dear friends,
years ago when i had just moved to a different city to go to college and i didn't have any friends, i spent far too much time in the library. one day as i was exploring some of the darker aisles i came across a dark brown leather-bound book - a journal - with heavily watermarked pages.
i figured some student had forgotten his 'dear diary' while studying. however, as i started to flip through it...i discovered it was no ordinary journal. pages had been ripped out, there were strange sketches in the page margins - shadowy objects. whole portions of the narrative inside were written in mirror writing - backwards, as if it had been turned inside out.
but more disturbing than all of this was what the story the journal contained. the author - a boy named peter - called it, "A Stone in a Stream".
