You, BakaTulip, have come across the promotional 80s music video starring Sarah Brightman and Steve Harley.
The music video was made to see how the music would fair in public. The lyrics are, yes, different, but they were changed before the musical along with the Phantom, who became Michael Crawford instead.
Very cheesy, but it's a nice little video. Remember, it was the 80s. Crazy hair and crazy videos.

This could get me lynched, but I am quite fond of Steve Harley's performance in the song.
Yes, it is 80s, but his voice is just so hypnotizing at the ed, suggestive, alluring, it makes me happy.

I like the way his voice blends with SB, I really do... it's the way his mouth moves... and his acting... it cracks me up.

Yeah, that music video also comes in the DVD of the 2004 movie. When I watched it (the music video) I was like "WTF?!" It was kinda weird. xd

I saw it right at the begining of my obsession (phantom that is ) and wow. Came out to quite a shock. Especially SB eyes eek eek eek . O.O Scary... The blend is quite nice but the acting is way too much in my opinion , and Raoul really looks like a Fop . Urg and I usually really like him but there yuckyuckyuck

I have to say, I'm very fond of this video, as it kinda started the whole Phantom phenomena. I'm an avid fan of Sarah Brightman, so I was aware of this version before I even knew what the Phantom of the Opera really was... and yeah, its cheesy, through and through..! But I love it.

I agree with you on the end, where Steve starts his escapade of "Ing my angel, SING!!". I find what gets me in this video (other than the cheap kalidoscope effects) is how he physically looks. I find him looking, dare I say, a bit.......constipated?
