It was only the ferocious sunshine that lit up the outside world that had drawn Lirona out of her self-imposed cocoon that day. As much as she had tried to ignore it, the first real sign of spring was too much for even her to deny, and so she was wandering a little aimlessly, window-shopping a little, basically just enjoying the sunshine. Jake had her cellphone clamped in a vice grip and reared up at everyone who passed the transgirl, flicking open the phone threateningly as if it would deter them. Which, let's be honest, it probably did, although more for the sake of being weirded out than any fear. These antics were lost to Lira as she perused the shops, trying to reacquaint herself with the Outside World.
On her little journey, she happened upon a very strange store, some kind of wonky mix between a coffee shop and a library. Despite its weirdness, it struck her as a kind of place that was quiet and comforting, two things that greatly appealed to the spawn at this point, so she made her quiet way in, peering around a little hesitantly. "Um... hello? Is-Is anyone here?" As much as the place seemed comforting, its deserted state - at least at present - put Lira on edge. As it rightly should.

A little voice, a voice so familiar, made a man's head turn in that direction. He blinked a couple times, "Lira..? Lira, is that you..?" Ty was wearing his work apron over a stripped shirt and jeans. The cyclops walked over to the transvestite with a smile and a book in his hand. There was no one in the shop today because it was one of those slow days, and Tykier was actually starting to get bored. "It's nice to see you again."

Lirona jumped a little at the reply to her timid query, having honestly not really expected one, but smiled gently at her friend and entered the shop fully, for once aware of Jake's aggressive swaying and becoming a little embarrassed by it. She walked a little slowly into the odd shop, glancing around it before directing her attentino back to Ty.
"H-Hi, Ty. It's nice to see you too," she replied with a sweet and genuine smile, fidgeting gently. "I-I didn't know that you worked here. Um, in that case, I suppose I should be asking you to get me something to drink...?" She laughed nervously; she wasn't used to asking people that were her friends for things. It just felt... weird.

Tykier chuckled a little, "No worries! I'm a worker here, so it doesn't really bother me..! Plus, it's my job!" He smiled at her, "So what would you like..?" Ty put down the book on the table next to him. It was his all-time favorite, To Kill a Mockingbird.

Lirona laughed along with her friend, trying to mask her embarrassment behing it and only succeeding marginally. A small blush, practically unnoticible, spread across her cheeks at the smile and she looked over the menu quickly. "Um... Can I just have some tea please? Um, Earl Gray," she added quickly.
As she looked back to the other spawn, her eyes fells upon the book he'd placed on the table, and she smiled a little in excitement. "Oh, I've seen that book before! Is it any good?" Though she wasn't dumb, Lira wasn't really one for the classics when it came to literature. It was more romance and mystery novels for her. And girly magazines.

"Ah, good choice! I like Dragonwell green tea, myself..." Tykier hummed and started to boil the water. He was glad there was no one else coming. Ty looked back, and smiled, "Yes, it is extraordinary! It tells how the narrator, a girl, grows up. I mean, there are many conflicts in the novel. And how she befriends an "evil" man named Boo Radley." He could just go on and on with the book, that's how much he adored it.

Lirona beamed at the approval of her choice, shifting self-consciously on her feet and inspecting the counter top for lack of anything else. "Th-Thank you... I've never had dragonwell tea before," she added almost as an afterthought, musing gently to herself in this quiet atmosphere.
When Ty began describing the book with such passion, she was honestly a little surprised, but smiled despite of it. It must be an amazing book if it got him so worked up! Leaning over, she checked the title again: 'To Kill A Mockingbird. - Harper Lee' Huh. Smiling brightly, she looked back up at Ty. "Wow, that sounds very interesting! I'll pick it up the next time I have a chance, thanks for the recommendation." She looked forward to having a new good book to read; as of late, she had read, re-read, and -re-re-read almost every book she owned.

((Frighteningly, this rp is making me a little riled up... xD))
Tykier turned around and smiled, "No problem... It'll take sometime to have the water boil, though... I first had Dragonwell tea when I was with Eve..." His voice trailed off, and he sounded sad a little. He looked up, and smiled.
When he heard that Lira was going to read it, he smiled a little more, "You'll probably like it..."

Lirona didn't miss the sad tilt in Tykier's voice, but decided to let it pass; she didn't want to talk about sad things today unless she had to. She smiled lightly and shrugged when she heard that the tea was going to take a while, and slipped onto a stool. "That's alright. I, uh, don't really mind waiting," she said with the lightest flourish of her wing, a bit of her old humor coming back.
Her smile brightened when she saw Ty's get wider, and she nodded. "Probably. I don't know, I've never read any book like that before. Usually it's... less serious stuff," she ended up mumbling, twirling a bit of her hair and glancing at the ground. She wasn't exactly sure why she was embarrassed about that; it just seemed a little frivolous, she supposed. Gnawing lightly at her lip, she cast around for something to talk about, then went for the general. "S-So, Ty. How have you been since I last saw you? Besides, y'know, bigger," she added with a small giggle. It was hard to believe that they had first met back when she was a toddler...
