Dimitri sighed with frustration and stomped on the ground, "Where in the world AM I?! This godforsaken forest is just impossible!" He shook his head, mumbling some more in annoyance, before continuing to plod through the trees. The funny thing was, that he actually had no where in particular to go. Perhaps the thing that angered him the most was that he had nothing to do. Dimitri was not the adventurous type, but he did enjoy having things happening around him, which, at the moment, was not the case. He snorted in surprise as the trees suddenly began to thin out, and the scent of a meadow traveled on the wind. A changed of scenery? That would be nice, after all those gosh darn trees of course...

Nokomis was in a wandering mood, she wasn't one for staying still on a normal day, but today encouraged her to wander more than usual. Her wings caught in the light breeze for a moment and she paused in her soft step, she gave a soft heaving breath, enjoying the wind. It was a great part of her home. Today the wind wasn't alone, the forest was scented oddly, but not badly.

"I wonder where he is." She smiled sweetly, voice sugar coated and head high, searching with her redish orange eye's. She was near by him and made sure to make lots of noise trying to find him, so as not to startle.

Dimitri herd the rustling of feathers overhead, and tilted his his back, looking for the source of the sound. There was the scent of orchids; a scent that made him slightly curious, thought not entire intrigued. The sun glinted of his bejeweled mask- a mask that he hadn't taken off in front of other since he left his herd when he was still young, a mask the completely obscured his eye from the viewing world. Some people called it unsightly, Dimitri through it made him mysterious. So, he stepped further forward from the tree, looking around for this large, winged creature, wondering who he was going to run into that day.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:59 pm

All the day long Nokomis assumed she'd run into to somebody, in fact she had wished for anybody. The Mother Nature of all mares enjoyed the outdoors and the views as much as the next, if not more, but still admired a good friend or two. She'd met a few since her landing in this forest and was soon intrigued by what she saw.

The stallion before her had a pelt of all black and gold markings. He was an eye-catching one for sure, she was shocked she hadn't noticed him before. he wore peculiar items, a coat, a cape and a mask, but she pushed those aside and stepped forward. She noted how beautifully his mane and tail shone in the sunlight through the trees.

"Quite a prize we have here.' She laughed softly to herself before intruding on hsi search for her. She met the mask where an eye seemed to be hidden with a warm stare, almost affectionate to the stranger. She wasn't afraid to confront things.

"Hello there." Her wings rustlings came to a halt as she spoke.

Dimitri paused as a full-blown Angeni landed on the ground in front of him. She was beautiful, not doubt about that, but Dimitri was not going to be fooled by a pretty face again– there were disastrous consequences last time. He chuckled and smiled playfully, his white teeth gleaming against his black fur, "For me to be a prize, I would have to be an object that was won from a game. I would actually like to believe I am more than an object..." Dimitri nodded and continued sweetly, "Hello yourself. And what, may I ask, brings you down from the skies this lovely morning?"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 08, 2010 10:35 pm

The angeni blushed deeply, she had not meant it in a game prize, but then again she hadn't much for 'people' skills. "Well.. I meant a catch, a beauty." She said, admiring him at a closer distance now, she couldn't help, but see the beauty in everyone. Colors to shades and quirks to bland. She loved it all.

"I'm just wandering my home, this forest.' She said, her voice was strong, bold, proud. She wasn't one for being hateful, disgusted or critical at any point. Though she had her opinions on things. "Why are you alone pretty stallion?" Her voice carried a quick and genuine concern. She hoped he was alright.

Dimitri chuckled and flashed his smile again, "A beauty, aye? You are going to fill my head with hot air, fair Angeni! And then what will we do, when I start to float away..." He loved playing the part of the tease, it was so much fun to see if others would play along, get offended, or if they would get flustered... or perhaps their reaction would be completely random!

"Well, a wandering soul is said to have no destination. They say that sometimes the destination is where you are at every moment of everyday. Oh, don't mind my philosophical mumbo jumbo... it will probably give you just as big of a headache as I give myself." He snickered and continued lightheartedly, "I've been alone for a very long time, gentle lady". Dimitri leaned forward and whispered playfully, as thought telling a secret, "Between you and me, I think it makes me seem mysterious..."

'My what a queer horse!' She thought excitedly, her head was clouded with his 'nonsense' already. The mumbo jumbo caught her eye' though and made her smile deeply. This stallion had a lot of character.

"Well, if it wasn't because of that, it'd be because of your darling mask you wear." She pointed to the mask with her long feminine snout. "Why do you wear such a thing, no matter how beautiful, it hides you?" She asks, her voice genuine still and caring, almost loving towards this 'stranger'.

"Why don't you let us have a peak?" Her smile glowed on.

Dimitri tossed his head, though the mask stayed firmly in place and replied spookily, as if telling a ghost story, "No one has seen me without my mask since I was a foal..." However, he soon followed it with a charming smile, "I think it adds to the mystique. I mean, I can't say that I never take it off... that would be unsanitary! But, Soquili being the curious creatures they are, will always... without fail... ask for a little peak under my mask during the duration of any acquaintanceship. It always makes me chuckle, seeing the ladies pout and the gentlemen get frustrated and angry when I tell them I won't take it off."

It was rather unnerving for most Soquili– talking to a Soq while looking into two black shadows where eyes and most of his expression should be. They didn't like that they couldn't tell his real mood, like if his smile actually ever reached his eyes. He had his own reasons for keeping it on, ones that he didn't often disclose.

He smiled gently, hoping not to offend such a lovely lady too much, "Your lovely smile makes it difficult for me to resist the temptation, but I must insist that my mask stays on... I hope you understand..."

Curiosity struck a deep chord in the pit of her belly. She ached for a moment, catching a hint of pain in his explanation. "To each their own!" She says happily, respecting the male fully well. It was his face after all, he could do what he wished, though she wouldn't stop to try and see him without it.

"Got something to hide??" She asks, teasing him happily, she hoped he didn't take her teasing the wrong way. She meant it in well manner and hadn't meant to pry either.

Her mood was no where near being swayed by what he said. He was his own stallion, she admired that. Something that some don't have anymore. "You are one of a kind!" Then realizing that she hadn't introduced herself.

"I forgot, my name is Nokomis, I am, Mother Nature." She said, pride strong in her voice. "What is your name?" She asked, smile plastered to her jaw.

He nodded to her statement of 'to each their own' and replied,"Touche my fair lady! I must say, I am truly pleased you believe in such a thing." He paused and smirked broadly, "Something to hide? Only my radiant beauty... I'm actually doing the world a service, keeping such a sight hidden under a protective shield!" Dimitri new of course that she was playing around; him being the master tease, Dimi always enjoyed those who teased back. It was never much fun for very long if someone kept getting offended by silly little things.

"A pleasure to meet you Nokomis, also known as Mother Nature. I will be sure to remember such a lovely name and such a lovely face for a very long time to come." He paused and replied to her question with a smirk, "Well, my name is series of letters used to identify myself from others. It may be a word, or a variation of an ancient word, or simply a pleasant mix of syllables." Dimitri chuckled, knowing full well she didn't ask for a definition, but that was just how he worked. After moment he chuckled to himself, "My name is Dimitri".

She liked this stallion, he was nice and had a fantastic sense of humor. "Dimitri. I like the sound of that!" She smiled, and fluttered her wings a bit. Her cheeks were still flushed by his comments, such flattery never ceased to make her blush up a storm.

"Well, maybe one day Dimitri, I will have the pleasure of seeing what's behind the mask." She winked slightly, happily playing around with this horse. He would be a fun new friend, and hopefully a good friend for a long while.

Dimitri laughed, "Perhaps one day when I'm older and wiser, I'll reveal my face to the world. But at the rate I'm going, I'm getting older, but not much wiser..." He tossed his head playfully and looked around, remembering how hungry he was. "Hey, would you happen to know if there are any fruit trees around here? I'm in the mood for something sweet to munch on."
PostPosted: Tue Mar 23, 2010 7:44 pm

Noko did in fact know of a very fruitful apple tree nearby, it held the sweetest apples she'd ever tasted before and she often treasured it as her prize when a day had gone well. This seemed a great time as all to have such a treat.

"Well, old and not wise, Dimitri I have a treat for you!" She smiled and winked off the statement as a tease. She then wandered right back to where she had come from, well an in between. "Just come along!" She called over her shoulder, she was becoming impatient, her apples wouldn't wait for just anyone after all! She giggled at the thought, perhaps they would.

"You'll absolutely love these apples, they are juicy as can be, taste sweet as anything and will only make you want more, though as all apples they do give quite a stomach ache." She blushed lightly and laughed. She'd learned that the hard way.

Dimitri pranced happily after Noko, happy at the idea of having an apple. He chuckled and replied, "Well, any sweet thing can give you a stomach ache if you eat too much... But, I must say, I DO have a bit of a sweet tooth..." Dimitri smirked to himself, and it sounded as though he wasn't actually referring to the apple. He wondered if it would fluster Noko, or make her laugh– he hoped for the later. "I've come to find that natural sweetness can be enjoyed for much longer than added artificial sugars. Faked sweetness can turn sour much faster than the genuine kind." He smiled broadly, wondering if he would catch his hidden compliments. Perhaps he was being too cryptic again, maybe he should try to be a little bit less head-ache inducing?

Trotting up next to her, he began to hum quietly, a little song he had learned when he was younger. It was a pretty popular tune, but since Dimi like the melody so much he didn't mind that it wasn't that original.

(The little tune he is humming is a play off Greensleeves)
