In these times of great peril to the shinobi island it is more important than ever to keep a book with Shimagakure’s enemies and foreign terminology that could be of help. There is only one book at the moment kept with the new leader, but it is open for any shinobi to see. The enemies should be exterminated if possible or avoided and told to a ranking shinobi that can handle the job. As information develops on the enemy it will be placed here. Be aware of rank before hunting down these criminals.

Terminology
Black Spring – An event that happened at the end of spring in year 105. Within a span of a few days it seems as if the entire world became under attack. Men with strange masks in cowls and robes attacked different areas throughout the world. Shimagakure, samurai bases, HaHa Island, areas in Tonato, Kurara, and Oda.
Devil Water – A weird virus that has infected man and beast alike. It came from one of the masked figures and fell from him as if he was bleeding to death. It is a red violet with darker shade of bands of the same color. The substance is viscous and thick. When added to another liquid substance it completely merges with it and makes the liquid darker than normal. This makes it hard to detect, even for animals. During the attack on Shimagakure the lagoon and drinking areas were contaminated by the masked men. By the time it was figured out the Devil Water had begun to run its course. It was named by the locals after seeing the weird symbol that appears on the animals that are infected.
Devil Marked Sickness – Also known as DM Sickness, is the result of being exposed to Devil Water. Drinking it is the quickest way to get infected, but it seems that contact with the chemicals over a long period or massive amount of contact can infect a person or animal too. Physical contact through an animal bite or scratch may also spread the virus. It does not seem that inhaling the substance will cause infection, but there is no guarantee. There is a difference between animals and people infected. Animals show signs of mange for a few hours to a few days. This is part of the mutation that begins within. After the mange phase the animals generally mutate. Most common to all type of animals are a change in pigmentation which also includes red or violet spots or rings. The eyes usually turn to a cloudy white that may have red veins in the, but not all creatures show this. Other symptoms include high aggression in some species with mania. Cannibalistic tendencies seem to arise too. Surprisingly the infected species don’t seem to attack other infected animals of the same species.
It is not fully sure what happens when people are infected. All who have been infected in Shima have fallen into a coma, near death sleep. They constantly sweat and some appear to be having strong nightmares. Some have turned pale, while others have shown black markings on their skin.
RaV Serum Type 1.0 - An antibiotic created by the combined efforts of different clans including (but not only) the Hyuuga, Raiken, and Yamanaka clans. It isn't a cure, but more of substitute. It sends out signals so the virus from DM sickness attacks that instead of the cells of the body. When it is attacked it sticks onto the virus preventing it from moving to another target. Unfortunately this only works when the virus is in small doses. It can protect against a bite or scratch from an animal, but will not help against ingestion or full body contact of the virus. The small capsule has a blueberry flavor to it. Also comes in an injection version. Everyone has been given the RaV serum in Shimagakure. Sadly there isn't enough to go around for the rest of the mainland.
