin is a healthy olive color, with a light tan from many hours spent in the sun. A small scar runs down the left side of his face, from his ear down to his chin; running along the jaw line.
Kei has hazel eyes, predominantly green but with flecks of brown and blue. His face is well shaped, thin with a rounded jaw, and high cheekbones, and he keeps a perpetual stubble of bristly dark hairs. Lips are finely shaped and consist of a healthy light pink color. He has a straight nose with a slight indentation along the bridge of the nose that reveals a cleanly healed break.
His hair is a deep chestnut with slightly reddish tips, and he wears his in a fauxhawk which emphasizes his widow’s peak. His left ear is pierced and he wears a single small silver sleeper earing.
While dead for some hundred odd years, Kei appears to maintain the appearance of a twenty-five year old.
Zanpacto: Wanizame Ousama (Shark King)
Spirit’s Appearance: Wanizame Ousama takes on the physical manifestation of a Megalodon, a massive shark that has long since faded into the annals of history.
Kei’s zanpakuto is a plain katana, four feet in length, and three and a half inches in width. The hilt is a vermillion color with black wrapping that allows the red diamonds to be displayed. The tsuba is a hexagon containing four rings, two on either side of the blade. The blade itself is curved slightly meeting the traditional katana shape, with a polished silver blade. The sheath is a polished redwood, with the same hexagonal design of the tsuba engraved into the wood.
In its sealed state the only ability that augments Kei is electrical perception that can be found in sharks, allowing him to sense and detect the presence of other within fifty feet of him in a three hundred and sixty degree field.
Shikai(Not Achieved)
Release Phrase: “Tear them to pieces and Feast”
At the release phrase, Kei slips two fingers from both hands into the rings within the tsuba and pulls the katana into two pieces. The two pieces of the katana morph into a pair of trench knives; the knuckle oriented part takes on half of the hexagons dimensions while the blades extend beyond the small finger of each hand continuing four inches beyond and becoming serrated.
The abilities that Wanizame Ousama gains by shifting to Shikai is the ability to create doppelgangers of Kei, while unable to do any physical harm the psychological effects of being swarmed by numerous phantasms can be truly terrifying. Like a shark attack the doppelganger effect starts off by duplicating a single clone at first which then continues to divide and multiply, the ability represents no harm to the opponent but can be used to deceive an opponent as each clone retains Kei’s reiatsu signature.
The second augmentation that becomes available to Kei is a boost in his speed, allowing him to move within the illusions and slash from a multitude of locales in relatively short periods of time, reinforcing the illusion that the many clones were real and preserving the panic and mania that might result from being attacked by a plethora of foes at once.
Finally, Kei gains the ability to use a reiatsu ‘bomb,’ by energizing his weapons with his spiritual energy; he can fire a sphere of spirit energy from either weapon, although he can only produce two at time. The ‘bomb’ works by imploding and releasing a pressure wave that can damage soft tissues like the ear drums, eyes, lungs, and capillaries; the closer you are to the shockwave the more damage it deals because of the proximity to the origin of force.
Bankai(Not Achieved)
“Swallow the World”
In the final released state, Wanizame Ousama encases Kei in gauntlets and grieves, the trench knives remain in place while the gauntlets have spikes that protrude from the surface and the grieves develop a single long blade that runs above the knee down to the toe, and single spike protrudes from the heel.
In this state, there is no need to replicate clones as Kei can create as many clones as he wishes at this stage, while they remain phantasmal specters the clones now have the ability to drain away small portions of the victim’s reiatsu causing them to fatigue faster. Medically extreme fatigue can cause hallucinations, delusions, dizziness, unconsciousness, and even death as organ systems can fail under extreme fatigue.
The speed factor from the shikai stage is even further amplified at this release, Kei can now move so quickly that he can seemingly strike several different body areas simultaneously. While his own attacks lack the reiatsu draining capabilities of his phantasms, they actually impart physical damage which can be considerable as his increased speed increases the amount of force that can be imparted with the same amount of mass (Mass x Acceleration = Force).
The Reiatsu ‘bomb’ that Kei was able to produce in his shikai state are now more powerful and release a more potent shock wave but he is still restricted to two ‘bombs’ at a time. However, by merging the two bombs he can release either a single very destructive force or unleash a bombardment of ‘bomblets,’ in essence these bomblets are considerably weaker than even the shikai version they can create substantially more damage as they can be laid down in masse, a single individual entrapped amongst the many small bombs would be assaulted with low intensity shockwaves but the sheer volume of the bomblets would wreak havoc upon the internal organs as blood vessels, organs, and tissue receive so many minute injuries that the victim could succumb to unconsciousness or death within seconds. Alternatively, the bomblets would be an effective crowd control method as the shockwaves would be absorbed by multiple individuals rather than a single one, the injuries wouldn’t be as life threatening but damage to the ear drums, and the interstitial fluids of the inner ear would cause disorientation that could takes weeks and months to recover from without medical assistance.

Biography/History:
Kei grew up as a Navy brat; his father was a Navy SEAL and was often deployed to various parts of the world to offer his specialism as an explosives expert. Growing up he idolized his father and considered the man to be the very pinnacle of what a person should be. Patriotic, noble, generous, dependable, and intelligent, when he was home from his deployments he was a doting father, loving husband, and trusted friend. So it was understandable that Kei’s life fell apart when his father was killed in action, the event devastated him and he retreated from the world in his grief.
Kei became a rebellious youth and often argued with his mother, and teachers, he was inconsolable and had become violent towards his classmates on the Okinawa naval base. The headmaster of the school, a retired SEAL himself took it upon himself to counsel the boy and a friendship emerged that radically shifted the prepubescent boy’s life.
The headmaster taught at a martial arts dojo after school and put Kei to work, he taught the youth discipline and respect for his fellows. Kei became a power onto himself, with his new outlet and his change in demeanor he developed a magnetic personality and gained many friends and much respect. Eventually reconciling his father’s death, the rebellious teenager set aside his immature attitude and turned into a much more responsible and compassionate individual. During his high school years the young man was seen as a younger version of his father as he displayed all of his father’s characteristics and traits.
Spending hours every day after school in his headmaster’s dojo, it wasn’t very surprising that by the time he was a senior in high school he possessed a black belt in American Kenpo and had begun to learn other styles as he pursued mixed martial arts. After graduation, Kei enlisted in the Navy and went to the Navy’s community college where he earned a degree in communications and international relations, and developed a fluency in English, Spanish, Japanese, and French. After going through OCS and graduating at the head of his class, the young Japanese-American volunteered for SEAL training and followed in his father’s footsteps.
His life culminated at the age of twenty-five as a two year veteran SEAL operator, he was deployed on a covert operation in the Philippines to rescue a family of Americans who had been kidnapped and ransomed by Filipino rebels who wanted the communist party to take control of the archipelago. The mission was sabotaged by a member of the United States’ State Department who had given mission specifics to the U.S. ambassador, who had relayed it to the Filipino president, who had relayed it to his top general, who was in the pocket of the rebels. Their cover blown, Kei’s life was forfeit as they were ambushed minutes after beaching their vessel. The commanding officer was killed first and as second in command, Kei took charge and radioed for emergency evacuation while he held the beach long enough for a rescue boat to pick up his teammates.
In his own attempt to flee the beach, Kei was hit in the leg; and while the adrenaline in his body kept him moving to the boat he had been bleeding all the while. By the time he was onboard and heading out to sea, he had passed out at the stern of the ship. His femoral artery severed by a bullet, he perished quietly knowing that he had saved the other eight men aboard.
