Remi: Remi peers into Guin's studio and frowns, tail swishing gently. It's been days since he last saw her, and when Remi doesn't see someone for days, he tends to jump to conclusions, i.e, that person is dead or angry
Gwin: *observing the painting she was doing with obvious distaste, mixing several paints together without even realizing someone was watching. Paint was splattered all over her jeans and halter top, in her hair and deeply embedded under her nails. It was pleasant just being connected to the painting. Alice always had warned people away when she painted, but Gwin really didn't mind, as long as the people didn't touch.*
Remi: Remi hesitates, since Gwin is very clearly alive, and therefore that leaves angry, but then remembers that he is in fact Remi the Violinist/Explorer, title too long to bear repeating, and thus waltzes in and looks casually over Gwin's shoulder.
"Very artsy," he states, for lack of a better word."I see the, er, artiness in the brushstrokes."
Gwin: Gwin laughed from his obvious lack of visual art talent/ intelligence. "yeah I do suppose its rather arty in nature." she leaned forward, nose nearly touching the paint as she observed how the paint smeared in with the background, making the face have a black splash against the pale flesh. "the student could have done better, My piece in progress is that way, perhaps you would like to take a look." Gwin smiled and winked at the male, before turning the easel to face him... with himself, playing his trusty violin and obviously at peace for those few times Remi could be considered at peace.
Remi: Remi grinned sheepishly and said "Swap you violin trivia for art lingo," before she grabbed the other canvas, and then his mouth fell open. "Whoa! I mean-" "Whoa!" Looking over at Gwin, he said "That's brilliant, you got the pose right and all, and I mean, you can do that just by looking?" He circled the canvas and looked it up and down before looking back at her, grinning hugely. "Kinda makes me jealous of the attractive devil."
He was totally shameless.
Gwin: Gwin grinned bank, a light blush tickling her cheeks -which only happened when she was talking about her art- "well... its not really finished yet." Gwin rubbed the back of her neck and smiled again walking over to her makeshift desk in the makeshift shed and pulling out the various sketches she had made while he moved. "took me forever to pick one. I hope you don't mind"
Remi: "Looks amazing to me already," Remi commented lightly, strolling over to look at the sketches. "Do you do this a lot? This is really awesome, I mean, you really got Rupert down pat." He frowned at her like he was trying to figure her out. "Have you ever played a violin before?"
Gwin: With a shake of the head Gwin laughed. "I may be artistic, but I couldn't play a instrument to save my life. Tried Violin, Guitar, and piano, but i failed them all. I very much like listening though. Painting is my life, and me getting to share it is enough. Guess I need to pass on talent then horde it myself." She looked amid the various pictures scattered and pulled one up, a picture Dae Kyun had drawn.
"Like this, a blind mute student drew this the same day. It was how he saw the world." The colors congregated around a vaguely cello type shape and the shape of a woman.pictured in Deep Burgundy's and silvers -obviously, Alice-
Remi: "Good one of Alice," Remi said after scrutinizing it for a moment. "I like yours better." Remi= Blunt, but well-meaning. "The way you captured the motions, i could of sworn you played violin. And that was all from watching me? I wish students were half so observant." He laughed and reached to nudge her shoulder affectionately, then paused. "That might work, you know, if I told them to be sort of more observant like that. Like you, you know?" Remi. Telling people to notice more. It was a funny idea.
Gwin: Gwin laughed, it wasn't often she talked to the other teachers so she had really no idea how the other students were learning. "It could work but it would take a lot more then just telling them to observe, they would have to get into the mind setting to catch such detail." she indicated to the painting, it wasn't like she was bragging after all, she was older then most there -well, almost most- and certainly painting/drawing more then the others. "Have a seat, I'll get some tea going. Just put that junk everywhere, I would say pardon the mess, but if your here more often you will have to get used to it." Gwin laughed running a hand lightly through her hair and looked around for the tea package, ... and the water.
kotatsunoda (5:24:08 PM): Remi raised an eyebrow. "Some kind of Jedi mind trick?" he asked humorously, but he knew what she was getting at. "You gotta be in a certain mental state to play violin, too. Perfectly relaxed." Grabbing a seat, he added "Tea! Excellent, glad to see someone around here likes a friendly face." He laughed at the mess comment, waving a hand. From the rumpled state his clothing and hair were always in, it wasn't likely that he was much cleaner. "It's colourful, I like it." he proclaimed, and added "Need help finding anything?"
ALovedTwilight (5:27:44 PM): Gwin: *shakes her head and smiles* I think I got it. -pulls up a dented, old tea pot and two -cracked, but other wise good- glasses* you should see alice's face when she comes in here, she gets a look like im raising ant farms in her nose. -pours water into the pot from a jug she found under the table and sets the old bugger on a camping stove- She must be pretty miffed at me right about now... I tend to dissappear when she needs me most. -shrugs- you know how it is, cant just sit still when there's so much you could be doing.
kotatsunoda (6:07:23 PM): Remi rolled his eyes, retorting, "Do I ever. She didn't sued to be so uptight, y'know, but now it seems like I can't wiggle my nose without making a politically unsound decision." He straightened up and raised a pinky, adjusting an invisible monocle and drawling "Remi started a war yesterday because he mentioned that he thought another cat's nose was rather large. Alice is simply devastated, and when asked to comment, hazarded that she was probably going to kill him when she was quite at her leisure." Leaning back in his chair again, he said, "I tell you, I'm an explorer, not a politician. I'm no good at this playing territories stuff. What about you?"
ALovedTwilight (6:13:49 PM): Gwin stared at him, trying to keep a straight face, but failed horribly. "same, I like to view the world, not be cooped up in a class room. If students want to come, fine, but if they don't they get the day off." She shrugged her shoulder, still grinning while pouring the water for the tea to steep and wandering back over to her painting of him. "in her defense she did deal with a lot of crap recently... but she holds so many of her feelings back, its kinda hard to belive she doesn't explode... I plan to be away when that happens mind you." Gwin looked out of the corner of her eye, her green observing his features and mixing the remaining colors in her mind.
"Im glad you came, I mean really... I have no idea why she scares everyone away from here." Gwin gestured, a grin lighting up her lips.
kotatsunoda (6:30:01 PM): He wrinkled hs nose at the thought of Alice exploding, saying, "Please, take me with you. I'm pretty sure that if you didn't, I'd be in the blast radius, so to speak." However, he sobered up at talk of classes and said, "Well, as long as I'm taking time out of my exploring schedule to teach the buggers, I expect them to show up, you know? If they don't, more violin practice for me, but unless they have a damn good reason, I'd reather just drop their lessons since they're obviously not taking violin seriously." He looked at her earnestly. "I'll be the first to admit that I'm a pretty flippant kinda guy, but violin is important to me. I'm not going to teach it to someone unless they show me they wanna learn, you know?"
ALovedTwilight (6:37:44 PM): Gwin nodded smiling to herself. "But thats just how I will know who is dedicated and who isn't, if they are willing to wander with me to observe life through a artist's eyes, then they aren't worth my time and might as well have the day off. Im not the class room type ya know?" She walked over to the counter and picked up the glasses, delicately handing one to him so that it didn't spill over the rim. After a sip of her own the female set it down next to him and wandered back to the painting, unsure of what it was that bothered her about it the most. Gwin was her worst critic sometimes, but she felt that she had royally screwed up somewhere.
kotatsunoda (7:11:06 PM): Remi grinned. "You're cooler than I am. I can't stand people who say they wanna play the violin then don't even bother working at it, it's one of the only things that can get on my nerves." He grimaced at the thought and added, "Not that I can do much about it if they don't wanna learn. But I can make it clear to them that if they don't wanna learn, I don't wanna teach." He accepted the tea with a quick "Thanks," and sipped at it gratefully. Regarding her as she made her proposal, he said "I'd accept! It's a handsome piece of work." Pausing, he asked, "What's the condition? I have to warn you that I don't have a firstborn child yet, so it can't be Rumplestiltskinesque."
ALovedTwilight (7:21:17 PM): -unfortunately- Gwin had taken another sip of tea when Remi had made the reference, and had to spit it back into her cup in order to not choke. "Oh no, I would never ask for something like that. I... want you to write/play a song for me. Thats it really. Art for art, and not the -first- child born from our minds." Gwin tapped her fingers on her chin, watching him with mix-matched eyes curiously, how would he feel about something like that... had he ever been asked something like that before?
Had she been too bold? ... probably, but oh well.
