Jude frowned, fiddling with the tripod as he attempted to set everything up. He watched Nihm carefully, his young child resting on a blanket right in front so he could clearly see the boy. "Look up here Nihm!" the man called to his boy, snapping to catch his attention as he placed the camera on the tripod he had finally put together. Looking through he adjusted the lens for a goof view of his son.
"Perfect." he said, pulling back and looking at all of the other children around. Children were always the most photogenic, especially his young boy.
"Your ready to take pictures with daddy?" he asked, watching as Nihm crawled around on the blanket. He looked adorable, and Jude was glad he was acting so natural.
Nihm just giggled, waving to random passerby's.

A pair of people headed to the park around that time, ended up passing near Jude and his photography session. It was another father-child pair, though the child in this case was female and a tad older.
Vance was a tall, lean fellow with whispy blonde hair, cool but gentle eyes, and pale skin. His daughter was anything but - short, round faced, deeply tanned with a ton of freckles, and with mousy brown hair pulled into pigtails. To top it off, she had bird feet, and a funny feathered tail that flicked as she walked. It was quite a pair but kind of cute too, especially as she had a soccerball under her arm and looked rather unbalanced next to her graceful father (not that he didn't try to help her carry it).
Maggie spotted Nihm on the blanket and wandered over to kneel down and greet him. "Hi there!" she cooed, waving at the little boy. He was much smaller than her, so that was kinda neat!
Vance shook his head quietly, going over to apologize to Jude. "Sorry, Margret's a bit...impulsive."

Nihm smiled and giggled, he loved interacting with people. Especially those who were a bit younger. Sure, he loved his daddy and the grown ups who paid attention to him, but nothing could top the attention of another kid. He looked up at her with his large gray eyes and waved as he had to the other people walking by.
Jude looked over at the other man, "Oh, it's not an issue really. Still setting up the last of the equipment. It will do him good to smile for a picture." he looked over at his giggling boy, which brought a smile to his own lips, "Apparently your girl is good at making him smile. Wish I had someone like her around more often." he laughed, remembering the time Nihm wouldn't smile for anything at photoshoots.
Nihm spotted the soccer ball the young girl had, his fingers wiggling in want of the object.
"Be polite Nihm." the father warned, wiping off the lens with a scarf worn loosely around his neck, "I'm Jude by the way, and my son is Nihm."

Maggie grinned, holding out the ball when Nihm wiggled for it. "You like my ball?" she asked with a smile, "It's for soccer."
The toddler put the object down, rolling it over to the infant and sitting as best as her feet would allow. "Roll it back to me?"
Vance smiled a bit too, nodding. "I'm Vance, and that's Maggie." he said, pointing to his daughter, "She's pretty friendly, yeah."

Nihm smiled widely, an expression of pure joy and amazement passing over his face as the ball was rolled to him. He observed the motions the girl had made, attempting to mimic them. The ball didn't roll far, but it made it a few inches and the boy clapped to celebrate.
"Nice to meet you." he frowned, still cleaning the lens before finally satisfied and smiling again, "She is quite friendly, but there's nothing wrong with that. And Nihm seems to adore it." his boy was such an attention lover, not that he minded much. And he certainly fed the love with all of the photos he took of the young boy.
"Would either of you mind if I took a new snapshots of them playing together? Photography is always best when the picture is a fluid, natural pose."

Maggie clapped as well, "Good job!" she said, having learned from her Dad that it was best to be friendly with the little ones and let them know they were appreciated and doing good. She leaned forward to take the ball back to where she was and roll it back to him. "Now try again, Nihm."
Vance blinked but nodded, "Yes, certainly. I'm sure Maggie doesn't mind and I don't. I'd like a few copies of the pictures though. I don't have very many of her."

"I wouldn't have it any other way." he said, adjusting himself as he watched the two play.
Nihm smiled as the ball came rolling back at him. He stretched his arms as far as they could go and grabbed the ball, pulling it towards him and hugging it. After a moment of this he looked back up with wide, happy eyes and rolled the ball with all of his might back at the other, trying his hardest.
Jude began to shoot, taking into account all aspects, making sure the light was perfect, the angle, using the rule of thirds, everything he could manage to do to improve the shots. After a moment on the tripod he took the camera off, moving to get the pictures. He seemed to enjoy what he was doing, crawling around for the perfect photo.
"It looks ridiculous, but it works." he explained with a laugh.

Vance shrugged and smiled, "Whatever works. Given what I do for a living, it could be worse." he joked.
Maggie clapped again, catching the ball when it rolled to her. "Good good!" she decreed, and rolled it back once more, her little tail flicking as she used her hands to make it move along the ground slowly so he could get it.

Nihm clapped again, bouncing slightly as he did so. He was so excited, the young boy felt so accomplished every time he managed to roll the ball and was praised for it, causing him to once again roll it back. It went even further this time! Causing the boy to giggle and coo with excitement.
"Oh? And what do you do?" the man inquired, honestly curious. He continued to take pictures as he spoke, obviously skilled in the art of multitasking (which was always a good skill to have when you had a child).

"Wow, that was better!" Maggie praised, rolling it back again. "you can do it, Nihm!"
"I'm a figure skater." Vance replied, watching Jude dart around to photograph things.

Nihm giggled once more, this time returning the ball by tossing it to her. Granted, it didn't go very far what so ever, but he hadn't just rolled it. The clapping ensued once more, the boy obviously proud of himself once again.
With one last click Jude stood upright, "Oh really? That must be a very fun job." the man said, not joking at all. He smiled, seemingly satisfied with the shots he had taken, "I think those came out nicely. Your daughter was a great help, they both looked so natural, and they get along so well." he said with a gentle grin across his face.

Maggie was surprised by the throw but caught the little toss and laughed. "You're smart!" she said, throwing it back - careful not to hit him. The ball was harder than some so throwing to a baby might hurt him if he didn't get it right, so she let it fall before it'd really get far.
"It can be. It's also very hard." Vance agreed, smiling fondly as he watched Margret. "Yes, Nutmeg's very good with other kids."

Nihm snickered, pulling the ball towards him and turning, attempting to run away with it! He wasn't very successful, attempting to crawl while holding the rather large ball. He ended up simply rolling onto his side and laughing, obviously his escape plan hadn't worked as well as he had wanted it to.
"I can imagine. I lack the balance for anything like that." the man said with a chuckle as he wiped the lens down, beginning to move the equipment around. He smiled at his son, watching how much he seemed to be enjoying himself with the game.
"I can see that. I need to get Nihm out more, he seems to be quiet the social boy."

Maggie laughed, "Heeeeey, that's mine." she teased, crawling forward on her feathered knees to try and take it back, but only jokingly, from the giggling baby.
"He does look it." Vance agreed.

A feather had to have brushed against the young boy, as he began to roll around giggling. He seemed to be in a state where he couldn't stop giggling, rolling back and forth while trying to catch his breath. The ball was long forgotten by now as the boy senselessly giggled.
"Oh my, she must really amuse him." Jude grinned. Nothing made the man smile like the laughter of his son and seeing him happy.
