'Go outside and play, Gio, it's a nice day out and you could use some sun.' Were the words that Aderyn used to ger her bouncy little son out of the house while she worked on another set of super heated, sharp objects for a client. Giovanni did indeed go outside, but he wandered off quite a ways away from the house, more than a block further than his mother was expecting. Though the boy thought it'd be fun, to go on his own adventure without his mother chasing him about and making sure he was fine. Besides, what could go wrong?
A few blocks away from the shop, Giovanni stumbled onto the construction site of a new church that was being built right where the old one had stood before it had burned down. The blue haired boys eyes widened as he saw all the scaffolding, pipes, wood, and hundreds of other objects just thrown about the site. Luckily for him, it was a Sunday which meant that all the construction workers were at the other church a few blocks away for mass.
Grinning like the little demon he was, the boy walked around the fence before he spotted a hole in the fence that was just big enough for him to squeeze through and once he was on the other side, he started to meander about the site.
Oh this was going to be fun.

Gavin knew 3 things. First that Mommy had told Edmund to watch him and Keiran while they played outside. Second, that he had entirely no intention of staying in the backyard with so many interesting things out there. Third was that Edmund absolutely loved his garden, and once he started on it he'd be paying no attention to himself or Keiran. He was good for a while, playing tag with Keiran. But he kept shooting sneaky glances in Edmund's direction. "Hey Kei." he sidled up to him and whispered close to his ear. "Wanna go 'splorin?"
Keiran was new to the household. Having only been there for a few days. Already he knew that Gavin liked to "explore" things. Though he hadn't quite connected that this was in fact sometimes a horrible idea. He was absolutely delighted that Gavin wanted to include him on his adventure so he grinned widely and responded in a hushed tone. "Kay."
He waited for his moment, and finally it came! Edmund was intently peering at an earthworm he had dug up in his garden. This was his chance! He grabbed Keiran's hand and went over to the gate with him to investigate the lock on it. Keian giggled softly as he did before Gavin shushed him. Gavin extended a little finger and poked the lock and hoped that it would open. He was in luck! It did! Through the gate he went with Keiran in tow.
He had never been so far from the house unsupervised so between trying to careful not to fall he peered around with big red eyes. "Wow..." He would say to a passing tree. "Ohh" to a passing house. He had no idea where they were going but boy was he thrilled.
Finally something caught Gavin's eye. It was a sign with big red letters. He couldn't read too well yet but he was learning. The only part of the sign that he could read was a word which he spelled out loud. "N....O....T....Tha word has NO innit." he informed Keiran who just needed with big eyes. The sign was hanging on a fence which surrounded a construction site. It certainly wasn't a place either should be going, but Gavin had read the magic word. No. He had to go in now he just had to! He looked around briefly before finding a way in, pulling Keiran with him.

Hayden had slipped away again while his mother had her back turned, but she never really sought after him even when he ran away right in front of her anyway. She was just absentminded like that.
He found his way to the construction site and stared in awe. These were the same trucks he'd seen when they drove by the other day! The same ones he told Asu he wanted to play with. Asu promised to get him some trucks from the toy store, but these ones were definitely better.
Hayden crawled underneath the "DO NOT ENTER" tape and made a b-line for the nearest truck. He stared up at it for a moment before he attempted climbing up one of the wheels. "Uff... t-too big!" He complained aloud to himself.

Only a few minutes had passed since Giovanni had gotten into the site when the other boys started to show up, though he had only noticed them when he heard a rather loud voice complaining about something. Looking away from his failed attempt at climbing onto the scaffolding, the blue haired boy let himself return to the ground before he went to find who had made the complaint.
Sneaking around the pipes and piled up wood, Gio soon found himself next to the large truck that Hayden was trying to get into. A small smile formed on the boys lips as he watched the other, not wanting to be seen just yet.

Keiran was peering around in wonder when he heard a voice. This time, it was him dragging Gavin off. His brain started hatching plans. Maybe if he climbed up somewhere really high Gavin and this new person would watch him. Yes that would be good, to have all their attention on him. He spotted the new kid and started trying to climb up next to him. It was harder then it looked and this his clumsiness he felt a bit unbalanced. He wobbled slightly on where he was perched and then continued going.
Gavin didn't mind being pulled off towards the voice. He liked people too. He did however like to be on the ground, so while Keiran attempted to scramble up the truck he stayed there. "Hiii." He called up to the new kid, face spreading into a grin.

Hayden turned his large limegreen eyes to stare at Keiran, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere. He got distracted enough to fall back down on his behind, causing a small cloud of dust and a squeak to emit from him. He didn't really have time to react to Keiran since Gavin started speaking.
He whipped his head around, nearly losing his over sized headphones in the process. "Hi?" He stared at Gavin for a moment before getting up and dusting himself off. "Whur you?" He frowned a little, glancing from Keiran to Gavin.
He hadn't noticed Giovanni at all.

The blue haired boy continued to watch, his grin widening when he saw two more boys come about to join the one he had previously been watching. Sliding into a squat, Giovanni just sat there, his eyes wide. He had never gone this long without being noticed before and it was quite exciting for him.
Sadly, it wasn't meant to last seeing as a few seconds after he had squatted, he sneezed...rather loudly.

Keiran watched with wide eyes as the other boy fell. Should he check if he was ok? He started climbing back down to investigate. When the boy got up again he sighed a little sigh of relief and then replied "I Kei. You?" smiling.
Gavin's eyes widened too at watching the new boy fall. But he seemed to be alright, getting up and dusting himself off. "I'm Gavin." He was planning to wait around for the new boy's name but then he heard the sneeze. He turned around in the direction it had come from and started in that direction. Was there a person hiding? Gavin just had to know, he loved hidden things. He peeked around and finally saw a boy about his age with blue hair. Pure joy spread over his face at finding the hidden boy. "Found you!" he exclaimed.

"Hayden..." He replied hesitantly. The sneeze made him stare off in Gio's direction, but since Gavin had gone to see who it was he didn't focus on it for too long. Since the other boy was checking it out he returned to his truck-climbing, this time getting a better footing. "T-too big." He complained again, silently, as he pulled himself up over the tire. Once on top he sat himself down with a heavy sigh and brushed himself off again.
His momma would be upset if he came home all dirty, after all.

"W-who said I was hidin?" The boy blurted out quickly as he got to his feet before he looked to the one who found him.
"Why you here?" Giovanni asked bluntly, his eyes thin and questioning Gavin before he looked to the other two boys at the truck. After a second of waiting, an idea formed in the boys head.
"Hey! Wanna go on a' adventure?"

"Is big..." Keiran replied as he watched the other tot struggle up the tire. Then he determinedly started climbing up after him again. He wobbled and nearly fell several times before settling next to him on the tire. He was going to climb up higher for sure, but for now he was going to rest. "Gavin is my big bwother." he informed Hayden very seriously. "We 'sploring! You?" He was curious why the boy was in this strange place too.
"Well dunno if you were, but found you!" Gavin replied to the first question. He wasn't really bothered by the questioning look he was given.
"I'm here cause um...I wanted to 'scape the yard and 'splore." He answered the second than then his face lit up in pure joy again at the third. "Course I do! I love adventures. Name is Gavin, you?" He grinned good naturedly and rocked back on his heels and then back to the balls of his feet as he waited for the new kid's name.

Hayden eyed Keiran as he settled down on the tire next to him. "Oh. I was gunna find my big bruther 'caus he's missin' but I wanned to play with the trucks 'stead." He replied with a grin. "D'you like trucks?" He blinked his eyes a few times, gaining a look of utter curiosity. If he made a friend that liked trucks too, he was sure he'd have a lot of fun.

Giovannis grin widens as he gets the answer he was hoping for, "Lets get the others and have an adventure, then!" he shouts, grabbing the others hand and running over to the truck so he could meet the others and hopefully get them to join in on the adventure too.

Keiran had to contemplate that a moment. He thought maybe it would be kind of scary to lose either of his big brothers. Also he wasn't too terribly sure what a truck was for. He'd seen them around and in one of those books that taught words, but he had no idea if he liked them. "Dunno..." He peered at the one they were sitting on. "I like that it's yelwo." It was a very pretty color after all. "Wuzza truck for?" Keiran decided he might as well ask.
Gavin happily followed after the blue haired kid as he lead him off towards the others. The more on the adventure the better, plus he always liked to have Keiran along. Keiran needed to learn not to be boring like big brother Edmund and actually go on adventures. He did still want to know this new kids name though. "You have a name?" he asked as they headed towards the truck.

"Y'dunno what a truck is for?" Hayden's eyes went wide with surprise. "Therr fer like... Buildin' things! An' this'un digs up dirt!" He pointed to the shovel at the front of the truck. "An'-an' some of 'em make roads to drive cars on!" He waved his arms a little, clearly excited. "An' THAT one," he paused, pointing at the crane, "makes really big buildin's!"
