Welcome
In an alternate universe than ours, sword mastery is still the dominant form of combat. Guns are few and far between, and their users even more so. Technology is pretty much up to date, all except for weaponry that is, and the world is much as our own. The people have no problems as of now and live just as you and me would, but with the use of swords, laws aren't exactly top notch, making plenty of jobs for higher-ed swords. This lets anyone who chooses to walk around with any blade they choose. This causes many problems for the citizens in lesser towns with not alot of law enforcement. This also makes plenty of action for all you blood thirsty swords men out there.

What's going on, you ask?
You are a rurouni. Nothing more than a traveling samurai. You travel around from town to town doing what ever it is you do and try to cope with you surroundings and changes in the government. Along the way you may make friends, enemies, maybe you'll settle down with someone you are attracted to.
Each town has there own certain laws and rules. It is up to you if you choose to uphold these laws. But what ever you choose it has a consequence. Helping certain people, doing as you please. Karma is a real thing, and it will affect your life depending on your decisions, but karma dose not work here like it dose in your world. You'll soon learn.

Sin City: A corrupt city with very little rules and even less enforcement. It is the soul of all that is bad on this continent. It lives of of brothels, gambling, alcohol and drugs. It is right along the coast making trade between other continents easy.
Monk's Domain: This is a place of purity. It is the exact opposite of Sin and is strict about keeping it that way. All weapons are confiscated at the gate and a travel permit is needed to get in. It has a high enforcement rating.
Capital 8: A town full of history. Every major building has a history of every event, transaction, and trade that has occurred in the continent. The town is literally a giant library. The town is organized by which buildings hold history about what. There is very little enforcement here.
Capital 9: A fortress holding all of the money of the continent. Every inch is patrolled at all times making infiltration almost impossible. If you do make it in, have fun making it out.
Main Capital: Home of the highest government officials. This is where every important decision of the continent is made. It is also know for having the highest enforcement rank. A travel permit is needed to get in and all weapons are confiscated
Inu Town: This town supplies the majority the crops for the land. There is no law enforcement here since they have known no harm. A perfect target for killers.
Gotto City: Your average city of business. Allot of hustle alot of bustle. This place is also called "The Land of the Average Joe" due to only average Joes living there. There is nothing very spectacular about this city other than it's wealth. It has an average enforcement rating.
Aish Village: A peasant village. No enforcement. Nothing else is known, hell, no one gives a damn about it.
!X Obuwe Path: Tengu are said to live in this mountain area. This is an incredibly dangerous path. It's very narrow, traveling between rock faces and along cliffs. The weather is unpredictable. Blazing heat, snow, rain, wind, and mist have all been accounted for. Each happening on the same day.
!X Obuwe City: This is the city of the strongest. Really it's only a town, but it's called a city to attract people. Many say it's the Tengu that own the place and they try to attract people to capture them. It's only the truly great who make it. These are just rumors though.

Our story so far...
West took a rest just outside Gotto City. A young woman by the name of Lumiere came and offered her assistance to West. West repaid her by stealing her bag, which he soon found out was full of cloths instead of food. Lumiere decided to let West come back to her and sat in a tree. A bit later a strange girl by the name of Heaven came near the tree of Lumiere and began to watch her quietly. In the mean time West became lost while looking for a pawn shop to sell Lumiere's cloths and blades. A new pair of twins appeared and seemed to be a bit lost. While searching for a pawn shop, west stole some food and traded one of Lumiere's blades for some new fashion, while the twins where robbed. The twins chased after the robber and Lumiere after West.
West made a deal with Lumiere. Half her money, a good fight, and a "good night". Lumiere handed over the money and the fighting began. The twins began, making little work of the petty theft, West and Lumiere not so lucky with each other, but the spectators seemed to enjoy, one Heaven from before, the other a new girl named Ciara. The twins had one bad injury, and none came to their aid.
Night began to fall and part three of the deal began. It started in a bar, where west became over drunk. Heaven went off to eat and find an inn during this time. Once West passed out, he was carried by Lumiere to the same inn as Heaven, where West soon woke up and began to tease Lumiere with her bag. Ciara had other plans though, she killed a man to take refuge for the night in his home.

West ☼ A tall man with a large Afro traveled the path to Gotto City. He walked sloppy and looked of exhaustion. His stomach, which was covered by his hand, growled with the force of 25 African lion... cubs. He wore a dark grey sweat shirt and long blue baggy pants. On his back was a small backpack with a strap that went across his chest. In between his back and his backpack were two long katana, one in a dark green sheath the other in a black. Underneath the back pack was a small katana, much like the ones ninja used, and when it was sheathed it just looked like a stick, this sword was also in a black sheath.☼ The man sat down against a near by tree along the road and stared up between the leaves. "Damn. Who's great idea was it to travel this far with no money... Oh yeah, it was mine," the man said aloud to himself. "It's not my fault I'm broke. I'm a rurouni right?" This wasn't true and he knew damn well it wasn't. He had come across many wealthy rurouni.

 LumiereLumiere was walking down the path to Gotto City. The woman was waring a plain kimono that was a light lavender shade. She was a little sleepy and could use a quick nap but she could tell someone was near so she didn't stop then, walking up to a tree she notice a young man. Maybe a few years older then her, she notice the man looked tried and could use some food and water. The she notice his sword...' I still need to at lest try to help the man.' she thought.
Lumiere collected herself and walked over to the man she hid her sword so they wouldn't start a fight. " Hello....um do you need some help?" she asked. Lumiere seemed cold on the outside but she was really kind on the inside. ' I hope he will at least let me help him.' she thought.

West ☼ West looked down with a blank stare. He gave a look over of the woman in front of him starting with her face down to her feet and back up again. "Who the hell are you?" he said quietly with his head tilted slightly to the side. His face then turned slightly grimace and rude. "Didn't your mom ever teach you not to talk to strangers?"

LumiereLumiere sighed ad looked at him " My name is not important." she said then tried to keep a clam face. " To answer your question no, I never had a mother." she said. Lumiere looked at the sky "Besides... the way I was trained is to help anyone in need." she muttered softly.
