Takoda wandered along, enjoying the fine warm sunshine, every now and then she's do a little hop, skip and a jump and fly a few metres, stretching her wings, content to be travelling on such a beautiful day. she decided to lay down in a lovely warm patch of soft springy moss, lying down it wasnt long before the lull of the weather sent her to sleep. Takoda woke suddenly, in the time she has been asleep it had clouded over swiftly, a storm had crept up on her fast, she tried to backtrack to where she had last seen some decent shelter, but in the gloom and the eye burning lashes of Lightning she couldn't see where she was going, Just when she had thought she has spotted something it started pouring down, eventually she reached some sort of thicket Maybe the trees will give me some shelter she thought and went over. She stood under the sparse branches of the biggest tree she could find and shivered, she was dripping wet and starting to shiver from the cold, surely nothing could get much worse, that was when she spotted a shadow in the trees, someone or something was moving out there, no use moving she thought there's nowhere to go in this storm anyway

Cael was walking along in the pelting rain. Not minding the thunder or lightning, having expected the storm to arrive, but he had also seen that he shouldn't seek shelter either. Not sure why but before the storm the clouds had had a distinct patter, telling him that he had to find something. So he was out wandering in the woods, soaking wet, his mane plastered to his head and face. Noticing something trying to shelter in the trees, walking over the shape becoming a wind mare, she looked even more soaked than he felt. Then again she did have much more hair than he did...
Making his way through the trees, stopping when he finally got close enough to see her properly, giving her a friendly smile. "Maybe your what I was out here looking for." Aware that this statement was probably weird to her but he didn't mind, he had found what he was looking for and she looked like she needed help. "I can take you to some shelter if you want, these trees aren't the best place to shelter from this kind of storm." Letting her think about that, not minding standing in the rain. Seeming quite cheerful about it in fact.

Takoda almsot jumped out of her skin when the creature spoke, not having seen this kind of Soquili before, his voice was smooth and confident and he felt silly for being afraid of him, even for a second, "Looking for?" she questioned and was about to ask more when he mentioned shelter "haha, yes i agree, these trees aren't very good shelter" she managed to chuckle a little too. She shivered again, and sneezed while she waited for him to lead the way, "i'm Takoda by the way, what sort of Soquili are you? i've not seen your kind before" she said eyeing his magnificent antlers, that seemed to glow everytime the lightning flashed, she couldnt see his pelt very well in the gloom though.

Cael grins and nods his head a little, heading off in the direction he had just indicated. Walking slowly so she could see where he was and where he was going. "Mmhmm when I smelt the storm in the wind I looked at the clouds and sure enough there was signs of the storm, but also one that told me to look for something. So I started looking... Your the only thing I've found, but you looked like you needed help so it must be you." Looking back and smiling again, knowing that he probably sounded mad or odd but he didn't care. "I'm a Cerynei aparently." Having been told that is what he was but others that looked like him.

Takoda followed slowly behind the strange Soquili, stumbling here and there on some exposed tree roots and rocks, "stupid weather, making me clumsy" she mumbled to herself, watching her feet carefully now, keeping her eye on his heels. "that's unusual, i never net a Soquili that had such feelings, such senses before. You must be very close to nature" she said matter of factly, concentrating again on not tripping up. "A Cerynei you say, yes i think i've heard mention of your kind, but never actually met one, so you're the first" she said cheerily, trying to keep the mood up, despite the miserable weather. "So where exactly are we going? and What's your name?" she asked content to trust him for the time being, but curisous about him, there was something about him that made her feel comfortable to be near him, not that she was shy around new Soquili though.

Cael grins and keeps walking, his kind did apparently have a closeness to nature but he hadn't been raised by his kind so he knew little to nothing about that. Shrugging. "My mother taught me to read the weather and clouds, when you know what to look for its easy to see the messages there." Shrugging again not really able to explain any better. Heading for a small cave not far from where they had been. "There's a cave in the rock face not far from here, it will give more shelter so you can dry out." Thinking that he might be able to get a fire going too, knowing he had left wood there, and knowing how to set a fire, another thing he had learnt from his human mother. "Don't worry it will be fine."

Takoda shivered again, "wow your mother must have been very clever" she said, "i can tell the weather only when it begins to change, i cant predict anything though, except getting wet, haha" she chuckled, just as she tripped on a log, scraping her ankle as well as twisting it, "ouch!" she yelped, but carried on limping behind the Cerynei, she spotted a larger darkness in the gloom and a flash of lightning illuminated the cave mouth, limping fast past the Cerynei she got into the cave as fast as she could, "are you coming?" she joked before standing away from the entrance and out of the rain, holding her injured leg up off the cold cave floor.

Cael smiles and shakes his head walking in, nosing around in the dark till he finds the wood and dry leaves that he had put in there when he had seen the signs of the storm coming. Feeling around with his nose till he finds the longish stone that was also there, taking it in his teeth and scratching it against the stone under the wood. Sparks starting to shoot out and the kindling catching fire. Stepping back and putting the stone down, before walking over and looking at her ankle a moment before lifting his head to look at her. "Settle by the fire, I'll be back with something to help with your leg, just rest, its safe here and you will be warm and dry soon." Giving a friendly smile as he heads back out into the storm, he wouldn't be gone long.

Takoda flinched as the Cerynei lit a fire, with her eyes wide she gasped "how did you do that?! i didnt think Soquili could light fires, i thought that was a human thing" she said, even more in awe of this big male. Now the fire was lit she could see his pelt more clearly, he was rather handsome, in a mysterious kind of way, smiling weakly at him as he looked at her ankle she said "so what's your name? you never told me before" before he said he would go back out and fetch something for her bad ankle "oh no, please dont go back out there for the simple fact i was clumsy, wait until the rain stops at least" she said quickly, not wanting another Soquili to suffer anything on account of her

Looking embarassed when she said about not knowing his name, he really was hopeless at social things. "I'm Caelius, or Cael if you prefer." Smiling at her as he stands in the mouth of the cave. "I like the rain, its good and healing, besides it will bring fruit and flowers." Seeming pretty cheerful, looking at the fire and giving her a secretive smile. "Well my mother was human so I learnt many things, its simple when you know how to do it, you just have to be careful about where... There is more dry wood further back, so if it needs more just toss some on. I wont be long, I'm going to get something to help with your leg."
Heading out into the rain, gone for about 20 minutes, wandering back in with some leaves and bark, offering her the green bark. "Chew on that it will help ease the pain, my mother used to put it in water and make a tea, but I don't have any of those metal things she held the water in." Peering at her ankle again and putting the other leaves on a flat stone, turning them to mush with one of his cloven hooves, smearing his nose in it so he can apply it to her injured leg. Rinsing off when the ankle was covered in it, the burn and sting fading away as he walks back in, putting more wood on the fire. "There now you can rest and feel better.

Takoda sighed a little, "Well Hello Cael" she said, before she looked at him in complete shock eyes wide, jaw hanging slightly open "wow, that was one good human" she said to his retreating back as he walked out of the cave. While he was gone she moved closer to the fire, drawing the warmth into her cold aching bones, she started to doze off, bathed in the conforting glow. She started awake as he walked back in, offering her some bark and explaining what it was for, she took it and chewed, "eww, not very nice, and hard to chew" she mumbled around the mouthful. She lifted her leg slightly as he applied some of the other stuff mushed up on it, wincing as it stung, laying down near the flames, on a snady bit of the floor of the cave she tried to get rid of the cold chill that seemed to have settled into her bones "thank you Cael" she mumbled, still chewing the bark.

Smiling as he settles near the fire, angled so that he sheltered her from any wind that came in the entrance. "No need to thank me, rest, this storm has a while left in it. When the bark gets softer you can spit it out." Resting his head down, relaxing, glad that she was ok. The fire flicking making the clouds on his pelt seem to shift and move. Seeming at ease with all that was going on. "I don't know if my mother was a good human or a normal one, I'm just glad that she took me home when she found me, I was too young to really remember, I just know that I went from being alone cold and hungry to warm and fed... after that I stayed close, but she was old even by human standards..." Remembering the day she had not woken up, and how he had waited by her window watching over her till other humans came and buried her properly.

Takoda smiled in relief, spitting the bark out as it was getting very soft, she dug a small hole in the sandy floor and buried the bark. Sighing as she felt the wind drop as Cael blocked the entrance slightly "there IS need to thank you, without your help i'd not have shelter right now, and i wouldnt have a warm place to rest the storm out, so i WILL thank you" she said, slightly offended he had turned down her thanks. She gazed at his pelt for a while, watching how the markings seems to move around in the flickering light. listening intently to him talk about his human mother, "well I think she was a good human, after all, if she was as old as you suggest, she didnt have to take care of you, i'm glad she did, if it wasnt for her i wouldnt have met you" she said, taking note that he seemed saddened a little so she refrained from asking him anymore about her, instead she yawned and lay her head on the ground, watching Cael as she drifted off to sleep.

Cael relaxes by the fire, watching the flames while she sleeps. Getting up occasionally to place wood on the fire. Resting his head down and drifting off to sleep for a few hours. Waking to find that she was still asleep, smiling slightly as he gets up and adds another branch to the fire. Checking to see how she was doing before heading out to get some food for them both, hoping to be back before she woke up again. Pretty sure he knew where some treats could be found so he wouldn't be gone for long. Smiling cheerfully as he leaves the cave, the storm having gone leaving cool clean air behind, everything looking much cleaner than it had before. Not sure if that was him or if everyone thought that after a storm.

Takoda woke, she shivered a little since the fire had all but gone out, getting ti her feet, wincing a little as she put her weight on her injured leg, forgetting for an instant. Looking about she saw no sign of Cael, stretching she decided to go outside the cave, blinking as the sunlight hit her eyes, yawning widely she muttered to herself "what a fine day, everything smells much nicer after a storm" Sniffing about she searched for some grass to nibble, the floor of the trees ridden place full of leaves, reaching a rather small clearing she sighed in pleasure, not only was there rich green grass, there was lovely warming sunlight pouring through the gap in the trees. kneeling down in the sun she grazed a little, but mostly enjoying the sun on her back.
