Previously a town built to accomodate the various researchers working near the Nuclear Power Plant, Limansk has been all but abandoned. The city used to be one of the only access points to the Nuclear Power Plant other than Pripyat, however, this route was blocked off after the failure of the Clear Sky faction to stop Strelok from reaching Reactor 4. An outskirt of Limansk, known only as the Dead City, serves as the base of operations for the elusive mercenary faction. The city is accessible from the Red Forest and Yantar, however, stalkers should rarely expect the mercenaries to accomodate their whims and let them pass.
