Physical Description: Hana has a very frail body that's sensitive to every kind of harmful thing. She can never stay out in the sun for too long or her skin will burn. Hana has cute little freckles on her cheeks, since just a little time in the sun brings them out. Her hair is brown with a small tint of natural red in it. She keeps it short, so she doesn't have to worry about it when she wakes up in the morning. Her eyes are an olive green color, which gives away the fact she's not a true born Yamanaka.
Clothing: Hana wears a pair of glasses that always sit on the tip of her nose and make her look like an old librarian. Hanabira wears long black stockings that go up to her knees. Underneath the stockings are shin guards to help protect her. She wears black shorts underneath a burnt orange pleaded skirt. For her shirt, she wears a long sleeved tanned cloth with a black sash around the waist to keep the shirt closed. Underneath the tanned cloth is ninja mesh, which covers her entire upper body and loops around her middle fingers.
Personality: Hana is very shy and usually keeps to herself. However, she tends to warm up to people who have kind hearts and gentle personalities quite fast. Her bashful ways makes everyone love her. Hana believes in trying your hardest since hearing the optimistic views of Tenmoki Aya. Hanabira may be quiet and usually passive, but once her heart is set on something, she will work her hardest to complete it.
Background: Childhood Hana was born in the Lightning Country, which is cold and rainy. The little girl couldn't live in those conditions as a child so her family moved to much warmer areas, where they met the Tategami clan. Hana admired their strength and will since they were attributes that the girl would never have. A woman of the Tategami clan, Shuga had always said that she was jealous of Hana's smarts and abilities to use genjutsu at such a young age. Hana liked the woman, but didn't like it when she drank. Hana's family didn't want their little girl to become a shinobi, so they refused Shuga's offer to take Hana with when she went to Shimagakure. However, the war that was in the fire country spread upwards to the lightning country and both of Hana's parents were killed in the battle. Hana was at her grandmother's at the time, so she remained safe. Her grandmother decided that it was best for Hana to go to Shimagakure instead of living with an old Haag for the rest of her youth.
Academy Student Hanabira was scared to go to Shimagakure at first, but when she arrived she was welcomed by warmth and happiness. A teacher at the Academy, Hide, took an interest in her and became her father figure. Hana often calls him Otou-Hide, which means Papa-Hide. Hana also made a good friend in the Academy who is of the Raiken clan. Hana looks up to Serena and tries to keep up with her when she can. There are also other students in the Academy, but Hana doesn't spend much time with the other students outside of class. Instead she spends her time in the Yamanaka Flower shop helping Kane-nii and Yamanaka Seiteki. She had a hard time with the physical activities at school, which the teachers took note of. Hanabira struggled for close friends and good scores.
The happy world in which Hanabira struggled in, soon became a little darker when a messenger from Tonato came with a double-sided face. Hanabira was kidnapped and taken prisoner in a strange house. She refused to eat and received a few beatings, but she tried her hardest not to cave in and lose hope. Hanabira knew that Kane and Hide would come to her rescue, which they did. However, Hanabira's life was given back to her at a price; Hide. During the struggle in which the shinobi of shimagakure; Kane, Hide, Maya, Baki and Sayu, tried to defeat Shiyue and his guards, Hide was thrown off a cliff, taking the last of the Shiyue line down with him. Hanabira was absolutely devastated by her adoptive father's death. Hanabira clung to Kane and came a bit closer to him while she stayed in the hospital. She met a boy while staying in the hospital. His name was Shin, a boy from her school a grade below her, but a year older. He was funny, sweet and nice. He invited Hanabira to the Harvest Festival and she spent time with him, enjoying every moment. Shin helped Hana climb over the heaping mountains of pain that were in her heart from losing Hide.
Hanabira spent more and more time with Shin and through Shin, the girl met Tanu. At first Hanabira didn't like the girl at all and feared her. Their fist day together was a doozy as Hanabira literally ran away from the girl and twisted her ankle. With Shin's helping hand and Tanu's change of heart, the Kun 'Kumo apologized to Hanabira and they continued training together even bringing Kazuma into the group. Hanabira had felt that she didn't have very many friends, but at the night of the Festival Dinner, the girl re-united with all those she met in the Academy and found that she had not only friends, but a family outside of the Yamanakas.
Timeskip Years 103 and 104 The village had been preparing for an all out war on the shores of Shimagakure against the Meho clan. Hanabira was scared to face such enemies and hesitant to go up against people that were stronger than she. However, Hanabira stood with her families at the edge of the shorelines and aided as best as she could. It was at this time that Hanabira's talent with genjutsu came through and her clones proved to be a great distraction to the Meho's while those with physical strength and ninjutsu knocked them down. Two people that Hanabira worked closely with were Karite and Orika. They were both so strong physically, that Hanabira's shadows of deceit were a great help to her friends. However, the war did not go so sweetly for Hanabira. The way that the Meho's fought was extremely barbaric and not something the young girl could stomach. Hanabira's stomach churned and she fell ill during the war.
Having been sent home, Hanabira was no longer fighting to protect Shimagakure, but her friends were now fighting to protect her. An unseen break in their defenses came about and a few Meho snuck into the village. During her sleep, Hanabira was awoken by the screams of Seiteki. Racing down the stairs with her high fever, Hanabira's olive eyes laid witness to the gutting of a woman that had been called mother since Hanabira arrived in Shimagakure. Hanabira was unable to react and nearly died herself against the Meho, but the braveness of the Tategamis shined brightly that night as Baki and Maya came into the flowershop to eliminate the Meho's that broke through the barrier. Traumatized once again, Hanabira locked herself in her room for weeks on end as she cried herself to sleep almost every night...
There was more than thankfulness in everyone's heart as the Meho war ended, but many funerals were to be had. Hanabira attended students, her foster mother's and even Tokiha Mai's funeral. It was at this time that Hanabira came even closer to Shin and leaned on him in this time of sorrow. It took a strong mind for Hanabira to pull herself out of her wrecked state, but with Shin's kind heart, it was an easy thing to do. The boy was much more strong minded around Hanabira and she was falling for his charm. It didn't take Shin long to ask Hanabira out on a date and soon enough the two teens were a couple. The girl had almost forgot all about training and aspiring to become a genin when Karite and Orika approached Hanabira to invite them to their squad with Tategami Maya as their hopeful leader. It seemed like a perfect promise. Hanabira was prepared to teach the jutsu that Karite needed and cheer for Maya as she went off to the Chunin exams. Hanabira also apologized to Tenmoki Aya, since the young Yamanaka had always dreamed that she would some day be in Aya's squad, but her path has led her elsewhere.
During a recall from a mission, Hanabira's squad boat sunk. Due to a heavy head injury and dehydration, Hanabira has a suffered amnesia. She does not know Shimagakure. She does not know her brother, family or remember her loyalty to anyone. Her persona is slightly different and Shimagakure is a new land to her.

-Techniques-

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.

Special: If Clone technique is successful you may use sneak attack onto your following attack if it coincides with the technique.
Special: If opponent fails the sense/detect check and you choose to fight alongside with your clones, opponent rolls an additional "Luck" dice with their attack. This dice does not count towards their total dice roll. For them to hit you amongst all the clones, they must roll a 11 or higher. If they succeed +Luck Roll to next sense/detect roll against technique.
Special: 1 Bunshin per 5 Ranks control.

Transformation Technique [Henge no Jutsu]
This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu. It is in fact, a genjutsu. The look a feel of the object they transform into is just a trick of the mind.

Kawaii no jutsu [Cuteness Technique] Invented, but not learned.
The user of this technique has perfected pulling at people's heart strings by using cute looks and adorable faces. They use their genjutsu to accent cute features such as watery eyes, pouty lips, sakura pinks cheeks and soft baby like giggles. It's a combination of sight and sound that allows the user to put on that adorable act in order to get what they want.

A basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy, this jutsu allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. This is done by using your chakra to make your body more flexible to slip out of the bonds. This can also be used to help yourself escape grapples.

Great Long Ranged Technique [Dai-Kyori Nagai no jutsu] {Invented, needs to be learned.}
The user concentrates chakra to their eyes, focusing them for viewing long distances. As long as there are no obsticles obstacles blocking their view, the user will be able to see an opponent far far away. While also concentrating chakra to their eyes, they also are concentrating chakra to their hands. As their hands hold the arrow, their bow and their eyes pinpoint their the target. The user will release their arrow infused in wind chakra to fly steadily towards the target.
CP Cost: 60 per arrow

Requirements: Detect 40, Ranged 40, Control 30, Ninjutsu 10

Physical Description:
The most noticeable thing about Akiko is her height: she is surprisingly short. She stands at about 4 feet even and couldn’t weigh more than 60 pounds. For her height, though, she doesn’t seem particularly slim or wide. Her skin is mostly colorless; a very slight tan prevents it from seeming white. Pale, wisp-like hair reaches down just past her jaw, ending in two beveled lines. It frames her face with stark, straight lines that emphasize the lack of a prominent cheekbone. Her face is otherwise round, almost heart-shaped toward the chin. Her face is that of someone three years younger than she, and it has grown somewhat dreary. Lifeless, pale blue eyes dominate the canvas of her face.

Clothing:
Akiko usually wears oversized, bold-colored ribbons and bows in her hair; their color varies from day to day. She wears a variety of fine dresses, hand-me-downs in quite good condition. Recently, she has taken to deep, rich colors embroidered painstakingly with metallic thread and beads. The dresses are cut long, sometimes with long, burdensome sleeves; she doesn't seem to mind, though. The material is very light, catching the slightest breeze and fluttering about wildly. Fancy, woven leather sandals adorn her feet.

Personality:
Akiko is very reserved and shows little interest in friendship with others. She isn’t particularly ambitious, as she usually puts in the minimum amount of effort to successfully complete a task. She deals with failure by denying its importance and ignoring it. She especially doesn’t care for talking about her feelings, and she usually responds with stonewalling and avoidance. She simply isn’t ready to deal with the loss of her father, and her station in life has thus far prevented her from doing so.

Though she might not go out of her way for someone, she does work and play well with others, so long as they don’t ask too many personal questions. If it were up to her, she’d much rather be alone or in the company of two or three others. Being alone helps her relax and improve her mood somewhat, but large crowds make dread being asked too many questions. She usually gets tense when surrounded by others.

Again, Akiko isn’t easy to motivate. Success doesn’t bring her any satisfaction other than not failing, and normal hobbies and interests don’t do much for her. Instead, she relies on her observational skills and takes pleasure in very minute things. The dance of a flickering candle and the resulting glow, the sound rocks make when skipped across a pond, and the smell of grass right after a rainstorm are but a few examples of Akiko’s “interests”.

Background:
Mori Akiko was born in a small village in a forest. Her father worked as a trader and, due to the nature of his business, had to travel frequently. Occasionally, he’d take her and her mother along, if he expected to stay in the area for an extended time. She didn’t know much about his business except that he always had the best prices and availability. It almost seemed magical to her how he could predict how the market would move. She had great reverence for both him and his business.

In the year 95, Akiko’s father caught wind of a new village being formed and decided to capitalize on their looming needs. He picked up a great wealth of supplies, gathered his family, and boarded a ship to the new isle. Once they arrived, he bought a large wagon and journeyed the rest of the way to the town. As expected, his business was quite successful, to the point where he seemed to have on hand exactly what the village needed. Seasons passed, and Akiko adapted to her new environment. In those days, she was happy, almost always having a goofy grin plastered over her face. Yet, this pleasant start to life would not last.

In the next year, her father was accused of theft and espionage. He met them back at the hotel and told them to take everything and run. He promised Akiko that he would see them again just outside the city gates. Alas: it never came to pass. Throughout the night, Akiko waited impatiently, growing more and more anxious as the hours crawled along. Her mother was worried too, at first, but eventually she lost hope and began planning how to survive for the rest of their lives. Akiko would have none of this, though: she knew her father had to be out there somewhere. So, why did he never come?

Over the years, the surviving females tried to eke out an honest living. For years, Midori tried to keep them both alive by working whatever odd jobs the village still trusted her to do and living out of the family wagon. As time went by, their situation seemed to grow more and more hopeless. Akiko’s father could not be found, and life was growing harder by the day. Akiko abandoned her attempts to relocate her father, deeming them futile. She lost her hope and ambition, and her only purpose in life was to get through it. Sensing her daughter’s frustrations, Mori Midori sought out some means to provide a better life for her daughter. Swallowing her pride, she realized she would have to return to the house of her older sister, Tenmoki Yuki. After that, she would see about sending her daughter off to the Ninja Academy so Akiko would not have to live the life of a pauper.

As it so happened, Yuki was more than happy to take in both mother and child. However, there were a few conditions for their residence and existence. First, they had to shed Midori's marriage name and formally join the Tenmoki clan. Second, as Yuki was required to spend more and more time away from her home life, Midori stepped in to care for the still young Ayumi. Midori also tended to the house and acted as a maid of sorts, against even the wishes of Yuki. Meanwhile, Akiko was to be raised as a proper lady. This was an arduous task, as she had already spent years on the streets where she had no use for such frivolities. Still, she put in a respectable effort, even though she didn't seem particularly enthused. In time, she picked up on etiquette and ceremony, becoming a refined young woman.

When Tenmoki Aya returned from the mainland, she began to introduce Akiko to the shinobi ways. Akiko listened intently, marveling especially at the concept of chakra and its various applications. To Akiko, Aya was both a friend and a mentor. In time, Akiko began to hang on her every word. Regrettably, Aya's duties demanded that she leave again. Before she parted, though, she passed on some intricate clothing as well as a secret--a new technique that Aya was researching. Akiko was very grateful for these gifts, but for the first time since her father's disappearance, she felt sorrowful for the loss of her relative. What's more, now that Aya had filled her head with all these thoughts of ninjutsu, Akiko dearly wanted to learn more. After a while, Yuki began to pick up on Akiko's curiosity and, on the insistence of Midori, suggested that Akiko enroll in the Academy. In a matter of hours, Akiko was on the road to becoming a ninja.

The user focuses their chakra and spreads it out in a thin layer around the base of their feet. As their chakra flows out in a soft breeze throughout the circle, anything that obstructs it forms a unique pattern like a rock hitting water. The user is far more aware of enemies that could sneak up on them and of objects that may be hidden. Since the user is set in concentrating their chakra, if attacked, they must drop the technique in order to defend themselves.

Body Replacement Technique [Kawamiri no Jutsu]
This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique. If the technique is successful you can use sneak attack to attack your target.

All the piercings have kind of like a spike made of wood he places in them, kind of Fang shaped.

Personality: Seshiro has grown quite a lot in personality and Changed drastically. From that naive simple kid he was his mind has been wandering a bit and he seems out of focus. It is as if he were constantly listening to someone whispering in his ear. He seems explosive and Somewhat Bipolar. He suffers now from an extreme case of split personality in which in one second he is calmed and high like, and then suddenly he is his Id, animalistic, Angry, violent and cruel. Even when speaking to other people he seems to pay little attention to anything, as if his whole being had been lost in meditation.

Background: Born in the Orochi clan,Sent for tow years along with his brother To shima only to find himself in the middle of a war. He spent his days with the Tenmoki family as one of their one. His snake like abilities arose from an accident with a snake which turned out to be planned by his own eldest brother. Thorn by all the facts he learned and lusting for power to protect those he loved. He placed a forbidden seal from another clan on himself causing his split personality. After the war he got lost in the explosion and was Captured by the now Anti-shinobi Rice country's Government. He is in jail to this day.

Seshiro being incarcerated dedicated himself to training. Although it has proven to be quite difficult for him he has kept on no matter what. During the two years he had to endure poor feeding, whippings and abuse from the guards but he kept going. Creating a great bond with The old man in the cell next to his, Iago, he has learned a lot on the ways of old and the codes of Honor. After the announcement of the Earth Country's tournament The Rice's Daimyo chose Seshiro to go and fight. It was simply because he was the youngest and the best in shape to fight from all the prisoners. Although the Plans of the Rice Lord are simply to see Seshiro die on the fights, Seshiro is planning all the possible ways in which he could escape. And those his days have passed between training and planning...

However, the moment they are bothered, they will wake and the healing process will be incomplete.

Fuin Ryoko - Jio Invented FORBIDDEN
The Jio's invented this technique in hopes to better their physical strength. Its a seal that works on the whole body system. When placed on a person this seal grants incredible power but also at a high cost. The power flow is so great that it can damage the person physically while under use. The seal opens up when activated and tends to spread across the body. No seal has the same design for the seal takes up on the characteristics of the person it is placed upon. Considered a forbidden technique for the risks it represents.

Orochi Etoku no Jutsu- ( Medusas grasp technique)

The jutsu uses one's chakra to move their dreadlocks in a serpentine way. The dreadlocks will take on the appearance of snakes as they lash out to grab hold of their target. The user must be at a close range in order to utilize this technique effectively.

Body Replacement Technique [Kawamiri no Jutsu]
This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique. If the technique is successful you can use sneak attack to attack your target.

Genjutsu

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.

Special: If Clone technique is successful you may use sneak attack onto your following attack if it coincides with the technique.

Transformation Technique [Henge no Jutsu]
This jutsu allows the user to assume the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Ninja Academy. Fundamentally, all ninja know this jutsu. It is in fact, a genjutsu. The look a feel of the object they transform into is just a trick of the mind.

Unanswered Prayer’s
Genjutsu that targets the opponents hearing sense. The target has the illusion of hearing thousands of voices, as close as the targets ears and as far as yards away at the same time, creating a confusion making it incredibly hard to make out other sounds, thus making the target confused and vulnerable. The target is unable to communicate with other squad members since all other voices are blocked out.

Description of Clan: The Yamanaka jutsu are built around the ability to control and enter one's mind. Renowned for their espionage skills, with their signature clan jutsu of Shinranshin no Jutsu they are valuable as support. But that's not to say that they can't hold their own in a fight.

Physical Description: Kane is frankly quite hot. He has the body of your dreams and mine. It's lithe and toned in all the right places, but not too bulky! His skin is tan due to increased time spent outside in the sun. Due to his growth as a ninja, puberty as well as his efforts to keep training, Kane has matured into a well-built man. He's not Mr. Muscles by any means, but he has kept his slender figure. He's not a giant however and stands at around 5'9". His hair has also darkened into a sandy blonde. Kane also now looks rougher than before, not just physically but also emotionally.
He has perfect blond hair, thin, and shiny like the morning sun. It is straight and reaches the nape of his neck. His fringe sweeps to his left and overall his hair is quite tapered to his skull and not spiky like other shinobi of the village... He has clear teal eyes but on very bad days or when faced with something that puts him in a bad mood they darken quite dramatically. Normally though, his eyes are big and honest, though tinged with a hint of sadness. He can always be found with a small smile on his face.

Clothing: Kane has dropped many of his previous city opinions on fashion and has embraced a simpler method of dress. This is not to say that he looks like a slob, however. He can be found in a T-shirt and loose-fitting 3/4-pants, coupled with sandals. The pattern and colour of the T-shirt change regularly, as do his pants, obviously (he still makes sure they match though), but the general look of Kane remains the same. When the weather is cold, Kane adds on a jacket that emphasizes the contours of his body quite nicely. He's also forgone the gaudy gem of his past from his left ear and in its place is a small stud. tl;dr, Kane looks amazing despite his casual style of dress.

Personality: Age 18: The Meho War has further shaped Kane's personality. Although before that he had been trying to forge relationships with people of the village, even accepting an interview from the Shimagakure paper (where he found out to his surprise that he actually had a fanclub), the death of his mother and his subsequent depression reversed that completely with only a few exceptions. Kane came out permanently changed. Although he still retains his calm cheerfulness (whether it's genuine is a matter for debate, though), his observations and jokes have become darker than before. Kane has also gained a newfound appreciation for black humour, although he's not enough of a joker nor a snark to use it often. His relative helplessness also has brought out another aspect of his personality: his doormat-ness. Kane's inferiority complex, brought on from years of losing to physically more able shinobi as well as a feeling of apathy about it, dating from his early teens, resulted in him having a low opinion of his ninja abilities (now, his social skills on the other hand... Kane can be quite a player when he wants to be...). All in all, Kane at age 18 is complicated. One side of him is affectionate, warm, cheerful and caring. Another side of him is bleak, dark and depressed. Kane oscillates in between the two depending on mood and who he's talking to. One thing that remains constant, however, is him always putting the needs of others over his own.

Background: Kane was the younger brother born to the fourth generation of Yamanaka in the mainland. Like Hide he attended the academy and although he wasn't first he was constantly in the top five, excelling mostly in taijutsu. He graduated at the age of 12 and has been a genin since, though he is getting closer to chuunin level. Like Hide, Kane had figured out that something was up with their family, what with the drunk mother and absentee father and all. However he had somewhat denied it, only finally semi-accepting it when Hide's friends had gotten killed and when they'd had to evacuate asap. He realized that he was gay at around the age of 13 and has had a few flings, although no serious boyfriend as of yet! He hopes that will change! When he first reached Shima he found the people of Shima way too happy and almost like a hippie branch of ninja. His childhood and training was nowhere near as pleasant after all.

In his first year in Shima he lived a pretty normal life, for a teenage boy anyway. He met Orochi Sachiriku when he had been visiting his mother in the clinic (Sachiriku was sexing up Yuki at that time). Kane liked Sachiriku a lot because he was funny, and learned to look beyond appearances. It was around this time that his brother Hide adopted a young girl called Hanabira into their family. Kane took to her, although she seemed a lot closer to his brother, and soon she became an integral part of his family. After Mission Tonato and Hide's death he was devastated. This was the brother that had practically raised him and protected him from anything that would hurt him. However, after seeing how his family was affected, Kane snapped out of his funk, partly due to a sense of guilt and duty. He was the man of the family after all and had to take care of his mother and sister now. With his new role would come a new set of expectations of him, and he actively decided to get stronger for the first time in his life which had previously involved just depending on his brother and family and living more for indulgent entertainments than altruism and principles.

However, his next mission in the Orochi village in Rice Country was to be for him a complete, personal failure. Not to mention that it was a failure for the village too, practically. The Kage (Ichi) disappeared, Sachiriku and all the Orochis that he'd grudgingly come to respect had betrayed them all and Kane found his beliefs shaken. The loss of his Kage was a huge shock, not only to him but to everyone else. It's Kane's opinion that the village hasn't been the same since. He also found out various things about himself, like the fact that he's stronger than he thinks he is and also the fact that maybe girls are quite sexy after all. [blame Tenmoki Yuki and his first memory of Shimagakure]

On his 16th birthday, his mother gave him a dao, a traditional Yamanaka family dao in fact. Kane received it with pride and still holds it to this day. His 16th year was somewhat of a hallmark year. It was the year in which he recognized his deficiencies in the art of fighting and decided to improve, after a two-year slump. Although those two years could never be brought back, Kane managed to make up for them a little as he trained every day and participated, albeit unprominently, in village events. Instead of the winner he would always be third or fourth place. Instead of the main flag bearer he would always be some background performer. This suited Kane's personality, mellowed by years of life in Shimagakure, just fine, however, and he continued on without complaint at the simple life that had replaced his previously exciting city life. He occasionally wondered about his father and how he was doing on the mainland, but since that subject was distasteful he more often than not dropped it in favour of training or reading a bit more. Kane also befriended Nara Shinobu after a few years of scepticism. He had first met the kid after the Tonato incident and had thought, in the spirit of true brotherly protectiveness, that the boy would not end up treating Hanabira seriously. However, he was happily proven wrong. Another boy that Kane got to know more was Rin'negan Rokugi, although it was more of a student-mentor relationship. Kane was fascinated by the boy's interesting background and potential. Kane also met Orochi Shisei around this time, although the meeting didn't turn out well because Kane came out of it feeling decidedly that Shisei thought little of him.

The easygoing pattern Kane had established in his life was turned on its head by the Meho war (Summer of Year 103?). Kane found himself a regular member of the frontlines, thanking the fact that he had trained so much before it because that was probably what saved his life. He took his first life in the battle and it had the expected effect on him. Kane lost some part of his innocence, although the age (16) at which he lost it was probably more worth noting that its actual loss. It wasn't often that a ninja was allowed to be so lax during these turbulent times after all. The Meho war would also prove to be life-changing in another way. After a particularly harrowing fight, Kane returned home to find it dark and trashed and reeking of the metallic smell of blood instead of the lilting aroma of flora. A quick inspection of the house would result in nothing. Kane will never forget the panic he felt at the absence of the two people most precious to him, his relief at seeing Hanabira safe and his anguish and guilt upon hearing of his mother's death. Neither will he forget the helplessness he felt when he couldn't coax Hanabira out of her room and comfort her in the weeks following the tragedy, the meals he'd had to eat alone.

This poisonous mixture of guilt and horror and helplessness eventually manifested into anger as Kane blamed the obvious target: not Dhan, no; Kane barely knew him when he was alive. Instead he blamed Shinichi. Kane had never been impressed with the way Shinichi had led Shimagakure and eventually his feelings were so bitter that he made no secret of being more loyal to (the idea of) Ichi. Even though Shinichi made a show of staying in his home, perhaps out of a feeling of guilt (that Kane thought was justified) or whatever it was, Kane didn't care. For the rest of the war, Kane was unrestrained, acting thoughtlessly and even cruelly towards the weak children that the Mehos sent forward. After the war, however, Rokugi acted as a mediating influence before these feelings could spur the normally calm and level-headed Yamanaka into going against the village somehow. His Buddhist ideals heavily influenced Kane and caused his anger to abate from murderous levels, although it didn't get rid of it. Kane's resentment towards Shinichi was still high and it was only professionalism that prevented Kane from speaking out against him. Due to Rokugi, however, Kane was able to return somewhat back to his former self, although now with an extra level of darkness.

The amount of time and effort spent waging war against his inner demons took time that could have been used for training, and regretting that, Kane started to train again. Everything seemed to return to normal as the village started to rebuild. He attended funerals and tried to ignore the resentment in his mind. Kane's opinion of himself plummeted after the war due to his losses, and therefore he was extremely surprised when Shin approached him, asking him to lead their squad. Kane had never met the other students formally, but despite that, he accepted. Shin may not have known it, but that request had been interpreted as Kane as a show of confidence from someone that was not family or Rokugi. He was extremely heartened at this and put his mind into training in order to prepare for the chuunin exams and become as good an instructor as he could possibly be.

Kane hates the colour red for many reasons, with it being the colour of blood, and also being the colour associated most prominently with a certain village personality being among the top ones. His favourite colour is sky blue because he likes to look at the sky.

This technique is usually used to surprise the opponent when they are clueless to your where abouts. You must successfully dodge an attack to hide underground afterwards. A cloud of smoke will cover your trails when you dodge.

Earth Release: Earth Shore Return [Doton: Doroku Gaeshi] [NEED TO FULFILL REQUIREMENTS]
After striking the ground with his hands, the user creates a large wall of earth that rises into place as defense. The defense is not perfect though, since a hard or drilling impact can puncture the wall. This technique is purely made for blocking attacks, especially those of water and fire affinity.

Allows the user to enter a target's mind, taking control of their body and senses. Known normally as a spying Jutsu, it can also be used in battle although with many drawbacks. The user's spirit travels not as quickly though, making it somewhat easy to dodge. If the spirit does happen to miss, the user's body will be left as an empty vessel for a few minutes, hence, leaving it wide open to an attack. There's no guarantee that, even if the technique does work, it can last for more than two to three minutes. When the user is inside of the target's body, any damage that is inflicted on the target will also be caused upon on their original body, therefore, if the target dies, so shall the user.

Physical Description: Seiko stands at 6'7” weighing in at almost 190 lbs. He has very tanned skin and very low cut black hair that is lowly spiked out everywhere. On the back of his neck is a tattoo of a panther very small but still noticeable done in red ink. Something that stands out is his sunset eyes from the rest of his gentle features. His arms are smaller then they should be giving him the look of a weak person, he is very bendy though. Across his right eye is a scar.
Clothing: Seiko wears no shirt, but instead a rather long gray trench coat with the sleeves ripped off. Around his hands and forearms is a black cloth like substance. He uses it to cover the tattoo's he has collected along his travels outside of the earth country. He wears a long pair of comfortable gray pants and a pair of waraji sandals. Most times he will walk around barefoot if it is a good day. Tied around his hip is a small gourd of saki. While he drinks little and often, Seiko is quite the light weight. Around his neck dangles a silver charm, a ying symbol, where the other piece is is to be determined.
Personality: Seiko finds human life to be nothing worth more than a simple laugh. He is a shinobi who strictly follows the assassins teachings. He has a pure hatred for life and he finds children to be scum. He does not speak much and finds himself in constant thought more than conversation. Seiko is usually found with his arms crossed sitting near water. If he is not sitting he is in it. Water is a calming thing for Seiko and it brings his thoughts together to form a full picture. Seiko can be found training his mind or his jutsu, if not there he is found training his accuracy with a tanto.
Background: Seiko, was born in the Earth Country, ever since a young age he was trained to be an assassin, a hired weapon. He feels no emotion for his prey, but more for himself after the deed has been done. Being known to pray over his victims bodies to multiple gods, he has never failed to complete a job set before him. Soon rising through the ranks of the Earth Countries top killers he was asked to become a shinobi for the royal family. Where, under the queens watchful eye, was forced to show mercy to all those he called enemies. When Shimagakure had become under attack Seiko knew he would be sent sooner or later. When the queen asked for a volunteer to help rebuild shima and lead it to a safe future in these dark times Seiko jumped at the chance. Not being able to stand working in such a merciful kingdom any longer. On his travel to Shima, Seiko decided to take a longer route to see how much damage to the world has been done. Along the way he has picked up a few markings hidden all over his body. Some for kills, some for places he had been, others just for fun.

Personality
: Kore is a playful lion. He enjoys wrestling and getting into trouble. Being with his partner and brother as he views him Karite. He has grown to enjoy hunting and fighting. Around people outside of his family he is hostile and will grow when anyone gets to close. The warming up phase is rough, but after that hump you couldn’t ask for a better friend. Don’t leave food out around kore, or you wont be getting it. The cub grew into a theif of sorts as well. Kore can be seen in the lagoon often, he enjoys the waterfall. Unlike most of the Tategami Karite and Kore enjoy bathing.

Background: Kore was in the jungles surrounding Tonato. His mother was killed by poachers and he was taken in by Tategami Shuga while she was over seas. Along with his twin sister, Ruha, Kore was brought to Shimagakure in order to live on the Tategami grounds with the Clan. Kore and Ruha were both given sedatives and don't remember the trip to Shimagakure, but they do remember waking up to fresh food and loving humans hands. Once coming to Shimagakure he was entrusted to Tategami Karite. From there on trouble was the only thing he saw himself in. As the years grew and the Tategami’s grew as a family they learned to train together and hunt together. Kore is now a fierce hunter and close friend to Karite. Often not seen far away from the boy if he is watch your plates. Kore is well known throughout the village as the next in line to the Tategami pride after Maya and Baki. Kore is only interested in his next hunt, his next fight, his next meal, and his friend and family. Other than that Kore does not bother with it. When the Meho arrived, Kore and Karite built on their teamwork and worked well together but while Karite was Protecting others Kore ended up surrounded by a group of Meho's. Fighting for his life Kore received a scar on his head before he was saved by Baki and Maya.

On his cheek there is a Scar known as the mark of shame from where Maya Tategami carved into his skin. He has very tan skin with a brown caramel complexion. He is very muscular and well toned do to his Tategami lifestyle and tyrant of a older sister Maya. He weighs somewhere around 180 lbs and is as tall as 5’8”. On his right pec is the symbol of shimagakure tattooed into him, and on the right the Tategami clan symbol.
Clothing: Karite being of the tategami clan does no wear much clothing, but keeping ties to his secret past he continues to wear certain charms. Karite wears no shirt, he likes the feel of the elements on his bare skin. Being sane, he wears normal full length pants, mostly seen in martial arts dojo’s. He enjoys these because of there freedom and mobility to let him breath. He wears a silver necklace with a dangling emblem. One earring of a kunai dangling on a chain from his right ear. He wears two Braclets of red colored steel on his wrist. He wears a pair of black leather gloves.
Personality: Karite is a very kind hearted boy, he however has a very dark side. Known for now being able to control his emotions Karite only has two faces. One is his normal always smiling care free face. This is the only face he has during every day activities and meet and greets with people. During battle, Karite seems to shift, having the inner habit of letting his full hair down and flow with him his smile turns more sadastic as if giving and receiving pain is one joy at the moment. Karite is a theif and he enjoys stealing from people, he will never steal anything of value from the people of shimagakure he has sworn to protect. However food and other meaning less things are often found missing when Karite strolls through town. One of Karite's biggest things is heights. His enjoyment of flipping from roof to roof has gotten him known by all. Karite’s shadow is seen more by the villagers than he is. If you need to find Karite your best bet is to look up.
Background: Karite won his title as a Tategami over the years under Maya’s care. Maya finally accepted him and gave him such title. With time Karite grew into a strong young man and he began to call Maya Nii-chan or big sister. As time drew near Karite had fallen in love with Orika. His love for her made Kore jealous sometimes but Karite knew the lion would grow to like her. His training has consisted of working with weapons of all sorts, but he found his niche in staffs and long range. He aspires to use many more weapons in the future but Maya’s heavy taijutsu training keeps him busy. During the off time. Karite taught Maya how to read. She was a quick learner and together they began to decipher and study the Tategami clan jutsus. His ties with people have only grew stronger as he was always in a pleasant competion with people. Shin and hana were a good couple with a little nudge from Karite. Shin was and will be a good friend of his for a long time. Karite has also been close with the Raikens and Ibazi since his coming of the island. Always trying to pick a quick sparring match with Sorri and Serena. He enjoys fighting for he believes it brings people closer together.

As war ravaged on in shimagakire against the Meho Karite earned his stripes. Never running from a fight and working hard to safe as many lives as he could he held no remorse for taking a meho life. As he did so he found himself working close with Orika and Hana. Hana being a very shy girl he was surprised how well she handled herself on the battlefield and found a new respect for her as a warrior. From then on Hana had become something of a sempai teaching him jutsu. Leaving the fight a little more scarred than usual Karite was proud to say he was a shinobi that day. However come to his light Kore had suffered another injury without his knowing. The scar on Kore’s forehead and shoulder are a constant reminder of why he must get stronger. Karite has given up on his past and fully immersed himself in the village,

Physical Description: After two years Kiba is still much the same physically. His hair is still just as brown and untamed and his eyes are still just as dark. He still wears the black lightening bolts under his eyes and always will as they are now permanent tattoos. He is now about 5'9" and more mature looking. Over the years since he came to the village he has trained hard particularly on his physic. Much of his “bay fat” that he once still had traces of left are now gone and the muscles of his arms have developed considerably with notably prominent forearms.

Clothing: For the sake of being a more practical ninja Kiba has ditched his conspicuous yellow shirt for a more subtle black sleeveless shirt. He still wears bandages wrapped up until his elbows, but has replaced much of the rest of his attire. He proudly has his sheathed dao held securely in place horizontally right above his buttocks by his belt. He wears white pants that stop right below his knees and that are partially covered by a pair of greaves he wears over his lower legs that stop right before his traditional ninja sandals. He hopes to soon compliment this outfit with a ninja head band.

Personality: Still as confident as ever Kiba still misses his father greatly, but has been greatly helped with the new friendships he was forged while in Shimagakure. Background: Raiken Kiba Miyazaki was born in the northern Fire Country. His father Miyazaki Sanjushi was a samarai for a local lord who made his living clearing out thugs. His mother, who's maiden name was Raiken Sakura, died in childbirth. It's from her that he would later discover he inherited the unique Raiken blood-line limit. When Kiba was only nine his father was killed by the very feudal lord who had hired him. Kiba's father was too expensive for the feudal lord. It was Kiba's uncle who took Kiba and fled with him on a ship bound for the Land of Waves. On the way there Kiba's ship was overtaken by pirates who killed his uncle and all others aboard. They spared Kiba when they discovered he was the same boy some feudal lord in the Fire Country had a reward out for. The pirates brought Kiba back to their hideout. Kiba was trapped there for about a week when the pirate lair was sacked by Shimagakure ninja. One of the ninja was of the Raiken Clan and brought Kiba back to Shimagakure. After the Kage decided to allow Kiba to live in the village Kiba began living and training with the Raiken Clan. In this clan he finally found something he had lacked all his life-friends, people who cared about him. While Kiba strives to learn to use his blood-line limit to the best of his abilty he also has another dream. He wishes to one day become the best swordsman in the villiage. This is perhaps his way of getting closer to the father he feels he never loved enough when his father was alive.
Having been in the village for a little while now Kiba has developed his sword skills a bit. He greatly desires the aid of the weapon shop owner Hammah. He also has a bit of a rivalry with Tanu...
Time Skip:
A lot of things can happen in two years, especially when there is a war. One of the most significant for Kiba is probably the evolution of his relationship with Tanu. Gradually Kiba himself had been feeling his feelings of dislike towards her turning into ones of respect. This process was greatly accelerated, however, when she told him that she felt much the same way towards him. No longer did Kiba see Tanu as an enemy, but as a respected rival. Sure there were still more heated moments between the two, but such exists between the closest of friends at times. Over the two years Kiba has also been quite excited by the progress on the Raiken Mansion that has been made. Still, the strained relations with the samurai have caused him concern, though he feels no doubt of his own loyalty to Shimagakure. His friendships have helped him get over his father’s death, but now he also sometimes wonders of the fate of his old hero, Jintachi. What he thinks about most for the time being, though, is about finally becoming a genin.

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.

A wooden replica of a sword, also known as a bokuto (wooden sword). It is very widely used as a training weapon, and sometimes by people who do not want to kill their opponent. Mostly made of traditional oak wood and made of the same weight as a real sword to give it the same momentum.

1 Dao
The Dao is a single edge sword much like a saber or scimitar. These sword are relatively light and fast, leading to greater maneuverability than other swords of its length. Some ninja also use a dual pair of these swords to confuse an enemy. They are truly one sword split in two. The user of the Dao are agile and strong.

Raiken Staff
The Raikens have their own unique staff which, in combination with their unique limits, can only truly be wielded by their clan. This staff is unique in it's design in that it can split into various weaponry, and the additions it gets later on make it even more dangerous. The standard staff looks like a regular body length staff, but is hollow on the inside because, since it is made of a highly conductive metal, it would otherwise be too heavy to effectively wield. It is traditionally yellow with black at the ends. This standard staff is presented to all Raikens who reach the level of genin. Upon reaching the level of chuunin, Raikens are allowed to select one of a few upgrades for their staff such as adding a spear head to the end of it (throwing weapon-javelin), turning it into a sword and sheath (the handle of the sword is one end of the staff and the blade is contained in the hollow end) or turn it into a detachable nunchaku (ninja weapon.) The reason why this weapon is so affiliated with the Raiken clan is that it works with their lightning chakra and can even help them to channel it functioning much like a lightning rod.

Physical Description: is of average height, which is a little abnormal for her clan, since most clan members are pretty tall for their age. This doesn’t worry her though because she is expecting to gain height as she grows older. She has light, sun bleached blonde hair that reaches nearly down to her waist that she only bothers to tie back when she is concentrating on something she feels is of great importance. Her skin is very pale, which may seem odd considering she spends most of her time outside. Her eyes though are what makes her stand out, because along with most members of her clan she has very dark colored eye, hers being a dark hazel. Her appearance may seem a little strange to some because the extreme contrast between her light overall look and her dark eyes.

Clothing: Her outfit is simple, because truth be told, she couldn’t care less about her looks. They never where of any importance to her, even though people kept telling her that she could be beautiful if she actually tried. She wears a simple black tank top that hugs close to her body, and a pair of black shorts that also hug close to her body. This is her standard outfit that she wears daily because it’s simple and no part of it gets into her way. The only time her outfit ever changes is when winter comes and she wears a black coat made of leather. She wears the standard shinobi sandals, also black along with a black leather band around her wrist that she uses to tie her hair back when she needs to.

Personality: She is a pretty quiet girl, but that is not to be mistaken as shy. She is unafraid to speak her mind when she feels like she needs to. She is quiet because she is almost never interested in the things going on around her. She is a very detached person, that way she doesn’t have to worry about anything other then herself and the VERY few things that matter to her, and those things remain a secret. She doesn’t tell anyone what she cares about, because she isn’t willing to risk something happening to them. She is known to have a bit of an attitude though, because when she dose speak up, she is known to lash out. And her “I could give a crap” attitude tends to get on people’s nerves occasionally, but she doesn’t really care.

Background: Akemi was born back in the Country of Lightening to parents of the Raiken clan. Her father was a simple man that found joy in helping others. He didn’t really have a steady job, because he liked to offer his assistance to those who needed some extra help with just about anything. He always offered to do things for people, free of charge, but never declined a reward if offered one. Her mother didn’t work either, because both her and her husband believed it was a women’s place to stay at home and create a warm and welcoming environment. So her mother was a simple house wife, but a woman that was loved by many for her warm personality.

Her parents were married about seven years before they had Akemi, and the joy of her birth only lasted a few short hours. Her mother had a lot of trouble during the birthing process, and became very ill. She died a few hours after giving birth to her blonde little baby girl. She named her Akemi meaning bright beauty because she believed that this baby girl was one of the most beautiful things she’d ever witnessed. Her father on the other hand had become completely overcome with grief during the whole process of watching his beloved wife become so ill so quickly. His one fear was of losing her… was becoming true right before his very eyes. Watching the one thing he ever cared about die right in front of her was enough to take him to the edge. He took the newborn child back to a household of another member of the clan and left the baby there to be found, before going back to his dead wife and taking his own life, just so he didn’t have to live without her. Better be together in death, then to ever be apart.

As the years past, the family that raised her became more aware of how detached she was from everything and everyone. They had given up trying to press her for reasons why, because all she ever did was lash out at them for being too nosy. So once she became older, they decided that it may be best that she start finding her own way in life. They had been hearing some good things about the village of Shimagakure and the shinobi acadamy there, so they decided it may be best to send Akemi on her way. They knew that there would be some other Raiken clan members there, so they weren’t worried about letting her leave.

Other: The name Akemi means bright beauty, given to her by her mother who died right after giving birth to her.

Physical Description: Standing about 5’6, Misaki is of average height for women of the time, not too tall, and yet not too short. She has a very skinny build, but that is not to mistaken as weak. Under her skinny build is a very tight and toned body. Her arms are covered in an almost tribal like tattoos. There are no specific meanings to the tattoos, other then holding a memory of her more “rebellious” times as an early teen. She wears her blonde hair in curls and loves to play with spring like curls when she’s bored. Her eyes hold a bright brown color to them, almost a honey color during bright sunny days.
Clothing: Her outfit is a simple one, consisting of a red silk kimono, with varying shades of pink cherry blossoms on it. It is lined with an almost gold shade of yellow along the long slit on the left side of the kimono and along the bottom and sleeves. Her shoes are simple black flats that tie up around her ankles, cute and very easy to maneuver in. A single red flower is always tucked behind her left ear.
Personality: Misaki is a very bubbly girl. She’s still a young girl, finally blossoming into a woman. She loves people, even if they don’t love her. When her interests are peaked, her bubbly personality turns into a flirtatious one. Even when told flat out that people aren’t of interest, that doesn’t put a damper on her mood because she’ll continue after them for the fun of the chase! “You only live once!” is her favorite saying, and that is what she lives by.
Background: Misaki was born in the water country, but spent the larger part of her short life traveling around with her family. She never complained about moving around, largely because she loved arriving at new places and seeing the different countries and how much each differed from the next. At the age of 13, Misaki decided she was old enough to do things on her own and decided to break away from her little band of family, and decided to take up residence in the fire country. She worked odd and end jobs and did favors for the citizens of whatever city she ended up in. Her childlike personality kept her positive even when things were rough for the girl, and keeping her motivated to learn new and different things as she traveled and grew. With the coming and ending of the Black Spring Events, Misaki ended up making her way to a civilization that seemed most effected and most devastated, that place being the small island of Shimagakure where she took up one a more or less leadership role amongst the devastated people, doing what she could to keep their morals high with her bubbly personality.

Physical Description: Serena reaches a height of about 5'4", with tan skin that doesn't burn, but gets darker easily, something that she has never liked about her skin. The Raiken has black hair that falls two or three inches below the shoulders when let down. Her bangs don't fall straight anymore, as they once did, but are now brushed to the left, though still short and kind of choppy. She also doesn't like how her hair gets in the way when she fights or practices, and so she ties it up during those times. Serena has surprisingly bright gray eyes that show a tint of brown at times. Depending on how she feels, her eyes may seems to sparkle like the stars. Serena is quite fit, and stronger than others may judge her for. A tattoo with the Raiken symbol-a lighting bolt-lies on the inside of her left ankle, a requirement for anyone in the clan who becomes a genin.

Clothing:. Serena has never been a big fan of change, so her wardrobe is still similar to when she was younger. Serena wears a black, short sleeve hooded jacket now, which she zips up ¾ of the way. Lots of ninja mesh around the middle, bottom, and the shoulders allow her body to breathe. Inside, she wears a strapless pink top, as it remains to be her favorite color. Serena wears navy shorts that are very lightweight, and they keep her cool during the hot summers on the island. She sports the same lightweight ninja sandals and her golden necklace, with the Raiken Clan symbol on it, has been altered to be a choker, tied on with a navy ribbon. The Raiken’s ninja headband is loosely tied around her neck.

Personality: Most people like Serena because of her bright and sweet personality when you first meet her. She is quite friendly towards others and is able to relate to a person of almost any age. Once you get to know her more, though, the Raiken will say almost anything that is on her mind at the moment, may it be something random, clever, or even strange. She is also not the most positive person at times, though she tries to be negative in a respectful manner (that is, unless it’s someone she knows well and considers to be okay to insult). She tries not to yell or argue against her elders, for she considers respect to be a big thing. Serena will speak her mind whenever she deems it necessary. She is a true perfectionist, and when someone notes even the smallest misstep, flaw, or mistake of some sort, it dwells her conscious until she fixes it. She hates being wrong, and when someone proves her wrong, she either tries to prove herself to be right or will become terribly embarrassed and mad. She loves reverse psychology and riddles. No matter what, though, Serena can be considered a very reliable and trustworthy character. She has strong self-motivation and will put all of her focus into what she does, doing the best she can do and trying to get better every time.

Background: Unlike other children, Serena had to be trained to have absolutely no fear of any kind of lightning or electricity. It would, of course, be a shame to the clan if she grew up fearing the element that the Raikens work with. At the young age of 11, Serena’s parents sent her to Shimagakure to train as a kunoichi.
She was ecstatic about the idea, but after her parents left her on the island, she lost all contact from them. She only knows that they were from somewhere in the Lightning Country, and that her mother’s name is Aimi and her father’s is Masaaki. She does think about them at times, and questions where they are and why they don’t come back to Shimagakure. As she became more comfortable in Shima, the Raiken found herself new friends and discovered the existence of other Raikens on the island as well. Shimagakure became her home and the people there became her family.
Serena excelled in her years at the academy, and learned things rather quickly. The only problem was that she was too busy learning new skills to even glance at the Raiken scrolls she had, which taught the special skills of her clan. Before she knew it, she was becoming a genin, along with Sorri, who graduated shortly after her. For a while, Serena and Sorri worked without a third member, their leader being the great Shinichi. How did she get stuck with this mean, hard-headed, violent teacher? Sorri picked him without even asking her. This was when the Raiken made the decision to start speaking up a little bit in important matters. She quickly realized that Shinichi honestly was a good person, though and began to notice when he took her on her first mission up against Mizugi, the ice monster. This mission was one she could never forget—it still leaves her in tears sometimes. This was the first time she had seen anyone die, and his final words leave such a lasting impression into her memory. Mizugi gave Serena a new mission, one to stop chakra from polluting the world so much. She became inspired, for now she knows that she can make a difference in the world.
Soon, Xyn filled the third spot on the squad, and the rivalry between Sorri and him got bigger. Unable to take the arguing and fighting, Serena became the middle person, always the one to break up the two. Nonetheless, their relationship as friends and as a team grew. The Raiken became a bit worried about the future of their squad, though, as the war against the Mehos began. Their teamwork was lacking—Sorri and Serena would only occasionally fight together, and Xyn refused to fight at all. Serena found herself in pain and sorrow amidst the fighting—so many innocent people were being killed…people she knew were dying. Never had she seen anything like this…She put in every ounce of strength in her fighting to help protect the village, but failed as the Mehos surrounded and captured the girl. There was no way out, the Raiken knew she would be killed if no one came soon. Her hopes rose again, though, as both of her teammates, Sorri, and Xyn—for the first time--valiantly attempted to save her, Sorri being successful. She was thankful, and continued to fight against the Mehos with even more effort. After the war, Serena was affected by how her efforts had not done as great of an impact she had wished them to be. All she could do was improve herself, learn new things. Now, while peace was returning to the island, she could take some time to learn some of her clan’s secrets, skills, and be ready for whatever comes next.

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.

Raiken Staff .
The Raikens have their own unique staff which, in combination with their unique limits, can only truly be wielded by their clan. This staff is unique in it's design in that it can split into various weaponry, and the additions it gets later on make it even more dangerous. The standard staff looks like a regular body length staff, but is hollow on the inside because, since it is made of a highly conductive metal, it would otherwise be too heavy to effectively wield. It is traditionally yellow with black at the ends. This standard staff is presented to all Raikens who reach the level of genin. Upon reaching the level of chuunin, Raikens are allowed to select one of a few upgrades for their staff such as adding a spear head to the end of it (throwing weapon-javelin), turning it into a sword and sheath (the handle of the sword is one end of the staff and the blade is contained in the hollow end) or turn it into a detachable nunchaku (ninja weapon.) The reason why this weapon is so affiliated with the Raiken clan is that it works with their lightning chakra and can even help them to channel it functioning much like a lightning rod.

Physical Description: Sukotto is 180 cm tall, and weighs in at roughly 70 1/2 kg. His hair is brown and halfway groomed, though it is often unkempt, especially when he is in a hurry. His eyes are hazel and somewhat piercing when he is in an unpleasant mood. They also tend to show more of their green quality in this state. Sukotto is fairly thin, but athletic and toned. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in the speed at which his hands move to perform ninjutsu.
Clothing: Sukotto received a light gray jacket with an Uchiha symbol fabricated on the back from none other than the Kage of Shimagakure himself. Feeling more of an attachment to his new family than he ever has to the one he doesn't know, Sukotto chooses to wear this jacket over his old clothes. Even so, he still keeps them stashed away, keeping the only link to his past alive.

Personality: Sukotto is normally quiet, though when he warms up to someone, he can be the most loyal and reliable friend one could have. The Uchiha can often be found reading various shinobi lore in the library of Shimagakure. This information gathering has been used by the ninja to help guide his training. It has become somewhat of an addiction for the young man, and he frequently visits the cliffs of Shimagakure to mold his skills and abilities towards whatever training goal he had laid before himself.
Background: An Orochi man and woman found Sukotto wandering around with little memory when he was at a young age. He became close with them, but wanted to get out of the restricted life he was forced to live inside of the Orochi village. This life was caused by the constant threat of the Orochi's finding out about his existence and either killing him, or doing things that could be even worse. For his own defense, his retired shinobi foster father taught him the basic skills that a graduated academy student would have known.

There was an incident that occurred with his foster father, but he has never discussed it with anyone besides his foster mother. Thoughts of the event continue to affect him in subtle ways.

About half a year after the incident with his foster father, Sukotto's mother became quite ill and he was forced to put his shinobi ability to the test to gather precious herbs for her. On the way back from one of his collection trips, Sukotto happened across the Kage of the Hidden shinobi village of Shimagakure, Uchiha Ichi. Having heard about a way to get her adopted child to a village where he wouldn't have to be raised among constant danger, Sukotto's foster mother requested that Ichi take Sukotto back to Shimagakure with him. Ichi graciously accepted.

On reaching the village, Sukotto was put under the command of the iron fisted sensei, known as Tategami Shuga. After training with team Shuga for a few months, it became apparent to Sukotto that he wouldn't be able to truly unlock the ability of the Uchiha clan unless he was taught by a fellow clansman. Luckily for him, Ichi's generosity was nearly limitless and he kindly accepted to take Sukotto under his wing along with another Uchiha named Kira. Kira had already unlocked stronger of the mysterious Sharingan than Sukotto, and she hadn't even received full academy training. In fact, she was the main inspiration for him leaving team Shuga to train under Ichi.

It was an informal training exercise in the woods of Shimagakure that brought about his admiration of Kira. The female Uchiha, her wolf Shiro, and Sukotto were making their way through one of the forests surrounding the village, training their survival skills. Near the end of their training, they encountered a pack of rabid wolves. Unable to escape, the team was forced to fight. Kira and Shiro had almost no trouble, considering Shiro's speed and Kira's reaction time from her stage two Sharingan. Eventually getting himself cornered in a seemingly fatal situation, Sukotto unlocked the ability of the second stage, allowing him to defeat the wolves. It was this newly acquired ability that allowed him to learn the taijutsu technique, Hayabusa Otoshi, by simply observing Shuga in his last few days before leaving her team to join Kira under Ichi. Little known to Sukotto, there were many more secrets lying within his chakra besides the abilities of the Uchiha clan and that of his former sensei. The only evidence he had had of this as of then was a strange blue hue that appeared within his eyes at the same time as his stage one Sharingan had during the said incident with his foster father.

The Uchiha received his third stage of the Sharingan after nearly dying while trapped within a genjutsu on Haha Island. While under this technique's illusion, he ended up having to battle a mirage of himself. This actually worked in his favor, allowing the shinobi to use his stage two Sharingan to read his own flaws in battle. Losing the fight only worked to make him stronger, while the near death experience woke the next stage in his Kekkai Genkai.

After he arrived in Shimagakure from the mission to the village of the Orochi, Sukotto felt himself begin to emotionally slip away, due to the loss of Uchiha Ichi, former Kage of Shimagakure and Sukotto's foster uncle. In a dream, he saw himself battling against the same Orochi twice, but with different stipulations. In the first battle, he saw himself using a speedy taijutsu form that utilized chakra to increase the damage and accuracy of its strikes. Sukotto saw the dreamt up version of himself defeat the Orochi in what seemed to be a long and taxing battle. He noticed that his illusionary self actually used chakra in his feet to stick himself to the Orochi, which seemed to be the main focus of the unique taijutsu style. After he defeated the snake man in this way, the dream seemed to restart itself and he witnessed himself use a terrifying genjutsu technique to defeat the Orochi in seconds. The sight of himself possessing such an evil weapon convinced Sukotto that he would need to attempt to develop the taijutsu style that he had dreamt of to avoid losing himself to the darkness that existed within that genjutsu. Deep down, he knew that this would not be enough to stop the flow of evil within his heart, and later had a strong instinctual sense that told him that he needed to get to the Bird Country. Here, he hoped to figure out a way to suppress and even destroy the negativity that had built within his heart.

Sukotto's physical activity and training slowed for a period of time as he dedicated a lot of his attention to studying chakra to enhance the Phoenix Form, the speed-based taijutsu style that he had developed on his own. He had been attempting to make this modification by means of an experimental jutsu that he had envisioned in a dream. The rest of his time was devoted to Uchiha Senritsu, with whom he had become quite close with. He imagined that the girl may have suspected that he'd get annoyed with her, since she would follow him as closely as Spring followed Summer. However, he enjoyed their time together more than anything else that he had experienced in Shimagakure. Since the female Uchiha had somewhat of a distaste for the Academy, Sukotto took her under his wing and began to train her to adopt the ways of the shinobi. While the pair had a lot of fun together, the responsibilities of a ninja began to weigh on Sukotto as the chuunin exams neared. In his ripe age of 20, the Uchiha male would step out of his childhood and into the life of a full-fledged shinobi. Finally, he would have the authorization and experience to form a squad of his own and venture to the Bird Country.

Body Flicker Technique [Shunshin no Jutsu]
This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. It could deal some heavy damage when using in an attack. However, putting too much strain on the muscles to move continuously may cause permanent damage.

This jutsu sends multiple balls of fire at a target from the user's mouth. The fireballs are small, but fast. Its easy for the user to spam at least 5 within two seconds. Their range isn't a very long one though. Since they are small fireballs, the tend to disperse thinly as the fly through the air.

Phoenix Form (Hōsenka Katachi)
Description: A mind without intention is required to harness the true power of this fighting style. In the absence of doubt and fear, only action remains and this form certainly trains one to let go of such hindrances. Like the bird of fire that this taijutsu is named for, trainees will, in a sense, be reborn after completing their training. A focus on the legs for offensive strikes and the hands and arms for a defense by means of quick deflections is achieved by focusing on agility rather than strength. The primary stance is held by completely relaxing one's arms and balancing seventy percent of one's weight on one leg whilst holding the other in front of the body, barely touching the ground and ready to strike.

Physical Description: His most important detail is Xyn's left eye. Implanted in it is the eye of a raven. Although it is usually covered, the scars of the surgery are visible, four marks resembling the scratch marks of a bird’s claw. This eye has no inherit properties and is just a tool like a hypnotist's watch meant to draw a person's attention. His hair is indistinguishable from black, although the tips sometimes fade to a very dark brown. His normal eye is the same shade of brown. Although his face is long, most of his features, such as his natural eye and nose, look small in comparison. His skin is a light natural tan. He has a slightly abnormal height for his age, and because of this, he looks skinny and weak, so he wears large, thick clothes to make himself appear bigger.
Clothing: The first item of clothing is his black cloak stitched in feather designs with purple string. The collar extends past his chin, almost concealing his mouth. The cloak is held on by just two large buttons around the area his collarbone would be, and flows down to half the length of his shins. He wears a purple button-less jacket with loose sleeves that extend about 3 inches past his fingertips. The rest of his clothes are a normal fit, a sleeveless black vest with a neckline that hangs just below the neck, and long black pants. His footwear is normally a pair of sandals.

Personality: Xyn hates to act first, both inside and outside of battle. He will often not speak unless spoken to, or ignore a person altogether if he finds the conversation pointless. Although he seems to be a quiet, solitary person, the truth is the opposite. He enjoys causing trouble and exciting others into acting against him just as an excuse to defend himself. Xyn doesn’t usually seek out attention, but always takes advantage when he’s in the spotlight. Words such as 'friend' and 'generosity' are foreign to him, since the teachings do not describe such practices.
Background: A child was needed to become the messiah of the Douken clan. After years of internal feuding, it became necessary for the elders of the clan to entrust all their hopes into one vessel, someone they could use to unite the clan under one ideal. For this task, nearly a hundred children were tested, and out of those, Xyn was chosen. At the time, he was only six years old, but the child of a respected lineage that was traced back seven generations. To create the tool they needed, Xyn’s memory was erased, undergoing many years of teachings and tests to devote his mind and body to the principles of the clan alone. Xyn absorbed all of the teachings as expected, but maintained a will of his own. The elders ignored this detail since the child never questioned the teachings. Having no childhood and no memories of family or friends, Xyn puts his faith in the teachings as his only reason for living. The most important of his beliefs is the need for balance. Because of his love of knowledge, Xyn requested to be given the eye of a raven, sacrificing his own eye. He studied and idolized ravens, contributing to his belief that acquiring some aspect of the creatures would increase his own intelligence.
Xyn came to Shimagakure as part of his training to become a powerful and respectable ninja in preparation for his future role as leader of the clan. However, this was not Xyn’s true purpose. Xyn’s presence in the village was originally meant to gather information on the local inhabitants. It was a strategy the Douken had employed for many generations, using spies to determine the will of the populous and determine the amount of effort needed to “convert” those who did not follow the Heikin principles. This was the story told to Xyn, but even that was a lie. The elders of the clan were becoming increasingly agitated by Xyn’s strong will. Despite his unquestioned obedience, he would constantly perform tasks on his own, and even develop his own interpretations of the teachings. The elders wanted to test Xyn by allowing him to train and learn by himself and so they could study how he develops.

Associating with other people in the village was of no concern to Xyn. He needed not to get involved in such trivial things as other people's lives. However, living in the village made such a thing unavoidable. Since his first day at the academy, he was always the target of one particular student who constantly challenged him during exercises. Such a thing would be normal if these contests ever had a winner. Xyn and his unintentional rival Sorri would always get grouped together, and no matter what either of them did, the exercise always ended in a tie. Xyn was always satisfied with these outcomes and cared not how Sorri felt either way, ignoring any comments the boy would make.
Xyn believed knowledge was power, and despite not wanting to get involved with other people, he learned as much as he could about the village and everyone in it. Although, to follow the precepts, Xyn had to work for such information, or exchange information on himself in return. Only when asking for information did Xyn ever engage in a conversation with other people, although there were a few exceptions. Seeing himself indebted to Maya, he went out of his way to prove himself to her in order to find a balance between the two. After a few months, Xyn grew an attachment to the girl, although he would deny such a thing even to himself.
Since he was no longer under the watchful eye of the clan elders, Xyn began his own studies, keeping a journal of not only what he learned, but applying what he learned. One of the interests he has grown into is writing poetry.
~Year 103-104~
It was little surprise to Xyn that he would once again be paired with Sorri, this time as a genin team. This only intensified the rivalry between the young Ibazi and Douken, especially as the village once again was forced into a war. At first, Xyn refused to fight. He didn't see why he needed to take part in such a conflict. Things only became more complicated when the people he was slowly considering his friends fought against the Meho clan. His desire to stay neutral and his desire to protect the people he had grown to care about clashed as fiercely as the war itself. The deciding factor was his teammates. During a battle, Serena had been captured. Despite Xyn's best efforts to save her, it was Sorri who managed to complete the task. This was the first instance in which Xyn truly and finally established the Ibazi as a rival. If he could not save Serena, what good could he be at Maya's side? Xyn decided to study more of Sorri's skill, hoping to develop his own fighting style. It built to a point that Xyn started to use string in battle much like the Ibazi jutsus. Throughout the conflict, Xyn fought while trying to find a reason for why he was fighting. Each opponent he faced, he started to ask before attacking; "What is your reason for fighting?". Not usually waiting for an answer, Xyn started to develop his own reasons. "I'll fight to assert my existence". Xyn began to realize that life and death were balanced by struggle. Those who live struggle not to die, and those who are dying struggle to live. He could only find balance through this struggle. With such thoughts in his mind, Xyn began training more than ever to achieve the goals he had set forth for himself, and the goals he would one day need to accomplish to become leader of his clan.
Although peace started to settle in the village after the wars, Xyn wasn't able to afford such comfort. The processes he had undergone to erase his memmory had already started to break down before the war. The strengthening of his will only caused the barriers in his mind to break down faster. Even though he wanted to dismiss any thoughts of the past, he could not deny the affect of the memories that were coming to him in his dreams. Parts of his "true" personality were starting to come through, the strong will and determination that he once had as a child that the Douken elders had hoped to crush to make him a proper puppet leader. Still a seeker of knowledge, Xyn tries to find new ways to train the skills he already has to use in different ways or develop new skills that others might overlook.

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. Physical Description: Munin is a common raven. He stands at a little over 2 feet in length with a wingspan near 5 feet. He is skinny for his size, weighing under 2 lbs. Most of his other features are large for his species, such as his bill, his eyes, and the plumage of his tail. His tale is highly iridescent, meaning that the multi-layered, semi-transparent feathers reflect light. This creates a rainbow-like effect that changes based on the angle it is viewed. His eyes and the shaggy feathers along his throat are a very dark brown, almost indistinguishable from black. The area around his bill and eyes are a grayish color, but the rest of his body is pure black.

Personality: Despite always being scolded by his owner, Munin is very friendly, often perching on the shoulder of whoever Xyn is talking to. He is also too cunning for his own good. He will often take food without permission, using cute movements and song-like calls to distract his target. Mainly, Munin loves to mimic his owner. When Xyn is reading, Munin reads over his shoulder. When Xyn moves his arms or head, Munin will do the same.

Background: The son of the raven who gave his left eye to Xyn, Munin and his siblings were originally released to the wild. Munin was the only one to return. What was strange was that he returned exactly one year later and discovered near his father’s grave. Munin left on his own, but once again returned a year later. With each year, the raven stayed a little longer, until he eventually remained in the village the entire year. His first encounter with Xyn was far from ideal, as the raven tried to attack him, but at the time, Xyn was being protected by his tutors. From then on, the raven simply watched Xyn, approaching him only when he was alone, but in a far more friendly manner. Xyn never thinks of Munin as a pet, or himself as an owner. He talks and reacts to Munin as if he were another person.
~Year 103-104~
As the war began, Munin started to spend more time with Xyn. He felt it was somehow his job to protect the boy, at the very least, in return for keeping him out of trouble. As a wild bird, Munin's antics would make him a pest, meaning the humans might capture or even exterminate him. As a pet, his behavior was thought more as cute and quirky. Putting his skills to the test, Munin spent most of his time flying over the battlefields, attmpting to blend in with the wildlife and relaying information back to Xyn. With the communication between the two growing, the raven started to understand humans a little bit more, or at least, understand Xyn more. Realizing Xyn's goals and what it would take from both of them to accomplish them, Munin has decided to do everything he can to aid the boy.
Other: Munin has a mate named Hugin. She is slightly smaller with similar features, but her feathers are a shade lighter. Hugin is incredibly fast, normally used to deliver messages, but she is also extremely shy, hiding when any human or animal comes near her. She only comes near Xyn because Munin spends so much time with him. She also only comes near the head elder of the Douken clan, making it easy to communicate between himself and his clan.

Physical Description: Like a masterpiece painting or sculpture, Eri stands at an average height, never slouching, and an average weight with no visible fat. Her hair is a long, somewhat curly blond that is very neatly brushed, usually pinned, rolled, wrapped, or otherwise arranged into a different hairstyle every chance the girl gets. It is very shiny, sometimes even glistening in the sun, with a length that goes slightly beyond her shoulder blades if she let it down. She has large, very clear blue eyes. The rest of her facial features are rather small, such as her eyebrows, nose, and even mouth. This draws more attention to her eyes, so she pays as close attention to them as her hair. Her skin is a smooth, almost milky color, with some hint of red that makes it seem as though she's always blushing.
Clothing: Eri wears only the clothes her mother specially made for her, or when she gains enough skill, the clothes she designs for herself. The outfits she chooses are always vibrantly colored and meant to draw attention. Every article has a place and a purpose, even if others do not notice it. She will usually add little features, such as a small pin or flower petal just to see if people will spot it and, hopefully, compliment her on it.
Personality: The very definition of vanity. Eri admires the beauty of the world around her and wishes more than anything to be part of that beauty, even if only for a moment. Her self-centered attitude is surpassed only by the fact that her physical features are classically perfect. She enjoys nothing more than taking advantage of her appearance whenever possible. She acts cute and playful, especially with boys, knowing she can get what she wants. In truth, she dislikes people, especially if they cannot compare to her idea of beauty. Background: The only daughter of two shinobi, Eri learned from a very young age how to be strong. There was a time when she loved her father as all little girls do, but that joy and innocence ended when she was only three. Eri lived peacefully with her family, but outside their home was a tiring war that had not reached their door. This changed one day when Eri's village was attacked. Eri's father was a member of the team sent to fight, but he mysteriously vanished during the frey, and the defending soldiers were slaughtered. When it was discovered that Eri's father was actually a spy, Eri's mother was sent to track down and kill him to prove she was not also in league with the enemy soldiers. This event caused a distrust of males that steadily grew over the years. Living alone with her mother, Eri focused on her appearance and becoming a "proper" woman as well as a kunoichi, wanting to prove herself better than any boy in both appearance and skill. Eri's life might have reached some amount of normality, but her troubles did not end with her father's death. Uncertain if the relatives of Eri's father would want to retrieve the girl, Eri's mother kept a close eye on her, eventually deciding to send her to Shimagakure in order to prevent any type of abduction.
Other: She gives people nicknames within the first moments of meeting them, occasionally names that make no apparent sense, such as calling a tall boy "duck". She does the same for her stuffed animals, giving the name bear to her dog plush. She prefers to be called "princess", and does not object to being worshiped as such. She calls out "Ninamori, Ninamori" as a magic spell to ward off boys (Her mother's name).

Physical Description: Sorri has grown one foot since he was 12, making him no taller then 4'11. His tan has become more dark then the other Ibazi's being the youngest to have ever soak up the influence of the island and its climate it has effect him more. Although there's a difference in skin tone, his eyes remain just as bright as any other Ibazi. the scabs from Baki's claws have finally become nothing more then battle scars. His hair is usually slick back with berries that are grinded into a sweet and shinny gloss. It stretches below his shoulders, he puts it into a at the midpoint to keep from get in the way at times.

Clothing: His family, now finally figuring out a design to work with the climate, gave him a new line of Ibazi ware. With fitting thin black vest with vertical white strips on the front, one on both the left and right side. Pants with the same design just inverted with open endings to hold in less heat.

Personality: Sorri, letting the molding from his parents finally set into his own lifestyle and routine, Sorri is taking better care of himself. Taking care in his appearance every mourning, washing every night. it saved him from a lot of little annoyances, such a** waking up with a swarm of bugs taking up his hair as a new living space or infections. His mind still juggles his thoughts to quickly to control some times. He goes into moments where he just zones out and forgets what he was doing completely, well when it comes to doing something that takes him to think a lot at least. He's a good kid when it comes around to helping around the village and taking orders most of the time. Just try and stay out of his way if a conflict sparks between himself and a certain other troublesome teammate...you may get hurt.

Background: Sorri was brought to Shima at the age of at and has worked on becoming a better around ninja sine he was told of the missions is dad went on. he had been the only Ibaxi of their homeland to try and used their skills with chakra and everything in the form of string and strips. That was the core of his ambition, to be just as amazing as his dad. Upon acknowledging his son's choice the senior Ibazi had opened his eyes son to a whole knew personality. Staying driven wasn't always easy to do especially after the death of his cousin, but with the restoration and drive that came from anger and rival with a person kept him going. His name was Xyn, but Sorri continued to grace him with the insulting nickname Ibazi Aku donned the one eyed shinobi with, "Patchy."
>Genin:=Sorri dreams for the title of genin received blow after blow. First he had gotten dropped down out of his first graduating class then the kage delivered a headband to his squad member while walking right by Sorri. It was a quickly calmed anger, he received his the next day and after finishing his mission half way their squad come back to the village center in the middle of a small massacre that Meho Dhan had created. While Shinichi went to take care of the psychopath Sorri quickly went into the work of trying to rescue the injured. While doing so Sorri had been held to a halt, an elderly man begged the young village shinobi to take his life, and though he had an inner battle about the action he did it. Sorri had took his first kill from a Shimakagure villager and though he is quiet about it, these always the scare in the back of his mind that it made him just as bad as the Meho Dhan.
Sometime before the war Douken Xyn had assigned to his squad making the arguments between the two of them not only more reoccurring but also more heated. After becoming increasingly annoyed with the engagements between the two Serena just started to keep them focused and controllable. Along the war times Sorri work with his team only to gett split up and some how run into his father during a scuffle with a Meho which became a ganging up against Sorri. The short father and son duo ended with the senior Ibazi wrapping his son with string and flinging across the battle field and into a huge opponent, knocking said opponent out, talk about hard headed. While taking the that meho in one hit he took out a group that had been getting ready to gang against Serna.

Physical Description: Two years have passed and Shisei is still gaunt. Still short the boy is only at 5’0 and weighs 100lbs. His weight has fluctuated greatly over the last two years due to injury putting him at one point near 60lbs. Luckily Hyuuga cooking brought the boy’s weight up. Dark purple, short dread locks with slight shine grow wildly around his head. They grow upwards and away from his face. His initial dreads and the front of his head are the biggest. Smaller dreads have twisted together forming six big dread locks that cover away the rest. Two small dreads now hang in front of his face instead of one like bangs of hair. Skin pale as snow and the darkened rings around his eyes still give the impression of a sickly child which is far from the truth. Despite his trials over the past years the boy’s ghost colored skin still remains flawless and unmarred. The rings are a mixture from years of obsidian paint being absorbed into the white skin and sleepless nights. The black shades travel down the sides of his nose about midway. Both eyes are elliptical with a serpentine pupil and vibrant gold irises. His face still bears a child like roundness to it with a stubby nose. The boy’s mouth is usually nothing more than a small line as it is rare when he parts his lips. Within his jaw are normal teeth, despite many people’s belief. His front fangs though do appear more snake-like than human though. Shisei is actually missing a tooth in his lower jaw at the back of his mouth. It was the last of his baby teeth to go. Similar to a snake, the youth’s tongue can extend much further than a normal person.

Clothing: Thanks to Kanami and her Hyuuga fortune Shisei has replaced all of his past clothing with custom designs. His wear is from the same clothing line as Kanami, Avian Wear. Both feet are covered by black sandals that cover most of his foot. This is usually not noticed because the legs of his pants are long enough to cover his feet only leaving his toes and a small part of his sandals noticeable to the world. They are a darker shade of brown from his previous wear with the same zipper design as the first. This means that the bottoms, just below his knee, can be unzipped and taken off make the pants shorts. This time the attire has no side pockets and only one back pocket. This is made up for by the jacket around his upper body. The jacket is slightly lighter than the pants with two side pockets and a buttoned chest pocket by the heart. The sleeves have been made to be more billowed and longer than usual to conceal Shisei’s hands. The top has two straps with gold buttons. When both are strapped across the top the two buttons create the symbol of an ankh. With the straps connected the collar extends above Shisei’s mouth covering up to some of his nose. On the back of this jacket is a symbol of the Ouroboras in black. It was intentionally customized that way. Below the jacket are two shirts. The first is a purple shirt with white short sleeves. Below that is a no-sleeve net shirt. His right leg still bears bandages from the bottom of his knee to his foot. Both Shisei’s tongue and left ear contain piercings. Both being silver rings.

Personality: Many can sum up Shisei in four words: Apathetic, arrogant, stiff and rude. At least three of those are true. His rude behavior is really just Shisei being direct with people. Even though the boy is usually quiet, the times he does speak up it is strong, clear, chaste, blunt and severe depending on the topic at hand. The feelings for others are secondary as long as Shisei can get his point across.

Arrogance and stiffness both go hand in hand from his time within a place other than the Orochi village. Because he and his sister had more of a natural talent than the other kids he became egotistical. This further became the case as their looks were different from other children thus already segregating them. Because of this Shisei prefers keeping a rigid and composed demeanor around people.

His apathy began to originate when he had to forcefully leave the Orochi tribe into someplace else. It fully manifested with the tragedy within is family. Because of this Shisei doesn't see any reason to get attached to others and seems uncaring in many situations that would get a rise out of people.

Don't be fooled though. It may be rare, but the child does express emotions like anger when under stress. During anger his face is etched closer to a smirking predator and his speech becomes more frequent and caustic. The even rarer times when he smirks or smiles out of joy, you may be able to see a fang or two. These traits have become almost nil with the passing years.

A trait that many may not notice immediately is Shisei avaricious appetite for learning and a vast amount of curiosity. Once his curiosity is perked the child won't be deterred until his mind finds an answer. This causes him to analyze things, using his sense of touch, smell (and even taste) upon the object that peaks his curiosity. During these times Shisei can forget about another person's personal boundaries.

The last two years have changed the youth slightly. Coming to a realization that those around him have become distractions and hindrances have fueled his wrath. Especially when those around him have succeeded because of his distractions. This fueled rage and hate, as profound as it has grown, is kept very tightly in a mental cage of detachment. So far to the point where Shisei needs to force facial expressions for most of his emotions. The only thing that seems to change with his face is the vein that travels down the side of his forehead when really angered and the tone of his voice.

Background: Shisei was born in the Orochi tribe with his mother, Ametsuchi and younger sister, Shiu. Before Shiu's birth Ametsuchi had fallen for a man out of the Orochi tribe named Edo Nise. Even though two had fallen for each other, the Orochi tribe was not fond of him or the clan that Edo came from. This also caused a rift between Ametsuchi and the Orochi tribe.

It is only after the birth of Shiu did, Ametsuchi decides to secretly leave the Orochi tribe and head to Edo's town. She was not accepted back to the Orochi tribe, but Ametsuchi was ok with this. A a few years passed with the family living in this new area until one faithful night. It is unknown of all that transpired, but in the end Edo died and Ametsuchi, along with two men (one with red eyes and another with purple eyes), took Shiu before Shisei's eyes.

Knowing that blame would befall on him Shisei also left that town and disappeared for a year. He resurfaces at a certain village.

Two years have passed since Shisei entered Shimagakure and he has deemed both years a complete failure. Nothing came to fruition as Orochi Onshu had once said years previous. His first meeting on the beach would be a precursor of things to come. The snake youth did not stay with any of the children, but remained at the Tenmoki house with Yuki’s family. This family also included two Orochi, Seshiro and his brother Sachiriku. It was five years before since Shisei could remember the last Orochi he had met. Being intrigued to meet Orochi brethren other than his family, the dread hair felt this was the perfect opportunity to learn more about his original homeland and not just the stories his mother told him. Yet that would not happen. As quickly as he found kin from his race was as quickly he found out about their inevitable extermination. Within a few days of his arrival, the snake child would sit by as genocide was committed against his clan. After the Orochi War, Sachiriku and Seshiro disappeared. His surrogate sister Aya would also disappear. The mother of the household would go so deep into depression that her form could not return home and her youngest child was placed in care with the nurses. The situation did not surprise Shisei. Just like the year previous he was alone.

Without the Tenmoki family to distract him, Shisei returned to his major goal of training and growing stronger. He drifted between different peers such as an Aburame, Raiken, Ibazi amongst others. At the time, the boy who called him friend would challenge him to a fight. The two boys were joined by a young girl who was resident to the Shima land. Each one had their own motives and perspectives of the fight which would almost cause two deaths that night. Karite and Orika wanted to test their skills, but Shisei’s only purpose was to win. In the end it resulted with Karite and Orika bordering between life and death. The Orochi maverick remained untouched, but the display from the two teens was not what he would have believed to be dignified of a shinobi. The result of that battle would have all three teens linked together until Harada Shinichi stated otherwise. During the time Orika would gain her revenge, by almost killing Shisei. Something the snake child would not forget or forgive.

A mind created of logic cannot stray from it. The defeat from Kun’ Kumo Tanu, while unexpected could have been explained. His near death experience from Orika was not explainable to Shisei. Those failures weighed on his mind as the Meho forces invaded Shimagakure. As always Shisei fought alone, not adhering to any orders of the chunnin or jounin of Shimagakure. The serpent youth saved the few civilians he cared to save, but extinguished the life of every Meho that crossed his path. Some of the intruders’ lives he took slowly to examine them. There was no emotion or remorse when Shisei killed. The Meho were not Shisei’s enemy or friend. It was no different to him than stepping on ants. At most they were test subjects for life and death. With each body that dropped before the snake child a thought kept ringing in his head. "Why is the enemy better equipped than I, but pale in comparison to my strength?". This idea kept surging through his head, slowly growing with each enemy exterminated. The analytical brain was beginning to make a comparison with the enemy and his peers. At this time Shisei disappeared without provocation or a trace from Shimagakure. It is unknown what happened to him for the next six months, but his body is found next at the Trunk Mansion of the Hyuuga clan. His limbs were dislocated with an eye wound and a spine nearly broken. This would be the last straw. The serpent boy remembered facing off against a one eyed peer from his past. A person who should have died, but still walked among the living. That boy would extract revenge although he also failed in sending the serpent to hell. A frame nearly destroyed and far away from the shinobi island to take the genin exams, Shisei would try to take the rite of passage for Hyuuga shinobi. He was no Hyuuga so the child was denied to participate. The boy would not give up easily though. After much aggressive persistence the elders decided to allow Shisei to partake. However his test was far greater in difficulty than his Byakugan peers. Against medical orders the snake student participated at minimal condition in an examination where the odds were heavily against him. This would prove grave as the snake youth not only did detrimental damage to his limbs, but failed the exam where as the rest of his peers passed. This occurred on his birthday.

The first failure in his life has left a scar that could never heal. Watching the rest of his peers, who he believes did not deserve to pass, succeed only further fueled his anger. There was no point in returning to Shimagakure. His progress would be hindered greater there. The boy decided to stay on the mainland, keeping his accommodations and eluding the distractions that the shinobi island brought. The years have not changed much of Shisei. His height has only grown by an inch and his weight is still meager. Despite the injuries received Shisei’s skin healed fully to its flawless and unscarred form. His face remains expressionless except now there is certain clairvoyance to it. As if the snake can see what others cannot. The cage around his emotions has tightened to such a point that Shisei needs to force expressions on his face. Yet within that cage, a monster of dark sentiment has grown exceedingly larger. Acknowledgment of his first failure has made the child much more aggressive and volatile than previous. His disdain for most around him has grown. There is even a new found scorn against his self. This has lead for the child’s ambition to become an obsession. One quote continues to ring through his mind. Especially with the knowledge of his past peer’s survival. “Anyone that attacks me or my desire is an enemy. I’ll kill every enemy in front of me.”. The black void in Shisei has grown substantially.

A unique genjutsu as making the hand seal does not necessarily initiate the jutsu immediately. The jutsu commences when the user points a finger at the opponent. If the opponent even glances at the hand they will be caught within the technique. Once inside the illusion, the user disappears and the opponent begins to see and hear their most precious people. It plays on the opponent's insecurities and their most loved ones will degrade and attack them. The longer the jutsu lasts the worse the visions become. A lack of trust, focus and a growing feeling of paranoia are the most common symptoms from this jutsu. These feelings can be powerful enough to last for years because of this technique.

Quetzalcoatl Underworld Resurrection Technique [Quetzalcoatl Meido Sosei Jutsu] - not yet invented
A genjutsu which makes the person believe he is sent to the underworld graveyard, littered with thousands of bones of past humans. They are then faced by a giant serpent with wings. The snake will begin to bleed, covering the opponent’s whole body with blood. The blood will begin to melt their skin off the opponent, only leaving the bones. It feels like sulfuric acid is being poured upon them. The stress placed upon the mind of the person causes them to lose control of their chakra system, making the body expel chakra in an attempt to disrupt the genjutsu causing only excessive lost of chakra by the victim. It is this chakra escape which causes the burning and melting feeling.

Shisei still carries the tessen that he has stolen long ago. Made from balsa wood, it has an elaborate design of dark gold with one of the handles dark sepia. It has outer prongs that are blunt, but can still hurt with enough pressure applied to pierce an opponent. The amazing thing about this tessen is the size. It appears to have been made for the use of a giant, being 4 feet and 5 inches. Shisei has equipped it with a black strap so he can sling the weapon across his back. An unusual weapon, the snake kid keeps it because he has read it could be used with wind ninjutsu. It is named Fenghuang.

Physical Description: Kanami is constantly honing her body and perfecting her looks. Because of this attention to appearance her body has become curvy, gorgeous and attractive. The girl is tall, standing at 5’7 and weight remains a mystery because she will never tell. Kanami is always stating that she could lose a few pounds. Her measurements are B36 W22 H34 (she wishes her butt was a little curvier) with more attention to her bust than anyone else. Like all Hyuuga, Kanami has soft, healthy, light peach skin. Kanami keeps her cream skin and muscles soft and slightly toned, but not overly muscular. Her hair is dark blue that resembles an evening ocean. There are times at night where it could be mistaken as black instead of blue. The blue locks are very long, extending to just pass he butt and is always combed neatly in the back. The front left side is a little messy with bangs flowing in the same direction, but she’s purposely put it that way. There is also one bang that travels from the middle of her head to just below her jaw. One thing different about her hair from other Hyuuga is that the end tips of her long bang and hair at her back are dyed blonde. During different times of the year she may dye the tips a different color. The kunoichi would like to dye the rest of her hair blonde, but her clan has ‘convinced’ her to cease that action. Kanami’s eyes are the same mesmerizing magnolia like the rest of her clan brethren, although hers seem to shine with an unnatural air of sensual confidence not found in many. A long angled nose defines her face like many Hyuuga, but her lips are more pronounced than most. It only adds to Kanami’s beauty.

Clothing: Kanami loves fashion and keeps up with the latest clothing designs and accessories despite her shinobi life. For this reason her clothing style tends to change by the season, but she likes to try contrasting colors. Her favorite brand is Avian Wear. The clothes she tends to wear most during the spring and summer seasons are dark red sandals with small heels and white leg warmers that reach to below her knees. Covering her knees is netted kneepads. A short, pale brown miniskirt is adorned around her waist that drops in a ‘V’ type style. To make sure no one gets a free show when high kicks or leg grapples are involved, Kanami wears black, short-legged elastic tights. This also aids in drawing sweat away from the skin. The Hyuuga teen may also switch the miniskirt and elastic tights to a skort that is of the same design. A string holding her pouch of ninja items is to her right side of her lower back.

The waist and abdomen remain bare while she wears a strapless top at her chest that just covers to her upper abdomen. In the middle is a cut elliptical that allows her to show some cleavage off to the world. Over the top is a low cut jacket the stops just below the black top. It is a light blue, with pink inner lining and a pink zipper on the right side of the fabric. On the back is the symbol of a scale with its left half white and right half black. In the middle of the scale is a yin yang symbol. Wrapped around her left arm is a light blue ribbon. Both elbows also have the same netted pads like her knees. Dark red fingerless gloves are adorned on her arms.

To go with such a flashy appearance the teen has to have accessories. Kanami’s fingernails and toenails are painted in light blue. Left pinky and right thumb have gold rings. The teen’s right wrist is adorned with bracelet and her favorite key chain attached. Kanami also has six piercings. Both ears are pierced top and bottom with amethyst earrings while her belly button is pierced with a silver ball. The final piercing, very few people have or will see in their lifetimes. At one time Kanami did have her eyebrow pierced, but the Hyuuga ‘convinced’ her into taking it out and letting the brow heal. The last piece of jewelry the girl has is around her neck. Surprisingly it is nothing of material worth. It is a chain with a shard of a broken gold sword on it.

Personality: ‘The Girl Next Door’, ‘Valley Girl’, ‘Femme Fatale’. Kanami has been described as many things ranging from the distant princess to a bitchy slut. From ditsy to a femme fatale in the making. To sum up the Hyuuga heiress would be to call her vane, laid back, confident, promiscuous and slightly eccentric.

Like most teenagers, Kanami is very self conscious about her appearance. Almost to the point of being a narcissist. Because her Hyuuga heritage gives her a unique appearance when compared to others outside of the clan, it has made many constantly gaze upon her. She knows and loves the attention. The way how many males and females lust over her features pushes the girl to groom and spruce her exterior. She believes that when people meet, three fourths of their impression is based on appearance. Despite this love of self imagery, Kanami rarely cares about the appearance of others and will even aid people to reach their physical desires. Still she does notice appearances and is not afraid to use it as an advantage in a fight.

Despite having the noble Hyuuga blood running through her veins, Kanami can be idle and negligent of things. That combined with everything that has been said thus far can make the girl seem like a lazy b***h (which may not be far from the truth…). This originates in retaliation in how her parents always pushed the girl and her siblings. The motivation from her ever changing caretakers also enforces this. Instead of working harder, she’s become sardonic up to the point of not doing things she does not like. Kanami rather take things easily than pushing hard in something that is unnecessary. Finding out that worrying and tedious work creates wrinkles in her skin also spurred this attitude. When the teen does come across something she enjoys though, her attitude towards it is as aggressive as a barracuda. Also there are three things Kanami will not take lightly: her clan, love and a friend in need.

Ever since Kanami was a child she’s had an air of confidence like no other. Being the heir to the Trunk family has made a major impact in her thinking, because she has always been the center of people’s interest (whether it be positive or negative reasons). This combined with two siblings she took care of at a young age cemented the self assurance she would need in the difficult times of life. Beauty and a doubtless mind also make the kunoichi crafty. While not necessarily book smart, Kanami’s learned to get pass that fault and use beauty to her advantage. A flick of her hair, a bat of an eye lash or even a quick kiss to a few has allowed the girl to con many people as well as swindle her way out of unfavorable situations. If the seductive way does not work, Kanami can also put on a cute face or fit into a damsel in distress archetype. She’ll continue to down the line of emotions until one is suitable for the situation. She has a knack for sensing people’s emotions and combines it with a positive attitude to take advantage of a situation. Regardless of what Kanami does or what people think of her, the girl always keeps trust in herself and her ideals. It is very hard to shake her will in what she believes in.

The most infamous and recognized part of Kanami’s personality is her wanton and flirtatious behavior and boy hungry ways. Kanami at heart is a tease. The girl is always in and out of crushes over boys (and some girls!) by the season. To her planning for a long time relationship early is just sealing yourself away from the rest of the world and your possible soul mate. She believes that people should do date and do scandalous things as much as they can when they are younger so they know what they are looking for when they’re older. Much of this principle falls from her past job as a geisha/oiran, things she learned while at that job and her family. Most people do not know what they want in a lover and need to experience a few relationships and do everything before making a final decision. The kunoichi lives life similarly by being in and out of relationships as much as her crushes change. Ironically the teen one day wishes to have a loving relationship with one person and a family. Perhaps to one man from her past. Although she wants many sexual adventures by then. Kanami has many ways of getting people’s attention and for a crush the girl is willing to use any means necessary to erect their interest.

A trait that not many see in her, but those that do will all agree to, is Kanami’s slight eccentricity. Or perhaps she’s just flipping crazy at times. At times she can be mischievous at other times she likes to touch and rub against people just to make them feel uncomfortable. To younger generations the girl likes to treat them as younger siblings and act as an older sister. Such a relationship entails giving advice (even if it maybe hypocritical to her nature), talking about relationships (girl talk!) and other kin behavior. This also includes harassing the poor children. The kunoichi prefers girls over boys because she has a better understanding of females, but still tries her best to aid the younger males. An extension of her previous relationship with siblings that she never fully developed a bond with. Because of this Kanami is very understanding of anyone’s actions and will not shun someone she considers her kohai. The lengths she is willing to go for such people is outstanding. Kanami has a giant love for peach cobbler and an obsession for a children’s game. It is a game in which they collect pocket creatures. The mania also extends to fortune telling, tarot card reading, shinobi cards and some random spur of the moment ideas. Despite these quirks the heiress can quell these urges in most daily activities. Kanami is slightly embarrassed by her obsessions.

With all these immorally bold traits Kanami does have her worries. Despite being confident in her actions and persona the girl puts too much pressure on herself to keep to those standards. She hates being a burden to anyone. The conflict of her wants and dedication to the Hyuuga clan can lead her into a depression. The teen also tends to try too hard to keep her body perfect that she suffers from anorexia from time to time. In the past she has suffered from Stockholm syndrome and can be very clingy when her depression kicks in. At these times her personality becomes childish. At other times Kanami will lock herself away in her room and wallow in despair.

Background: Many years previous a man known as Hyuuga Jimmu would be next in line to lead the clan. He was praised as divine and thus named after the legendary figure of the clan. Since his youth he was to marry someone of the Trunk family. It was not even permitted for the head of the clan to marry a member of the Branch families. Around the time of when marriage was proposed and the future leader needed to pick a bride, an illicit scandal was brought to light between Jimmu and a woman named Tau Aijin. Aijin, not even being part of the Hyuuga clan, made the act considered to be on the level of sacrilege. To keep the act hidden from public, a marriage ceremony was accelerated and a bride was picked for Jimmu. The woman was a friend of the heir, Hyuuga Suzume. Aijin was left alone, forced to never speak word of the affairs. She could not be quiet for long once her womb gave birth to a child with Hyuuga eyes after the marriage. This caused the clan to send the woman away to a distant country in which she could not be trouble. The illegitimate issue would never be known to the public or even most of the clan.

Twenty years later the new clan leader and his wife would birth a rare case considered to be lucky; triplets. The trio could have been considered identical if one was not a girl. Despite this fact, when clothed only their parents could tell them apart. They were named Kanami, Ichirou, and Haruki. It had already been a long tradition that the first boy born would be the future leader of the clan thus putting Ichirou as the successor. Despite Kanami being first she was cast aside.

When the children became five, the royal family went on a trip to Tea Country. It was a pleasure trip while finding Branch members and has them join with one of the created Branch families. Before ever reaching their destination the imperial family was attacked by a group of assailants. The man leading the attack had a gruff and jagged exterior, but his eyes were a recognizable magnolia. The same child that was cast away many years prior had returned with bitter feelings. His name was Kaikamaru. Aiding him in this assault was a man of unmatched swordsmanship in Tea and Wave Country. He was a general, wielding a golden sword and using a two handed sword style during the rebellious turmoil in Wave Country under Ukitake, but due to unexplained war crimes was imprisoned. Kaikamaru liberated him during his time at the land of insurgence. This man is known as Hitokiri Jubei. The plan was to kidnap the Hyuuga heir for ransom and assassinate the other children. During the time while the ransom was being sorted, Kaikamaru would attempt a coup de tat of the Trunk through the Branches and place himself as leader of the entire race. Not all things go as planned though.

What the two assassins did not realize was that one of the three children was not a boy, nor did they know that all three children had such a close resemblance. Jubei had slain the wrong pair and captured the remaining, Kanami, instead. During this conflict Suzume had become severely injured from the renegade clansman and Jimmu had eradicated most of his forces. The clash also caused the renowned swordsman to lose contact with his liberator. He was alone, stuck on his own with a child of only five years. Not wanting to hinder any plans of his rescuer, the war prisoner took care of the child. Kanami hated the man and would cry every night for her family. As time prolonged, the girl only knew Jubei and clung to him for the assurance of living and to one day see her family again.

During the pass of two years there still was no word from Kaikamaru. To earn a living Jubei challenged many and defeated each opponent mercilessly. His hope was that the fame would attract Kaikamaru’s attention and they could meet to finish their scheme. The lone swordsman drew the notice of unwanted visitors. At a tea house the man was attacked by several assassins from the Hyuuga clan. Their target: Kanami. With only the knowledge to protect the young child, Jubei fought with all his might to eliminate the hired killers. The battle was long and the traveler lost his right eye in the process, but was grateful for the end result. Not only did he protect the lost princess, but managed to gain some information. The details included that Kaikamaru had taunted the Trunk kin about owning the remaining child of the leader and that she was his puppet to retake the clan. A message was given to the illegitimate child and his father to meet and finish this war between them. The two men met and died, yet neither death was caused by Hyuuga tactics. A message was left for the Trunk to kill Hyuuga Kanami as she was now a hindrance to the clan. This event brought the past soldier and his captive much closer although in differing ways. Jubei saw the girl as a younger sister or daughter and protected her like family. Kanami saw the swordsman in a different light. He was her savior and rescuer, upholding her life due to noble deeds. She had begun to forget of the incident that destroyed her family.

Two more years prolonged with Kanami sprucing her appearance to entice her savior into a relationship as well as making money. Jubei, now running from both the Hyuuga clan and imprisonment for a war crime kept low to escape capture. He still accepted challenges for money, but did not fight in public. Money was still tight between the two so the magnolia eyed girl began to use her looks, flirtatious tendencies and witty tricks to con men (and sometimes women) out of their money. Life was hard, but Kanami now enjoyed every moment with Jubei. While crossing a bridge into Water Country, both sides were set ablaze, trapping the two. Through the flames stepped a shinobi with purple eyes. Jubei was unsure of whom this person was, but could sense a power emanate from this person. It was perhaps the swordsman’s most deadly foe. Jubei and assailant fought with the ferocity of beasts, neither willing to retreat as Kanami watched the battle with tears flowing down her cheeks. Thirty minutes later the matchless swordsman had defeated the shinobi. It was not without loss. A couple was casualties in the battle. The man slayer also lost his left arm in the conflict. He withdrew with Kanami quickly from Water Country. The pair soon found a small town that did not know much of the news in the world so Jubei’s past would escape them. Sorrowful and regretful for everything that had happened to Jubei, Kanami did everything that she could to relieve and assist the man she loved.

Three more years elapsed with the two living in this town unprovoked. Jubei slowly recovered. With his two handed style forever lost the man began to teach himself a new one handed style. At the same time he took a small paying job in teaching swordsmanship to the youth of the town. Since the first day that Kanami had stepped into the town she had done everything a young girl could do to help with money. She worked in a shop while doing odd jobs all day long. During times off and break she would flaunt her looks and gamble to swindle money from people. Unbeknownst to Jubei, at night the girl would work as a geisha/oiran at a local inn known as Inner Virgo. At the time a young girl with such unusual eyes and stunning features would attain much money. By working out a deal with Mistress Yuri so that her name would not be known outside of the inn, Kanami sold her body. Anything for the man who had fought so intensely to protect her. Around this time a vengeful man had been tracking Jubei seeking to kill him. He was a relative to the people that burned on the bridge three years previous as well as a war survivor from a rebellion in Wave Country many moons before. He stopped into the Inner Virgo one night and after finding out that the hidden manslayer was within the town his arms captured Kanami and many of the children within the village. He threatened to murder them all if Jubei did not face him and his minions. With only one arm, Jubei took up his gold sword to defeat this man and save the children. Yet once again his noble actions were not without consequence. The battle had shattered his golden sword and seriously injured the tendons and bones in his right leg. The injuries of this battle as well as those from the past ended the swordsman’s career.

A year past with Kanami and Jubei moving to another environment. Kanami had stopped her occupation as a geisha and only did random jobs. The combined money that both had earned was enough for the next couple of years. Jubei had taken up to some light drinking and playing mahjong in the evenings. One night when the busted swordsman had not returned home the Hyuuga heir went out to look for him. She found Jubei chatting with an old friend that had helped them throughout the years. The girl did not reveal herself and eavesdropped on the conversation. During the discussion the man had asked Jubei if losing his swordsman skills and all of the turmoil throughout the years because of one girl was worth it. Jubei replied with “It would have been better if I had never met her.”. Grief stricken and crushed at this revelation Kanami ran away. She returned to their home taking only a bag of goods, a meager amount of money, and a shard of Jubei’s broken sword. The Hyuuga left a note for the man. “I won’t be an impediment to you anymore. When I return I’ll make everything right.”. Kanami started her journey alone.

It would only take two month’s time for Kanami to be found by her past clan. Upon finding the young girl though, they did not attack, but rather encouraged to diva to return with them. Over the years the order had been retracted and as the blue hair girl was the sole survivor of her siblings, she was next in line to be of the clan. The one leading the clan was an injured Hyuuga Suzume whose time in life was limited. After much persuasion the clan managed to bring Kanami back to her rightful place in the Hyuuga where she would train to be the next heir. The girl did not forget her promise to Jubei though. She was smart enough to realize that the training as a ninja and becoming the princess of a clan would lead her much closer to that goal. Once her training was completed she could protect the man that saved her so many times.

For two years the kunoichi would train with her brethren honing her skills as one of the best in her clan’s generation. Her first mission was to seduce an accountant who became too miserly with his dealings. At the height of euphoria she killed him. It was Kanami’s first kill. While praised for completion of the mission the clan did not approve of the sexual tactics used, because it was not Hyuuga like, especially for the heir. The clan would be more careful with the missions she did from then. At the time she made frequent trips between the mainland and Shimagakure, but never stayed long enough to know much people. Her time there is to only partake in the newspaper and a few civilian friends she made. The Trunk is slightly fearful that the varied shinobi and the Branch families on the shinobi island will corrupt the girl further. After much discussion between Suzume and the elder clan members it became approved the Kanami should learn about the shinobi arts at Shimagakure. If anything the island would provide her with a glance at different clans and also prove to be a safe haven. If the Hyuuga clan is lucky Kanami may also get cured of her disgraceful wanton behaviors.

-Things you didn’t know: Kanami means ‘mean control, love of star’. It can also mean ‘wire mesh’. Yet the way Kanami writes her name is with the kanji of kana which means 'powerful' and nami which means 'wave'. While very flirtatious Kanami does not like it if someone grabs her by the wrists or touches the back of her neck. Doing this may make the girl hastily and angrily leave. She has a special fashion kit with a cream. This cream seems to be able to cure all scars and bruises within half a day’s time. Her favorite performer is a man named Kanza Kiyotsugu.

-Things Kanami doesn’t want you to know: Kanami lost her virginity around the time she became a geisha. She also has a small obsession to collect shinobi cards. The girl has over three hundred shinobi cards. The mania is also extended to a children’s game involving collecting pocket creature key chains. She owns over a hundred key chains (only needs ten more to have the full collection) and dozens of stuffed animals and plushies of the creatures. Her favorites are Jiggly Tuff and Rianogard. Taijutsu

Name: Juuken [Gentle Fist]
Description: A fighting style created by the first Hyuuga and can only be utilized by those of the clan. By using the Byakugan’s penetrating sight to see the tenketsu, the chakra coil system, the user emits small bursts of chakra through the palms or fingers and allows it to flow into the opponent’s body at the tenketsu. Because the chakra coils are wrapped around internal organs, the victim suffers from internal damage. Highly skilled members are able to attack the 361 pressure points of chakra flow and either increase or diminish the chakra flow of the opponent. A user must have good knowledge of the human anatomy before being able to accomplish many of the techniques.

Name: Hakke Bifuushou [Eight Divination Signs Soft Palm]
Description: Despite the name this attack is not of the palm, but a strike of two or three fingers (usually the index, middle, and sometimes ring). With these fingers the user strikes the opponent, not trying to aim for internal damage of the chakra coil system, but physical paralysis of the opponent through a pressure point. It is technique thought by the clan in case a member does not have enough chakra to use the gentle fist and needs a way of offense. It is used mostly as a last resort.

Body Replacement Technique [Kawarimi no Jutsu]
This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, leaving the opponent open to a counter-attack. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. Fundamentally, all ninja know this technique. If the technique is successful you can use sneak attack to attack your target.

Body Flicker Technique [Shunshin no Jutsu]
This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. It could deal some heavy damage when using in an attack. However, putting too much strain on the muscles to move continuously may cause permanent damage.

Physical Description: 4’7’’ in height, sixty-six pounds. With his petite frame, pale skin, smooth dark raven hair (with long bangs and sideburns), and the loveliest green-gold eyes, Yuu is often mistaken for a girl due to his pretty, doll-like appearance. And indeed, the courtiers often find it interesting to doll him up in rather uncomfortable, elaborate robes. His eyes are partly-heterochromic, a lovely deep emerald but tinged with hints of gold that in different lighting would either make his irises appear different shades of green, turquoise, or gold.

Clothing: Traditional robes, though Yuu’s is Chinese in design rather than Japanese. Formal robes are of those worn in imperial China. Basically, the formal robes come in two layers: a high-collared, flowing, long-sleeved inner robe made of fine white cloth and either an embroidered outer robe or a low-collared, embroidered outer layer of the traditional vest design. For the children’s outfit, the vest actually goes past the waist and hips, until reaching the knees but tapered close to the body so that it is not too free-flowing but not too stiff as to hinder movement either. Pants tapered into a bell shape at the ends are worn with either outfit. The other outfit has a thick embroidered sash not that different from the Japanese obi (except that it uses by far less cloth) to hold the more loose-fitting outer robe in place. The outer robe itself is long - long enough to veil over the pants. An ornamental, tasseled hat goes with the children’s outfits.

Before Yuu sets off for Shimagakure, more demure shinobi-style robes were outfitted. Basically, he was still provided with loose-fitting clothing because that had been what he was used to since he was a child. This outfit comes in three layers however: the innermost robe has the long sleeves secured close to the arm by black, short-belted wristguards. The wristguards reach halfway up the lower arm. A secondary plain white robe, with flowing shorter sleeves that only reaches to the upper portion of the lower arm goes over that. Above that is a traditional high-collared vest of about the same length as the children’s formal outfit but reaching only halfway to the knees and slitted, at the sides, from the bottom up to around the waist. There is a trim of embroidery decorating the hems: edging the high-collar and the trim at the shoulder blades, as well as the seams between the tasseled buttons. Here is where the most important differentiations from the formal outfits are made though. Because this outfit is of a combative design, the long pants were made to be free-flowing and boots are worn instead of the more hindering traditional imperial Chinese shoes that went with the formal robes. The pants are tucked into the boots.

A long flowing shawl of sorts goes with all three outfits. This can act as a blanket and is thick enough to be considered a cloak.
Genin Outfit
Personality: Very quiet and taciturn. Yuu loves to read, draw, and write calligraphy besides meditating or merely observing nature. Due to his traumatic past, he was very hesitant in exploring his abilities, but with the encouragement of the Empress and her courtiers, he is gradually learning to overcome a fear that had been beaten into him as a child: that he held ‘demonic powers’ and thus deserved to be punished. He had grown very close to the Empress San thus, not only because she had rescued him from that fate, but also because she did praise and accept him. However, as far as human contact goes, Yuu is still very, very fearful and distrustful... Other than exploring his onmyōji history, his manifestation of Mokouton is progressing quite well (earlier chaotic manifestations, the doctors concluded, were attributed to trauma). Besides that, Yuu expressed an interest in the medical field, because he had it terribly in his early childhood years, he wished to become someone capable of helping others. Of course, that collides with another ambition to join the Empress’ guards as a swordsman. Little did he know, San has other plans for him.
Background: The Early Years
He was born as Shinrei, of no notable clan or lineage, to parents of obscure background and modest means. However, before he really got to know them, when he was three, the village he was born in was attacked and ransacked by bandits, before being burned to the ground. At the time, even though he did not know, it was the first time his limit manifested: but quite chaotically and because he was not strong enough yet to mold his own Mokouton creations, his kekkai genkai instead took control of the nearby woodland and when one of the bandits drew too close, a branch molded into a spear of wood impaled the rogue through the heart. Terrified, the other bandits left the child alone but Shinrei would never come to remember the incident. He had fallen unconscious shortly, but he would be plagued since then by terrifying nightmares of murdering people.

Traveling priests passed by the area and searched the village for survivors. They found none, until one, the head priest Fukushima, chanced upon the child. Amazed that the child survived, and taking it as a sign from the gods, Fukushima and his followers took the boy in and brought him back to their own village in the Earth Country.

The Rice Fields of God
When the child awoke, it was from there that his Mokouton limit quickly developed. He was able to make dying plants revive from mere touch and even healthy plants that came in contact with his presence grew even more beautiful and produced healthier and more fruit. Even the sick people brought before him, though the villagers did not understand why, all they knew was that it seemed that the child had a healing effect on living things. Shinrei did not understand, unfortunately, exactly why the villagers worshipped him or why Fukushima had given him the honorary name “Kanda” - the rice fields of God. For a time, the village had plentiful harvests, and everything was well...until Shinrei’s sixth spring.

Hearing of a certain demon cat that was plaguing the nearby country, Fukushima and his followers went to exorcise the spirit. Shinrei insisted to come along. However, none of the techniques that the priests used had any effect on the cat-spirit. But when Shinrei approached the demon, she allowed him to pet her and when he asked, sweetly enough, she left the area she was haunting by his request alone. However, the incident did not settle well with the apprentice monks, whom, despite Fukushima’s insistence that there was nothing wrong with such a blessed ability, harbored ill feelings toward the child. Firstly, a demon had obeyed him. But more so...what if this child become stronger than them and become...dangerous...?

By a stroke of ill luck, the group ran into a greater demon on their way home. Shinrei was not strong enough to tame this beast with his chakra’s current level of power, but neither did the great, seven-winged beetle harm him. He had no way of knowing that this was a bijuu beast of nature, but Fukushima was killed when he attacked the beetle out of fear and only one monk managed to escape alive: only because Shinrei shielded the other. Shakily, he was able to convince the demon beetle that they hadn’t meant harm crossing into her territory, and she left them alone. But the damage was done.

The surviving monk spread rumors upon their return.

The Famine Years
At first, the villagers ignored that monk, dismissing and ridiculing his story. And then a drought hit the area. At first, the people brought gifts and offerings before Shinrei (who still did not understand why they were acting so strangely). But a year passed, and when the eighth year came, still the harvest was terribly poor. Starvation had twisted the people’s anger against a child, and they blamed him for placing a curse upon their village. A ‘demon hunt’ took place: Shinrei barely managing to escape. Cold, hungry, and profusely bleeding from many wounds, Shinrei wandered the Earth Country. Finally, he wandered to a nearby village the Empress of the country happened to be visiting.

The Lady Empress
Their first meeting was not exactly expected.

Nor had Shinrei realized she was the Empress Yochi San.

All he remembered was that he had...somehow fallen in the pathway of a parade of sorts and was roughly handled by the guards. But too weak, and too tired, he couldn’t obey them and move out of the way. He vaguely remembered a lady in the carriage saying something to the guards...but he had passed out by then. He had collapsed - not only feverishly ill and out of strength physically, but mentally as well.

When he awoke, for the first time in weeks, he was in a bed.

All that the orphan child knew was that his relationship with humanity thus far had not been very good. So he reacted naturally, when the Lady Empress spoke to him: Shinrei attempted to escape through the open window of the two-story house of the royal apothecary, Song Huwei, San had taken him to. Except that plan never quite worked, a pillar of stone had managed to catch him by the scruff of his shirt’s collar-line, thus effectively ending the suicidal attempt. At first, San had been astonished at meeting a suicidal charge, but eventually, after initially refusing, the boy told his story in tears.

He didn’t have anywhere to go anymore.

So his surprise had been great when San offered him to come with her.

Except he had not known that the place she offered to take him to was the imperial palace.

Despite his naturally shy demeanor and past unpleasant experiences with society, little Shinrei somehow managed. The child often spent his time with Konpaku, the Empress’ dear Black Panther, whom after the Empress he had accompanied the most. She, of course, was notably happy with her new charge. They became very good friends, or rather, considering that Konpaku grew greatly protective of the child, not all that dissimilar from a mother-child relationship.

It was in the imperial court that Shinrei displayed his Mokouton ability once again. The imperial gardener was very fond of a certain sakura tree that had been planted while his daughter had still been alive, but it was dying and nothing that was being done was helping. Simply, the tree had grown old. Shinrei felt sorry for the gardener, and every night, he snuck out of his room and went to visit the sakura tree, always returning a little ill and weakened but nevertheless, when he discovered that little by little the tree was growing healthy, he kept returning. The courtiers grew suspicious at just how fragile the child’s health had become, and when he fell dangerously ill, the women of the court (who were quite fond of the child) grew worried. And even more suspiciously so, as Shinrei grew more ill that ancient sakura tree grew more healthy. And even though they kept making sure that the child was in bed each night - and he was in bed when they come to check - something was definitely very, very wrong.

Then came the night when the Empress, taking a night walk with her attendants, saw the child in the grove, tending to the sakura tree. While the child did not know she too was by right a shinobi, it did not escape San’s eyes how that ancient tree reacted to the child. And she realized that tree was taking the boy’s chakra...that he held some sort of ability that could command nature. At the conclusion of the incident, Shinrei was chastised for almost getting himself killed out of ignorance. But Shinrei took the explanation of what chakra and kekkai genkai was with great confusion. What...what was this...class of people called shinobi? And, even though she was upset at the child for his dangerous venture, the Empress and the courtiers took great delight too in discovering that a new limit now lived under the sky - a line that could control and manipulate life. So the Empress renamed the boy Yuurin - for the forest he would one day come to command - and gave to him the honorary name “Senju”.

From that day on, Kanda Shinrei became Senju Yuurin.

To the Island
He was told stories of Shimagakure no Sato. Soon Yuu grew to love the shinobi legends, and second to the myths he so loved to read, he took in the words as if they were the immortal fruit from heaven...

A year passed, then another after that incident in the grove, and Yuu - though shy and demure as ever - was gradually growing more open. However, it still disconcerted him when the ladies of the court fought over ‘dressing up the sweet child’. He learned the language, became proficient in reading and writing and especially loved to read. In fact, for his age, he had read already the more difficult scrolls and novels that those applying for the Civil Service Exam had to complete. Even so, despite all the advancements in literacy, speech was a bit problematic because the child was so withdrawn. Yuu was simply not comfortable speaking to anyone but the Empress (even though their first meeting had only been an accident) and of course, with Konpaku...but he was still undoubtedly fearful of most people. So eventually, the child was motivated to learn and memorize complex poems and perform them to the Empress and little by little, grew better in speaking the court’s language. The male courtiers, scoffing that the child should learn to be more of a ‘gentleman’ as well taught him etiquette and how to play Go while the women of the court insisted that he learned instruments. Trying to appease all sides, Yuu eventually learned to multi-task and acquired different skills at once.

And finally, the day came that he was eleven. He wouldn’t know why it was very important, though. Thus when the Empress called for him, the last thing he had expected involved Shimagakure, and that he would be accepted...
Relationships: Yochi San
He had been too young to remember much of his own mother (he had been four when the attack occurred on his native village) and the only memory he carries from that time was the nightmares and his mother’s - the Ming’s - lullaby. Though Fukushima had been the closest to a fatherly figure, it was San who was first and foremost like a real parent and mother to the child. Yuu would happily tell San the usual things that most children would to their mothers, mundane little things (a though endearing habit had become greatly diminished as the Lords of the court, aghast, swiftly took to tempering the matters in their own hands and thus now all that leaves the boy’s lips is greatly formal and for discarding mundane words from the mind before such would ever even leave the lips) - even very attached to San, like a little boy would be - though it is perhaps most accurately to say that probably because San is very young herself, San is both a mother and admired older sister type of figure to him. To which Yuu would claim (if left with absolutely no choice but must having to choose) the former, naturally, because of his great respect for San. In formal meetings, he will call her “Yochi-jotei” or “jotei-sama” as appropriate of San’s formal title to the insistence of the courtiers, but otherwise, he addresses her closely.

Konpaku
He affectionately calls her “’paku” (or very rarely, paku-paku) though despite initial appearances of the great Black Panther acting like a playful kitten around the child, it is actually, in truth, the other way around. Yuu is for all respects as dear as a kit of her own would be to Konpaku: with how protective she is of the little boy, all’s fair to say their relationship is not all that dissimilar from the bond between a mother and child. Even long before he had met Konpaku, however, it is interestingly notable of Yuu’s peculiar way of treating animals. There had been some hinting that it might have been influence from his bloodlimit but the bond he shares with nature is almost frighteningly close - he treats all life with great reverence and insists that animals are partners and even addresses them with the same reverence as he would owe to one of equal standing or as to his relationship with Konpaku and Noburo, as one would to one of a higher or reverent standing.

Song Huwei
He was first introduced to Huwei as the one who had treated him and the owner of the house that San had taken him to, after he had collapsed in the way of the imperial procession. Speaking of that event, as Yuu remarks in his diary, Huwei had not forgotten of how Yuu had tried to escape through his second floor bedroom’s open window when San had initially attempted to ask if the child was now all right. His relationship to the imperial apothecary is a lot like how a little brother would look up, with great admiration, to his older brother and often Yuu would come to the medical wing to watch Huwei or follow the other to the gardens. Because the child was notably extremely well-behaved, Huwei never minded the little boy following. Yuu refers to Huwei in formality with the appropriate honorific -sama but at other times, as aniki or oni-sama.

Tenmoki Aya
They met on the day of the tournament judging the shinobi being promoted to the Chuunin rank. Though, from a distance, he had seen Aya with her companions many times before on that same day, he did not actually get to speak with her until after the tournament - which had been cut short due to the terrorist attacks on Hanton stadium. It was later that day when San introduced Aya to Yuu and after a short introduction from Aya herself, the usually shy child - very strangely enough - noticeably had indeed immediately liked the Tenmoki kunoichi. Yuu had done his best to help the guests to feel comfortable afterwards, particularly noticing that Aya was greatly distressed over the injury of one of her teammates - Kun’Kumo Kana, who had fought for Hanton’s sake. Upon their arrival to Mugendai the next day, with Yuu having been entrusted to Aya by San for training in a peaceful environment where he could become strong without having to worry about the flames of war, the two immediately set off in training. Though Yuu noticeably looks up to Aya as a child his age would to an older sister - particularly so because they are close in age - as student to mentor, Yuu is very well behaved, following instructions very carefully and always providing his best in everything he does.

Noticeably, from Yuu’s agreement to Aya’s opinions on lying to the Sundai villagers to keep up their peasant façade, the child displays a very frighteningly adult-like understanding in how that though it wasn’t something neither of them liked or was proud of, it was indeed something necessary: for the good people of Sundai’s sake. In turn, Aya learned a little about Yuu that day and of his early years as an orphan and how it had come to be so and how he had come to be in San’s care. It was to Aya, the first person besides San that Yuu told of his tragic early years but it was to her that he gathered up enough courage to sing his mother’s memoir: the Ming’s requiem lullaby, for the first time to another’s ear. Yuu addresses Aya as Aya-nee and in formality would address her as Aya-sensei.

Noburo
He first met Noburo in Mugendai Valley, when the Kage’s gyrfalcon came to deliver a package to Aya, as Yuu was gathering herbs with his new mentor to prepare medicine for the villagers of Sundai. Noburo was very happy with the proffered honey suckles and the honest compliments of her beauty - a factor to which, Yuu had been unaware, that others had not remarked upon before. Needless to say, they have been on good terms since. Yuu addresses Noburo by the honorific -han.

Kun’ Kumo Kazuma
Kazuma was introduced to Yuu by Aya to help him grow accustomed to practicing with a bokken. Like towards Huwei, Yuu addresses Kazuma with the honorific -nii or even aniki or onii-san.
Other:
  • Writes beautiful calligraphy. Deft with the brush and ink.
  • He learned how to play Weiqui (Igo/Go) in the imperial court and have become quite excellent in it. Yuu displays a high level of capability in thinking, however, it is where in confidently expressing himself and communication that he falls short. Except towards the Empress, it is rather difficult for anyone else to get more than a few words out of the child.
  • He learned to play the guqin and flute in the imperial court but clearly is practicing hard...perhaps out of harboring a desire to please the people who had rescued him.

Two Sets of Clothes: This only pertains to his packing for traveling. The same outfit though one set is for wearing and the other set is spare.
Water Canteen: Yuurin claims it’s a canteen, but it’s actually a wineskin. The others don’t have the heart to break that to him, though.
World Map: This map is special and is the only one of its kind. Yuu drew it himself during the art classes in the imperial palace. For a map done with the ink and brush, with the boy’s meticulously beautiful strokes and careful measurement, it is actually quite remarkably accurate. In its creation, Yuurin referred to more than thirty-six different maps to get the most accurate idea of the travel distance/square area of the continent, the islands, and as of such. However, not all of the map is labeled, or all of the world is drawn upon it, because not all of the world had been explored and Yuurin had never been out of the continent himself.
Flute: Made of wood from the Japanese nutmeg tree (the prized kaya wood was used also for making fine gobans and gokes for the imperial palace). This flute is beautifully crafted and due to the hardiness of the wood (which of this particular kind doesn’t crack easily), it is Yuurin’s favorite and he has brought it along for the journey.
Rope: x1 feet of rope. This is obviously not enough to tie anyone up or stabilize climbing. This bit of rope is meant to go along with the tinderbox, actually, to help ignite sparks for firewood.
Tinderbox: It’s just a normal case, holding two special metal pieces. One looks like a nail: that piece is hammered into a large piece of wood. The other metal piece looks like a clasp that goes around the nail to secure it into place. Rope is slipped in through the open spaces at the sides of the clasp and all one is supposed to do is rapidly pull as the nail spins until a spark lights in the wood from the friction. Then, all one has to do is blow on that spark and the fire will light.
Blanket: A blanket for sleeping.
Scroll on Shimagakure no Sato: One of Yuurin’s favorite scrolls on the mythical island village. It is only unfortunate that he does not realize there is much inaccurate information present in the scroll, particularly because the author has never set foot in Shima herself.
Writing Tools: A case holding two brushes with fine horse hair and another case holding stones to be grinded and mixed for ink makes up the writing utensils the boy had brought along. He did not bring a mixing bowl, but that is fine, using one of the cases’ covers as a platter instead. Yuurin takes good care to clean his writing tools and remove and residue ink after use.

Golden Locket: Yuu received this chain and locket as a present from the Empress, for his ninth birthday, after his first year in the imperial court. The locket itself is shaped somewhat like a leaf droplet and the chain has onyx beads entwined. On the locket itself is carved the image of a phoenix courting a branch of sakura flowers, as a memoir to the incident of the dying sakura tree he had revived.
Journal: A special journal he had received from the Empress sometime ago. Though he brought it along for the journey, he has not been able to find a new hiding place for Habaek yet. Though Yuurin claims it’s a journal, he still names and takes care of it with the same meticulous caution as one would a diary. It is a very pretty, leather-bound book, with many ricepaper pages. When one flips it open, there is a painting on the back of the cover: an image depicting the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Knowledge and the Tree of Life in the center of the Garden, with the Tree of Life guarded by angels with wings of flames. The boy takes care to write in Habaek as often as he can and is very cautious to make sure no one else sees.
