High above the peaceful Weyr the Rukbat star hung high in the sky glowing ever brightly in the sky as a blue dragon by the name of Javareth appeared above the Weyrbowl. Javareth and his female rider, Nevaeh were fairly new to the Weyr having only been assigned to Rias Weyr the day before. Now the two were making their first appearance to the Weyr.

Javareth circled once around the bowl getting a feel for the place before setting down in a clearing of the bowl. Nevaeh sighed and then took in a deep breath of the air of Rias Weyr. The place held new everything for the blue dragon and his rider. Friends were all they would need to really become part of the Weyr.

Not too long after the blue dragon appeared out of between, another dragon made his appearance. Pericolath, he and his rider also transferring to the Weyr, glided gently downwards.

P'las glanced about the Weyr. How long do you think we'll last at this one?

If you behaved, we would be able to stay much longer.

But that's not fun.
P'las whined to his dragon. It was almost becoming a game, to see how long a Weyr could endure him before he was shuffled off towards another Weyr.

The bronze spotted the blue dragon upon the ground and made for a landing space not too far from the fellow dragon. Greetings. My rider and I have been transferred here. I am Pericolath and Mine is P'las. Apparently, Peri hoped that the blue would know where they were supposed to go.

Javareth glanced over at the bronze dragon who had landed close by and now spoke to him. Hello Pericolath. I am Javareth and this is my rider, Nevaeh. We too are new to this Weyr. Javareth said he too had hoped for some information but alas none would come.

Nevaeh looked over at the bronze as well and smiled as Javareth gave her the information the Pericolath had given him. "Hello there bronze rider P'las. I'm Nevaeh, rider of this blue brut Javareth. So you're new too?" Nevaeh said seemingly hoping to find a friend in this bronze rider if not just an acquiantance.

Zelith bugled a welcome to the newcomers and altered his course towards them instead of carrying Rinfala towards his bath. She sighed as he backwinged to a landing near the two. "Hello there!" she called out as she slipped down from her dragon's shoulder. "Wingrider Rinfala here."

And I am Zelith.

Pericolath relayed the blue's information just as his rider did the same. P'las was a bit used to such doubletalk after 14 Turns of riding a dragon and didn't miss a beat. "Yes, we are, bluerider Nevaeh." The man slid down the bronze's side, turning as Peri rumbled a greeting to the brown.

Greetings, Zelith.

P'las strode to the brownrider, bowing his upper torso in greeting. "Hello, Rinfala. I am P'las and that bronze there is Pericolath."

Nevaeh nodded and slid from Javareth's neck to the ground. Giving Javareth's dark blue hide aloving pat Nevaeh stepped over to Rinfala and P'las. "I'm Nevaeh." She said bowing her head to Rinfala.

And I am Javareth. Javareth said nodding his light blue freckled muzzle to the brown dragon in greeting. It was interesting to meet two new dragons and riders on their first few minutes in the Weyr but neither minded. The company made things easier.

Rinfala nodded respectfully. "Good to meet you, Nevaeh, P'las." She gave them both an appraising look. "You're new transfers, aren't you? I transferred in a few sevendays ago, so I can help show you around a bit." She eyed them a bit. "You might want to check in with the Weyrwoman first, or perhaps the Weyrleader. That way you know what weyr you've got, and I can help you find it. Besides, we might end up in the same wing." She grinned, blue eyes sparking a bit. "Would be nice being around a bronze that didn't irritate the living daylights out of Zelith." Her mouth tightened at the thought of Enelth. Right off the bat, Zelith had taken up a strong dislike for the older bronze, bordering nearly on defiance.

He is arrogant and a fool, Zelith stated flatly. Carries himself as if he thinks himself even better than a queen. But you don't seem like that, Pericolath, Javareth. He inclined his head to the other males.

Good boy.

Well, it would be hard for anyone to be more arrogant than Enelth. Zelith's tone was matter-of-fact.

P'las blinked at the brownrider's remarks. Wasn't a brownrider Weyrleader? But it didn't sound like that from Rinfala's comments about an irritating bronze.

The queen Rose recently and a bronze won. Zelith does not like this bronze. I think others think the same. Was Peri's private aside to P'las.

Great. We come to a Weyr with a disliked Weyrleader. P'las repressed a sigh, nodding to Rinfala. "Yes, I suppose we'd best. Perhaps we should speak with the Weyrwoman?" Best avoid a disliked man if at all possible.

Nevaeh nodded to P'las's comments on seeing the Weyrwoman instead of the Weyrleader. "I agree. A newly stated Weyrleader may not be the best choice to speak with. The Weyrwoman may know more of what we need to do to get everything settled." Nevaeh said but truthfully she didn't want to get anywhere near a bronzerider or even a bronze dragon that had even the slightest chance of having a puffed up ego.

I believe we will avoid the dragon Enelth as much as possible. I do not want to hear the bronzes boasting. Javareth told Nevaeh keeping it between him and her alone.

Nevaeh half laughed and shook her head. "So where would we find the Weyrwoman?" Nevaeh asked looking over at P'las and then to Rinfala.

((*snerks* It's gonna be funny when she realizes she's in M'xan's wing. Or is the Solar wing what's commonly known as the Weyrleader's wing?))

Rinfala gestured up towards the Weyrwoman's weyr. "I'd have your dragons bespeak Ariath first to make sure she's not busy first, though. I'd come up but it might get a bit crowded up there on the ledge. When you guys are done, though, I'll probably be here if you wish to speak."

P'las nodded, following Rinfala's gesture up towards the Weyrwoman's Weyr. Yes, a wise idea, having the dragons bespeak the gold first. The man glanced over at his bronze, then to Nevaeh. "Shall we, then?"

Nevaeh glanced up towards the Weyrwoman's weyr and then over at P'las and nodded. "No better time than the present." Nevaeh said looking over at Javareth seemed more to sense her question than hear her ask it.

Yes mine. We will bespeak Ariath now. Javareth said going silent as he reached out for the golden queen to inform her of their need of her rider. Nevaeh looked back over at P'las and shrugged. "I guess we wait for Ariath's reply now." Nevaeh said glancing back up at the Weyrwoman's weyr.
