 A small dark figure sighed, pressing his back against the trunk of a tree. This was not his tree - the one his mother and siblings lived within, but a tree nonetheless. It provided him comfort with his mind heavy with the previous battles and fights he had with his half-sibling.
A frown and a sigh, slate eyes dancing against the tan and brown fur. He didn't know what to do yet. He didn't want to see the glazed eyes of emotional pain from his mother - one that came from loss of a child.
So here he would stay, but just for a while.
Chozi shook his head free from the thoughts and let the tree support his body. A paw ran down the recently scarred stomach - the latest brawl with the half-brother. Ones that he hadn't even felt until he wondered where the blood was coming from.

Sighing to himself, the lion decided. He was in no rush of time and besides that maybe the one bleeding would be someone he already knew. A very small chance of that being possible, but all the same Tapi would double check. With purpled paws kicking up soft sand, the male traveled by his nose into the vast savannah.
It wasn't long before he was under the shadow of trees...even if the trees were thin and scrawny. The smell was closer here, and the lion took a slight guess that the injured...whatever, would be resting or hiding in this location. So cautiously and slowly, he glanced around each tree trunk and up through the pale leaves. Then he spotted it. A mound of brown blending into the dirt, except for the patches of fur and fluff that moved with breath. Something was alive over there.
Curling his tail tip with hesitation, Tapi tried to keep stealth to his presence as he circled the other feline. No need to get caught if there was a large pride or family here to rip him apart. He'd simply observe for now.

Chozi gave a small sigh. His belly throbbed in an almost pleasant way. It was strange to him. The creatures mother brought always shrieked in pain, but his belly didn't hurt much.
He supposed this was why his mother had long scratches and scars down her body. Perhaps she didn't feel them, or she found the pleasant or something.
Despite, he frowned, pressing the light-colored paw to his belly to try to staunch the flow made from his half-brothers thick claws. Claws that were more experienced with hunting, fighting, climbing.
Chozi sighed, finally looking up from the wounds tracing the muscles of his stomach, glancing around for any predators that would make a quick meal of him.
