"You sure your dad won't have a cow?" Aurora asked as she opened the door of the mall entrance for Victoria. They had come to pick up some jewelry, clothes, and other things that made a girl more feminine (like perfume).
"Nope," Victoria gave her aunt a grin after she batted her eye lashes. Excited about her second trip to the mall she walked with a bounce in her step. "I always get what I want..."
"Yeah," Aurora moaned as she rolled her eyes. Did she ever know all about Victoria getting what she wanted when she wanted. "Alright then... Where to first?"
Victoria looked around at the entrances of the various shops. "How about some perfume?" She had noticed that it made most people smell better and she wanted to smell better too! She was sure it would make her more attractive to others.

"Un! Mama! Mama! Mama!" A tiny voice called, trying to get her mother's attention from the mall-provided stroller. Tish, however, was ignoring the little perfume child's protests, as she had been for the last ten minutes. Faiya had been grumpy ever since she had been forced into clothes for the day - a cute lavender sundress and matching shoes - and was determined to let her mother know. "Mama! Mama! Mama!" The cries continued, until Tish finally looked down at the irritated toddler, only to be met by a pleased, lavender-eyed stare.
"What, Faiya? What is it?" Faiya blinked innocently and pointed to perfume store down the way a bit.
"Mama! Mama! Smelly stuff! Go the'e!" Realizing what the toddler was fixating on, Tish rolled her eyes a bit but nodded, turning the stroller about and heading towards the perfume store. Why the little one would rather go there than the toy store was anyone's guess - even if she did come from a perfume vial, wasn't this a little extreme?

"Smells delightful," Victoria coughed as she inhaled just a little to deeply. She played it off but spinning around slowly and observing the various counters.
"Little strong huh?" Aurora teased. "They say to much of a good thing is bad," she laughed. She had never really payed much attention to the advice given to her but she was all the more willing to share it with others.

"Maaaamaaaa, pretty!" Faiya chirped as they entered the perfume store, pointing at a girl in one of the aisles who had long curly hair. Tish tried to shush her, but this only made the toddler get louder. "PRETTY GIRL MAMA!"
Tish groaned. "Yes, Faiya, I see. . . what are you wanting?"
"See pretty girl! See see!" By now the toddler was making a scene, and Tish wished she was anywhere but here right now.

When Victoria heard 'pretty girl' she looked around the isle she was on. Then she stood on her tip toes to look on the other isles. When she saw no one else other than Aurora and the sales associate she turned to see where the voice had come from.
The little girl in the stroller was adorable with her swirls and colors of purple and blue. And, she had good taste too! She knew a pretty something or other when she saw it.
"Hello," Victoria grinned and waved to the small one. "Aren't you cute!"

Faiya giggled and reached out a swirl-covered hand to the pretty girl. "Pretty girl! Pretty! Play wi' Faiya!" Tish gently pushed the toddler's hand aside and offered an apologetic smile to the girl in front of her.
"Hi. . . I'm so sorry about this, she gets excited easily. . ." It didn't help that Faiya was one of many children and had to fight to get all of the attention she wanted, really, but what could Tish do? She did her best to show her love equally among all of her little ones, but there were just so many. . .

"I don't mind," Victoria said with a smile. Mater of fact she liked the attention. She covered her eyes and then uncovered them. "Boo," she giggled and made a silly face.
"So cutie what is your name?"

Faiya clapped her hands and giggled as the pretty girl played with her, and squealed when she was called a cutie. "I's Faiya! Faiya li' a pretty FAIRY!"
Tish smiled as she watched the two children interact; it seemed that Faiya was making a friend of sorts - all the better for the little one. She sniffed a bit as a delicate, rosy fragrance seeped into the air around them, seeming to dispel all the other scents in the perfume store. Belatedly she realized it was Faiya, who was delighted enough that she was making this scent just for the other girl.

"You smell pretty too," Victoria said the moment she to picked up on the scent. It was a bit more obvious to her due to seeing Faiya's mother picking up on it first. Mindful of her dress she knelt down in front of her. She once again covered and uncovered her eyes. "Boo!" She did it because she loved the response the other was giving- it was rewarding in a way when you made someone else happy.

Victoria laughed as she continued to make funny faces with her. "You know I think there is a place in the mall where kids get to run around and play..." She said knowing that the face games would only last so long.

"Is there?" Tish asked, smiling at the little girl. "Well, I suppose I could take her there, but as soon as she gets out of this stroller it will be a battle to keep her dressed."
Faiya heard her mother talking and made a face, sticking her tongue out. "Clothes'r ICKY!"

"Oh," Victoria said with a giggle as she looked down at Faiya. The thought of the little purple girl running around naked and carefree seemed amusing. However, she didn't think others would appreciate it.
"Perhaps, we could grab a snack instead. My aunt knows where the food court is," she smiled as she again covered and uncovered her eyes for Faiya.

Tish nodded and smiled again, reaching down to pat Faiya on the head and mess with her perfume-daughter's hair. "I think that's a wonderful idea. Faiya and I haven't had lunch yet," she said. "Oh, I'm sorry, my name's Tish Jenkins.
Faiya giggled again and grabbed for the other girl's hands. "Pretty, pretty! Play wi' meeee!"

Victoria couldn't remember if she'd told them her name. She that she'd asked what Faiya's name was. 'Gosh, where are my manors,' she thought.
"I'm Victoria Ann Maria Song," said with a curtsy. "You can call me Victoria, or Tori," she smiled. "Most prefer Tori."
Victoria smiled as she reached out and held Faiya's hand. "We're going to have lunch together," she smiled. With her free hand she covered her eyes and uncovered them- hoping for another giggle.
"There you are," Aurora Dawn said as she came walking up behind them. "Thought I'd about lost you in the sea of perfume," she chuckled. "Made friends I see..."
