Liliana sighed as she headed out of the community center. It had been a lot of fun singing for the kids there. They seemed to enjoy it so much and it made Lily very happy. She shivered slightly as she headed down the street toward the park. She pulled her jacket tightly around her shoulder looking up at the setting sun. She was running a bit late and her brother promised he would pick her up today. He did not want her walking home in the dark, no matter how much Lily enjoyed it.
Her ballerina flats clicked against the pavement and her dress swayed gently in the wind. It was a nice cool evening, not to chilly and a great break from the winter. She walked slowly enjoying her alone time and humming a song to herself.
Lily looked up suddenly a chill creeping down her back. She looked around feeling slightly nervous, but so nothing. She released the breathe she did not know she had been holding and continued on feeling very silly.

Jingle, jingle, jingle!
The bell around the cat's neck sang out, obviously defeating her attempts to be a stealthy cat-ninja. Yet for some reason, this red-headed girl had not seen her. She had probably been trying to look for a person, rather than a small feline. The green eyed feline nibbled slightly on the milk tab that was between her teeth just out of the excitement of meeting another new person.
It had all started at that big building. ********* had read the sign before, it was the "community center." Of course, she also had no hands or thumbs or anything that could help her in that building. On occasion, the spotted cat would pass by the center while doing her rounds. Today, that little alarm in her head had sounded off.
There was a Senshi in that building!
With the hopes of finding another one of her girls, she sat there near the door ever patiently, the orangey plastic tab peeking out from her mouth. The red-haired girl exited the building, and simply walked right past the cat. That little mental blip moved as well, which meant ********* had to MOVE IT!
Problem was, the cat's mouth was full, and she wasn't about to drop her current toy. She could have hummed out a mewing sound to get this girl's attention, but instead she was hoping that jingle of the bell about her neck would eventually get this girl's attention.
Jingle, jingle, jingle!

After a few more moments Lily got the feeling she was being watched again and it was truly nerve racking. She looked around again to see nothing, but as she turned forward a sound reached her ears over the clicking of her shoes against the pavement.
She turned looking to the ground thinking maybe someone had lost a toy or something of the sort, but instead she found a cat. Lily gave a soft small smile to the cat. She was beautiful with a little bell collar.
"Were you the one that was watching me," she asked as if the cat could really answer her.'
She knelt down putting her hand in her pocket to see if she had a treat from the shelter in her coat pocket, but the only thing she found was a small piece of toffee. She looked at and sighed, "Can't eat that huh? Sorry kitty I've got no treats for you."
Lily stretched out her hand beckoning the cat forward.

Oh, dearest sweet jingly bell, you never failed *********. You may be slow in your job, but you did what you were supposed to!
The redheaded girl had turned her direction, and right away, the silvery spotted cat began to turn on the charm. She heard the mention of food, and peered up at the hand. Mmmmm, toffee! Certainly, the cat couldn't eat it all in one bite, but she actually could eat it the painfully slow way of licking it until it had dissolved into absolutely nothing.
As if to retort her comment, the green eyed cat mewed out in the most convincing fashion as possible. Guardian cats weren't supposed to be able to communicate like regular cats, but with enough practice, it could be faked for a person. And ********* had a lot of practice, thanks to begging for treats. When the hand was extended her direction, the cat bumped her head affectionately into it, rubbing her head along her fingers as if to say "scratch here please." However, she trilled out another one of those cat sounds, still openly complaining that she wanted the treat.
Unfortunately, that feeling of being watched still would not go away. It was a rather pesky feeling, but it lingered nonetheless.

Lily could help but to pet the cat, making sure to scratch behind her ears. "Oh, but you are just so cute," she said in a sing songy way. She listened to the cat's mews and frowned she really did not think cat's coud have toffy, so she tucked it back into her pocket so that it wasn't visible.
"Sorry kitty," she said standing, "I have to meet my brother soon and I'm sure your owner will be coming for you. I really must be going."
Lily turned and began to head back down the street toward the park. However, the eerie feeling of being followed took her again and she turned back to the cat. "I guess if you are going to keeping watching me than I can stay a little while longer."
Lily headed back over to the cat and reach down to pick her up off the ground. She thought it would be better for them to sit on the steps of the community center. If she took to long to come she was sure her brother would come looking for her.

********* failed.
She failed to get her toffee. However, this cat was not the sort to sulk about such things. It just meant she'd have to get something else to eat later on.
As this redheaded girl up and almost left, ********* nearly called out "You don't want to go that way!" She didn't. In fact, the girl turned right back to the cat before the words could leave her maw. The cat sighed out a puff of a sigh, releasing her hold of her plastic milk tab toy. If the girl had been paying attention, she might have caught such a strange thing. Most felines didn't sigh. However, this pale manx cat apparently did.
********* was about to pick up her momentary companion made of plastic when rather suddenly she was scooped up. Oh no, the milk tab was still on the ground, while ********* was in the arms of...
...actually, this felt nice, and there would be other milk tabs. ********* was such a sucker for being held. She almost instantly began to purr.

Lily grinned as the cat purred in her arms. She was so soft Lily could not help run her hand down the cat's back as she headed for the steps on the community center. She walked up the and sat on the top set before situating the cat in her lap and continuing her petting.
"I really ought to get a kitten," she said thinking out loud.
She looked up watching as the sun began to sink below the buildings and decided it would best to wait for her brother hear now. The odd feeling of being watch she gotten from the cat reminded her of something Azzo had said.
"Looks like I can pet you a bit longer," she said to the cat. "A boy I know doesn't think it wise to walk through the park. Something about odd happening. Bet your not afraid, are you kitty. But, I have no idea what those odd happenings are so I think I had better play it safe."
She laughed at her silent conversation with the cat, "My family would be devastated if something were to happen to me."

When the girl sat down and set the spotted cat upon her lap, the cat stood up. The pale green eyes almost seemed to fix themselves upon the strange vivid blue-green eyes that belonged to the girl. It wasn't a usual feline stare, but one that almost seemed to try and read what this girl really was about.
This girl was Sailor Maia, Senshi of Song.
After such a strange look from the feline, it might have seemed a bit strange that she suddenly began to rub herself up against the girl. Yet, there was a reason she did this.
"Your friend is right, but you still aren't safe. If you want to be safe, I need you to follow me."
Rather suddenly, the cat jumped out of her lap and wandered a ways in front of her before stopping and turning to look back at her.
Wait... had this cat just talked to her?

Lily watch the cat stare at her and something seemed a bit off about her. It was so odd, like the cat was looking into her soul. As quick as the stare began it ended and the cat rubbed against her, causing Lily to smile. She was about to pet the cat once more when the cat spoke.
Lily's eyes went wide, as the cat jumped from her lap. Her hands flew up to her mouth to hide her shock. 'That cat just spoke.' Lily rubbed her eyes blinking hoping that she was dreaming, but when she moved her hand the cat was still there and seemingly waiting for her.
She frowned at the words, at the cat, at the whole situation, but the fact of the matter was the words of Azzo compounded with the words of the cat and odd feelings she had earlier of being watched were hard to ignore.
Lily rose sighing ... 'was she really about to follow a cat.'
Lily followed her wordlessy, thinking that maybe she was dreaming. She had an odd dream earlier in the week and she was sure she would wake before something truly bad happened. Right?

Along the edges of the park there seemed to be some mud. A big splotch of mud along the grass. Perhaps the observant would have noticed that this splotch had almost seemed to follow the girl and cat towards the edge where the building was located, but most people didn't notice such simple things unless they stared for a long time.
The only problem was that the cat. The cat seemed to catch on very quickly as to what was going on. If it was possible for a mud splotch to grumble, it probably would have done such at that very moment.
The cat nodded her head, causing her little bell to jingle. Yes, the cat could nod too. Either way, the cat began to walk silently away from the park's edge. Only when they were a decent distance away, the cat began to glance side-to-side.
It seemed for now, they were alone and free of prying eyes. There also weren't any nearby windows, so the risk of being seen without knowing was also reduced greatly.
With a slight sigh of relief (the cat could sigh?!!), the cat spoke again. "Good, it looks like we are safe."
The cat looked up to the girl, green eyes focused on the blue-green ones. "You know, you were almost made the victim. Your friend is right. The park isn't safe right now."
As an after thought, the pale feline added "By the way, my name is *********>

Liliana hardly noticed the mud splotch that seemed to be following her as she followed the cat along the boundary of the park. It was completely surreal to her and she just couldn't believe that a cat was leading her and even better she was following the cat.
Lily couldn't help but to pull a frown as the cat spoke again, it was just to awkward. Her frown only deepened at the cat's words. 'Victim? Was the park really so dangerous?'
She barely heard ********* introduction as her thought turned to her brother who was supposedly waiting for her by the park. Now she had to know, what it was that was so dangerous. Her heart was racing at the thought of her brother being in danger, this dream felt to real.
"My brother," she whispered turning to look back in the direction they come. "********* what is so dangerous about the park? My brother is waiting for me there. My brother could be in danger?"
Her blue-green eyes stared down at the cat her fear evident. Why were her nightmare's focused on her brother. She wondered if something bad was going to happen to him.

********* looked at the girl. She was not looking at her for a moment, and the temptation to headbutt her leg tickled the feline's brain for a moment before the eyes came back to her. Oh good!
"Well, I suppose anybody and everybody could be in danger," the cat continued on, "but it seemed like it was following you in particular."
Without any further explanation, the cat suddenly just did a small backflip. It was as if she was spring-loaded and mechanical with the way she did it. Yet within that small space that she had just jumped over, appeared two items. One looked like a pen, while the other looked like a phone. Both items were immediately in front of the small manx.
"Put this one someplace safe for now" she instructed carefully, pointing a paw at the phone. She wasn't about to let another senshi accidentally wander off and nearly leave it behind like she had with Eos. Then her paw bobbed onto the next item, pointing at it while looking up at the girl.
"This one."
Pause.
"Take this one, hold it up, and shout out 'Maia Power Make-Up!' And just so you know, you have to say it like you mean it!"
Another pause. "What are you waiting for? Hurry and do that!" One thing that was nice about *********, was when she seemed agitated, she still managed to somehow keep a friendly air to her voice, no matter the urgency. Astraea should take lessons from her.

Lily couldn't relax at ********* statement. On one hand her brother technically was in danger at the moment, but on the other something was following her. 'Wait a minute .... following me.'
Lily felt very tense, this was not like the nightmare she'd had before, but it was getting odder by the sec just as the previous one had. Started of normal and them wham, left turn, Weirdville.
She watch ********* little acrobatic move and allowed a small smile for the trick and the magic it seemed to produce. 'A pen and a cellphone, how neat.'
Lily bent down to look at them more closely as ********* began to address her. 'They were for her.' Lily guess it made sense after all it was her dream, not matter how weird and how unbelievable.
She found herself just starring at the items even though ********* had given her instructions to do so. She really did not want the items feeling as though taking them good could be the turning point in the odd dream she was having. However, ********* instance drew her from her thought.
She quickly picked up her phone and tucked into her jacket pocket, before grabbing up the pen and standing. She held it up and immediately felt completely ridiculous. It was just an absurd request, even for a dream.
"Maia Power Make-up," she said loudly, but without much emphasis.
Nothing happened and Lily hand dropped to her side the pen held loosely in it. She looked to ********* giving her a now what look.

"No, no, no, NO!" The cat shook her head in disapproval.
"You gotta say it like your life depends on it! Like your brother's life depends on it! If you can't do that much, then I suppose you will both be doomed." The cat looked at her sharply and insistently requested "Try again!"

Lily frowned taken aback by being yelled at by a cat. Though the cats words truly sank in this time. Lily held up the pen. 'Here goes nothing.'
"Maia Power Make-up," she practically sang.
