Name: Ux
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Craft: Woodcraft
Rank: Forestry/Candidate

History:
Her mother married her father out of love and duty. She is a weaver and he’s a forester. Ux, currently their only offspring, has taken to forestry like a fish to water. At a young age of 5 turns she tried to follow her father out to work. The only thing stopping her was the axe being too heavy to drag. Her mother saw this and told her husband at dinner that night. He’d smiled and promised she could come out and help soon.

Several sevendays later, her father presents her with a small axe just right for her size. At the site their currently working he shows her how to properly use the axe and gives her safety rules. Ux nods solemnly. He had a small log brought over and asked her to remove all the little twigs off it. Her hands had blisters on them by the end of the day, but the log was twig free.

Now she’s up to much bigger logs and her hands firmly callused. Ux doesn’t mind working with the boys and is determined to show them that she can do as much as they. Early on they found she as a knack for felling a tree exactly where they want it to go. Often she can accurately guess where the tree will fall and if it’ll fall where they want. Several times this has saved her fellow workers a broken leg or worse.

She missed the last hatching as she was out working in a remote section of the forest and couldn’t make it back in time.

Appearance:
Ux is a muscular woman, almost strangely so, but that comes from swinging an axe all day. In today’s world she might be considered a body builder. She stands an easy 5’6” with a confident aura. Her place is well worn and familiar. A deep tan has accumulated on any skin exposed to the sun. She had special coveralls designed for her to help confine her breasts while working. That is probably the only thing she finds annoying about herself.

Her darkish brown hair is cropped to just above shoulder length. Streaks of her hair have been bleached out to a light tan by the sun. Pale green eyes from almond eyes peer out of her sweet heart shaped face. Don’t be fooled by her face though, she can be a real firecracker when she gets lit.

Personality:
Ux is a dedicated and hard worker. She enjoys feeling her muscles play under her skin when she swings her axe. Her favorite place is in the forest, when she moves out of her parent’s home she wants a small cottage secluded in a little glade.

At first she wasn’t sure about the transfers coming to Ghenza to impress their dragons. Reluctantly she decided that as long as they worked hard and didn’t slack off they were ok. However, she hasn’t been around enough to get to know any of the transfers and is still wary of them.

Unfortunately for those that know her, Ux is over-critical of everyone and herself. Every job must be done to perfection; it doesn’t matter how you feel at the time. If you’re not performing up to her standards, well you can expect a royal scolding. When she gets sick she often frets over everything. Is it getting done? Is it getting done well? She needs to be forced to rest.

Outwardly she doesn’t tolerate excuses or slacking off. Definitely a workaholic personality sometimes she dreams of what it would be like to have a day off. But then she’ll tell herself, “No rest for the wicked.” If any boy gets the notion to court her he’d better have the balls. Ux’s dream guy is preferentially going to be a forester like herself, but she might settle for something else. He must be strong and a hard worker, period. Nothing less will do for her. If he can honestly tell himself he’s not one of these then he has no chance.

She’d like to stand once or twice at a Hatching. Any dragon she gets, she feel, must like foresting. As for a wher if she doesn’t impress a dragon then she may consider a wher egg. It could be useful and a hindrance. Although she would only be able to work at night it would make moving logs that much easier.

Other:
Ux is definitely female, but she has a sort of male “taste” to her. I’m not sure how to put that in and make it understandable. Maybe it’s already there too.
