The Oasis

This is a large haven in the middle of the Desert, unknown by humans. Though some rogue packs choose to live in other territories, the Oasis is the home of the vast majority of Shakaiyo. Here they have plenty of water to drink and swim in (as well as a beach). They have trees to sleep under, edible plants to harvest, and small creatures to hunt. This is also where the Elder Council meets, and where most Shakaiyan festivals take place. Though most Shakaiyo are nomadic and choose not to settle down, the largest number of Shakaiyo dens can be found at the Oasis.
Eranshar Desert

This big, forbidding desert is the primary home of the Shakaiyo. Shakaiyo are very resistant to heat, so most of the time the desert atmosphere doesn't bother them. They can also travel long distances without water, though no Shakaiyo can cross the desert without bringing an extra waterskin or two. The Eranshar is also a place that holds many secrets. Who knows what's been buried under all that sand?
Nazir River

The Nazir is a mighty river that flows from the Sanid Mountains to the Tamerian Sea. In some places - especially towards the north - it is deep, fast and impassable, but in others the desert heat dries the river to a trickle that can be easily crossed by hopping from stone to stone. The river is teeming with fish, and many Shakaiyo stop there for an easy dinner.
Tamerian Sea

No Shakaiyo has ever crossed the Tamerian Sea and returned to tell the tale. The huge body of water extends all the way to the horizon with no end in sight. The Shakaiyo that live on the beaches of the Tamerian lead a life that is a bit more tribal and relaxed than their brethren from the Oasis. Some Tamerian Shakaiyo are even known to go surfing on polished boards.
Ardanshir Forest

The Ardanshir is a huge mass of tropical forest that surrounds the desert. Some Shakaiyo prefer the coolness and protection of the trees to the heat and sands of the desert, and so have chosen to live on the outskirts of the woods. The forest itself becomes a mass of thick, tangled branches a few miles in, and no Shakaiyo has ever managed to travel all the way through it. The Ardanshir is home to many species of small animal, which makes it an excellent place for hunting.
Sanid Mountains

This huge mountain range is riddled with caves and mystery. A powdering of snow can sometimes be glimpsed at the very top of the peaks. The tallest mountains in the Sanid are incredibly huge. No Shakaiyo has ever ventured over them to see what lies beyond. Even so, some Shakaiyo make the rocky caves of this place their home because of the secure shelter they provide.
