It felt almost out of character to visit Ume in the afternoon. He had been lounging in the tree, their tree, for nearly two hours now. He yawned and pawed at the branch. He was bored and it was beginning to show. He even tried counting the humans to pass the time. Two of them had graying hair, four carried purses, six of them had tennis shoes and three of them smoked. Only one of them was even remotely attractive. It seemed these humans were getting more out of shape as the days went on. He blamed the fast food industry though he wouldn't mind some chicken nuggets right about now. He had been avoiding digging in the garbage to appease his feline appetite. He didn't want to smell like trash for Ume. The outcome left him damn near starving.
It wouldn't be much longer, now. School had to have let out a few minutes ago. He pushed himself up on all four legs and stretched before jumping down to the ground gracefully. Slowly he walked to the edge of her yard and peeked out up and down the sidewalk. She would be home soon. He hadn't made up his mind on if he would transform today or not. The risks were greater under the light of the sun.. but he couldn't hold her in this form. He couldn't caress her face or feel the softness to her hair.
At least he would be able to talk to her and it was a beautiful spring day. The breeze was just cool enough to bring your attention away from the warmth of the sun. He loved spring. The world was so alive with colors and the music of nature itself. With all the animals around, people seemed to notice him less, just the way he liked it.

Sounds from the front door, and then within the house indicated that she was indeed home at last. Warmth and laughter, so very very normal Her voice calling out that she was heading to her room for homework, and a sewing project and then the sound of sneakers on the stairs. The curtain was pushed slightly so she could peer outside and then she beamed, and it opened wide "Hi!" She said, even her words smiled. She glanced over her shoulder and then back. "Did you want to come in?" she asked with a small flush of her cheeks. "I think its safe!"

Up into the tree he went and with a clean jump, he landed on her window sill. "That is a question that never needs answering," he purred, rubbing against her in a feline manner before pouncing down to the floor below. He weaved in and out of her legs for a moment before jumping on her bed to lay down. "How was your day, Ume?" he asked, half yawning. He wanted to transform but held it off for now. He couldn't stay in his human form for long so he'll have to be patient. It was hard though.
It felt odd asking her such mundane questions. How was school? Do anything interesting today? Have any plans for later? Would she ever get tired of it? Truthfully, he didn't care what they talked about. He simply enjoyed spending time with her. "Must school last all bloody day?", he grumbled.

She left the window open and sat down on the bed beside him to scratch behind his ears. She wondered at least in PART if that might seem odd knowing that he could become 'effectively' a human. But if he liked it...where was the harm?
"School was school, a few people out today, I think this city gets more accidents with each passing month." She mused aloud... she didn't voice that she rather suspected that it was due to the 'other' activities of the evening because he had never broached them either. He just... talked, had a star on his head. Maybe he just didn't like to talk 'business'
"What about you?" She asked running a hand down his back, his fur was so soft. She was tempted to scoop him up and put him in her lap, but there was the "I turn into a man and I've kissed you" part of that to think about that was holding her back just a tad.

"Oh, the usual," he purred though a coldness had come to his eyes, "avoiding my 'duties' and all that." He never mentioned what his duties entailed, they were not for Ume to hear. He didn't want to be the bad guy he was and around her, he didn't feel like one. Well, not completely anyway. There was always some dark compulsion nagging at the back of his head. He had come here to kill her once, hadn't he? But he didn't so he can't be all bad.
"The highlight of my day or evening is coming to see you," he drawled out in a flirty manner, unbefitting of his current form. It was almost comical to behold.
"Tell me, are the boys.. behaving?", he asked. He had been around the schools enough to know what the teenagers do when they are around the opposite sex. They were getting into that hormonal age. Was Ume interested in such things? She seemed a little more mature than others but that didn't mean much when it came to the opposite sex. She was a beautiful girl so the odds of the boys leaving her alone was slim. He dug his claws into her bedspread at the thought.
Did he even have a right to be jealous? He wasn't even sure what his relationship was with her, if it was even a relationship. It could be a friendship.. but he was sure she was as attracted to him as he was to her. Maybe she would be happier with a someone closer to her own age... and species. He didn't like that thought one bit.

"They are behaving -just- fine..." She assured him with a smile. After all she could hardly complain of castor, that would be mentioning senshi...talk of 'work'.
"As long as I'm not getting you in trouble, I'd hate to find you with your ears scratched off..." She could just imagine a certain 'bitchy' grey feline doing that too. She gave a small laugh and kissed the top of his head.
Not as satisfying perhaps as when he was human but better than than nothing, except... well maybe except for the fur.
"What about you? Any...ladies or lady cats I should be jealous of?"
