User Image The ocean adventurer had found himself wondering for the first time.. But only along the sands of the region.. He was still pondering if it really was a good idea to wonder away from the ocean.. where would he get his thrills? Hmm.. He wondered.. Slowly.. he made his way on top of the grassy hill that met the sand.. Looking out with his golden eyes.. What would happen if he left for good? Where there be another place with such a beautiful view? He was a lion that had befriended a God.. the surfing God. He knew it because the god was ultimately crushed when the god died.. it was heartbreaking for the lion but still.. he stayed near the water. Many things had happened to this lion.. from when he was a cub til now but his memory was broken near adolescence. Never remembering what happened.. and only remembering the kindness of the water's touch against his face..

The water rushing away in your mane? Then slowly... for one last thrill.. he trotted his way back a few feet where he could meet the trees..

He looked back- and turned with a prompt jump before heading straight for the hill... Not even a second notice he jumped so high that he curled in for a canon ball! "AYYYAAAAAAAAA!!!!" With a huge splash!

User ImageIt wasn't often that the small lioness found herself travelling outside of her pride's territory despite the fact that her position called for it. It had been a long, long time since she felt very much at home and at peace - though the troubles and ghosts of the past tried their hardest to haunt her mind and family, there had been a triumph at last. The memory of the family's mother was now serene, her life and accomplishments celebrated, instead of an unspoken sorrow. Life picked up in the Mizuka, and that was what made the petite female stay and participate in the daily society the once-Mistweavers created.

She had noticed Kachero becoming more interested in his job, and felt guilty herself for not taking as many opportunities as he in actually fulfilling her role. So that was why she was here now, away from the mists, the ravines, the fresh water, and everything that persuaded her to put off exploration and seeking. She was going to do this for her pride.

As she journeyed, it didn't take too long for her to stumble across a fine beach bordering an expanse of water she hardly - if ever - had seen before. Deep blue eyes stared and she couldn't help but gasp, mouth opening at the sight, and taking in some salty air in surprise. New sights like these would no doubt be a new factor and benefit to keep in mind while taking on her mission. As she looked around, she stepped into the sandy beach and shifted her toes into the ground; the feeling was warm and curiously invigorating. It didn't seem like anyone was around, so she would have to go elsewhere to find another's presence... But it wouldn't hurt to take a break.

Stepping through the sand once more - her walk turning into a youthful skip, she felt at ease in this unique scene and only wished someone from the Mizuka had been here to enjoy it with her. Even Kachero, in all his inquisitive glory, would have made a fun companion. She noted that she would seek with him next time, should she catch him back from his own travels.

Turning her head then, towards a nearby grassy hill, she blinked when she realized there was another in her company. It looked like a dark outline of a larger figure, covered in a large-streaked mane... She was about to call out to him, but gasped - this time in terror - as he ran towards the ocean and made a leap into the air. If he was trying to hurt himself, she wouldn't have known what to do! Praying that she wouldn't experience bad luck on her first day out in a long while, the petite lioness ran to where the stranger had fallen - it didn't sound like he made a good sound - and stopped at the edge where water eroded into sand.

"Hellooo?" she called out now, tone heavy and loud with worry, "Are you... okay?"

Unknowning to the huge lug of a lion. He hadn't seen the lioness when he threw himself in to the water.. His paws finding the water in ease and he twirled and was just generally having fun inside the water... but air was beckoning him once more. The dark massive lion pushed down to cause himself to toss his head out of the water. Shaking it a bit as he gasped for air. His body waving in the ocean as he took in breath.. but that wasn't all. When he looked up at the shouting.. it was from a lioness..

She had taken his attention away only to get swallowed up by wave.. Getting rushed in a circular way.. his breath had been taken from him as he avoided a rock with pushing himself upward and on top of it only to take in more air in gasps.. When he shook his mane out he looked up at the lovely lady. Hacking up water and shaking his fur out a bit.. he felt refreshed after it all as he looked up at the lioness with a kind look.. A very spiritual creature.

"Hellooo~" He called out to her- a big smile. His body rushed up on the rock and let his back get splashed against as if he too were a rock. "Yes! " He called out to her later question.. But he was over joyed to have jumped in.. This lion was not fearful of water. No .. he was practically BORN in it. Gorgeous ocean.. to complete final good bye.. the last adventure in the ocean. He closed his eyes just a moment.. for he heard a huge wave coming up.. and once he was taken.. he disappeared in to the water once again.. Getting swallowed in to the waves once more.. He didn't even fight it.. letting the waters play with his body at will and felt the water slipping through his fur.. It was an amazing feeling that he wished he could share. He tried sharing it but lions and other felines didn't feel the same with large bodies of water.. When the ocean was about done with him. He rolled on out to the shore and let his four paws bounce his large body out of the water. Tossing his mane every which way and shook his body out.

His tail lagging behind as he let out a sigh of happiness and relief.. But little.. he followed where his eyes led to where the female was. His ears pricked up and a large smile searched his muzzle as he slowly started a stride to the female.

The small lioness was worried when she thought it was taking too long for the stranger to emerge from the water, but her worried prayers were answered when the black and white form suddenly broke through the surface head first. She smiled openly at first despite her prior concerns, running just a bit further into the very shallow waters. It was a foreign feel - the water was definitely quite different than the ones at home; perhaps colder and less crisp, but still welcoming despite its massive expanse.

But her smile quickly left her mouth as soon as it formed, for the image of the stranger being engulfed in the waves once more, sweeping towards a rock, made her gape again in fright. Luckily, the male managed to somehow grasp onto the rock and use it to his advantage. As she prepared another response to his words, it seemed as if the water wanted to reclaim what it had lost, and the female found herself with the same imminent concern once more. She couldn't just stand there, but her body was frozen with a plethora of emotions at the same time.

It seemed to have already been a roller coaster of emotions dealing with the stranger, watching him finally come out through the wide area of water through the shallow end towards her. She blinked, not knowing whether to smile or not - or whether the water would again be his antagonist. She decided it was all done and over with, and waited graciously for the stranger to get out of the water, not wishing to go into it herself... especially after what just transpired.

"Are you crazy?!" she couldn't help but scold, her heart still jumpy at the previous scene, "Do you have a death wish?!"

Smile beginning to warm its way onto her face again, she calmed herself quickly to speak again, "...Who exactly are you? To be so brave and bold like that. I can't imagine..."

As he came up to her.. his body weighed from the water but slowly he made himself go over to her. The sand between his digits.. But as soon as he came up to her- he stopped and jerked his head back ever so slighty at her scolding. His ears up and one eye wide. The other with a scar that slightly opened more than usual. The large lion. Well extra large~ to fit in to his body of fur. Tilting his head.. He waited til the scolding died down.. as a small chuckle came out of his lips.. He couldn't help it.

She didn't understand that, THAT was what he wanted? The ocean? Which made him laugh inwardly.

"Were you worried." A soft smile complimented his face.. he looked good in it. Chuckling now happily as he was drenched just slightly now after his earlier shake. But he didn't shake in front of her. "Tsukouru. A surfer of these oceans...and you? beautiful lionness is whom~?" His ears up with a naturally good air to him. His tail giving a few flicks as he lowered himself a tad to not seem to over tower her.. even if he lowered his body a little. He was still.. tall. But he tried.

As the stranger approached, the lioness began to understand why - well, not entirely why, but at least the beginnings of the reasoning behind the dangerous act itself; he was quite big - offering a great contrast between herself, and seemed formidable, even durable by his size and worn body. But still, he looked as if he was at the prime, or near it, of his life. At least he seemed polite in waiting for her to speak, kindly offering a chuckle; she likewise was brightened despite the previous situation, and gave her own short chuckle, turning bashfully at his compliment; while it wasn't the first time she heard anyone remark positively on her physique, it still felt embarrassing to embrace, though she liked it.

"Tsukouru?" she repeated first, dipping her head, "I am Sarabi. And... What is that you said? A surfer... of oceans? I've never heard of such things. I'm not from around here, and so you see, I can't be having lions around me getting hurt - or worse - as I wander out... I wouldn't want to think I'm an unlucky omen!"

She smiled in silence at his next polite act - an attempt to match his grander size to hers. She felt a tinge of serendipity then, to run into such a nice and kind stranger; her luck was further increased seeing as she had something to learn from the encounter. The scenery and landscape... offered so much; she had so much to learn, and perhaps Tsukouru could enlighten her.

"You don't live here, do you?" she then asked, perhaps out of turn, but she didn't notice; Sarabi was quite excited about multiple things already, and her eagerness wasn't about to hide itself.

Though the big hunk of muscle and fur.. well. Was big.. He did this gesture.. for. Her.. She was small and delicate looking. "A name fitting for you then." Offering the kindness in his voice. Having not met a female yet.. except for a cheetah that was.. wary and scared off before he had a chance to say that he was friendly. Only eating fish..

"Oh~ I can tell your not from around here. Bright colors like that I have not seen since the pride down along the mountains. They live dedicated to the ocean..but." A smile. "Your the opposite of a unlucky omen. Luck.. for I am still alive again too meet one as you from another land. I risk every time I give myself to the ocean. I am here. Your a lucky one." Wagging his tail slowly as he made his way in front of her. "Come this way.. I'll tell you about this.. place." He turned.. do you live here. Sadly .. he was going to leave this place soon.. "Yes. I live here.. " He chuckled. "Does it seem odd?"

If she would follow.. he would take her up to the hill.. Where the cliff was. He would tell her along the way. "This body of water is called the ocean." Shaking off his butt from the water's drippings. "Ones whom 'ride' with the ocean are called surfers. There are very little of us.." His stride.. was probably that of twice as her so slowly he made his way with simple steps. Like a walk but slower.. to keep in sync with her. "And you? Kind omen. If you do not live ... by the ocean. What has brought you here." Still.. His body bent in some fashion to keep at least in some height well enough to not be overpowering to her.

He didn't like that fact, but he could not change his height. Neither change that he was a lion of the ocean.. He remembered.. when he met the god of surf. His fur.. could match her designs.. he was almost as big as he.. but seemed much younger. Happier. He lived.. happy to match that of the god... to keep his lively happiness and surf alive. His voice was kindred.. almost even more than before.. though most of the time when in the water he had to speak louder~ to get his buddy's attention. That buddy.. no longer existed.

With a semi big mane.. he turned to her. Thankfully on his good side.. to see her. She .. was a thing to look at .. and from his approach to her. She seemed nice... well. Worry wart~ but still nice. and not try and attack him. For this bundle of fur would probably lie down a play dead for a girl.. He nodded and genuinely looked to her and held an ear open to whatever she said. He ...was a listener. And a wise man of sorts when he needed to be.

Sarabi was unable to hide her blush at Tsukouru's kind words and compliments; many in her pride were nice, but not as heartfelt as the black and white large figure before her. His earnest words warmed her heart, and her smile seemed unable to do anything but maintain itself on her face, only stretching wider with each sentence coming from Tsukouru.

She giggled to his chuckle, and followed along with his movements as her excitement rose. He was going to teach her about the waving waters! The landscape was so magical, Sarabi could not help but feel as if Tsukouru had been whispered into existence by the gods to show her these new wonders. Indeed she was lucky.

"We live around waterfalls... Lots of trees, green leaves, everything. And the mists! The mists are how you know you are in our lands..." she commented, hoping she could give the lion an idea of how odd an ocean would be in contrast to her jungle of a home.

She was very gracious that Tsukouru was lowering himself, even slowing himself down to let her pad quickly along him. She was so humbled that she began walking faster herself so that he would not be so troubled.

"Your world is amazing..." she breathed out, turning her head here and there to catch every single wave that passed by, along with looking at the various artifacts strewn across the sandy scape, "Although I come from a different land, I do have a purpose for being here..."

She stopped for a moment, hoping the pause would not bother her companion. She wondered whether what she was about to say would be significant or not; her duty was important to her, but was she supposed to be conveying this to Tsukouru? Yes - that was the plan, and her purpose, but who was she to tell Tsukouru of her lands when he already lived in such an amazing one?

"I am here because my job in my pride is to spread information. To seek others. I am here to tell you about my lands. It is alive, and growing, and we seek new, good souls to join us. We are lions of the mist - we used to be called the Mistweavers, but we have founded a new generation from our old lands and call it the Mizuka'nyevu."

Sarabi was very glad that his eyes had been on her the entire time, ears perked up in alertness. She was moved by his openness in listening to her.

He wasn't a psychic, but he could feel the energy she was giving off and her general mannerism. He was glad that he was making her happy, instead of worrying like she initially had. Pacing with her until the hilltops and where he came to a lay, now smaller in comparison to her size. Opening himself to her, in spirit was necessary to him, and showing she had his full attention. Nodding to her coming her for her job, he had no problem in hoping to help her out. The fish were yonder, that he knew, but his place was here in the land as much as he wanted to be apart of the sea. As she spoke of this place, he could probably feel the longing for an open ocean already, the waves.. the water. The fish? Looking at his back, was a long draping net along it, he scoped for any fish and to his surprise.. When he turned away from her for a second. He smiled, then devoted his attention back to her.

" Mizuka'nyevu.. you say?" He thought for a moment then looked at the ocean. "Though this place is beautiful and parting with it seems impossible. I know my purpose too- lies somewhere else.. " His voice got lower, and slightly sad about it but he could only hope that his new journey would lead him to a place beyond that- and make him feel complete. "I have not heard of the mistweavers before, but how you describe your home seems amazing beyond that of the heavens." Bowing his head. "As you good omen have came from it. Thus seems like a calling for my new journey to begin..." Given that he knew it from the beginning from when the God of Surf died, that he needed to move on. He felt it in his very bones.

"Tell me more about this place.. so I may put it in my memory to come visit.. maybe even stay if the Gods allow it to be so." Putting his paws over one another. "So you are not to stay too long in one area.. not enough for something to eat? Or some rest? You must be tired from your journey here. As I only ventures a bit and found no waterfalls in this area. Please, let me treat you with something we eat here?" He offered, and softly used his paw in conjunction to the verbal offer. His black and white mane weaving in the winds to dance along his neck. It was the feeling of comfort and divine serenity. Yet it seemed somehow not enough, and not of his purpose. This adventure he would embark in.. he felt a weight in his chest from the idea of leaving.. But smiled instead to her, pretending nothing was on his mind.

She noted the sadness in his voice when he replied, nodding her head in understanding. Fair enough. She could not take such an adventurous soul to her lands, especially if he had his own calling. It was rather inspirational that he was following his destiny, even if he did not know what it was.

"And the heavens do look upon our lands," she whispered, remembering the rain dances they performed to the gods above, who must have watched to give their lands sustenance.

Taking in Tsukouru's words, she smiled and nodded once more; it didn't even take a second's hesitation to consider his offer.

"I would very much like to stay with you this day, Tsukouru," she said softly, even taking a small bow of gratefulness, "Show me your life, and I shall tell you the tale of the Mizuka'nyevu as we rest."

She thus followed Tsukouru, for her trust was in him, and she knew she would be dazzled by his style as much as her job intended for others to feel of Mizuka'nyevu.

As he showed her up to the hill. He spoke as a true historian yet a story teller all at once. He began with waking up to the God of Surf.. Beginning to learn the ways of the ocean. Their land was of the carefree life, yet to home and become one with nature. This living helped Tsukouru become the lion he was today. With all the calm and serenity there was here, made him able to ponder the world around them. Yes, sometimes he traveled just partially away but 'home
' he always knew himself to be. Including himself in the adventures his God friend had to offer him...

He even, finally spoke about the death of his beloved friend. When the waves were stirred up for weeks and everything seemed unbalanced. Then finally when they calmed.. was it time to finally give rest to the spirit and continue. Thus, the reason he explained he had finally saw the opportunity to leave.. and find his true path. Where would he begin? When will he find peace to his salvation and purpose. He had no clue, but he had to start the journey and he knew during it the Gods would grant him their guidance to fulfill this purpose.

Unlike many he came in contact with, she had an ear to learn.. and so did he as he was taught about the ways of the ghosts.. It intrigued him and definitely a place that he would try to visit on his journey. Even to just say hi, to an unlikely friend.. Sharing their stories of their lands.. and what they hoped for the journey to come.. for the both of them. Loving her company, and she was a joy to know. He loved to help where he could, and spoke while also letting her speak. Ones that boast about their knowledge would not truly know knowledge as one always learns something new with every encounter. One must listen with their heart, ears, touch and sight to truly understand. He'd never.. forget her. Was she the omen to begin his journey. He would take it as one.. as she too had to wonder the roguelands...

The ghost of the mist..
