After the encounter with the old Firekin, Tlaloc had hidden away to heal, picking at carrion to get by until he could hunt again. The scars twinged a bit, but he'd recovered sufficiently, he felt. At any rate, he was back to his old antics of humming and dancing a bit. Now, though, he skirted borders instead of taking a shortcut across the edge of a pride's territory. Which he did now. "Now as the summer fades, I let you slip away.. You say I'm not your type, but I can make you sway.. It makes you burn to learn you're not the only one, I'd let you be if you put down your blazing gun..."

Increasingly, Kizuka had sought refuge from the pride at the borders. Between her mother's inability to even touch her without predicting doom, and her father's over-eagerness to make up for this fact, she'd found herself overwhelmed. Out here, she found very little to bother her. Which was why she was surprised to hear someone singing. Following the sound, she soon found another lion, walking by the pride. Not through the lands, but around it. As she listened, she started to follow him, though not with as much quiet and skill as the last lion to do so.

"Now you've gone somewhere else far away, I don't know if I will find you... But you feel my breath on your neck, can't believe that I'm right behind you..." He noticed he was being followed this time. The lion following wasn't nearly as big or intimidating as the last one, but was in fact a bit small. And it was female... This made him smile for some reason. "'Cause you keep me coming back for more, and I feel a little better than I did before.. If I never see your face again, I don't mind... 'Cause we've gone much further than I thought we'd get tonight..." Had he hooked somebody on his travels?

She smiled getting into the music. Something HAD passed on from her father, it seemed... She went up to the lion, moving in time with him. "Sometimes you move so well, it's hard not to give in..." That was so true... She had given in to his dancing movements... "I'm lost, I can't tell where you end and I begin..."

"It makes me burn to learn you're with another man... I wonder if he's half the lover that I am!" So he HAD hooked someone! How far would she follow him, though? While recovering, he'd heard about a pride that had him curious... He wanted to see it, maybe stay there amid them. It seemed like his kind of place. Regardless, though, he kept going, heading in an Eastward direction. "Now you've gone somewhere else, I don't know if I will find you... But you feel my breath on your neck, can't believe I'm right behind you..."

He wasn't losing her that easily. Kizuka paused, looking back towards the Matembezi. She was silent for a moment, then followed after the male. "'Cause you keep me coming back for more, and I feel a little better than I did before... If I never see your face again, I don't mind. 'Cause we've gone much further than I thought we'd get tonight."

So she was going to follow him... That was all good and well, then. He wasn't wanting to travel ALONE... He'd explain later, before they got so far from the pride that she got lost or couldn't make it back safely. "Baby, baby, please believe me, find it in your heart to reach me, promise not to leave me behind... Take me down but take it easy, make me think but don't deceive me, torture me by taking your time..."

She was beginning to tire of the singing game, though his travel DID intrigue her. The lioness moved relatively quickly, jumping on the males back. "Enough games! I just want to know three things! Who are you, where are you going?" She didn't dig her claws in, not even extend them. There was no anger or malice in her actions. The peach-colored lioness just sat there, on the male's back, looking down at him and waiting for answers.

Tlaloc let out a surprised sound, collapsing to the ground. He winced just a bit before looking up at the female. "I'm Tlaloc, and I'm heading to a pride called the... Um..." What was it called again...? His tongue stuck out in thought, trying to remember what the rabbit had told him. "I think the rabbit called it the Kizingo'zaa..." He shook his head a bit, frowning. "I can remember the rabbit better than the pride! All green... Like jade..." Green eyes turned towards yellow. "What was your other question? And I should ask you who you are."

"Kizuka." She climbed off of the male's back, watching him. The Kizingo'zaa... A name like that sounded interesting, to say the least. She had no idea who the rabbit was that he'd mentioned, though. "I wanted the first two questions answered before my third. Can I come with you, Tlaloc?" It wasn't much of a request, but... She wanted to put distance between her, and most of her family. If she ran into someone remotely related, she'd be fine with it. It wasn't the whole PRIDE she was going to be related to.

He regarded the lioness for a moment, slowly pulling himself back to his paws. She wanted to follow him to a new pride. It wasn't just following a random singing rogue, but rather a journey she wanted to go on. After a moment, he nodded, "Okay. Just remember something while following me... These are the rogue lands we're in, not a pride's territory. There's prides out there that won't be so happy to see us, and a few that might even chase us away." He started walking, putting distance between him and the unknown pride's lands. "Some may physically attack and harm us. So be on your guard, and if I tell you not to go somewhere, don't go there. Okay?"

Kizuka nodded, padding after the male. "Of course..." She glanced around, wondering if something might pop out to get them. After a while, though, her suspicions about the world around them faded. She wondered why any pride would attack them, unless they were evil. It hadn't occured to her that not all prides were as promptly welcoming as the Matembezi or the Mwako. Regardless, she took Tlaloc's words to heart.
