Ishi was fascinated. Utterly and completely fascinated. Here he was, milling about the human crowds at a bus stop, next to a cross walk. The lines on the...'street' things were clearly marked. Humans must be in the lines. This was clearly defined. CLEARLY. Yet, mothers and children, young and old, dashed in and out of the marked areas, next to the metal creatures called 'Cars', (which the humans had tamed into obedience some generations ago obviously). The humans couldn't even obey their own rules!
No wonder Ilie hated them so much. Good snack makers, bad at everything else, these humans.
Still, a crowd was a crowd. Full of energy. A crowd was a prime center to unleash one of his loyal cardians. But...which one to call...

Ishi blocked half the sidewalk, not bothering to move to the side while he contemplated what cardian would best be able to deal with the metal beasts that carried humans too and fro, should they go wile with no humans to guide them.
Wild beasties, those cars. Just wild.

-Aurora Namid, super secret solider of 'justice and good', was less then concerned with her senshi duties for the day. It was early enough in the day that most youma weren't roaming around too visably, and like most of the other young girls and boys that shared her new profession, she DID have other things to worry about as well. Things like planning for spring break, and more importantly, planning out the classes she'd be taking when the new semester began.

It had always been so strange to her.. how early they expected them to chose. But it hadn't puzzled her enough to stop her little trip to the largest bookstore to research. Sure.. Crystal had a GREAT library. But the book store had such varied and modern selections of books. Not to mention a totally delicious iced coffee.

Waiting at the sidewalk edge on the opposite side of the street as Ishi, she was oblivious to what was happening. Her fingers dug lightly through her sachel, hunting out her wallet in the collection of items, trying her best to ignore the large group of people going back and forth. Sure it could be exciting. But sometimes, especially like this with people crossing like noisy buffalo, it really made one miss the simplicity of the country.-

Parker had been roaming Destiny City for a few hours, ducking into every shop that looked within his price range to see if anyone sold customizable makeup mirrors. He wouldn't have to look at all if Tate hadn't been so difficult. He still didn't understand why she felt compelled to throw the mirror -- a mirror that belonged to Dani -- into the seashell-filled sand on the beach.

If it hadn't been Dani's, Parker would not have cared. But it was, and they were fighting. After hurting her feelings, now he was hurting her things. It sat like a rock in his stomach and rolled around any time he thought of her.

Which was a hell of a lot.

Giving up the search, Parker set back out onto the street, moving toward the cross walk. He didn't notice Ishi at all. He was too busy gaping at Aurora -- a girl he'd had the misfortune of meeting on multiple occasions. It was bad enough she was privileged enough to attend Crystal Academy, but in his opinion, she embodied most of his stereotypes about them too (though Parker was the kind of douche who assumed all CA girls fit that profile).

Parker waited for the WALK light to change, shot her a look, and then went back to pretending he hadn't noticed her at all.

To much noise, to many people, and to little 'poh-pohs', whatever a poh-poh was. Giggling, Ishi dropped his card on the ground half haphazardly, then skittered to the other side of the street as the light just finished blinking. Once on the side without the majority of humans, Ishi stole away into the shadows...

And a tune fell over the busy street, leaving behind a faint echo.

(please wait another 24 hrs. Cardian had to be switched OKAY WE ARE BATTLE READY)

Orf' n Fannie appeared to be lost...she clutched her tiny hands close to her chest like she was afraid someone would grab her hands and steal her away, her plushy bear 'back pack's head bobbled almost forlornly as she looked around for someone 'safe', her wide eyes watery with tears.

She saw Parker, and clattered towards him with the stiff legged trot of youth. "Mmmmmm!!!" She declared trying to choke back tears it seemed... maybe she was looking for her mommy?

-She had been just as oblivious to Parker as she had been of the the alien. Even despite the imaginary holes his stare had likely drilled through her. It was a lovely day after all. The sun was warm despite the month, the day was young.. all was well. Or not.

The familiar tune ripped Aurora's head upward as if it were a yoyo on a string. She'd only heard it once before.. but it was the sort of thing one didn't forget.

The aliens.. though she hadn't got much of an answer what they were doing.. or why. And the little gingerbread girl.. She still cringed at the thought in worry and uncertainty. Had it just been some monster? Or was it some child.. some poor child corrupted and mutated by horrible magical flute alien powers?

There were so many people... so many. Her eyes cruised across the crowd helplessly, looking for an alien.. looking for some sign of trouble. She had to double take when she spotted the familiar face of the worlds grouchiest jerkwad. It was her turn to stare, completely missing the fact that the walk light had blinked to life.-

The light changed, and a strange tune carried across the street. Parker paused, glancing back the way he had come to locate the source. When he looked back, the light had changed again, cars were moving, and there was a small child crying beside him.

Oh great. Kids.

Parker was about as good with kids as sandpaper was with bare a**. He grew flustered. "Ahhh, don't start crying," he said, waving one hand at her. Was this entertaining? Him waving his hand? Maybe if he made it into a duck she would stop? He contorted his hand to form the only shadow puppet he knew how to create (aside from the bird from Napoleon Dynamite). "It's a bird," he said, and then, "Where are your parents?"

There were a lot of people on the street, but none seemed to have the characteristic red-faced flailing of a parent missing a child. Maybe they hadn't noticed yet? It wasn't like he could just scream, "HEY, WHO IS MISSING THIS KID?" without entertaining the possibility of someone sinister taking her. Parker wasn't the nicest person in the world, but he wouldn't just throw some poor lost kid to the wolves like a monster.

Under his breath, Parker muttered, "I guess you're my problem for a while," and continued glancing around the street. Was there a police officer nearby?

She made those awful little blubbering sounds, the ones that normally make or break one heck of a bawl.
Her watery eyes widened though and her head tipped curious at the motions his hands made to form creatures for shadows.
She reached up her little chubby hands to make grasping fingers at his hands "Mmm!! Mmm!!!" she said eagerly and then introduced herself eagerly still reaching.

"FANNIE!" and then pausing she pointed over her shoulder at the backpack. "ORF!"

((Given the go ahead to post, Vamps will jump in whenever Ishi wants to post :3 ))

-Her stare gradually softened as she felt someone else's arm brush against hers, noticing the light finally. It was time to walk, she began to move instinctively, pausing after only a step. But.. the music..?

And Parker.

Her eyes drifted back to Parker, only spotting the little girl beside him now that the crowd around him had began to dispurse. Alarm bells sounded. But not the right alarm.

What was he doing with that little girl!? She thought Parker was horrible. But ***** or kiddynapper horrible? She could only hope not.

Fighting against the crowd, she attempted to cut the distance between the two of them, forgetting about her attempts to cross the street and the mysterious music.-

Oh, no, this wasn't helping. Parker looked down the street again, but everyone seemed to be coming and going without paying much attention. "Did anyone lose...?" His words trailed off when the little girl began to jump toward him.

Parker dropped to one knee on the ground beside her. "Fannie? You're Fannie." And she named her backpack? Um, cute. "Okay, Fannie, I'm Parker. And... I guess I'm going to take you to the police station." With no parents running around screaming out for their lost child, the teenager had no idea what else to do. Involving the police seemed to be the lost-child protocol, as far as he knew.

There was a police station a few blocks over. They could probably walk there. Parker held out his hand. "We can walk over there, and I'll find someone to help you." He didn't exactly have a paternal tone, or even a highly sympathetic one. Parker's voice was a touch softer, his words a little more careful. Anything to keep this kid from crying.

He didn't even notice that Aurora was still in the area.

Her bottom lip quivered at the mention of taking her anywhere, a -dangerous- kind of quiver. The first hint of a big wet honest to god -tear- welled up in the corner of one big watery eye.

She shook her head and stretched her arms out for a hug. Just a hug... that was all
And a little energy... but they'd never miss that right?
PostPosted: Mon Mar 22, 2010 1:34 pm

-As she drew nearer and more of the crowd began to clear she could see the general look of distress on the child, and took the hint that screaming out probably wasn't the best choice. Nothing seemed to upset young children more than people screaming and arguing around them. But still...

Was it a younger sibling of his...? Just irritated at her older brother? Or was it really as heinous as a child napping or tormenting? If she could just hear what was going on... But the city streets were so loud. People and cars everywhere, all seemingly oblivious to the young girl.

The attempted hug or request to be picked up soothed her nerves slightly, as she paused a few stride away she called out lightly, abandoning for now, the notion that he was doing anything intentionally nasty.- "You guys alright?" -She wasn't about to abandon the little girl though nonetheless. Unintentionally nasty had Parker's picture next to it in the dictionary after all.-

Parker stared down at the little girl who reached for a hug. A hug? Damn, he was already offering his hand to her! So far, he had been pretty good with the kid, but that didn't mean he was the nurturing or paternal type. He just knew that it was wrong to abandon a kid under any circumstances. If there was something he could do to prevent that, he would, especially when it just meant walking a kid to the police station.

And apparently a hug.

Sighing, he opened his other arm and started to lean forward, but Aurora's voice stopped him short. He'd forgotten she was even there, and suddenly he stiffened. "Do you know this girl?" From her tone, it sounded like she did. Why else would she stop to ask? Parker let his arms fall back down, but he was still crouched on the sidewalk next to the child, even though it meant staring up at Aurora.

She gleefully wrapped arms around his neck and snuggled him like -he- was the teddybear.

It was actually subtle when Orf moved. Black button eyes glinted at the new approaching target, well...
It was subtle till the back pack licked its lips anyhow.

((Permission to try and drain parker?))

"No I don't" -She stated matter of factly, flatly even. It was terrible of her.. just as terrible as he was that she'd written him off and no longer tried to be nice to him. But she didn't. The child however saved him from any tones of attitude.- "Boys aren't always wonderful with children or younger siblings." -She offered after a moment, some sort of reasoning if he would accept it. He didn't need to know that she'd worried for a moment that he was a ***** smiled softly down to the little girl, not noticing the shift of Orf.. or perhaps she had, but it'd looked just like the shifting of fabric on a moving back. Reguardless, she watched the two for a moment, finding herself, atleast momentarily less disgusted by the boy.- "I'm guessing you don't either than."
