It had been a quiet patrol night so far. Libra's scales were draped over her shoulders and she was practically strolling as she went past the darkened ground of Hillworth. Halfway done her patrol, then she had to get makeup work done, then she could go to bed. Libra's schedule wasn't for the faint of heart, but neglecting her senshi duties made her itch, and being behind in school made her itch, so there was nothing she could do.
At least she hadn't gotten into any serious scrapes yet. Wolframite had hardly been a challenge, and though she was keeping an eye open for the figure who had stolen the Opal Crystal, usually what she found on her patrols was a whole lot of nothing. It made her feel frustratingly useless, but it also meant that she wasn't trying to catch up on her old schoolwork, keep up with new schoolwork, and save her friendship with Tate with a broken arm. The worst she ever got were scrapes and bruises.
She paused as she thought she heard a noise and slung her scales into her hands, looking around cautiously. Just because nothing had happened on other nights, didn't mean she could let her guard down.

Tisiphone had left her apartment for a little fresh air and to pick a few star seeds for a relaxing evening. Since she worked at the Hillworth school, her apartment was within walking distance to it. She had already passed it by, but stopped when her senses gave an alarming tingle. She wasn't sure what sort of energy it was that she was sensing, but it certainly wasn't of the Negaverse.
She kept to the shadows, dark eyes catching site of a strange figure strolling with what looked like.. scales? The girl gave a small smile when the other had noticed her presence, stepping forward at a casual, relaxed pace, "It took me a while, but I do believe you're of the senshi variety."
The corrupted senshi hadn't met one of the Zodiacs before, and other than the tid bits she'd heard at meetings, she remained fairly ignorant of them, "Who, might I ask, are you?" She was tickled pink to have met something out of the ordinary.

She had been expecting a lot of things. Youma, civilian, Negaverse agent, Moon senshi, any of these would have been perfectly normal to run into on a patrol.
What she hadn't expected was, in fact, what stepped out of her, someone she thought was just another senshi until she saw the hole in her chest. Libra blinked rapidly, feeling her stomach flipflop at the sight of the unnatural injury. However, the other girl didn't seem to notice the wound, and so Libra attempted to rally herself, offering "S-sailor Libra. Zodiac soldier of Balance. And yourself?"
Something was off about her. It made Libra uneasy, and she unconsciously gripped her scales a little more firmly in her hands. Noticing the somewhat hostile movement even as she did it, she mentally cursed. She had to collect herself, she had been in Barren Pines! There were far stranger things than this girl, and she had seen them firsthand. If zombies didn't make her uncomfortable, she couldn't let this bother her either. It was hardly diplomacy to act like the person one was addressing was some sort of leper, and so she forced herself to look the girl in the eye. In a stronger tone of voice, she added, "Do you need assistance? Who did that to you?"

Oh ho, so the girl was a zodiac indeed. How intriguing. Tisiphone beamed a little brighter, in that quiet way of hers. It took her a moment to realize that Sailor Libra was referring to her chest. It had come so long ago, prior to her memory loss, that she sometimes forgot it might me unsettling to others. How cute.
"Oh this? It happened in another time, another place." She gave a light shrug, resuming her walk at a slower pace to circle around the other senshi, as if scouting out her prey, "I must admit you're the first zodiac I've met. Are you different only in name?"
She stopped then, leaning forward a bit to look up at the girls face, "I'm curious. Perhaps a peak at your starseed, then?" The dark clad senshi stood upright again, small smile still on her lips, "I am Sailor Tisiphone. Have you ever seen how deep a void goes?" A small, black orb the size of a golf ball formed at her fingertips, rolling between her fingers without actually touching anything but air.

"Not quite." Libra asserted, eyeing Tisiphone cautiously. "I'm stronger than you Moon Senshi."
If she was a Moon senshi. What was she? Libra got tenser and tenser as Tisiphone got closer, and with the comment about her starseed, she began to back up. "If you don't mind, my starseed stays in..." she trailed off as she spoke, she realized what was missing in the picture. Why else would a senshi have a gaping hole in their chest unless they had no...
"Starseed. Where's your starseed?" She tried to keep her voice as pleasant as possible. Tisiphone might still be open to discussion, after all, and if she could find out more about her, it could be useful later. However, Libra's nerves were jangling, and her inner Napoleon was screaming for her to attack as her eyes followed the black orb in Tisiphone's hands. She backed up another step, slowly as she could, eyes never leaving Tisiphone.

"Moon senshi?" Tisiphone laughed then, something that might have sounded sweet at one time, but was short and clipped from lack of use now, "I seem to have misplaced mine a long time ago."
The orb dancing across her fingers stopped its movement, resting at her palm, "Voids Rescind." The black void grew then, the size now of a basketball, "I'm interested in seeing what sort of balance you have." At that, her arm flowed forward like a whip and the black orb shot out towards the other senshi's feet.

Not a moon senshi, no starseed. Libra narrowed her eyes, and then gasped as the orb lashed out at her feet and she jumped. it hadn't been entirely unexpected, fortunately, but her heart was skipping beats now, and she looked up at Tisiphone grimly.
"One more chance," she informed the other senshi (?). "If you attack me once more, I'll go on the offensive." The statement was calmly delivered, but it had an undertone of 'You-wouldn't-like-me-when-I'm-angry' to it. However, Libra was beginning to feel genuinely nervous. If Tisiphone was much stronger than the Moon senshi, she wasn't sure how she'd hold up. Her combat skills were coming along, but she still relied on her scales far too often, and the fact of the matter was that even with senshi powers, Libra's body was still too skinny, too weak to be much good against a seasoned fighter.
Her memories of her past life nagged at her. The former Libra would have been ashamed, but she could at least make sure that she wasn't ashamed of her attempts at diplomacy. Libra was supposed to be the balancer. She was not going to attack without warning someone who wasn't obviously a Negaverse agent or youma, even if they were a hostile.
"This is your last chance to negotiate."

"What are we negotiating, then?" Sailor Tisiphone asked with a neutral face, "If you're making threats, then you must be strong."
She smiled and another orb was at her hand, "I do so hate being bored." Since she hadn't bet a zodiac senshi before, Tisiphone didn't want to kill the girl, or at least not until she had her star seed at hand.
The orb was thrown just slightly off to the left, the same moment she launched herself forward towards the right, aiming to sweep around back and hit the other girl behind the knees to try and make her fall.

"Strong enough to take down another senshi," Libra replied cautiously. "If you desist, I won't attack you-"
She ducked as Tisiphone launched her attack and fell- This senshi, or whatever-she-was was fast. Clearly stronger than Libra herself was, and that in itself was alarming. "Right," she muttered, and aloud, she cried "Libra Power Equilibrium!" Instantly, she felt herself become stronger, far stronger.
s**t, she thought, staring at her opponent, She didn't have a starseed, which was unnerving, but worse than that, she outmatched Libra, and even with power equilibrium, Tisiphone knew more fighting skills that Libra did, even with her training videos and the Zodiac fight club sessions.
She had one minute where they would be even strengthwise, and if Libra couldn't defeat her in that minute, she steeled herself to run like hell. Until then, though, she launched at Tisiphone with her scales, hoping to knock her unconscious, or wrap the ropes around her neck or limbs.

Tisiphone had braced herself the moment the other girl shouted out her.. attack? She blinked, wondering what it was supposed to do, exactly. When Libra swung herself forward, however, Tisiphone barely managed to push herself back, the edge of the scale sweeping against her hair. How the heck did she get so fast?
She gritted her teeth. Libra's movements and stance hadn't given her the impression that the other girl had been that strong. This was bad. The senshi might be as strong as she was, if not more so, with who knows what else hidden up her sleeves.
With Libra in close range now, Tisiphone twisted her body, using the built momentum to swing a full fledged kick at the other senshi's gut, who, for whatever reason, didn't seem to want to stand still and just take it. Her foot got tangled in the cursed ropes that connected Libra's scales, which resulted in Tisi jerking the ropes and nearly losing her balance. She quickly rose a hand pointed at Libra's face, a grin blooming on her own, "I would rather see your star seed while you are alive, you know. Though I've always wondered why we can't harvest seeds from the long since deceased. Interesting, hm?"

Libra twisted the ropes, attempting to cause Tisiphone to fli over and fall, gritting her teeth as she pulled against her opponent's momentum. "Personally, I think that I look better with my starseed in my chest where it belongs." she grunted. "Who played show and tell with your starseed?"
Whatever was up with this senshi, there was nothing Libra could do to help her that was immediately evident, and so she settled for fighting her. However, if she could learn about what happened to her, she could at least try to prevent it from ever happening to herself. She didn't know how Tisiphone wasn't in a coma like the civilians whose starseeds were gone, but she didn't like it one bit.

"Oh come now, chest-mounted star seeds are so out of fashion." Ha! A fashion statement! Her keeper would have been proud, "I can show you how it works, just hold still for a second.." At that Tisiphone grabbed the ropes and gave them a sharp yank, enough to get some slack on them and release her foot.
She quickly spun backwards, putting space between them again. For a moment she almost explained how she did happen to have a star seed, but thought that if the other girl didn't know about it, it wouldn't matter anyways. Her star seed just happened to be embedded with layers and layers of the Negaverse energy.
Both the dark senshi's hands were stiffly at her sides now, a small black circle at the palm of both hands, "Aren't you even a little curious about the nature of star seeds? I wonder if those who die or fall into a coma have dreams." Her voice was light and casual, "I don't really dream myself, so can't say there's much to miss."
Black gloved hands abruptly moved, and the two dark holes were each thrown at an angle parallel to the ground so that they cross as if following an invisible X shape, each orb going to the left and right of the other senshi with Tisiphone launching straight from the middle, her fist drawn back in a punch.
