User Image It was seemingly common now- that Nyoka was putting Bugie out to further engulf his 'brother'. It would be easy.. she'd say 'I need to talk in private with Nanashi' and that would be it. Nanashi would give her the time of day as he furthered in to her trap.. and Bugie now was to fresh to know what was bad for them. But..deep down inside. He knew he would be the main squeeze of what seemed to be the Boss lady. Not that she was bad up front.. she was BEAUTIFUL! Amazing in fact.. but he just couldn't shake the feeling that she was pushing him away. Saying 'Go recruit some ladies.. go have fun~'. Bugie was far to honest and kind to say otherwise so he sent off again. Along the forest ring of the pride and off to what seemed to be a secondary forest. Different in smell and colors than the ring forest of the pride.

As he got to where a waterfall was he looked up for the thickest of trees. Branches that can hold pure muscle.. and once he spotted one it would have taken him only mere seconds to get up in it.

He stood there a moment.. watching as the water rippled down.. Slowly he lowered his body in to a lay. Watching the scenery.. not expecting to 'meet' anyone.. Not as far as a look before disappearing.. His senses were now lowered to experience fully the wild that he had entered. This.. was something different.. the smells..

His ears lowered flat to his skull as he absorbed it all a moment. "Hmm.." A very content but serious facial expression.

User ImageIt was in a tree where she saw the spotted leopard watching the water. She arched a brow as he seemed to frown at his reflection; a very moody leopard indeed. Flicking her brown tail, Shri got up from her limb and jumped down. She wasn't in his line of sight, because she was behind him. She only saw the slight from because his ears pinned back.

Landing silently as she could, the cheetah moved up beside him and dipped her head, starting lapping at the water. Something about this leopard seemed odd. He had some kind of leadership, power, maybe?, about him. She wasn't to sure.

"Don't look so down. It doesn't suit a leopard." All the leopard's she'd met had been happy creatures of fancy and whim. But he seemed like a troubled soul, one that needed cheering up. She didn't care if she scared him, he should have paid more attention to his surroundings if that scared him. "Your life can't be that bad, I smell others on you." Shri had no one. Her brother had left her when she was a cub, and she didn't know her parents.

Her story wasn't as sad as some, but it was still sad to her.

His body wasn't too relaxed nor too tensed.. the frown covering his face from his truly happy form when he was a rogue with his family. His tail swishing.. but when his brain seemed to space out.. it came promptly back when he saw the water move. When he turned~ he was startled inwardly but he gave off a surprised looked when his head lifted up a little and his ears both went up in a sorta cute surprised face. He listed to what she said.. and sorta looked back on the water.. It rippled still even after she lapped. "A leopard?" He questioned. "What are those?" Slowly going back to look at her.. he knew he was a cheetah... he swore it. But was a leopard the type of emotion? Or a depressed animal? He looked like he was questioned her very words just to himself. Wondering what a leopard was.

His ears went to the side. "No... my life is not bad if I am with family... but without them I feel rather dull." He laid down slowly and barely reached his tongue to the water for a lap himself. He was graceful.. many attributes about him were from growing up with cheetahs. Knowing himself to be one.. except. He was just born a bulkier cheetah.. like his mother said. Pure muscle! But sometimes he didn't think he was at all himself. Sighing. This cheetah had found him- even in this large landscape.. he closed his eyes.. The killer he was only ensued when catching prey.. but soon he would have to detach himself from the world.. in days to come.

"And you... You seemed to have found your way here.. what is your story?" Looking to her with sweet emerald eyes.. He was a big lump of heart.. Something his cheetah mother treasured about him.. No matter how big he got.. he was still just a teddy bear at heart.

Woah, what? He didn't know he was a leopard? She looked at his adorable face and looked completely shocked. He was a leopard. Surly he didn't think he was a cheetah or a lion. Surly he was kidding with her? Clearing her throat, she ignored explaining what a leopard was. Abhishri didn't want to be the one to explain the differences between a leopard and a cheetah. After all, she didn't know him, know who who he was or anything about him.

Then those green eyes hit her own and she felt her breath catch. He was so cute, right now. He seemed so completely innocent despite being an adult. That was a rare thing to come by, an adult who wasn't jaded about life because of a bad past. Maybe he didn't have one. Maybe he was a rare one who had a good past and a good family. Just a little delusional. Whatever, she could deal with that.

"Everyone feels that way when they first leave their family. I know I had a hard time leaving my twin brother. Still, you learn what to do to pass the time. Chase things, hunt, sleep, find others to talk too...." She nodded a bit and then smirked a little at his other question. "My name is Abhshri. Shri for short, or Ab. Whichever one. Sometimes Abby. And my story? Well. ....It is a very interesting one, I can tell you that. But it is long and tedious to tell. You sure you want to hear it?"

Somehow.. something clicked when he looked in her eyes. She ...was kinder than Nyoka. It seemed like she didn't always have back motives.. Because when he did look in your eyes.. It was like looking past them to the inside.. "After a few chases, hunting and sleep you get tired.. but.. talking to others.. seems like what I feel like doing now. Or rather.. listen." A soft smile was brewing but did not descend just yet. His face softened. "Abhshri... sounds like a beautiful name. I am Bugie... and would not mind listening to a long and tedious story if the teller is willing to share." Thats when his smile came out. It was minor,... but minor suited him well. He leaned forward and took a few laps looking in to the water as he did.. Seeing his face ripple and what an unearthly look it was..

It was midday.. the sun still shining overhead and he thought about what would happen if he did not find a female to bring back.. but ultimately. He was not looking. Instead. He was looking for something to take away this heartbreaking experience he was going through.. Family meant everything to him and would never dream anything more..

Slowly tucking back and his arms crossed as he got comfortable. If it was a long one.. he would need to get comfy. After getting comfortable with his laying up position.. He turned to her.. he was the sort of male that gave off that inviting vibe. But never one to ask it .. he never even thought of it.

"I am a good listener." He whispered. Nodding just a slim. And every flicker of his tail took time as to not make any noise while she spoke. Courtesy thing he was.

"I was raised in unclaimed territory. Just mother, and my brother and myself. From the time we could walk, she taught us how to hunt. She knew she wouldn't be around all the time, so she wanted us to survive. To carry on her legacy, you see. My brother and I were twins. She and her sister were twins. Both she and her sister were killed by a hunting party of lions for crossing into their pride unknowingly.

"Knowing mother, she just wanted to end her life to meet a better fate. She honestly never loved us. Just wanted us to continue her bloodline. I don't know my father, but I'm guessing he's no good. Didn't even help mother out. To this day I don't know if she would have accepted help...." She took a deep breath and sat back comfortably, a frown playing at her lips as she recounted the experience.

"One cold morning... I took off. My twin and I had always been close. I loved my brother, but he loved me in a bit of an unnatural way. I had to leave for the good of us both. I didn't want to. I had too." It seemed important that she had to drill that into the leopard's head. "Then I spent some time hating everyone. I hated lions, I still do. I hated other cheetahs, hyenas, birds, mice.. Everything. It felt like my life was nothing more than this... black hatred.

".....Then I got tired of hating. It took up too much of my time, made me always tired. So I just wandered. No one came up to me as I did. I weaved in and out between prides and packs alike. Never seeking refuge from them, never asking anything. .....and here I am now." Abby gave Bugie a bit of a smile and sighed. Her tale was, indeed, long.

The cheetah believing leopard laid there.. soaking in every word. Her speech pattern and just the tid bits of every motion in her body. The way she expressed her story.. he was glued on to her and in every passing word.. He felt. Sadness.. Tilting his head to see every inch in her face.. As if hanging on each and every word. When she said she hated cheetahs.. his ears slicked back.. and stuck to his head. Hoping .. she did not hate them no longer. That would mean that his presence could be a bother for her.

It was long but he took it in like a sponge. When she spoke that she 'had' to.. It was like.. as if the same thing would happen to him one day. But he hoped not... 'tired' PHEW. Finally that was it.Now she was ok with other cheetahs? This gave him hope.

"-here I am now." Somehow. That tinged a pain within him. A little ache but he nodded to her. He couldn't find the words to say.. or somehow help her. "I..hope you are.. then ok with me being here." He spoke ever so softly. But then. He announced after coming to the conclusion in his head. "Would... you like to walk with me? Shake the past a little bit off.. Maybe hungry. I can catch you something." Voice sounding eager to serve her somehow. But.. pleading. He .. didn't want to see this cheetah alone anymore. She went through so much.. and it pained him. Somehow he needed her to know.. that now that he met her. Knowing her story as well.. he didn't want to just leave her. It was like.. a sin if he did. "I can. Really." Apologetic in his eyes.. but still. He wanted to help.

The female blinked at him. Bugie seemed to understand her sadness; the pain she'd been through. He seemed like the only one who didn't turn a cold shoulder to her past and tell her to get over it. The cheetah female gave a nod to his pleading look; not honestly able to say no, though she knew she should. Bugie was.... different than what she'd met before. He seemed the sort to take someone in under his wing and never disappoint them. Though it'd be hard to disappoint this cheetah. Abby moved over to him and gave him a bit of an affectionate headbutt, her way of saying it would all be OK; it would all work out.

"Let's go, then.... I know I could use something good to eat. Preferably a bigger game so we don't have to hunt for a few days." How easily 'we' flowed off her tongue; as if she would be staying with him. She could see him as a good friend.... maybe more given time.

Up on all four paws.. and ready to BOLT if she said bolt.. but instead.. when she came close to him he retracked his head just lightly and up.. before getting headbutted.. He smiled a familiar smile. Nudging her head lightly.. and taking a minute to look in to her eyes.. She was unique.. and she was... different.

She was a cheetah~ and that knew of a hard past to grow up in to a future. Or so he thought but.. something was off and he didn't know what it was.. Nudging her to the side before darting off in to the lush.. turning around mid step a few steps away..

"It's alright. I can hunt bigger game. Anything to see a ..smile." He teased.. waving his tail about before jumping over a bush thicket of the sort.. He'd rush if he had to.. but taking him time to spot game in an unknown area would be new to him. Where his pride was.. there was always game of some sort- only because it offered many terrains that housed many different animals.. and not only that. A spring.

She smirked and headed after him, racing just a few pawsteps ahead to prove she could beat him. Of course Abhi had to prove herself. She could not let a leopard beat her at running and hunting.

So, into the brush she went with the leopard, ready to kill and prove herself worthy. She would follow him until he tried to push her away. Somehow, though, Abhi knew he wouldn't. He would let her follow him to the pride, and eventually settle with him. Something about this male tugged familiarity. Maybe it was the hardship they both endured. Maybe. She didn't know, but she wanted to find out.
