This is the official RP thread for the Pokemon Mafia. Feel free to post here.

Dawn breaks on the Johto continent, painting the sky like a work of fine art. To an onlooker, sunrise is a silent and peaceful time. Those enjoying it from the hills don't hear the simultaneous triggering of the entire nation's alarm clocks, nor the chorus of sleepy grunts from the residents who search blindly for the snooze button, burying their heads under their pillows to hide from the morning sun. It's funny how something can be a miracle of nature or a nuisance, depending on how you look at it. Johto will soon find the same is true of more than just sunrises.
((yes, I know that the image is sunset, and it's Italy, not Johto, but ******** you it's pretty mad ))

Ahem.Owwin's land must have been blessed. It could grow just about anything he had put there. Rice in the River Field, wheat by the Road Field, when he planted cornn berries the stalks shot up tall as a Dragonair. He grew tomatos, pumkins, eggants, and sometimes if the temperature was right that year, he would grow sitrus. Apicots were Owwins, favorites, and he had just one Apicot tree out back that he took extra special care of, and made jam and bread. Still, his farming was a hobby, and he had hired hands do most of the work. It brought in some extra cash for his research, and fed all of the pokemon, but he was one of the Pokemon Professors career wise. Owwin sat on his porch, and looked out at the land and all of the pokemon he had on it. Many weren't his, they were here in storage so they didn't have to sit in PCs, but he loved them just the same. They would get strong and might some day be passed on from their owners to their children, the long lived ones may see generations of trainers before they were retired. Owwin thought about it and he knew that it was his calling in life to keep these pokemon healthy so they could keep the trainers healthy.

Zephy was one of the many disgruntled denizens of Kanto who, following Johto's lead about an hour beforehand, searched out their snooze button and denied the dawn its triumph. Her victory, however, was short-lived, as she was shaken awake by her housepet Bulbasaur. Sunlight meant breakfast time.
"Alright, alright," she grumbled, rolling out of bed and hastily getting dressed. Bulbasaur followed her, practically bouncing, down the hall, and chanted impatiently at her while she sliced up a big apple and sprinkled a little cinammon on it. She left it on the windowsill, and went to make coffee while her pet happily munched away in the sunlight.
Today was a big day. She was setting out for Johto via the greatest cruise ship in the world, the S.S. Anne. The Goldenrod Radio Station was holding their annual Pokemon convention with a tournament offering a million Poke as a grand prize; she still couldn't believe she had actually won tickets this year!
Zephy finished her coffee and laced up her shoes, putting Bulbasaur in his Pokeball and rinsing the dishes. Slinging her purse around her shoulder and locking the door behind her, she got on her bicycle and rode down the peaceful morning streets of Cerulean City. All she could think about as she rode down the path to Saffron and eventually Vermilion was how much she was going to eat at the lunch buffet and how it was all going to be free.

After many pit-stops on the long, Surf journey from Sinnoh, Hashire awakens to the sunrise off a small unnamed island off the coast of Vermillion. He enjoys a small breakfast with his team amongst a nice breeze. After enjoying the morning, he returns his crew to their Pokeballs with the exception of Leviathan, his Gyarados. With Vermillion City clearly visible off the coast, he sets off on Leviathan to the Docks in hopes of catching the S.S. Aqua to Olivine City to start his conquest of the Johto League.

Violet walked past the Olivine gym, and swore she saw a line forming. She rolled her eyes, and continued walking. She knew the S.S. Anne came today, and she loved watching new trainers come into town. Mostly, she loved seeing all the new pokemon not native to Johto. She and Espeon walked through the crowds of people. A street vendor tried to sell her a balloon, another tried to groom Espeon. She shrugged them off, and made her way to the pier. She took her camera off of her neck, and snapped a few photos of the people awaiting the boat.
Last time the boat came in, it came with an interesting little stowaway, Which Violet took in. No one in Olivine city had ever seen such a thing. It appeared to be a Mr. Mime, but it was tiny. And never grew up. A few people told her it was from another region which probably let Mr. Mime's breed differently, due to climate or something.
She let Mime Jr. go, and he crawled up onto her head. He drummed on her goggles a few times, and watched her take pictures.

With a heavy sigh, Ota laid out his Pokeballs. It was time to decide who take on his journey to Olivine. He had already predicted that Celebi would appear at the top of the lighthouse. "Who to take..." he said, gazing upon his collection of hundreds of Pokemon. "Hmm... It's time to let Group A out of the bag." he thought out loud. Vigoroth, Mamoswine, Togekiss, Crocnaw, Slowking, and Breelom's Pokeballs were grabbed and clipped to his belt.
"Pichu?" The small cry came from behind Ota. "Oh, hey! You want to come too?" he smiled at the Pikachu-colored Pichu. "Pichu Pichu Pi! it yipped happily. "I just hope Officer Jenny doesn't stop me for carrying too many Pokemon..." he smiled. "Pi?"; Pichu leaped into his bag and hid. With a cute wink, it closed the bag, which amused Ota. "Heh. Let's go, buddy."; Ota grabbed the bag and walked out.
"Let's take the short route. Togekiss! Go!" Ota said, tossing Togekiss' Pokeball into the air. It burst open, and a flash of red materialized into Togekiss. "Togekiss!" it said happily. "Use Fly, towards Olivine!" he said; taking a leap while Togekiss flew underneath him and flying off with him towards the port city.

There was a lot of commotion below for Olivine being such a small city, then again having Goldenrod as a neighbor made Owwin see most cities as small cities. Owwin had called in some help to take care of the farm and his research while he was away, he loaded up the legal limit of 6 of his pokemon and was riding a borrowed Fearow from a friend up north. "Helah." Owwin was taken down to the streets by his carrier. "Anro ah can. Can arro tan." The Fearow understood, took to the sky and headed back to Goldenrod. He could have spoken too it in his native tongue, but pokemon responded better to the language their trainer's used. It seemed to make them more comfortable.
Owwin was supposed to meet a colleague from Kanto here, but he decided that he would explore the little stands that always seemed to pop up when ships with tourists came around. He let his pokemon stretch their legs and look at the trinkets.
EDIT: there were a lot of trainers flying in, taking photos, and buying souvenirs. There was some contraband smuggled in, but nothing dangerous or even serious. He almost bought a new pipe for his Croagunk back home, but decided that he didn't want it smoking inside anyway, and shouldn't encourage it.

After about a half hour of flying, (and many 'encounters' with flying Spearows) Ota and Togekiss weren't very happy. "Watch out, Togekiss!" Ota shouted. However, Togekiss was too busy crying at the Spearows in the other direction. "AAAAH!" he screamed, they were about to collide with the broad side of a barn. "PIIII!""KIIIIISS!" the Pokemon yelled as well; they crashed hard against the barn.
Ota and Togekiss slid down slowly and painfully. Once they reached the bottom, he silently recalled Togekiss. "Moomoo farm..." Ota noted, gazing at all the Miltank grazing peacefully. "Oh well... Olivine isn't too far from here." he got up dizzily and fell again. "Ugh..." Ota said. "What I wouldn't give for a Heal Bell right now..." he noted dully. Wobbling up once more, Ota started on his trek to Olivine. 'I might as well catch a Miltank or Tauros while I'm here..' he thought to himself.

When the Olivine sighting was mentioned over the P.A., Zephy was in the mess hall, hastily stuffing her pockets with the remnants of the buffet. They were just going to throw it out anyway, after all, and damned if she was paying a thousand Poke a meal at the convention all weekend. She and Bulbasaur looked almost comically large coming out onto the deck, her pockets and his cheeks stuffed to overflowing with leftovers. Like master, like pet.
She saw the persistent flashing of a camera as the crowd came into view, and cursed, tilting her hat so the brim covered her eyes. She was not about to show up in a foreign newspaper looking like s**t when she'd be on the cover of next month's Saffron Scoop as GoldenCon's new champion. cool Oh, yeah.
She double-checked before she zipped up her purse - 4500 Poke, 6 balls on her belt... everything seemed to be in order. Time to haul a**. She tried to be as inconspicuous as possible as she wheeled her bike down the ramp and took her place among the sea of people.
"Ugh, I hope the whole frickin' region isn't this crowded."

Along the way to Olivine, Ota had grown tired of walking. Mamoswine was now his mount, and Ota was having fun riding on it's back. "Yeah!" he grinned. "Mamo!" the giant beast roared as it broke down a fence. An angry rancher yelled at the Pokemon and his master. "Soooooooorry!" Ota yelled, tossing some Poke from his pocket out.
A few minutes later, he was already in Olivine. Ota was a bit disgruntled at the fact that he hadn't caught any Pokemon on the way here, and was considering turning around to catch one. Mamoswine stopped for no one or anything; people screamed in terror as the prehistoric behemoth ran through town. "Sorry! Sorry!" was all that could be heard in the wake of it's run. "Hey! HEY! STOP!" he yelled at the Pokemon.
"MAMO!" it cried, without stopping. "I- uh... Uh..." Ota fiddled around with his Pokeballs, trying to find Mamoswine's ball.

"Woah" Violet said to herself, spinning around on the spot, and seeing a large Mammoth pokemon parading through the street. "Hold on, Mimey" She said, and Mime Jr. gripped tight onto her goggles. She ran back towards the street.
She aimed her camera up at the Mamoswine, and snapped a photo "What is that?!" She called to the trainer. She snapped another photo. She snapped a few more. The street was mostly clear now, most people being scared of the Pokemon.

"H-What?!" Ota yelled, trying to stop the giant behemoth of a Pokemon. After a second, he got it to spin around and grind to a halt. "It's... It's... It's a Mamoswine..." he said, looking at Violet. "And he is VERY, VERY, SORRY." Ota said, lightly kicking Mamoswine. "Mamo..."; it said looking down guiltily.
"Yeah, this Pokemon is a fossil... I found it in my research up in Snowpoint City in the Sinnoh region..." Ota said, trying to calm down. He readied Mamoswine's Pokeball to retrieve it.

"Snowpoint City..." She said in awe. "That's so cool" She looked at the ground. "I haven't really left Johto, save for once. I vacationed on Cinnabar, in the Kanto region" Mime Jr was scared of the big pokemon, he now had Violet's goggles over his own head, like a helmet. "This is Mimey. I believe he's from Sinnoh, but no one here knows. Do you?" She pointed to the cowering pokemon on her head, as she stepped a few steps closer. She steadied her hand, and touched the giant mammoth Pokemon. He was soft.
"So, what are you in town for?"

Ota smiled at the cute Mime Jr. "Come here, little fellow! Yeah, you're a nice one!" he smiled at it. "Pi?" the Pichu jumped out of the bag and tackled down Mime Jr., dancing playfully around the baby Pokemon. "These belong to you." he said, grabbing Violet's goggles. "... Yeah, this cute little Pokemon is a baby Pokemon, it evolves into Mr. Mime when it learns Mimic. They're native to Sinnoh..." Ota said, moving closer to the trainer in order to hand her her goggles.
"Sinnoh is a beautiful region, and I recommend you visit it. As for your last question; I'm here to attempt a capture on Celebi, or it's time traveling partner, Spiky Eared Pichu." he answered. A smile crossed his lips as he saw the sparkles left behind by the shiny Pichu's dance.
"Mammo...." the mammoth Pokemon cried happily. ice crystals fell from it's mouth.

Violet aimed her camera and shot a picture of the Shiny Pichu. "I just love Shinies" She said. My cousin has one. An Eevee. I'm SOOOO jealous. He's from the same litter as my Espeon here. "Piooon" Espeon cooed, from behind VIolet. "Huh. It reminded me of Mr. Mime. I just hasn't ever heard of it before. That's interesting, but I think I'll keep him like he is" She stuck her goggles back on the top of her head.
"Celebi, eh?" She looked into the sky. "That would be the most amazing thing" She imagined actually getting a picture of a Celebi. "I got a picture once of the Legendary Lugia once. It was kinda far away, though"
Violet smile and Watched Mimey and Pichu play together.
