Is it just me, or does it seem like half the dorks just don't post here anymore? This guild is becoming something like a ghost town. It's pretty scary.

Indeed, Rave. (new n/n for ya.)
I remember when I'd hate to miss thirty minutes on this because I'd be totally lost. Now I can come back thirty hours later and nothing would have changed. About seven people post right now and a lot of the original dorks (or, rather, the dorks that were here when I joined back in September 2004 about) are gone. >_<
This is [Polaroid] by the way. Just in case people didn't know. ninja

I leave with the wind and am blown back in season. We have lost a few. Punkelf is gone, Pogo is rare, Sweetnightmare is AWOL, Cyanblue has ascended to a higher plane......there are others but my memory fails me.
This place was rarely a hotbed, but it has slowed down quit a bit. I know Spacecowboy192's reason for not returning (add him to that first list) is the lack of new threads. I agree that things are a bit sparse. There are threads I authored over a year ago on the first page, unstickied. I'm flattered, they're good threads, but are symptomatic of the guild's underlining difficulties. One is the is lack of traffic. In the open forums new people = new threads. New minds and perspectives bring new topics of interest. Unfortunately, we are but one out of the hundreds of guilds in the database, and most of the people in our guild register have never posted. Another possible cause is the themed nature of our guild. People might feel that only "dorky" subjects can be brought up in the guild. This severely limits the kinds of content that can be put forth here. Lastly, and this has always been true, The number of active members is very small. because of this it's rare to find yourself on at the same time as other dork guildmebers. While this helps to enhance the feeling of being apart of a small but tight group, it makes the forum seem very lonely at times.
There are ways to help; The dork guild is not doomed. Asking for friends to join is a great way of bringing in fresh blood. Heck, actively encouraging cool people you run across on other forums is always a good idea. Starting new threads here would give something to talk about and keep people coming back, and you folks being your awesome selves will always keep me for leaving for too long a time 3nodding
Allright ye dorks, im off to the lands of Azeroth. Goodluck and Godspeed.

Tell Sweets i miss her. heart Same Anyway. Yeah, this guild is dead. THe Queen doesn't even come online. I would occasionally talk to her on AIM and she say's that she is too busy for gaia w/ school. But gaia is kind of pointless, I just do it because of you guys (but I'm still not that active)

I remember all those people that aren't here anymore. Quite the shame. It's good to see some people more again though, Skoo, Keebler, omni, etc. Crim should come back though. I'm even back more now that holidays are over. Probably less with finals coming up but we shall see.
