In the same fashion as the Weekly Caption Contest, I have decided that we needed a song lyrics contest, too. =D
This will be a continuing contest, changing every week or so.
How it works
~In the following post, I will post an excerpt of lyrics from a song that I like and whatnot.
~Everyone will have a week to guess what the song is, the artist, where it's from, etc.
~First person to guess correctly wins 5k.
~After someone guesses right, the lyrics will change. If nobody guesses correctly within a week, I will give out the answer and change the lyrics.
To win, you need to provide at least two (2) of the following things in your answer:
~Song title
~Artist/Band
~Album
~Movie/Musical/TV show/etc. that it's from
There is only one rule in this contest. You may NOT Google or place the lyrics in a search engine to find the artist/song/etc. That's just cheating. >>; However, you guys may ask for hints or clues, especially when I provide more difficult lyrics (say, lyrics from a Japanese song or something of the like). You may, however, use whatever hint I give in Google/another search engine. You can use whatever hints I give you guys in any way you can think of.
Once a song has been correctly guessed, or when I reveal the answer, I will post a YouTube link to the song so you guys can listen to it. =D
