I know the right shoulder needs fixing...and I'm still tweaking the hair. But how is the rest of the anatomy?

I see a TON of improvement, Thal. Great job!
The only thing I feel that needs to be pointed out is that the shoulder facing us looks a bit big. I don't know if it should be more relaxed or more defined. I'm also assuming her other arm is hidden because of the view she's in.

Also, her breasts look a bit too small... or at least not placed properly. I know they connect to the muscle that leads into the underarm.

I think the arm and the wrist look fine. (I wish I could draw a hand connecting properly, fffff--)

That's all I can think of. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. <3

Yeah, I know that shoulder needs help. I hope I can figure it out, I think it is lacking definition. The other arm is hidden due to her position, yes.

Thanks for the comment on the breast area...I wasn't sure what was wrong, but that should help.

I hope you don't mind, but I drew up a redline
I think the shoulder looked a bit off because you made the muscle leading to the arm curve outward and a little too big.
The arm kind of leads into the collar bone, which helps define it more.
The armpit was a bit too low, at that angle the armpit should be higher, but you should also be able to see the back part of the body behind it (I hope that makes sense).
Sacch was correct about the breast connecting to the underarm, as seen in the redline.
I also think you made the hips a little too low, and not pronounced enough. And since she's standing up straight, her stomach kind of concaves. And I also believe the crotch is a bit low (though that shouldn't matter if she's wearing a skirt > A<).
That's my opinion anyway.
She's very cute, keep up the good work

OMG...the red lines are great, they helped a lot! I make my shoulders way too broad. I rounded out her breasts too and they look much better.

I disagree somewhat with the pelvic bone placement only because every reference I've seen has had the pelvic bone placed at what I call the 4th head (the head is the 1st head and I count down) and it is usually 1/3 to 1/2 of the way down (depending on the reference) and my scale is usually 1:7...of course nothing says the references are correct all the time. I also use the head to determine the distance between the nipples to the navel and from the navel to the pelvic bone. Er, I suppose that could be incorrect, though. I'll have to dig out the reference books again, lol. She's in a skirt, so either way it won't matter for this piece, but I'll still tweak it a little. It should be a little higher, maybe, but not at the bottom of the 3rd head...that'd be too high...more like halfway between where I put it and where you did. Yeah, I think that's better.

EDIT: Whoops...for got the scale of the image on Gaia compared to the image on paper. Your placement was almost spot on. I raised it slightly and it looks better.

EDIT 2: I updated the image in the link in the first post...but for those who don't want to link out of Gaia...

I think the ear shape is sorta lacking, and I think it looks like it's too far away from the face for this angle. From my own observations and such, the ear starts above the jawline. Here's how I do things:
User Image

The face successfully looks like your average anime face (not meaning that as an insult at all). I'd shift the hair to the left so it's less poofy in the back and more poofy in the front. Realistically, neither side would be that poofy, but more "typical" anime styles tend to make the front more poofy, I think. Poofy... Sorry, I dunno how else to describe it, lol. Anyhow, having it big in the back like that kinda makes the head shape look weird, I think.

The breasts look too high to me. I personally have the bottom of the breasts around the center of the upper arm, and that seems to work well for me. A top like that looks like it could push them up or whatever, though. Not that I mean to discredit your sources/methods, plus a lot of this stuff comes down to your own personal style. Here's a picture from Posemaniacs (looks like they put the breasts a little lower than I would, though these shoulders are raised a bit, I think):
User Image

The fingers on the hand look too short to me. I read someone's tip in this guild that the middle finger is the same length (and width!) of your palm. Things fingers are bent a bit, but I still think they're too short. Also, the ring finger looks too similar in size to the pinky.

Liking the flowing hair below her eyes/above her breasts.

Yeah, her hair is a bit too poofy in the back, I'm going to thin that down a bit. I'll be fixing the fingers too, as they are a little short.

I think her breasts are OK, she is in a bodice after all. They work a little like bras but with firmer support.

I redid the ear...it was also too small, I think. The back of her neck is a little hidden by her hair. I still need to fix a little bit of her hair under that ear...otherwise her shorter hair won't make as much sense. (OK, I'll be redoing that bit of hair for a while, sigh)

Oh man...those fingers are a pain, lol. And I made her back a little less broad That was bugging me.

I'll scan in the fixes in a little while.

User Image

I made the fixes, but I don't know how good/not good they look. The back of the hair still is a bit poofy...yeesh! And the middle two fingers might still be shortish?

Looking better, but something about that hand still feels off. It occurs to me that the hand position might be awkward. The top of that hand sorta seems like the hand would be tilted with the index finger closer to the body and the pinky side facing tilting in the opposite direction... but then if you look at the pinky first, it's like... vice versa. I'm thinking that it might be awkward for the thumb to not show there, too. I sorta tried making that pose with my hand, but it was hard.

Maybe it'd be a bit of a hassle for you, but could you perhaps draw the hand on a different page or on the computer or something to explain how it's supposed to look? Or I dunno if there might be a similar hand here (3D, rotatable): http://www.posemaniacs.com/tools/handviewer/

I think the ear shape is looking a lot better, though I personally think it's still too far to the right. With the way the chin/jaw is drawn, it looks to me like her jaw would end underneath that spike of hair that's just to the left of her ear. I'm no expert with head shapes and such, though, so do whatever you're comfortable with.

I kind of agree, the hand looks awkward. Her finger tips are supposed to be lightly resting on her hip, the thumb is a bit behind the hand. There was no pose for the hand as I wanted on Posemaniacs, sadly. In my mirror, I couldn't see my thumb, so... Meh, I suck at hands. I kind of do this a lot with my own hands when I just don't know what else to do with them, lol.

As for the ear, you might be right, but every time I try to move it closer it just looks off (novice artist that I am). It could be that her eye is throwing me off as I am following the "rule" of an eye width between the eye and ear/space between eyes. I grew up following that one quite a lot. Not sure though, it may actually be the problem here. Still, I'm going to keep it as is since it looks better with the new hair changes I made. Which I need to scan in soon.

Not sure what to do about that hand, though. I hate hands...so much. Ooooh...wait. It isn't the fingers, it is the position of the base of her hand (and, thus, her forearm). The base of the hand should be angled up a little more. I'll fix that.

User Image

Not sure that makes the hand look all that much better...
