Jamii had been wandering the lands, getting slightly annoyed at the lack of females. Where was his princess? He hoped his friend hadn't already had cubs, since Jamii had yet to even started the delicate process known as wooing a girl.

The big lion sat beneath a tree with a huff, landing heavily on the ground and sending up a cloud of dust, that settled into his fur. He glared at the dirt and began to clean himself off, even though his coat almost exactly matched the soil beneath him. But most ladies didn't like a dirty man.

Well, not some of the ones Jamii had met.

He grinned to himself and continued cleaning, though quickly got bored of the task and instead surveyed his surroundings. The same old landscape, lots of grass, a tree, another tree, a watering hole waaaay over there. He sighed. So boring. He wondered if he would be better suited to a life in a different climate, since this heat was killing him. He had a love/hate relationship with the sun. Sometimes he hated how brutal it was, but other times he welcomed the warmth it could bring. Just like a woman. And that was exactly why Jamii was single.

Another sigh escaped him, and his bright aqua eyes began to close as he set his head down. Maybe a nap would bring some pleasant dreams, that perhaps could become reality.

User ImageA cheerful gait resided in the steps of a nearby pink and petite young lioness, making her way to nowhere in particular. Though she was usually more active and energetic at night, the day was too nice to not dance through the fields so far. She hummed to herself, not observing anything around her; she only paid attention to the vast, blue sky, and the soft grass beneath her paws. The day was beautiful, but there was something missing. A frown started to pull at her mouth when she realized - she really was missing someone - someone in particular. If only her almost twin sister Ajali'Badriya was here - she would share the excitement with her, and the two would relax in the wonderful scenery.

It was then that she heard a rather strange thud not so far away. She small female looked around, just now taking in the trees that spread around her. The base of one of them seemed to have dust floating around it, as if something large had just plopped down to scare all the particles away. She hummed thoughtfully to herself, slowly making her way to the spot...

When she reached the tree, she heard someone breathe out on the other side. She stopped in mid-step and pondered what it could have been.

"Uh..." she voiced sweetly yet curiously; she seemed frozen in her stance, and yet wanted to find out what the other presence was.

Jamii's ears swiveled as he heard steps behind him, and his large maned head reared up and turned as wondered who it could be. He would have to laugh if it was his best friend Jasiri again, meeting like they always did beneath trees. Why, he wondered, did that always happen-

His thoughts were cut short as his bright blue eyes settled on the form that was behind the tree. That was definitely not Jasiri. The large cat immediately smiled sweetly, bending his neck around to get a better view of this lovely creature before him.

"Why hello there." He said softly, standing up now. What an enchanting female the gods had brought to him.

"What's a beautiful lady like yourself doing out here all alone?" He asked, tilting his head to the side slightly, puffing out his big mane. He was very proud of it, and he knew the ladies adored a big mane.

"Oh!..." called a soft alarm from the small lioness; she was very much surprised to see her previous concern had been addressed before she had a chance to decide whether to put herself in that sort of danger.

Luckily for her, a brown fluffy lion had been hiding behind the tree all along. How convenient - the inquisitive and wholesome look of his eyes made her feel comfortable enough to draw nearer until she was just a couple feet away from the stranger. The smile she had on was sincerely bright and cheerful, for now she had company, and perhaps even someone to help her.

"Hi!" she answered melodically as the stranger stood, "Um, I don't know... actually. I shouldn't be alone. But you're here, so I'm not alone anymore!"

She looked around then, ignoring the other's gestures, compliment, and appearance. The young female was very absent to the world of flirtation, and never really thought that a male could be anything more than a friend. In a way, she was still mentally in her childhood, free from similar thoughts that may run in those physically her age.

"I don't know where Iya is..." she began after her round of observation, deciding that only she and him were the only ones present, "Do you know Iya is? She almost looks like me. Ohh, I hope she's not hiding again! She's pretty hard to find when she makes me try to catch her."

She couldn't help but twitch her head back to look around again, not giving a second thought to how she may have been perceived by the male; a flash of worry crossed her face as she felt flustered thinking about where her sister was.

Jamii couldn't help but smile at this situation. Naive, young, helpless, completely oblivious to his come-ons. How very, very perfect. His smile was cheshire like as he looked around, pretending to also search for her sister.

A frown came across his face, and he shrugged. "I haven't met your sister, no." He said, shaking his head sadly. But the idea that she had a sister made him smile; perhaps he could meet her as well? Nothing beats two for the price of one.

"But, I can help!" He said smiling again, bright eyes focused on her once more. "I can help you look for her if you'd like. You need someone strong to protect you." He puffed his chest out, his large mane looking even bigger.

"I bet if she went anywhere, it would be to the den I saw not far from here. It looked abandoned and perhaps she wanted to rest there and wait for you?" He ventured innocently. He had indeed seen an abandoned den, and had been planning on spending the night in it when the sun went down. Perhaps now he wouldn't need to spend it alone.

A bright, cheerful, yet airy smile exploded onto the lioness's face as soon as the kind stranger offered his aid. Her heart warmed exponentially whenever someone exhibited generosity and altruism - it made her all the happier to come out of her reserves, and perhaps even a friend could be made. So when he finished his words, she drew up in front of him and thrust her head against his mane most comfortably in appreciation, purring with much joy.

"Yes! That would be amazing!" she purred freely into his mane.

She withdrew from him briefly after, turning her head once more in possible curiosity of the den of which he spoke. It didn't quite sound like Iya to go in such a place by herself... especially to wait for an unplanned reunion. But the pink lioness could never be too sure of her sister as well. Iya at times could be quite the recluse.

"Hmm, I don't know where else to go... I guess it wouldn't hurt," she expressed, moving her head back to stare into the male's eyes, "Would it?"

Moving backwards in preparation for the walk, she continued her thoughts, "I do hope she's there! You'd love her! She's much better at dancing than me... Maybe she'll dance for you as a thank you!"
