Hey everyone, how's it goin' biggrin
So I'm freelance, and I'm a mod in Unashamed: A Christian Discussion Guild and I'm also an LD reg. I recently decided I was sick of the religious ignorance in the LD, and decided that I wanted to put together a religious tolerance and education thread for the LD. There are tons of other support threads, and religion is related to your lifestyle, so I thought it was appropriate.
Here's the thing: I really need some help. Call Me Apple recommended this guild to me, and I was wondering if there was anyone willing to perhaps help mod the thread or put it together. I'm working on writing short little two to three paragraph blurbs about each religion that highlights the main points, but I want to cover all the bases, so I'm doing all the major world religions, Baha'i, Sihk, Jainism, Satanism, Daoism, Wicca etc. I've taken classes that cover almost all of those, but it's still a lot to write up myself, and getting a description from an actual member of the faith would be better.
So basically, if you're at all interested in helping me out, please PM me! I'd really appreciate it.

If anyone is particularity familiar with a certain religion, let me know. You can write the short synopsis or if I've already written one you can read it and make sure I got everything right and it makes sense.
I'm trying to get as much done this week while I'm on spring break, because my two week after are going to be really busy. I will need some active mods since I'm so busy during the school year.

@ Miedias: I PMed you my section on Judaism. Feel free to edit as necessary.
@Semiremis: I wasn't going to do a specific section on Catholicism. Right now I have a very broad overview of Christianity as a whole, and then mention the various different branches. One of my goals with the Christian blurb is to present the beliefs as unbiased as possible. I'm trying to separate it, if you will, from the small, vocal, bigoted minority. However, I'd love to have a Catholic as a thread mod, since I have very little knowledge or specific Catholic traditions.

Wonderful idea. The only religion I belong to and know a lot about is Unitarian Universalism, but i could certainly do something about that if no one else is.

 This seems like an excellent idea.
But I don't recommend bringing Wicca into it unless you feel it is absolutely necessary. Or your thread will become a warzone between the "Wicca is/n't oathbound and initiatory!" camps.
