Hi. So, I met this guy about 5yrs ago he is in the military. We had a very strong connection from the first time I met him and he even admitted the first time we met that he felt like he knew me forever. We talked very sporadically about once every year or so until we just kind of...stop talking so we never got a chance to get to know each other. But now we're talking again and he's currently deployed. He JUST broke up with his girlfriend but there's this girl who is overly flirtatious and kind of a slut who is trying to get with him. Obviously I want him to myself but I don't know him well enough to say "I think we should give this relationship a try". So, I'm stuck with forming a friendship or some sort of connection with him. We started exchanging poetry because we both write. The last time we talked was six days ago and he said, "Hey! I have another poem but I don't have time to write it, things are pretty busy this week. I like that one! Just wanted to say hi and stay in touch with you!". I replied that same day and told him that I wanted to stay in touch too and that I couldn't wait to see his next poem. As I've said it's been 6 days and I dunno if I should send a msg just saying "Hi hope all is well" or something like that or if I should just wait....also I've seen him online and he's playing games (on FB how it updates what games someone is playing) so I feel like he has time but he isn't talking to me....help...

he's probably signing on to check messages but not getting any and thus playing the games to relieve deployment stress
or for that matter his CO may have told him to play these games to relieve some work stress
as for sending the message, it seems you two are good friends, so keeping in touch is a-okay, send it.

I feel better after you say that because I had the same thought. my only worry is that he'd think I wasn't interested in staying in touch since it's been almost 2 weeks....but i just sent the msg so hopefully he won't feel that way... xd

don't give your hopes up try to hook up with him say you really like him and you wanna try it out but don't be crushed if this girl continues and he does not shove her away he's not worth it then I know how that feels and once I was a way from him my head cleared up
