Rune Rune: *wonders over to Orion and blinks in curiousity* Hello there, how can you see? *bends head closer to Orions* Orion Orion: *Looks up with a smile* The truth? Its transparent. I can see out you just can't see in because my body blocks out the light. *He giggled softly before taking in the strangers strange wings, like his they where 'freakish', pleased by that he offered his name* Names Orion, yours? Rune Rune: Truly? Ah how neat! Just like my darling's arm bands/sleeves. *laughs* Ah I see, must come in handy when the enemy is a foot. *eyes orions wings* Us big winged horses need to stick together! Nice to meet you Orion, I am Rune *bows* Pleasure. Orion Orion: Your darling..... *Is confused by that* ...is it like a kind of duckling? How strange. *Sticks out his tongue cheerfully before becoming distracted by Runes name and comment* Rune..... big wings.... *He looked at his own, remembering how as a foal he hated his tiny buds and how people had called him a freak* ...yeah together. *His words were a little distant as he remembered his childhood* Rune Rune: *laughs* Sorry! My mate or darling *winks* Renesme, you are funny! Yes, Rune my mother named me after the strange rune like symbols on my body and my big wings come from my father *nods and takes note of the tone of Orions voice* Yes, you see when I was younger I used to be so clumsy my wings were a little bit bigger than my body *grins sheepishly* I used to get made fun of but I've learned to ignore them. They probably were just jealous anyways! *smiles* Orion Orion: I.... *he hesitated* ...had buds not wings. *Sighs a little, slowly starting to come to terms with things and the cruelity of others* ... I actually don't know how to fly. These *wiggles his wings* just bloomed open one day. I guess I have a lot to catch up on. *Remembering what Rune had said about his name and markings made him curious about his own name, he would have to ask his mother about it later.* My mother is a dragonfly.... my father *he spat the word out* is a mutant kalona.... my mother things it was his deformed genes that made mine and Liors wings a little.... odd. Rune Rune: Ah, thats neat! My Rene has mini wings, I think they are adorable! Size to me does not matter *smiles charmingly* Well, you can always learn my dear fellow! Of course its hard the first few times, I was far from perfect when I just was learning. *laughs* I mean I crashed into a couple of trees *winces* but once I got the hang of it, it all worked out! *headtilt* Dragonfly? How interesting, my mother was a butterfly! Ah I have heard of Kalona's nasty buggers. *nose wrinkles* Orion Orion: *Strangely approves of Runes reaction towards Kalona's despite being part Kalona himself* Well... I will just have to get Lior to help me, I am sure she will learn faster than me, she always does. *He smiled and then tried to imagine a pretty mare with small wings that Rune loved so much. He would very much like to meet them together.* A butterfly..... *He had never met a butterfly mare before* ....is she small? I hope I never chased her? *Loved chasing butterflies as a foal* Rune Rune: Well! That's good to have family to help, I'm sure she will! Yes, a butterfly! Well, to me she is small.... and I guess to others *sheepish* Um, I hope you don't either *laughs* She rarely comes out much anymore, hmmmm I should visit more often.. *feels terrible* Orion Orion: Oh... so you dwarf your mother too? My elder half-brother is about my Mothers build but me and Lior are so much bigger than her. Another gift from my father I suppose. *Shakes his head and smiles, he couldn't imagine not visiting his mother, that said he was still living with her. Would he be like Rune when he eventually left home?* Rune Rune: Um, yes *laughs* I get my size from my father as well. I don't mind of course.. sometimes but I am happy with what I have *chuckles* Yes, I was sad to leave but I am happy I did if I hadn't I never would have met my Rene. I just couldn't imagine my life without her *gentle smile grows on his face* Orion Orion: *Nodded and then found himself thinking about what Rune had said, trying to imagine a family of wings and butterflies, just as strange as his own Mutant Kalona/Dragonfly genes he imagined. Without thinking he spoke a question that was floating around his mind* ....I wonder what it would be like to be as a small as a butterfly? *Shaking his head to bring him back to reality he watched as the beaming smile increased on Rune's face, he clearly loved this Rene of his.* I wonder if I will be lucky enough to find a mare of my own one day? Whatever happens I know I won't leave like my pathetic excuse for a father did. Rune Rune: *blinks and thinks* Hmmm, well I guess it would be a little scary.. I mean EVERYTHING is bigger than you are but in a way it could also be fun, you can get in and off of everything. *nods* Ah, now don't you worry! Your a handsome fellow- *pauses and blushes* U-um not to say I find you attractive! But um *flusters and clears throat* I'm sure there is someone out there for you! For every pot there is a lid and all that! *nudges* That makes you the better male, at least he taught you something: family being important. Orion Orion: *Laughed as Rune fumbled, he hadn't even taken the statement as Rune finding him attractive.* Well my pot is a strange shape so I am not sure it will be an easy find. *Agreeing with Rune he nodded, though a grunt also escaped his lips at the distaste of his own father.* Rune Rune: Hey *shrugs* no such thing as a perfect 'pot' son, we all have our quirks and differences. It would be boring if we were all the same *nods* Orion Orion: *Contemplates his words for a moment* I guess so.... but.... *He hesitated before asking, shifting on his front hooves slightly* ...how did you know that Rene was the one? Surely that commitment wasn't made lightly? Or did you like knock her up and get stuck or something? *Although Orion didn't consider 'getting stuck' to be a bad thing he had heard other stallions complaining about being in a relationship and taking mistresses, would Rune be like them?* Rune Rune: *pauses to think at the questions* Hmmm well, I guess I just knew and no it wasn't taken lightly. I imagined how the rest of my life would be if I didn't have her by my side and I didn't like that very much. Plus we met when we were younger and she had been taken away from me by her family for sometime... It was quiet painful to be honest. *blinks startled* Kn-knock her up? *laughs* No, no! We have yet to have children, though we have been trying *clears throat in discomfort* Orion Orion: *smiles softly at Runes reply, so 'love' did exsist, or at least for one part of the situation it did, he didn't know this Rene to know for sure.* Her family took her away from you... did they not approve? Did they think there was something wrong with you? *Panic struck his tone, did that mean the same would happen to him one day? Would he be doomed to be classed forever as a freak? Or would someone have the strength to come and find him despite what their family may think? How sad for Rune.* You want children then? *He noted the discomfort in his voice and wasn't sure what caused it. Was the prospect of children scary? Or was it the fact they where trying and not having any luck that disturbed him? Thinking it best not to ask he simply said* It will happen when it happens. You will make a good Dad I am sure. At least they will get to know you -always a plus. *beamed up at the older stallion* Rune Rune: *nudges Orion* Calm down son, it had nothing to do with me but a family problem is all. It all sorted itself out eventually as I am with her now. Yes I would love little ones roaming around. *the discomfort coming from talking about mating with a stranger* Thank you *beaming smile* I will try my best at being a father and provide for my children. Orion Orion: *Nods softly* I have no doubt. *He coughed softly* Just make sure to tell me which ones are yours incase I try and make a move on one... *sigh softly* ...I wouldn't want to offend you or anything Rune Rune: *gives a warning look* Now, now. They aren't even born yet *getting protective over the possiblity of girls* Gah, I think I'm going to be sick about the future.. *gets dizzy at the possiblity of unknown young males taking his baby girls away* Offend? Tisktisk, you have to think more positive my friend! *eyes Orion and nudges gently* Orion Orion: *Gulps at the sudden change in Rune* Sorry *he mumbled as he watched Rune's mood pick up once again.* I shall try..... I just.... don't know what I have to be positive about. Rune Rune: *snickers* Um, yeah sorry about that. I am sure you will understand once you have foals of your own *nods* Life? Your life has just begun, you have to live it! Think of all you can do and see! *smiles*
